Jesus prayed we'd be 'ONE' with each other in Him that the world will know! (John 17)

“Familiar spirits” are demonic thoughts people hear in their minds. Many follow these thoughts…

Related: Can a Christian Have a Demon? Absolutely! Most Have Many!

If we ask God a question and get conflicting answers…

If we have thoughts that WE DIDN’T ORIGINATE that lead us astray, these are FAMILIAR SPIRITS, demons speaking to us in the first person, mimicking our own thoughts, deceiving. Most people may have this problem.

More than 40 years ago, I realized this was happening to me, when I was trying to learn how to hear God’s voice. During worship, my mind would be clear, could hear God’s voice easily, but otherwise….

I blasted those other voices with my prayer language (“submit to God, resist the Devil and he will flee), and have never had the problem since.

We need to make sure we’re free of demonic spirits that speak in the first person as if they’re our own thoughts.

Many people think these voices, “familiar spirits” are our friends, but they’re gruesome and diabolical, and will send us to hell if we obey them.

We should only hear One Voice. This is crucially important in these last days.

Until my last breath, I will give thanks to the Lord!

George Janko “You Can’t Be Anxious And Grateful At The Same Time” ❤️

“There’s a study that I found pretty exciting. They said the part of your brain that you get anxiety from is the same part of your brain that has gratitude.

You can’t be grateful and anxious at the same time. So then in the Bible, where it goes: instead of being anxious, be grateful, it’s so crazy to think that they were calling out legitimate things that scientists have found out.”

Michael Card & John Michael Talbot: ‘Healer of My Soul’ – Brother to Brother (1996)

My President Donald Trump Dream 8/14/23

TIMING: President Trump is being hunted down by the left, and risks being jailed so he can’t even run in 2024.

SETTING: As is often the case in dreams, my car was different than in real life, and the location was unfamiliar.

THE DREAM: I was standing next to the right side of my car, parked on the street, and President Trump pulled up in a regular car, by himself (no security). He was so interested in what was in my car that he pulled up so close that his bumper almost touched mine. I warned him, so he wouldn’t hit it, and then smiled after he stopped, holding up my thumb and forefinger about 1/8 inch apart.

Spurgeon: Will you not this day make it your prayer? Lord, help me to glorify Thee…

“Will you not this day make it your prayer? Lord, help me to glorify Thee;
I am poor, help me to glorify Thee by contentment;
I am sick, help me to give Thee honour by patience;
I have talents, help me to extol Thee by spending them for Thee;
I have time, Lord, help me to redeem it, that I may serve Thee;
I have a heart to feel, Lord, let that heart feel no love but Thine, and glow with no flame but affection for Thee;
I have a head to think, Lord, help me to think of Thee and for Thee;
Thou hast put me in this world for something, Lord, show me what that is, and help me to work out my life-purpose.”

― Charles Spurgeon,
Excerpt from Morning and Evening

Steve Gregg: Living for the Glory of God — “That God will be glorified is your hope”

“Living for His glory results in rejoicing.
• It’s characterized by praising and declaring Him to the world.
• It’s confidence in God….
Submitting to God; that is being resigned to His will.
Obeying God so your good works are seen and bring glory to God.
• You serve people in a way that brings glory to God.
• And you rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. That God will be glorified is your hope.”

Steve read this prayer at the end: Spurgeon: Will you not this day make it your prayer? Lord, help me to glorify Thee…

There’s a place in my heart
Reserved for You
Where I hear Your still small voice
Whisper words of truth
Every hour, every day
I know You’re there
Gently calling me to come
To that place of prayer

Only for You I want to live
Willing to serve, ready to give
All that I am, all that I do
Lord, may it be only for You
There are times when I fail
To do Your will
Falling short of Your desire
Plans left unfulfilled
But I know even then
Your love remains
There to bring me back again
To Your arms of grace

‘Cause only for You I want to live
Willing to serve, ready to give
All that I am, all that I do
Lord, may it be only for You

Only for You I want to live
Willing to serve, ready to give
All that I am, all that I do
Lord, may it be only for You
Lord, may it be only for You
Lord, may it be only for You

