Teen Challenge Founder David Wilkerson Dies

David Wilkerson, who pastored the 5,000-strong Times Square Church (left) in one of New York City’s seedier red light districts, and who founded the highly successful faith-based Teen Challenge drug treatment and Christian mentoring program, has died at the age of 79. As reported by the Associated Press, Wilkerson was killed April 27 “in a car accident in East Texas, Texas Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Tela Mange said. Wilkerson’s car smashed head-on into a tractor-trailer rig after veering into oncoming traffic on U.S. 175 west of Cuney, about 95 miles southeast of Dallas, Mange said.”

Nicky Cruz: David Wilkerson ‘Never Lost His Heart’
Gang leader-turned-evangelist misses his spiritual father.

Nicky Cruz remembers the David Wilkerson he met on the streets of New York in the 1950s—the “skinny preacher” who walked a message of Jesus’ love into gang-owned neighborhoods that police were afraid to enter and faced, without flinching, people most gangs didn’t dare mess with; people like Cruz, who back then led the feared Mau Maus of Brooklyn.

He remembers the forceful pastor who led ministries with worldwide influence like Teen Challenge and Times Square Church, a “straight shooter” who “never danced around anything. He was very straight, and always you said, ‘Wow, Dave, he’s hard.'”

But over the last 15 years, the man who counted Wilkerson as a close friend and spiritual father for half a century says what he gradually came to understand: “All these years … Dave Wilkerson was a teddy bear.”

“Always when I see him and I hug him … I say, ‘I love you.’ Even on the telephone, ‘I love you.’ And Dave is not expressive, [but] whenever we were alone, always he told me ‘I love you, son,'” Cruz told Christianity Today in an interview Thursday.

The last time Cruz saw Wilkerson, some weeks ago, they spoke for three hours. Cruz told him about Thousand Pieces, a film in the works about Cruz’s life, including the encounter with Wilkerson that led to his transformation. Wilkerson related his side of that story in the classic book The Cross and the Switchblade (which later became a film starring Pat Boone as Wilkerson and Erik Estrada as Cruz). The new film’s name comes from something that Wilkerson said to Cruz after the gang leader threatened to kill him: “You could cut me in a thousand pieces and lay them out in the street and every piece would love you.”

“New York in that time was bombarded by gangs, and we were the prime leaders of the gangs,” Cruz said. “Even Frankenstein and Dracula were afraid to walk in that neighborhood. And he’s a skinny preacher! Came from nowhere. There’s no way that a type of guy like this can be so strong to stand [on] his own and to really really really take it.”

“He can take a bullet, he can be killed, but he stood because [he was] obedient to Jesus. Jesus sent him there to bring the message to the gangs. … I almost killed him then because I really was totally full of hate. That was when he told me that Jesus loved me.”

I must admit I was a little nervous about reading Francis Chan’s Crazy Love Overwhelmed By a Relentless God. I had heard the hype and thought it might make me feel like a failure. As a new true Christian, I am fully aware of my failures. When I gave my life to Christ, I instantly began to question all the things I had been taught and told throughout my life about God and Christianity. When I really began to read my Bible, I saw that things did not add up. I began to deeply pray for wisdom and knowledge.

Francis Chan has put his finger on the problem in American Christianity. He even states in his book that when he began to realize something was wrong and ask questions, people told him he was “good enough” or “godly enough”. I have heard those same things as well. This book made me “test myself to see if I was in the faith”. Just like Paul says we should. Some of the content wasn’t easy to hear but I didn’t feel discouraged, I felt like there was hope. God calls us to a higher standard. He has given us so much.

If every person who has read this book, including myself, would take it to heart, we could make a great change in this world. It would be a better place. The way God intended for it to be. I don’t just want to go out and do something good, I want to make a life change.

I recommend this book to anyone who wants to grow closer to God and follow Christ.

Federal agents also allege that Transportation Safety Administration Officer Thomas Gordon Jr. of Philadelphia, who routinely searched airline passengers, uploaded explicit pictures of young girls to an Internet site on which he also posted a photograph of himself in his TSA uniform.

Grace. It’s now all about grace — we hear over and over and over.
But what does the Bible really say? And what is grace?

