Derek Prince Spiritual or Soulish Worship — Soulish ‘Christians’ cannot discern the difference, are easily deceived

Derek Prince Spiritual or Soulish Worship in the church today. Derek Prince sermon states that one of the essential things for spiritual success is to be able to discern between the soulish and the spiritual. Derek Prince believes the church in modern times cannot discern the difference. Soulish worship appeals to the emotions, and its sounds very good, and it will stir you up emotionally but it doesn’t do within you you what needs to be done. So soulish Christians are very easily deceived. Derek Prince has 50 years worth of ministry experience and know what it looks like to put on an act. It will get people crying, giving and excited but it doesn’t really change people. This is the difference between spiritual and soulish Christianity.

My comment:

Totally true! Many “churches” today even crank the music to almost rock concert levels so people think something significant is happening; though, it’s all flesh, NOT the Holy Spirit. And most can’t tell that the service is spiritually dead, including pastors.

Many of the worship leaders are more interested in being seen than actually worshiping God. Most cannot worship in Spirit and in truth because they’re lust addicted, etc., walking in the flesh instead of in the Spirit.

Those who can see, who have the gift of discernment of spirits, if they tell what’s really going on, pastors reprimand them, and never apologize so they’re right with God and men, like Paul always made sure he was (Acts 24:16). They’re in BIG trouble with God!

It’s a show.

Not even one church in the US has a reputation for being alive today, let alone is alive. We’re not even at church-of-Sardis level!:

Rev. 3:1 “And to the angel of the assembly in Sardis write: He who has the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars says these things: “I know your works, that you have a REPUTATION OF BEING ALIVE, BUT YOU ARE DEAD. 2 Wake up, and keep the things that remain, which you were about to throw away, for I have found no works of yours perfected before…God. 3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If therefore you won’t watch, I will come as a thief, and you won’t know what hour I will come upon you. 4 Nevertheless you have A FEW names in Sardis THAT DID NOT DEFILE their garments. They will walk with me in white, for THEY ARE WORTHY. 5 HE WHO *OVERCOMES* will be arrayed in white garments, and I will in no way BLOT HIS NAME OUT OF THE BOOK OF LIFE, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Jack Deere: My Desire for Power Enabled Paul Cain’s Manipulation

From: https://stephendeere.substack.com

Editor’s Note: My father recently shared his insights on the scandal at IHOPKC involving Mike Bickle here. In his account, he referenced an email that he characterized as manipulative from Bickle. The email suggested removing a chapter about Paul Cain from the latest edition of his book, now retitled “Why I’m Still Surprised By the Voice of God.” Despite Bickle’s objections, the chapter remained in the book, albeit with revisions. The revisions were not solely based on Bickle’s objections, but also on others’ input. Due to readers requests’, my dad granted me permission to publish the 2022 original draft that prompted Bickle to raise concerns about his chapter devoted to Paul Cain. The draft chapter was penned at least two years before the latest disclosures about Bickle’s clergy sexual abuse scandal. Given recent events, my dad’s perspective on what transpired more than 20 years ago with Paul is still evolving. From what I understand, Bickle introduced my father to Paul Cain, a connection that led to profound harm to our family. Nevertheless, this draft chapter also acknowledges a prayer my dad learned from Bickle that he believes helped liberate him from Paul’s influence. — Stephen Deere

Misty Edwards Involved in Adulterous Affairs – Mike Bickle News Scandal & Allegations Update ihopkc. Julie Roys from the Roys Reprot drop another bombshell article that Misty Edwards was Involved in two adulterous affairs.

Two well-known Christian worship leaders, Kevin Prosch and Misty Edwards, privately confessed to a years-long affair that started before Prosch and his second wife divorced, sources told The Roys Report. According to Brent Steeno, Edwards told him about an affair with Prosch in December 2021. Steeno was on staff at ihopkc when Misty Edwards confided in him about these affairs. Steeno said Edwards told him the affair was ongoing and had begun seven years earlier, around 2014.

Prosch was married to Shelly Bickle which is Mike Bickle sister but they divorced in 2016. Steeno said Edwards also confessed another secret involving a man she refused to name. Steeno has produced texts with Edwards that corroborate his accounts. Joel Richardson said that Prosch confirmed the affair with Edwards in a three-way call last October between Richardson, Prosch, and Jose Diaz. Also Prosch and Edwards were charged with driving under the influence and public intoxication, respectively. Prosch was also charged with failing to stop at a stop sign and speeding. During their relationship they were also doing drugs.

Steeno said he was very concerned about Edwards’ well-being after hearing her confession. So, in January 2022, Steeno said he told two members of IHOPKC’s ELT—former IHOPKC Executive Director Stuart Greaves and Senior VP Lenny LaGuardia—about what Edwards had told him. Despite this, Edwards continued serving on the ELT for another 19 months. So ihopkc basically did nothing and allowed Misty to continue in ministry. This whole dark and sinful narritive is confirmed by many text messages that Steeno provided the Roy report.

“Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:2-8)

Mike Bickle: How He Lured Women, Offering Something Nobody Else Did

Female member for six years explains his appeal to women. Narrated story from blog post in 2022.

I commented:

Joel Osteen also always smiles big. It’s a salesman confidence technique that’s faked, instead of just resting in the Holy Spirit. It can also mask their real emotions.

The others didn’t offer this, because it’s unbiblical for women to be overseers over men in the church. Mike was willing to disobey God, and be different.

1 Timothy 2:12-14 is crystal clear. How is it okay to violate scripture, rebelling against God’s design mandate and how He designed men and women to have different strengths and weakness? Rebellion is the sin of witchcraft.

“But I DON’T PERMIT a woman to teach, nor to exercise authority over a man, but to be in quietness. For [because] ADAM WAS FORMED FIRST [given a specific personality to do his big-picture tasks. Eve was then designed by God to complement man with complementary (not the same) characteristics — proven now by science], then Eve. Adam WASN’T DECEIVED, but the WOMAN, BEING DECEIVED, has fallen into disobedience….”

Misty Edwards Admits She’s ‘Still Winning’ Despite Long Affair With Kevin Prosch 13th Mar, 2024

My comment:

I fully agree with you! The only way to “win” as a worship leader is to be holy, so we can worship in Spirit and in truth, leading others into the presence of God. If we’re not holy, clean, we can’t worship until we repent and get right with everyone, like Paul ALWAYS made sure he could say:

“..I also practice ALWAYS having a CONSCIENCE VOID OF OFFENSE toward God and MEN.” – Acts 24:16

It’s true that “repent” isn’t said much anymore, but “reconcile” is hardly ever mentioned at all, what Jesus said we must do before giving our gift at the altar, and what Paul made sure he always did.

Twila Paris was a good example decades ago. She just worshiped God in purity, not to get glory for herself. Much of her music was anointed as a result.

Misty has always seemed like a showman to me. She used her musical gift to show people how special she was, instead of showing people how special Jesus is.

A real worship leader’s goal is to be invisible, to connect people with God, not show how great she is.

I don’t see how she was a victim, like some are saying.

Mike gave her the head worship leader title; though, she was the worship leader who worshiped the least.

Something was seriously strange between those two.

Beware of creating a god in your own image

Most pastors teach an unbalanced version of God. They only teach the kindness aspect, never the SEVERITY of God, which Paul clearly taught:

Romans 11:20 ..Don’t be conceited, but FEAR; 21 for if God didn’t spare the natural branches [the truly ethnic Jews], neither will he spare you. 22 See then the GOODNESS *and* SEVERITY of God. Toward those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, IF YOU CONTINUE in his GOODNESS; OTHERWISE YOU WILL ALSO BE *CUT OFF* [like in Mt. 7:19 and John 15:6].

At the gates of heaven, the angels told him he HADN’T MADE JESUS LORD. He had served self, so couldn’t enter, and that only 2.5% were entering heaven then, 44 years ago. Imagine how much lower the percentage is today. THIS IS SERIOUS!

And Rep. Lauren Boebert needs to be called out, believing she can do filthy things and still be a “Christian.” She’s known for loudly standing against drag queens; though, she’s caught sexually playing with a leftist who owns a bar that hosts drag queens!

She’s a complete hypocrite, who won’t admit she seriously sinned, and many “Christians’ are defending her.

She reminds me of “Christian” Sarah Palin, whom I’ve written much about since 2008.

Calvary Chapel’s ‘Don’t Talk’ Rule: Even “In a situation where something in the church is so completely wrong that the sheep in the body are in spiritual danger, then say nothing to anybody, resign, and move on”

Related: Joe Schimmel: The cultlike ‘don’t talk’ rule — protecting unrepentant pastors & false teaching from “gossip”

Excerpt from “The Ministry of an Assisting Pastor” by Larry Taylor (1994), Calvary Chapel’s primer for Assisting Pastors

(Note: Larry Taylor has since repented of the this book and it’s contents and left CC)

7. Never Gossip

Gossip is a sin that most of us feel we are not guilty of, and which most of us are very guilty of. Gossip may be defined as saying anything negative, whether true or not, to anyone about the pastor or about the ministry. If there are things wrong, take it to the Lord in prayer. Tell absolutely no one, including your spouse. Do not repeat anything that would cast aspersion on the ministry in any way. Doing so dishonors Christ and His cause.