Refuting Baptist Professor Thomas Schreiner’s ‘What is the gift of tongues?’ — “It is a common error among cessationists to interpret all accounts of the gift of tongues through the events of Pentecost in Acts 2” – Gordon Fee

I wrote this related article:

Paul: Praying in Tongues is “Speaking to God, Not People” — “no one understands,” “he speaks mysteries,” “edifies himself” — in languages of “men or angels”

– –

Thomas R. Schreiner is JAMES BUCHANAN HARRISON PROFESSOR OF NEW TESTAMENT INTERPRETATION AND PROFESSOR OF BIBLICAL THEOLOGY (1997) at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

I looked through the comments under Thomas Schreiner’s video, and post the best-of below. This one introduces Gordon Fee’s excellent article:

Dr. Schreiner is a major NT scholar and I think he has some valuable insights on a lot of the NT. But on the matter of “speaking in tongues” his own lack of experience or the experiences in his churches make him myopic to the text. We need to be careful not to read our own experience or lack of experience, as is Schreiner, back into scripture. The scriptures are addressing people who had certain common experiences, and IF we today have a similar experience to them, the texts make much more sense. For example, Paul’s epistles are addressed to first generation Christians who mostly experienced a dramatic encounter with the Holy Spirit in their conversion. They knew the joy of sins forgiven, deliverances from demons, and Gods love poured out in their hearts; and as Paul says to the Corinthians, “they lacked no spiritual gift.’ I mean, Paul’s explanation in 1 Corinthians 12-14 was not instruction to those who knew nothing in experience of these things. He was correcting certain abuses.

An opposing view from another eminent NT scholar [Gordon Fee], for those who really seek to know the word.

The Essential Nature of Speaking in Tongues

First, who is Gordon Fee?

Gordon Fee is Professor Emeritus of New Testament at Regent College, where he taught for sixteen years. His teaching experience also includes serving schools in Washington, California, Kentucky, as well as Wheaton College in Illinois (five years) and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts (twelve years).

Gordon Fee is a noted New Testament scholar, having published several books and articles in his field of specialization, New Testament textual criticism. He also published a textbook on New Testament interpretation, co-authored two books for lay people on biblical interpretation, as well as scholarly-popular commentaries on 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus and on Galatians, and major commentaries on 1 Corinthians and Philippians. He is also the author of a major work on the Holy Spirit and the Person of Christ in the letters of Paul.

Gordon Fee served as the general editor of the New International Commentary series until 2012….

In his article, The Essential Nature of Speaking in Tongues, Gordon Fee writes:

..it is a common error among Cessationists to interpret all accounts of the gift of tongues through the events of Pentecost in Acts 2, in which tongues was clearly understood by the Jewish observers as human languages/dialects. This is a grievous error, because instead of taking all of the accounts of tongues in to account and then forming a theology of the nature of the gift, Cessationists force the well-rounded peg of the full Scriptural witness through the square hole of one passage.  The Pentecostal interpretation, on the other hand, takes all of the passages into account first, and then puts together a holistic theology of tongues. …

John Michael Talbot – ‘Healer Of My Soul’

Paul: Praying in Tongues is “Speaking to God NOT People” — “no one understands,” “he speaks mysteries,” “edifies himself” — in languages of “men or angels”

Tragically, many pastors today are falsely rejecting God’s precious gift of praying in tongues because they say it’s not exactly like what happened in Acts 2, when many foreigners were in Jerusalem for the feast of Passover, and could hear the newly Spirit-filled Christians speaking in their own languages. “So this is always the way it’s supposed to happen or it’s not Biblical tongues,” pastors say.

Paul explains God’s gift of praying in tongues to God privately, to be free:

1 Cor. 13:1 If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love….

1 Cor. 14:1 Follow after love and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. For he who speaks in another language speaks not to men, but to God; for no one understands; but in the Spirit he speaks mysteriesBut he who prophesies speaks to men for their edification, exhortation, and consolation. He who speaks in another language edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the assembly. Now I desire to have you all speak with other languages [everyone could pray in tongues], but rather that you would prophesy [during public church services]. For he is greater who prophesies than he who speaks with other languages, unless he interprets, that the assembly may be built up.

