As Jesus: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do”

George Janko “You Can’t Be Anxious And Grateful At The Same Time” ❤️

“There’s a study that I found pretty exciting. They said the part of your brain that you get anxiety from is the same part of your brain that has gratitude.

You can’t be grateful and anxious at the same time. So then in the Bible, where it goes: instead of being anxious, be grateful, it’s so crazy to think that they were calling out legitimate things that scientists have found out.”

Alaska Sen. Shelley Hughes: Working WITH legislators WITHOUT holding grudges, PRAYING FOR those who have done questionable things!

Sen. Shelley Hughes @ 9:00 – “Another thing I have employed in my role is to really try to work with everyone in the legislature without holding grudges, even if someone has done something that maybe is questionable, is to really have a good attitude, even when it would be easy to get resentful about things. And my trick for that — I am a person of faith — if somebody has done something wrong, instead of letting that resentment build up, I actually pray for that person. And it really changes my mindset, and keeps my attitude. I think having good relationships has paid off.”

Every night FORGIVE those who hurt you, PRAY FOR those who need it, and THANK our Heavenly Father for everything you have.

Russ Taff’s abusive pastor father jealous of his own son’s talent and anointing — Russ’ struggle to be free revealed in the film ‘I Still Believe’

This heavy, honest film just opened up a new level of understanding to me for what many have gone through.

The abuse showed itself in many ways and was devastating to his mother too, who then also abused Russ and his brothers. But this statement of how Russ’ own pastor father was jealous of Russ’ talent when the Holy Spirit filled him, that’s just sick beyond what I had thought possible.

So I’m doing this post on Russ’ dad giving him the silent treatment because he was jealous of his own son.

Russ then lied about his addiction, living a superficial life for decades until he was emotionally healed.

Thankfully, he married the right lady; 30-day rehab worked, and was prayed for by a special man who expressed the heart of our Heavenly Father!

Famous Christian musician Russ Taff speaking about his alcoholic, abusive pastor father’s jealousy of his son, Russ:

“When I started really shining he got jealous. That started a dance between he and I until I left home — that when I would do real well and the Holy Spirit would move he would emotionally punish me, where he wouldn’t even acknowledge me for a couple of days.”

– Transcribed from Russ Taff: I Still Believe at minute-12:10

Film’s description:

The award-winning Christian music icon shares his story of freedom from alcoholism and childhood abuse that kept him in a prison of private shame.

The Psychology of Racism, Jerry Mungadze: “We cannot hang onto the pain of discrimination and slavery forever, carrying the bitterness to where you suspect every white person looks down on you when they really don’t”

Jerry Mungadze tells some of his experiences where he was discriminated against, and how he handled it. Then says:

10:10 “To my people, the biggest thing I have to say is: we cannot hang onto the pain of discrimination and slavery forever, because if we do, we get stuck, because it’s not going to hurt them. They’re not going to lose sleep over it. It’s us who carry that bitterness to where you suspect every white person to look down on you when they really don’t.”

14:10 “In our community as black people, we can’t keep saying ‘white people, you need to change; you need to change the way you treat us. We have to change ourselves. Because we do have our racist thoughts too, and we have to overcome those.”

Bill Wiese: Are We Believing Deceptive Lies? – “Anything else should be questioned. The Bible is God’s truth”

Exceptionally wise and pertinent words to overcome during these deceptive last days!

NOTES I TRANSCRIBED:

“The deception in these last days is overwhelming.”

“The enemy’s … primary weapon is subtle deception. He comes at us with carefully crafted arguments that stir up our emotions, and he often mixes in a little truth into the lies he promotes, causing us to question our God-given instinct. He comes back again and again until we are offended and angry. He knows that an offended person has compromised judgment.”

“The media has become the most powerful vehicle of lies, evil and confusion of our time. … And if you disagree with them you become ridiculed, hated, slandered.”

“We must stop and question the information being planted in our hearts and minds. We must each investigate the other side of the story.”

Romans 16:18 “By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.” BSB

The Bible says numerous times “take heed that no one deceives you.”

“If we are moved by feelings and feed on lies how are we to discern the truth” as the delusion increases with more serious birth pain events?

We should ask ourselves in humility:
• Have I been siding with evil?
• Do I really want to know the truth?
• Am I offended?
• Has my heart been hardened?
• Has my love gone cold?

“Anything else should be questioned. This [lays his hand on the Bible] is God’s truth.”

(vid) Peggy Hall: Encouragement In This Fight Against Evil — “Don’t care what other people think” • “Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear”

Encouraging word from Peggy Hall — unbothered by the haters and shamers!

“I encourage people to not care what other people think. It doesn’t matter what other people think. It only matters what God thinks. … It only matters what rings true for you.”

Peggy loves and quotes Psalm 27:

The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked came against me
To eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
3 Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.

Vengeance is always wrong, regardless who was wronged. God will repay.

Vengeance is always wrong, regardless who was wronged or by how much:

Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, “Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.” – Paul in Romans 12:19

HATED BY THE WORLD – “God bless them right now…”

BLESS THEM THAT CURSE YOU. BLESS AND CURSE NOT. PRAY FOR THEM WHO PERSECUTE YOU.

1 Corinthians 4:13 Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.

Romans 12:14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

(vid) Trump challenged to abide in Christ and love his enemies | “When we refuse to forgive, our sins are not forgiven” – Rick Wiles, leads by example!