There is so much misunderstanding about how the new covenant is different than the old covenant. Much of this is due to the misinterpretation of the word ‘grace,’ and it’s way deeper than that.
Here I’ve compiled a list of the false statements I’ve been hearing from the grace changers (the false teachers of our day), who are teaching these as being the truth — ruining the church.

13 Common Misconceptions About the New Covenant

[FALSEHOOD] The requirements in the new covenant are less than in the old.
[THE TRUTH] What did Jesus say in Matthew 5, and what did Paul say in Acts 17?

[WordPOWER!] Jesus Ups the Ante – Matthew 5:21-22: “YOU HAVE HEARD that it was said…, ‘You shall not murder’…. BUT I TELL YOU, that everyone who is ANGRY with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment”

[FALSEHOOD] If born-again ‘Christians’ feel condemnation, it’s really only conviction. Condemnation is a lie from the Devil because: “There is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus“ — Romans 1a without the 1b
[THE TRUTH] “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”
[FALSEHOOD] People in the old covenant were under the law, but we are under “grace” — so they had to obey the law but we don’t have to obey anything (or Anyone).
[THE TRUTH] See: The meaning of “Grace” (χαρις) in the Bible: It’s not what you think?
[FALSEHOOD] The 10 Commandments were replaced by “grace + nothing.” Now we don’t have to do anything.

[THE TRUTH] Jesus superceded the 10 Commandments with the Greatest Two — a greater requirement, not less.
Matthew 22:

36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?” 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”

Romans 13:

8 Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. 9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not give false testimony,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love doesn’t harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.

1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer. 2 Every branch in me that doesn’t bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. 5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If a man doesn’t remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you. 8 “In this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples. 9 Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and remain in his love. 11 I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full. 12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you.

[FALSEHOOD] Paul rebuked the Galatians for thinking they had to do works.
[THE TRUTH] Paul rebuked the Galatians for thinking they had to do the works of the law. In Galatians 5:13 – 6:10, Paul clearly explains what we now have to do in the new covenant. Read in Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way | Who are the Children of God?
[FALSEHOOD] In Romans 7, Paul couldn’t overcome sin as a born-again believer — so if we don’t overcome sin that is normal.

[THE TRUTH] Romans 7 was the struggle that Paul had before he was born-again, before he had the Holy Spirit in him to empower him to overcome as he says we must do in the following chapter to even be called children of God. People don’t read far enough — or just read what they want to read.
[FALSEHOOD] Paul didn’t get right with those he hurt so we don’t have to either.

[THE TRUTH] See: Can ‘Christians’ use Paul’s “Forgetting the things which are behind…I press on” statement as an excuse to not get right with those they’ve hurt? Paul also said: “I also practice ALWAYS having a conscience void of offense toward God and men.”
[FALSEHOOD] The fear of God isn’t supposed to be fear but just reverence.

[THE TRUTH] Paul said “work out your salvation through fear and trembling. We should fear and tremble in what God will do to us if we don’t work out our own salvation by making sure we abide in Him.
Mt. 10:28 — “Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell.”

And is this merely reverence? Great fear came on the people when Ananias and Sapphira were killed by God. The people didn’t want to be also zapped. And many were added to their number too. Consider also what God said he would do to Jezebel and her children if she didn’t repent (Rev. 1).

[FALSEHOOD] It’s hard to lose one’s salvation.

[THE TRUTH] Read Revelation 3:1-5 in Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way | Who are the Children of God? And the church in Sardis actually had a reputation for being alive, unlike almost every church today.
[FALSEHOOD] Once our names are in the Book of Life they can’t be removed.

[THE TRUTH] See how only a few in the church in Sardis would not have their names removed from the Book of Life. Read Revelation 3:1-5 in Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way | Who are the Children of God? And the church in Sardis actually had a reputation for being alive, unlike almost every church today.
[FALSEHOOD] We can be lukewarm and still go to heaven.

[THE TRUTH] Revelation 3:15-16 — “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth.
[FALSEHOOD] But Jesus didn’t really mean that. A pastor recently said from the pulpit that he doesn’t believe a Christian can be deceived enough to lose his/her salvation.

[THE TRUTH] Paul said in Galatians 6:7,8 — “Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that will he also reap. For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”
In Galatians 5, Paul gave two lists: those who are Christ’s have the fruit of the Spirit, having crucified their flesh.
And then there are those who are bound for Hell.