John Michael Talbot: People refuse to pray in tongues because they’re ‘educated’ — “If you say ‘I’ll do anything except…'”

Paul says in 1 Cor. 13 that speaking in tongues is speaking either an earthly or heavenly language:

“If I speak with the languages of men and of angels….”

Talbot mentions xenoalia, xenoglossy and glossolalia, explained here:

Neuroimaging of brain activity during glossolalia does not show activity in the language areas of the brain.[67][68]

A study done by the American Journal of Human Biology found that speaking in tongues was associated with both a reduction in circulatory cortisol, and enhancements in alpha-amylase enzyme activity – two common biomarkers of stress reduction that can be measured in saliva.[73]

Several sociological studies report various social benefits to engaging in Pentecostal glossolalia,[74][75] such as an increase in self-confidence.[75]

MARK FARNER: I’m Your Captain (Closer To Home – 1970) 2011 LiVE

From: Songfacts — Mark Farner (ex-Grand Funk)

Songfacts: How did you come up with that song? It seems so unusual – so long and it changes gears in the middle.

Farner: Initially the song came to me after I said my prayers one night and I put a P.S. on the end of my prayers. I asked God to give me a song that would touch the hearts of people that the Creator wanted to get to. I got up at 3 o’clock in the morning – I’m always getting up at different times of the night and writing things down. A lot of them are not songs but this happened to be one.

I got up and I wrote it, and as I’m writing it, I’m between the state of subconscious and conscious. I’ve got one foot in dreamland and my pen is writing these words down. It didn’t make a whole lot of sense. It was kind of weird, I thought, as I was writing it. I didn’t sit there on the edge of the bed and read it over and over, I just wrote it down, and when I got to the end of it, I just folded it over and put it on the nightstand. There it was.

Well, in the morning, I got up, I was drinking my coffee, I was looking at the horses out in the pasture, and I got my feet kicked up. I thought, I’ll grab my flattop here. I had an acoustic George Washburn, a resonant guitar from my kitchen – everybody would grab it when they came here. I started playing. Wow, that’s nice, what the heck is that? Then I made that C chord. I made a mistake. I was going for the G and it was a little short and I hit the C. And I looked down because that chord spoke to me in such a way. I’ve never heard that come out, that inversion of the C. I thought, Wow, that’s a cool chord. Then I thought maybe with those words in the other room, maybe that’s a song, so I grabbed the legal pad and laid it down on the table next to my coffee and I just started strumming. “Everybody…” And it just started coming out. …

DANGER of Communicating with the DEAD — Praying to Mary and ‘Saints’

Mary and the “saints” who actually did make it to heaven can’t communicate with people on Earth, so prayers to them are futile, border on idolatry, and can open the door to demons. This is one of the most disturbing elements of Catholic doctrine, and has no Scriptural support.

– –

Dear Catholic church goer, beware of the teachings you hear, test everything by prayer and by the Holy Spirit. Spend time in the Holy Scriptures, don’t depend on others for the truth. Do your homework. Your soul is too precious to God, it is too precious for you to risk it by swallowing all the deceptions these “churches” throw at you. You are accountable.

When you communicate with the dead, no matter where they are or what form they are in, you are opening yourself up to the spiritual dimension. It is VERY DANGEROUS because you don’t know what you are dealing with.

There are many instances of people contracting demonic spirits because of these things. Prayer to your favourite dead saint, communicating with Mary IS DANGEROUS. Saying that you are not praying to them but asking them to intercede for you does not change anything. Prayer is communication, playing on words will not help you.

The only prayer you could and should do is one to God Himself. The only mediator you could talk to is Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and man. That is because only God is on the throne and only God has under Him all spiritual powers including the dark principalities.

Also the Lord is insulted when you display your hypocrisy by communicating with anyone other than Him. He is not busy somewhere in a heavenly office. He is not unavailable. He is always there waiting for you to go to HIM. Jesus promised that He will never leave us.