But, you say, what do you do if there are real problems? Pray about them and forget them. If that doesn’t work, take your concerns directly and only to the pastor himself, and share with him honestly. If that doesn’t work, resign, and move on. Under no circumstances should you ever say anything negative about the pastor or the ministry to anyone, even after you’ve quit.

In a situation where something in the church is so completely wrong that the sheep in the body are in spiritual danger, then say nothing to anybody, resign, and move on. If the church is a Calvary Chapel affiliate, then take your concerns and share them privately with Pastor Chuck or with Oden Fong, then drop it; leave it alone. Let them handle it. Trust God. He’ll correct the situation. But do not gossip. It is a terrible sin before God.

David Pawson: False teachers gain credibility by twisting scriptures to push OSAS

Quote from David Pawson: Once Saved Always Saved? (p. 97)

False teachers can increase their credibility by quoting scriptures and claiming to explain the difficult passages, especially in Paul’s letters, which ‘ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other scriptures, to their own destruction’ (2 Peter 3:16). Note that Paul’s epistles are already classed as ‘scriptures’, alongside the Old Testament, by the time 2 Peter was written; and that some parts of them were already proving ‘hard to understand’! The closing exhortation is accordingly appropriate: ‘Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position’ (2 Peter 3:17).

Saint Peter the Egyptian (4th-5th century):

Some other time Peter was asked: ‘What is a servant of God?’ His answer was this: ‘As long as one practices any kind of passion he cannot be called servant of God, but he is the servant of that passion which conquers him. As long as he is conquered he cannot teach others who are conquered by the same passions, because it is shameful for him to teach before he has been freed from that passion about which he teaches.’ (source)

“So many pastors go out of their way confirming people’s salvation. I don’t see this approach in Scripture; it’s actually quite the opposite. Great fear and terrible trembling must overtake us daily. It will determine where we will spend forever”

John Burton on Facebook, 8/16/22

So many pastors go out of their way confirming people’s salvation. They make it easy to get saved. They want them to feel secure in their eternity. Why? I don’t see this approach in Scripture. It’s actually quite the opposite.

There should be a never-ending wrestling match regarding our position in Christ. It’s common to lose it, challenging to retain it.

It costs everything. It’s never settled until we die.

Great fear and terrible trembling must overtake us daily. It will determine where we will spend forever.

Survey: Only 37% of Christian pastors hold biblical worldview – 9% in black churches, 6% of Catholic priests

‘Shocking’ survey finds only half of Evangelical pastors hold biblical worldview

MAY 29, 2022

In what researchers described as a “shocking” find, a new report from the Cultural Research Center (CRC) at Arizona Christian University indicated just over half of all U.S. pastors of Evangelical churches (51%) have a biblical worldview.

This study, released Tuesday, builds on an earlier report from CRC’s “American Worldview Inventory 2022,” which showed that just 37% of Christian pastors bring a biblical worldview with them to their pulpits. …

Study: More pastors say they have considered quitting, cite stress, loneliness and politics

Why? Almost all pastors today teach the false doctrine of “once saved always saved,” instead of how we must actually abide in Christ to be “in Christ,” walking not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit,” so we then have “no condemnation” and the fruit of the Spirit:

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

Most pastors are in Paul’s “will not inherit the kingdom” list in Galatians 5 instead.

“Worship Leaders Hit with Pandemic Burnout” — They’re burned out because it’s fake — not really worship

It’s not because of Covid. They’re burned out because it’s fake — not real worship. God requires worshipers worship in Spirit and in truth, which requires holiness, being right with God and others, like Paul always practiced (Acts 24:16). Then God responds with His love and glory, and it’s never boring, dull or unfulfilling.

STORY

John Bevere: False teachers tell the deceived they’re in right standing, but they have yet to submit to Jesus’ Lordship

A friend whom I attended Bible School with in the ’80s is reading John Bevere’s book, Thus Saith The Lord: How to know when God is speaking to you through another. Thankfully, she recognized this paragraph as being so important that she transcribed it from chapter three, “The True Prophetic Ministry I”:

Many of the deceived even now attend church and feel they’re ready for Jesus’ return. Not unlike the multitude in John the Baptist’s time, they comfort themselves with their church attendance, tithing record, ability to speak in tongues, or ability to flow in other gifts. They feel certain God is obligated to accept them because they once prayed a sinner’s prayer, though they have yet to submit to the Lordship of Jesus. They only obey when it is convenient or doesn’t conflict with their schedule or agenda. If obedience to the Master interferes with their pleasure, they casually ignore His leading, claiming ‘the grace of God.’ They may believe they are justified, but are they? Could they be the lukewarm church Jesus confronts in Revelation, which finds confidence in a false grace (Rev. 3:14-22)? Unfortunately, this condition is further propagated by false prophets and teachers who tell them they are in right standing with God.

Telling people what they want to hear at the expense of what they need to hear weakens the church.