19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, 21 envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

Therefore Jesus upped the ante, increased the requirements for us who now have the Holy Spirit in us to help us overcome. And overcome we must:

“Those who are led by the Spirit are the children of God.”

Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

“Work out your salvation through fear and trembling.”

“If you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.”

“He who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,
who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”

ANDREW STROM: When I heard the following dreams, they literally affected me more than any visions or prophecies I have ever heard…

Some people don’t like us publishing these things, but the Bible clearly says that “In the last days, says God, I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh… Your young men shall see visions. Your old men shall dream dreams.” (Acts 2:17). Dreams and visions from God can be important. They are all the way through the book of Acts. We dismiss them at our peril.

To continue – My wife and I are both musicians (-we now perform with our daughters who harmonize beautifully). For many years we have been strongly drawn to, and inspired by, the example of the Revival “street music” of the early Salvation Army. In 1989 we formed our first “street-band”, seeking God for the mighty ‘Repentance’ anointing that the early Salvationists had. We were real “Street Music/ Street Revival” type people. So when I first heard a tape of this ‘Sons of Thunder’ message years later in 1993, I just wept, as I had never before heard such powerful confirmation of all this. The anointing of God was so strong. May the following overview by James Ryle be as much of a blessing to you as it has been to me.

THE SONS of THUNDER – A SYNOPSIS of DREAMS -by James Ryle.

The following insight occurred to me in August 1990 as a result of three dreams. In the first dream I saw a flatbed trailer with a curtain behind it. This trailer was parked at a fairground, as if a concert was about to happen. There were two guitars on the mobile stage. The color of these guitars was the most vivid, electric blue that one could imagine. What impressed me most was that the guitars were not painted, but stained. It had obviously taken time to make them blue. The curtain was the same color as the guitars. Two men walked from behind the curtain with sheet music in their hands. They were very excited, and could hardly wait to play this music. One said to the other, “Wait till they hear this. Its going to be just like when the Beatles played their music!” In the dream I also became excited. I turned to see the crowd that was gathering at the stage and the scene changed before my eyes. The audience became a vast body of water, like a lake, and as the musicians played the new song I saw fishing lines cast out into the water. The dream ended. My waking thoughts were that God is about to release a new kind of song in the streets. It will bring a revelation of the truth and it will usher people into His presence. The anointing of the Lord will be with musicians who have spent time in God’s presence “behind the curtain” receiving a deep love for the lost. The lyrics of their songs will be as “fishing lines” cast into the hearts of men and women needing Christ.

In the second dream, I was on the stage in a large church. There was an equipment room on the right side of the stage. It had microphones, cables, amplifiers and other kinds of things that collect in closets. In one corner of the room I saw a power amplifier covered with dust. The cord was wrapped about it, and it had not been used for a long time. When I looked closer I saw written on the front, “The Beatles Power Amp.” I knew in that moment that this box was the source of their sound and their power. I knew that anyone could plug into this box and, in effect, have what the Beatles had – an incredible ability to mobilize masses of people to a single thing. As I stood there holding the Beatles power amplifier, I asked aloud this question, “What is this doing here in the Church’s equipment room?” Suddenly I was out of the equipment room and standing behind the pulpit at this church, still holding the amp. The enormous church, throughout the main floor and all about the balcony, was packed with people from every nation. A very beautiful woman, radiant with a glow of glory, stood in the middle of the church and began singing a song from the Lord. A light shone upon her and her voice filled the auditorium. All she sang was: “In the name of Jesus Christ the Lord we say unto you, be saved.” She sang it over and over. She would turn to her right and sing, then turn to her left and sing; then she would turn behind her and before her and sing the same thing. As I watched her sing, it was like a wind blowing on a wheat field. The people began to swoon in the presence of God and then collapse in their seats — converted to Christ! God’s power was moving through the music. The dream ended.