Can you imagine working for a boss who sends out for you to come to His office. Can you imagine you sending someone to go talk to Him for you? Do you think the boss will be happy? He sent out FOR YOU. He wants YOU to go to Him personally.

Don’t be a hypocrite. Jesus said in John 14:23 that He and the Father will make their abode WITHIN YOU. You have a STRAIGHT connection, you can approach the throne with confidence. Stop listening to that catholic garbage. Don’t insult Jesus. GO TO HIM.

Out of all the prophets, saints or anyone you think is very spiritual, there is ONLY ONE who left His throne to come and DIE FOR YOU dear friend. There is only one who shed His blood for the forgiveness of your sins, there is only one who went to the cross.

Don’t insult Him by sending someone else for you. Go to Him YOURSELF.

And may God bless you!

Dana Coverstone: Confessing Our Sins One To Another – “The power of sin is in secrecy” – Being Accountable Being Accountable

5:32:55 “When was the last time we confessed our sins to one another?”

5:33:40 For 30 years, Dana has been accountable to six men, to whom he writes a letter each Sunday, telling them his temptations, frustrations, challenges, relationship with his wife, church situations, etc. — as transparent as he can be. So they pray for him in those areas. He’s accountable to them.

5:36:10 For nine years, every Tuesday night, he and 6-10 guys (some are the same as those above) pray for one another. “That Tuesday night prayer time is a no-miss for me.”

5:38:05 Dana’s serious health problems he’s dealt with and has mostly has overcome!

5:46:55 “The power of sin is in secrecy.”

Coverstone: Because we prayed, some dire things shown in dreams may not happen

I’ve been praying through much of what comes to mind, myself. Demons drive people to do evil things. Prayer can deal with many of these demons, and God can move many to do what is right instead.

– –

I totally believe this principle. God gives us visions, dreams and words of knowledge to warn us about what’s coming, in part so we’ll be able to thwart some of these things by what we pray for and even do.

Dana Coverstone has had serious dreams about what is coming soon in America, starting especially in November. Hopefully, some of these things won’t come to pass now, as he saw them in his dreams because so many seriously prayed. And people are getting serious about obeying God too!

13:35 “I think there are things that are not going to happen now because we prayed. … And I think there are things we are now ready for in the next few months that we were not ready for because we prayed.” – Dana Coverstone

Mario Lanza ‘The Lord’s Prayer’ 1951 – Powerfully Moving!

Slow and powerful!

People become suicidal when they listen to evil spirits instead of the Holy Spirit to be FREE!

(5 min vid) Michael Fackerell: Praise is powerful in Spiritual Warfare – Psalm 149

It can be forgiven — but sometimes it requires reconciliation to be in Christ and free!

If you’ve prayed a repentance prayer and still don’t feel guilt free, sometimes saying a prayer is not enough. Sometimes we must reconcile to be free, to have no condemnation:

“There is therefore now *no condemnation* to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit” – Romans 8:1

Jesus said:

If therefore you are offering your gift [lifting up ‘holy’ hands to the Lord] at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift [worshiping in Spirit and in truth].” – Mt. 5:23-24

This is why Paul was able to say:

“..I also practice always having a conscience void of offense toward God and men” – Acts 24:16.

Where we spend eternity depends on this, but reconciliation will also bring in revival (when we’re ‘ONE’ in Christ – John 17):

My 1990 Key-to-Revival Prophecy: “There is might and there is power and there is glory, but it is being withheld until these relationships are made right, until we love our brother enough to…”

…and healing:

Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.” – James 5:16a

God is waiting to pour out His grace on us when we actually do Jesus’ greatest two commandments.
If our consciences condemn us, this probably isn’t the Devil, as many pastors teach. This is the Holy Spirit warning us to get right with each other so we can be clean and FREE from guilt — ‘ONE’ with each other!
To be going-to-heaven Christians and for Jesus to fill us with His joy and peace, we must be right with each other.
Let us be ‘ONE’ “that the world will know!”
