Most pastors teach an unbalanced version of God. They only teach the kindness aspect, never the SEVERITY of God, which Paul clearly taught:
Romans 11:20 ..Don’t be conceited, but FEAR; 21 for if God didn’t spare the natural branches [the truly ethnic Jews], neither will he spare you. 22 See then the GOODNESS *and* SEVERITY of God. Toward those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, IF YOU CONTINUE in his GOODNESS; OTHERWISE YOU WILL ALSO BE *CUT OFF* [like in Mt. 7:19 and John 15:6].
This seems to be a subject that won’t be fully understood until we see Jesus face to Face, when we know fully even as we are fully known (1 Cor. 13).
We know for sure that all born-again Christians have their names in the Book of Life, and only the overcomers do not have their names removed from it when they’re judged by Jesus.
This article makes key points:
It is good to have your name written in the Book of Life
The apostle Paul addressed his fellow believers as, “…my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life”(Philippians 4:3 ESV). This clearly tells us that Christians have their names written in the Book of Life.
“The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels” (Revelation 3:5 ESV). This passage tells us that perseverance is essential to one who has his or her name written in the Book of Life. Faithfulness to God is crucial to having one’s name secure in God’s kingdom. This verse also reinforces the fact that it is Jesus who determines whose name is, or is not, in the Book of Life. …
Holiness is normal Christianity. Willfully sinning without fully repenting is leaving Christ, being a prodigal son.
Abiding in Christ is required to not be cut off, thrown into the fire and burned. We must overcome by God’s enabling grace.
WITHOUT HOLINESS, no one will see the Lord, but will FALL SHORT OF THE GRACE OF GOD!
“Follow after peace with ALL men, and the SANCTIFICATION WITHOUT WHICH NO ONE WILL SEE THE LORD, looking carefully lest there be any man who FALLS SHORT OF THE GRACE OF GOD; lest any ROOT OF BITTERNESS springing up trouble you, and many be DEFILED by it.” – Hebrews 12:14-15
God’s holiness standard, Ephesians 4:11-16
11 He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds and teachers; 12 for the PERFECTING of the saints, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Christ; 13 *UNTIL WE ALL* ATTAIN to the UNITY of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a FULL GROWN man, to THE MEASURE OF THE STATURE OF THE FULLNESS OF CHRIST; 14 that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every WIND OF DOCTRINE [“once saved, always saved” (OSAS), “it’s hard to lose one’s salvation,” “only believe,” don’t have to actually abide in Christ to be “in Christ,” etc.], by the TRICKERY of men , in CRAFTINESS, after the WILES OF ERROR; [repeating the OSAS greatest hits verses over and over, taken out of context; ignoring the 80 that tell the truth] 15 but speaking TRUTH in love, we may GROW UP IN ALL THINGS INTO HIM, who is the head, Christ; 16 from whom all the body, being fitted and knit together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in measure of each individual part, makes the body increase to the building up of itself in LOVE.
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.” – Romans 8:14
Do All Liars Go to Hell? Do Any Liars Go to Heaven?
Summary: This article is not enjoyable to write. But if God uses it to change even one person’s eternal destiny from hell to heaven, I will be thrilled. The point according to Scripture? Unrepentant, habitual liars go to hell when they die. The first three verses we’ll look at below make that very clear. I urge you to set aside any “but, but” reactions until you see what the Scriptures say about the practice of lying. Some ask: Do liars go to heaven? The answer is found by examining the negative — that is, to answer biblically the question: Do liars go to hell? More specifically, do all liars go to hell? The Bible has answers. There are only two destinations, heaven or hell. Your choices in this life determine where you end up.
Summary:Does God love every person and everything? No! In fact, Scripture reveals a number of things and people that God hates! You may be among those who are surprised to discover from Scripture that God does hate some people.
For many years now we’ve often heard the statement, “Don’t judge!” used illogically and unbiblically.
Did that person make a judgment to make that statement?
Of course!
What we think Jesus meant in Matthew 7:1 when He said: “Do not judge lest you be judged..” was be certain of our heart attitude in the way we judge. He meant don’t be self-righteous, hasty, unmerciful, prejudiced or condemning without cause…like the Pharisees, the religious leaders of His day.