My thoughts upon waking were clear. There is going to be a new sound and distinctive anointing from the Lord upon music that will turn the heads and capture the hearts of men and women for Jesus. The reason the Beatles power Amp was in the Church’s equipment room is because God meant for it to be a part of the church’s equipment in reaching the lost for Christ. Music does not belong to the world, but to the Church. Music does not belong to the Devil, but to Christ. Satan has indeed stolen the hearts of musicians and their gift of music to use for his own evil purposes. The Church in many cases has unwittingly surrendered this to the devil without any fight at all. Music was given to worship the Lord but Satan has turned it for self-worship, which is the reason people tend to worship musicians. But true worship and true music belong to Jesus Christ. They are given to His church to serve Him with. I truly believe the anointing the Lord will release on music is going to sweep the world in a manner like the Beatles did when they first performed. But instead of drawing attention to themselves (like the Beatles did), the anointed musicians of the Lord will draw attention to Christ alone and give Him all the glory.

In the third dream I was again in the large church where I had seen the amplifier. This time the church was empty except for one man. He was up on stage playing a keyboard and singing to the Lord. It was a beautiful song, and he was crying because of the tender exchange taking place between he and Jesus. He was writing the song right there, spontaneously making it up as he went. I was greatly moved by this song and the man’s pure worship. I had a camera with me and decided to take a picture of this to remember it. I took two Polaroid pictures that came out immediately. When I looked at these pictures I was stunned because both of them were glowing with a golden light. I looked up and then I could see it on the man. The entire platform around him was also glowing like gold. I knew that this was the anointing of God. I showed the man, but it startled him…He looked at the pictures for a second, putting his hands in his pockets he shrugged his shoulders and kicked the ground shyly. “Gosh, I didn’t know you were here, I’m so embarrassed” was all he could say. “You don’t have to apologize for the anointing” I replied. The dream changed. I still had the two photographs of the anointed worshipper in one hand, and in the other I held a parchment. I looked at the scroll and saw it was a letter written by an unknown soldier in the Salvation Army. It said, “The Lord will release into the streets an army of worshipping warriors known as the Sons of Thunder. They will bring forth a witness of worship and praise for the Lord Jesus Christ that will bring many people to God.”

The dream changed once more. I was floating over a wide and long highway that headed in one direction. All lanes were completely grid-locked, jam packed with motorcycle gang members, revving their engines and stirring up dust. It was a graphic picture of lost humanity. Then I saw a group of bikers moving in single file along the service road. They were headed for a field in the distance where there was a monolithic stone. This stone, I knew in the dream, represented the power of Christ and would empower those who touched it to go back to the highway and turn masses of lost people back to God. I looked closer at these motorcyclists as the sped toward the Stone, and saw on their jackets the words “Sons of Thunder.”

As the Sons of Thunder approached the Stone to touch it, a barricade of law officers stood arm to arm in riot gear, opposing the motorcyclists – assuming they were intent on defacing the Stone.

At that moment, I took the parchment in my hand and folded it like a paper airplane. I then placed the photographs inside it and tossed it sail over the heads of the officers. I knew that if the pictures and the promise were to touch the Stone, then the power would be released upon the Sons of Thunder. When the paper was one foot away from the monument, just before actually touching the Stone, my dream ended. I believe this portrays the role of intercessory prayer in helping the Church get past the barricades of legalism, and open the gifts of God for reaching the lost with the message of Christ. The Sons of Thunder, represented by motorcyclists on the service road, illustrate the servantheart of ministry. They also show the agility and decisiveness necessary in reaching the lost. The fact that they were in single file shows, in my opinion, the unity we must maintain as Christians in order for our message about Christ to have credibility…

Now, I extend to you a prayer that God will capture your heart and bring you into full devotion to Christ Jesus. That your passion for music will be equaled by your love for the lost. I pray that you will receive an anointing from God to minister with artistic creativity that is so compelling in its quality, and in its message – that thousands of unbelievers who are lost in darkness will see the light and turn to Jesus to be cleansed and born again!

ANDREW’s COMMENT: In pondering these dreams, it struck me that the name “Sons of Thunder” was used by Jesus for a reason. To me, when he called 2 of his disciples the ‘Sons of Thunder’ it seemed to be because they had this piercing “John the Baptist”- type attitude. “Repentance prophets”. Notice in the dream that the “law officers” were not allowing the Sons of Thunder to get to the ‘Stone’. James Ryle once told me that this Stone actually looked like a long tall “monolith”. It struck me that this was probably the “church” as it has been built up today. The law officers were not allowing the Sons of Thunder to get anywhere near the church. Their message was “not welcome”. And yet somehow it seemed that this new “anointed music” and this “early Salvation Army” approach would somehow gain them access.

