Alex [Darrin McBreen in this Nightly News piece] talks with Pastor Steven Anderson in-studio today. He is featured in the film, After The Tribulation, available at the Infowars Store. The whole problem with the notion that the tribulation will take place before the rapture, is not the position of the rapture, but the questions..
“Whose Tribulation is it anyway”?
Satan’s tribulation has been ongoing for 6,000 years. To expect the saints, which have been buffeted by Belzabub, tempted, tried, torn asunder, slain with the sword, tortured, destitute, tormented for 6,000 years now, to also go through the ‘Great Tribulation’ which is also called “The Wrath of God’.. is a bit much,. besides that it is entirely un-Biblical.
Paul said it in 3 places and it couldn’t be any plainer; you don’t need hundreds of commentaries to understand Paul. VIZ:
Romans 5:9
‘Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved (not IN) (not THROUGH) but FROM the wrath through him.”
I Thessalonians 5:9
“For God has NOT appointed us to Wrath; but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ’.
II Thessalonians 1:7 & 8
‘And to you who are troubled, ‘rest with us,’ when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in Flaming Fire taking VENGEANCE on them that ‘KNOW NOW GOD”, and that OBEY NOT the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ’.
It can’t be any plainer.
The problem with so many writers, is that they fail to distinguish between the ‘tribulation which is common to all men’ and the GREAT Tribulation’ to come, which is GOD’s, and which will make everything satan has ever done.. pale by comparison.

Paul is talking about being saved from God’s wrath of eternal destruction in hell. Salvation in heaven is compared with eternal destruction in hell.
It’s important to not exclude verses that give the full meaning, which is what verse 9 does with your last text. Paul’s statement with verse 9:
7 and to give relief to you who are afflicted with us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, 8 giving vengeance to those who don’t know God, and to those who don’t obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus, 9 who will pay the penalty: eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might