16:55 Congresswoman Xochitl Torres Small reads John 15 to Donald Trump, who heard the abiding part, and what happens to those who don’t abide, but then Trump talked with the man next to him, missing Jesus’ desire that our joy would be full, when we abide in the Vine, walking in love.

21:43 Trump challenged to love his enemies. His reaction shows he heard and understood the challenge.

24:44 Rick Wiles’ example: loving and forgiving our enemies — ‘no hate.’

29:30 “I’ve seen people needlessly suffer. I’ve seen them go to the grave with their diseases, unwilling to forgive.” – Rick Wiles

“When we refuse to forgive as a Christian, our sins are not forgiven by God the Father. … Forgiveness of others is mandatory, required if you want God to forgive your sins. … If you are unwilling to forgive even one person in this life, your sins that you have committed since you’ve been born-again, your sins aren’t forgiven. Jesus said if you won’t forgive your brother God the Father will not forgive you.”

31:25 “So it’s a sad thing to watch President Trump and Nancy Pelosi sit there at the prayer breakfast fume and steam, and have hatred and bitterness and unforgiveness in their hearts towards each other. It’s sad.”

(6 min vid) “I will NOT forgive IF they don’t repent” — Dead to this world – No place for resentment in the heart of a Christian

Best 6-minute summary I’ve ever seen. George nails it!

– –

SHOULD WE FORGIVE IF THEY DON’T REPENT?

Some Christians say that if a brother does not repent, if they don’t come back to say they are sorry, we should not forgive them. They use the passage when Jesus said “Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.” (Matthew 18:15)

Dear brothers and sisters, a true Christian is a dead man to the world. They don’t keep record of wrong, they don’t care about their pride and their ego. They don’t care about being treated unjustly because they are dead to this world.

The passage that speaks about confronting our brother who sins against us in Matthew 18 is about a fellowship setting. If we are in fellowship together as brothers and sisters, we need to brings everything out into the open. We need to rebuke, correct each other but IN LOVE. This is because we need to stay in one accord and to walk together, we need to agree together.

However that doesn’t mean that we should not forgive anyone who has wronged us even if they don’t repent, not only Christians but also unbelievers.

When Jesus was on the cross, He said: FORGIVE THEM because they know not what they do. The people who crucified Him did not repent prior to Jesus saying that. The same with Stephen when he was being stoned, he said: “don’t lay this to their charge”.

There is no place for resentment in the heart of a Christian. We need to forgive everyone and for anything. We need to trust Jesus to deliver righteous judgment when we will stand before Him. He will repay, it is not up to us to repay.

May God bless you

(vid) Art Mathias: Healed Because He Forgave — “I purpose and I choose to forgive from my heart”

Art Mathias, founder of Wellspring Ministries in Anchorage, Alaska tells his scary and wonderful story! I transcribed these quotes:

“Fear is the opposite of faith. If I’m in fear and worry I am not trusting God. So I had to repent for the fear, go back into faith, start believing God’s promises, then the pain levels would come down. As I got rid of my bitterness, as I got rid of my resentments, as I learned how to forgive and really fall into obedience to the scriptures, then my fear went away, my physical body settled down, my immune system healed. Then my physical body healed.”

“Forgiving from our heart is a choice. … I purpose and I choose to forgive from my heart. And the tormentors*…. The only way we can get rid of those heavy, negative emotions….

“We see literally thousands of people healed every year as we teach them how to forgive.”

* The “tormentors” (Mt. 18 KJV) are actually demons. My article, which has changed minds on this key subject:

Can a Christian Have a Demon? Absolutely! Most Have Many!

I transcribed at minute 17:00:

“You should discern, but not be angry. You should see evil, but not be angry at what you see because evil will overtake you and it will control you. Discern it without the anger. So see evil, speak up, but don’t hate.” – Jesse Lee Peterson

Forgiving-Others Prayer (Repentance Prayer) – To Be Free!

Repentance Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of The Lord Jesus, I purpose and choose to forgive (name) from my whole heart for (what they did).

I release (name). I cancel their debts and obligations to me in this issue.
Dear Lord, I ask you to forgive me for my bitterness toward (above name) in this situation.

In the name of Jesus, by the power of Your blood, I cancel all of Satan’s power and authority over me in this issue, because I have forgiven them, and You have forgiven me. It is done and over with.

Holy Spirit, please come and heal my heart. And please tell me your truth about this situation.

I now purpose and choose to forgive myself.

The counselor then gives the person praying an opportunity to speak what God often says. This is a great way to hear God’s voice!

Mine then asked: Do you feel any guilt or condemnation? Does it hurt anymore?

Prayer is explained in my 2009 post: Forgiving-Others, Freedom Prayer!

(vid) Man FORGIVES His Mother and Gets FREE!

(flower) "Turn hatred into love — forgive."

"We must not walk around with bitterness and unforgiveness in our heart. We must forgive others to be forgiven by Jesus also. We must not repay evil with evil, but with good. We must love and not hate, bless and not curse. Bitterness and unforgiveness will cause many to end up at the wrong end destination. The wages of sin is death" – Christiena Boshoff

“We must not walk around with bitterness and unforgiveness in our heart. We must forgive others to be forgiven by Jesus also. We must not repay evil with evil but with good. We must love and not hate, bless and not curse. Bitterness and unforgiveness will cause many to end up at the wrong end destination. The wages of sin is death.”

Christiena Boshoff

When we choose to forgive…

Mark 11:25-26
“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