Again, I realize that there are some who dislike us publishing these types of dreams and visions, but after years of prayer and “wilderness”, our family is about to release an album of what – to us – is “New Music” unlike what we have ever done before. (More “harmonies” and hopefully ‘catchier’ songs). We have no idea what the reaction will be. Is it more “anointed” in some way? We hope so – but truthfully we do not know. However, I’ll tell you something that I do feel strongly:- Music can open doors and gain us an audience with people that might otherwise never listen. And that – at the very least – is something to look forward to. We have been on this trail for years – well before we even heard of these dreams. But hopefully they will serve as “confirmation” to many who are called into this area.

“TEAR DOWN the WALLS” – A Vision

I also had a vision in 2003 that spoke of a change in the Church. I saw a red brick building. It was a church building. The roof was rotten, the wood in the walls was rotten. The remedy was to remove all the wood in the building. It needed to be replaced. It could not be repaired…

Well, this meant that the brick walls would have to be torn down as they were not in shape to support themselves without a connection to the wood. In very poor shape.

So I saw the building reduced to the foundation stones. I was ready to see a new building build on this old foundation.

However the Spirit of God spoke. “Take out the foundation. It is not substantial enough to support the building that I am ready to build on this ground.”

The building that God is ready to build (Bride) is to be so much glorious than our present understanding. However, *are* we ready for Him to take down the present building? And take it down all the way to the original dirt? Our human side wants to hold onto something that is recognizable from our past. It then becomes that leaven that brings back all the old junk of the previous life.

Then I heard, “I am looking for a ‘General Contractor’ who will build according to the blue print.” Then I understood that He would only entrust the construction of this building to someone who is fully submitted to do all and not less that all that comes from the throne of Heaven. We are not the architect. It is not our job to design the building.

Shortly after the vision I was in Acts 5. In verse 32, I was over- whelmed with the truth that we do *not* have the ministry of the HOLY SPIRIT because we do *not* obey his voice. (Jer 7: 22)…

God is ready for His bride to operate in all the power that Jesus had while He was on this earth (Scriptures say this) when we are ready to relate to God the same way Jesus related to the Father.

As I look at church history, I see that God gave men truth and they used their minds to ADD more truth. And then this new truth brought death to the truth of God. Where are the people who can be obedient only to the simple truths brought by the Holy Spirit?

WHAT HAPPENED to THE PENTECOSTAL MOVEMENT? — Much of the modern church has abandoned the Christ of the Bible in favour of a new and improved Christ who has no cross, but only love; who has no holiness, but only grace; who has no justice, but only blessings; and who is not Judge…. Work while it is yet day, for the night is coming when no man can work.

PENTECOSTAL PASTORS SPEAK OUT

WHAT HAPPENED to THE PENTECOSTAL MOVEMENT?

A number of people have decried the Pentecostal/ Charismatic movement as being the doorway through which the current corruption has entered the modern church….

There is an element of truth in this, but it is not entirely accurate.

I was born into a Pentecostal church 56 years ago, was raised there, was educated in one of their colleges, and pastored 3 of their churches. I think this gives me a degree of knowledge and familiarity with the movement and its history I also had the privilege of meeting with and conversing with some of the Pentecostal pioneers while they were still alive. In addition, I have owned a number of Frank Bartlemans books for years. This is not to put myself forward as an expert, but to let you know that what I say next is not said from a vacuum of ignorance, assumption, and speculation.

The Pentecostal movement was born out of the holiness movement. Many of those who were involved in its birth were people of holiness who had died to self, had picked up their crosses and were following Jesus Christ as He directed them by His Spirit and His Word. The multitudes of transformed lives, the miracles, and the persecution were very real. We can thank God for those pioneers who under the move and hand of God paved the way for a renewed freedom and move of the Holy Spirit in Christs Church. The problems which arose were not with the move of the Spirit or with many of those who sought the Lord and came into the Baptism and life of the Spirit. Mostly the problems arose as they do today from those who wanted to avoid the cross. These were people who wanted the blessings of life in the Spirit, but who did not want to die to sin, flesh, and themselves.