This is Howard Pittman, a BAPTIST PASTOR whom I often mention when talking about how FEW are GOING TO HEAVEN now. In 1979, he DIED in the ambulance on his way to the hospital. At the gates of heaven, the angels told him he HADN’T MADE JESUS LORD. He had served self, so couldn’t enter, and that only 2.5% were entering heaven then, 44 years ago. Imagine how much lower the percentage is today. THIS IS SERIOUS!
I definitely don’t agree with Michael Brown on ‘Christian’ Zionism*, and he’s been too loose on salvation. But this is mostly good, after he gets going. My first comment below corrects one thing he said.
Michael Brown starts this statement by quoting Romans 6:1-2:
“‘What shall we say then, SHALL WE GO ON SINNING so that grace may increase? BY NO MEANS! We died to sin. HOW CAN WE LIVE IN IT ANY LONGER?’
OH! THIS IS A SPIRITUAL REALITY. YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A SLAVE TO SIN. In Jesus, you don’t have to be a slave to sin. It’s a lie. It’s a lie that your mind is telling you. It’s a lie that church tradition has told you. It’s a lie that the world tells you. It’s a lie that the Devil himself tells you. In Jesus, you know longer have to be a slave to sin.”
Something is seriously reverse-Christian with dispensational theology that the Scofield Study Bible birthed. Scofield was a scoundrel (see video above), and the Oxford University Press added additional false doctrinal notes after Scofield died. Chuck Baldwin explains the horrible fruit.
NOTE: I do NOT believe at all that God is done with the covenant to the true Jews. Chuck does, but I do NOT believe in replacement theology. Also, there is a rebellion clearly mentioned in Romans 11 that most pastors never mention — until the fullness of the Gentiles happens. People should read Romans 11 very carefully. Pastors aren’t telling us the whole truth, and many are teaching false doctrines that are disastrous!
“‘Christian’ Zionists are worshiping an idol.” – Chuck Baldwin
“I will bless those who bless you [Abraham] and curse those who curse you [Abraham]; and all the families of the earth will be blessed through you [Abraham’s seed: Jesus Christ].”

The sign that Rep. Jim Jordan and Rep. Mike Johnson are proudly standing by says “Blessed are those who Bless Israel.”
Steven Ben-Nun wrote in a comment below the photo (click on photo to see):
“That is not what it says. It says nothing about Israel, but that all families will be blessed through Abraham, that was through his seed Jesus Christ! Now you got it from a real Jew! – Steven Ben-Nun, Israeli News Live, 10/17/23
The Bible (Gen. 12:3) does NOT say 'he who blesses Israel will be blessed.' "It says nothing about Israel, but that all families will be blessed through Abraham, that was through his seed Jesus Christ! Now you got it from a real Jew! – Steven Ben-Nun, Israeli News Live, 10/17/23 pic.twitter.com/JalkBNayvr
“The most misquoted verse in the Bible must be the promise God made to Abraham in Genesis 12, where he told Abraham he would bless those who bless HIM [Abraham] and curse those who curse HIM. The covenant later in Genesis 17 was passed on to his Seed on the child, which was Jesus Christ, and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know what happened to those who cursed Him and those who blessed Him.” – Steven Ben-Nun
The pretribulation rapture has only been a doctrine since 1830. The pretribulation rapture was not a doctrine for 1,800 years of Church history.
If you had asked a scholar in the 1400s or the 1600s, they would have gone blank on you. A woman in Scotland had a vision in 1830 of the pretribulation rapture.
A few teachers, John Darby and Scofield, got hold of it and made it famous. It was a heresy to most people. By around 1930, it became established, but mostly only in America.
It’s not a doctrine that’s widespread around the world, except for the places where American seminaries have taken it. ~Mike Bickle
Claims and counterclaims surround the recent crisis in Gaza. Yet, we can’t understand the right or wrong of events in the troubled Mideast without knowing God’s spiritual law about Palestine. This law was repeatedly set forth over 3000 years ago.
If you are a Christian, you must take the Bible very seriously — as the written word of God. Jesus said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My Word shall not pass away.” (Mark 13:31) This means the eternal truths laid down thousands of years ago in Holy Scripture remain true.