As early as 1907, Frank Bartleman wrote of his dismay over these types of people who infiltrated the Pentecostal movement. Many flocked to Pentecostal movements all over the continent seeking the blessings of the spirit, but not wanting holiness, confession of sin, brokenness before the Lord, and taking up of the cross. We have the same root problem with us today. The modern church is filled with selfish, sinful people who want Gods blessings, but who do not want to go the way of the cross.

The problem has been further compounded by those false preachers, prophets, and teachers who refuse to preach the cross and what it costs to be a follower of Christ. Instead todays Christian heaps to himself preachers, teachers, and prophets who tickle his flesh and make it feel comfortable those who have become experts at creating a brand of christianity which seems to marry the flesh with the Spirit. This CANNOT be, however, since the flesh and the Spirit are enemies against each other. Scripture makes it clear that one must follow one or the other God or mammon.

It is the shame of many Pentecostal/ Charismatic churches although, not all ( the mistake of generalizing) have abandoned the preaching of the cross, holiness, separation from the world, and the true full Gospel. Much of the modern church has abandoned the Christ of the Bible in favour of a new and improved Christ who has no cross, but only love; who has no holiness, but only grace; who has no justice, but only blessings; and who is not Judge, but merely a cosmic Santa Claus.

How we need those who will die to self, take up the cross, and be witnesses of the true Christ! How God longs for those who will live godly in Christ Jesus in spite of the persecution! How we need those who choose to reject the world, who hate sin, who fear none but God; those who will do what He wants, speak what He says, and be molded into the image of Christ by the Word and the Spirit that Christ may have human representation of Himself to a lost and dying world. This is the Church of Jesus Christ

May God help us. Brothers and sisters, work while it is yet day, for the night is coming when no man can work. Labour faithfully with Him. Fear not what man thinks or what man can do unto you, but fear Him who is your Redeemer and your King.

Shocking video has surfaced from 2005 of U.S. troops firing on captive Iraqi detainees at Camp Bucca following a riot. The soldiers seen in the video unload full force and even (what appears to be) a grenade round from behind barbed wire fences, while some laugh about direct hits.

Four detainees were killed and five others wounded. One soldier, seen in the video, comments that the prisoners are only throwing “dirt balls and a few rocks.” He was possibly trying to quell what appeared to be a near free-for-all shooting spree against captive targets. “Be decisive on what you f—— shoot,” he told the others.

According to Press TV, the “US military tried to cover up the bloodshed, saying the riot happened when the prisoners confronted a search for contraband in the prison.” Instead, the ACLU found that the riot was due to the “desecration of the Holy Qur’an by US troops.”

US troops fire on Iraqi detainees after burning their Holy Quran books in front of them. Amateur footage recently posted on the internet shows American troops firing live ammunition on Iraqi prisoners during a riot in a US detention facility in Iraq back in 2005.

The footage shows US forces using disproportionate force and live rounds against prisoners at the US prison facility Camp Bucca located in Iraq.

The Iraqi detainees were protesting the American troops’ desecration of Islam’s holy book, the Qur’an.

At the time, the US military tried to cover up the bloodshed, saying the riot happened when the prisoners confronted a search for contraband in the prison.

But the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) later revealed that the real cause of the riot was the desecration of the Holy Qur’an by US troops.

Four prisoners were shot dead and five others wounded during the violence.

In 2008, the US military revealed that it held a total of around 20,000 detainees, some 17,000 of whom at Camp Bucca near Basra in southern Iraq, and more than 3,000 others at Camp Cropper in the capital Baghdad.

A man is infinitely superior to a woman at being a man, and a woman is infinitely superior to a man at being a woman. Men and women are different — by design. Neither is superior to the other, but they are very, very different.

• Men and women process information differently. A man’s brain works more like a computer while a woman’s is more like a radar.

• A woman uses language to express emotion while a man uses language primarily to dispense facts.

• God told man to dress the garden and keep it, but He gave women a nurturing instinct.

These differences…shouldn’t divide us. They should unite us. God made us different that He might make us one.

It’s time to stop trying to be the be the same or resenting each other because of our differences. It’s time to start celebrating the difference!

A hammer and a screwdriver are different tools designed for different jobs. Is the hammer better than the screwdriver? No. Is a screwdriver better than a hammer? Of course not! Can you use a screwdriver as a hammer? Maybe, but it won’t work as well.

Who is better, men or women? The answer to that question is “Yes!” A man is infinitely superior to a woman at being a man, and a woman is infinitely superior to a man at being a woman. Men and women are different-by design. Neither is superior to the other, but they are very, very different.

I want to address the wonderful differences between men and women. These differences aren’t true in every single case, but they are generally true.

The Beauty and the Beast

Men are generally stronger than women. First Peter 3:7 tells men to give “honor unto the wife as unto the weaker vessel.”

God made Adam stronger because he was to be the provider and the protector. He had a physical frame that could protect Eve and muscles to dig and work in the garden.

The word Eve means “life giver.” God made her to be the nurturer. Because she was weaker than Adam, doesn’t mean she was inferior. Silk is weaker than canvas and porcelain weaker than steel, but they are certainly not inferior.

The Tortoise and the Hare

Generally, men have more energy, but women have more durability. Remember the race between the tortoise and the hare? Men, you are like the hare, and your wife is like the tortoise. Remember who won that race?

Men have a larger lung capacity, but women have a better immune system. A man can out work a woman, but he ought not to criticize her for that. She can last longer.

The Romantic and the Mechanic

Because of man’s job, he has a hard outer shell. He will never have the romantic heart that a woman wants him to have. He’s just not wired that way.

Look at what women read. Their magazines have articles like “Five Ways to Achieve Intimacy” while men read “How to Remodel Your Garage.” Go to a high school and watch how the students carry their books. Girls carry them like they’re carrying a baby. Boys hang theirs down to their sides. Give a little boy a doll; he’ll use it for a hammer. Some people try to tell us that these differences are learned, but they’re not; they are encoded.

The Radar and the Computer

Men and women process information differently. A man’s brain works more like a computer while a woman’s is more like a radar. She has a great big reception disk, and it sweeps-taking in everything. She can see things and feel things that men don’t see and feel.

That’s because a woman uses both sides of her brain. This makes it easier for her to express emotions, but it may also be harder to separate emotion from reason. Using primarily the left side of the brain, a man tends to think more logically, analytically, and factually. Even as a woman is thinking logically, she is mixing in emotion.

The Code Speaker and the Reporter

A woman uses language to express emotion while a man uses language primarily to dispense facts. Women share, but men report.
Don’t listen to what a woman says, listen to what she means. If you sense, for example, that she is upset, but she says nothing is wrong; that means everything is wrong. Women speak in code. Men, on the other hand, just report the facts.

The Lover and the Achiever

God told man to dress the garden and keep it, but He gave women a nurturing instinct. And God equipped each mentally and emotionally to do their jobs; man is primarily an achiever while woman is a lover.
In Ephesians 5:33, God tells the man to love his wife, but He tells the wife to reverence or respect her husband. That’s because God knows our deepest needs.

United, not Divided!

These differences, believe it or not, shouldn’t divide us. They should unite us. God made us different that He might make us one. These are more than mere psychological proclivities; they are there by divine design. Aren’t you glad that God made us different? It’s time to stop trying to be the be the same or resenting each other because of our differences. It’s time to start celebrating the difference!

There is plenty, and it will take time to clean up the mess; and many will see that you are My body. I will be glad. You will be one in Me.

The highway is great. Many travel on it: the ‘Way of Happiness,’ but it leads to destruction. They act like nothing is wrong. The sheep stealers rob the sheep, unawares. They teach them vain imaginations and lead them astray, where destruction awaits those who disobey. It is in the Word.

Read Psalm 26.* David was a man of integrity. He was in the Holy Ghost, awaiting for Me to lead him into truth, until he fell. His fall was great, because he failed to wait on Me. He let lust take over, rule his heart. He fell so hard the whole nation crumbled, aghast at what they saw, cringing, because of David’s sin.

It can happen like this. For there is hurt in the body. The hurt is great. Many hate each other and call it love. Hypocrites cannot rule. They must be in Me to lead. The sheep are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

Faint not, My people. Lean on Me. Come back to where you belong, in My arms. I will hold you where you will not faint, where the wolves will not devour, but there must be love. Love conquers all. Love conquers hate, and brings life.