Yet, many evangelical Christians say God’s law no longer applies to the modern state of Israel. What law am I talking about? In the Old Testament, God repeatedly instructed His people, the Israelites, that the land of Canaan was to be holy. It could only be occupied by a holy, obedient people. When they rebelled, God allowed them to be driven out. They could only reenter in repentance. [1] God says that if Israel rebels, “The Lord will scatter you among the nations”(Deut. 4:27). But if they repent, “The Lord your God will restore you from captivity” (Deut. 30:3).
Yes! God promised the land of Israel to Abraham and his descendants forever (Gen. 12:7).
Yet God said Jews can only occupy it in obedience. He told Moses that if Jews rebelled, He would expel them (Lev. 26:27-34, Deut. 4:26, 6:18, 28:58-64). They could not return except in obedience.
The Marxist Zionists who reoccupied Palestine during the last century were not obedient to God. Israel today still rejects Jesus Christ. In violation of God’s law (Lev. 19:34), they cruelly oppress the “strangers in the land.”
Result? Strife, war, terrorism.
Someday, at Christ’s second coming, a repentant remnant will give Christ true obedience. Then, as their Redeemer, He will uphold their right to all the land, from the Mediterranean to the Euphrates.
Israel today is spiritually lawless. Hers is a counterfeit return. Israel is preparing the world, not for the coming of Christ but anti-Christ.

Jesus: “That servant who knew his lord’s will, and didn’t prepare nor do what he wanted, will be beaten with many stripes, but he who didn’t know, and did things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few stripes.” – Luke 12:47-48
Many people argue that because salvation is a “free gift,” that humans do nothing to earn it, and therefore can do nothing to lose it.
God’s Word:
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him. John 3:36 NAB
Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. 1 Cor. 15:1-2 ESV
“How can they be worse off if they received something that can never be taken away from them?”
20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. 21 For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. 22 What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.” 2 Peter 2:17-22 ESV
Most born-again Christians would become lost again:
“God had foreseen… that faith even after baptism would be endangered. He saw that most persons after attaining unto salvation would be lost again by soiling the wedding dress, by failing to provide oil for their torches.” ~ Tertullian (c. 213)
Excellent video! I found this segment especially helpful:
19:15 Charles Stanley says: “In 1 Corinthians chapter 3, Paul makes it very clear about losing our reward when we live a life of sin.”
But Paul wasn’t talking about living a life of sin in 1 Cor. 3. “If any man’s work is burned” refers to his work, the Corinthians falling away:
Aaron Gallagher: “[Paul is] saying that if those converts that [he] taught, were baptized, if they fall away, Paul will still be saved but they won’t.”
1 Corinthians 3
1 Brothers… 3 for you are still fleshly. … 6 I planted. Apollos watered. … 9 For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s farming, God’s building.
10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another builds on it. But let each man be careful how he builds on it. … 12 But if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or stubble, 13 each man’s work will be revealed. For the Day will declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself will test what sort of work each man’s work is. 14 If any man’s work remains which he built on it, he will receive a reward. 15 If any man’s work is burned, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, but as through fire.
Romans 11:20 ..Don’t be conceited, but FEAR; 21 for if God didn’t spare the natural branches [the Jews], neither will he spare you. 22 See then the GOODNESS *and* SEVERITY of God. Toward those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, IF YOU CONTINUE in his GOODNESS; OTHERWISE YOU WILL ALSO BE CUT OFF [like in Mt. 7:19 and John 15:6].
“Continuing in His kindness is required to avoid being cut off from this tree.”
“There are upwards of 80 passages in the New Testament that suggest in one way or another that a believer can fall away from the faith.”
9:00 John Calvin‘s explanation is that Paul is basically lying to his readers to scare them. R. C. Sproul avoided the passage completely.
Dilemma: Calvinist pastors who teach the perseverance of the saints ‘omega’ version of OSAS personally know those who were certainly born-again and did not persevere.

Can someone be a Christian and practice homosexuality at the same time? Dr. Christopher Yuan explains why the answer is no.
Ephesians 4:29-30: Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God….
Colossians 3:8: But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. NIV
Ephesians 5:3-4: But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. NIV
