John MacArthur Gets Dan Corner’s Skull and Crossbones Award | John MacArthur To The ‘Adulterously’ Married

John MacArthur doesn’t only teach the once-saved-always-saved deception (which Dan reveals here), but also cessation, and is currently loudly criticizing those who desire to be led by the Holy Spirit:

John MacArthur’s war against the Holy Spirit’s gifts, including hearing God’s voice! — Whereas once-saved-always-saved is the culprit (which he also teaches), and division: My 1990 Key-to-Revival Prophecy: “There is might and there is power and there is glory, but it is being withheld until these relationships are made right, until we love our brother enough to…”

Dan also discusses what MacArthur wrongly says to the adulterously married, which I have discussed here:

My Theory on Divorce and ‘Marriage’: It’s Time to Get Out of Unbiblical ‘Marriages.’ — “God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.” We must all be clean!

Calvinist, John MacArthur gets the Skull and Crossbones Award for changing the grace of God into a “license for immorality” (Jude 4) with the following statements:

Yes, someone says, but can’t Christians put themselves outside God’s grace? What about those who commit abominable sins? Don’t they nullify the work of redemption in themselves? Don’t they forfeit the love of God? Certainly notit’s preposterous to think that we can forfeit it [salvation] by anything we do. (John MacArthur, Jr., The Love of God, Word Publishing, 1996, p. 159, emphasis mine)

Believers will often fall into sin, but their sin is not more powerful than God’s grace. (John MacArthur, Jr., Saved Without A Doubt, Chariot Victor Publishing, 1982, p. 45, emphasis mine)

NOTE: As Charles Stanley teaches, You cannot outsin the grace of God, John MacArthur teaches EXACTLY the same way! In fact, John MacArthur teaches WORSE by also saying believers often fall into sin. Don’t misinderstand John MacArthur’s doctrine. He teaches a license to sin as a Calvinist. The above is clear proof, but there is even more. In his so-called “Study Bible” under his comments on 1 Cor. 6:9-11, John MacArthur comments:

Some who used to have those patterns of sinful life were falling into those old sins again, and needed reminding that if they went all the way back to live as they used to they were not going to inherit eternal salvation, because it would indicate that they never were saved (The MacArthur Study Bible, 1997, p. 1736)

NOTE: The listing of sins in 1 Cor. 6:9,10 identifies the unrighteous, not believers, but John MacArthur shockingly declares that a true Christian can commit ALL of those sins! However, the true Christian can’t go all the way back as before, for that would prove he was never really saved after all, according to John MacArthur. If he stops short, ever so slightly, from going all the way back, his salvation is real even though he is in those vile sins! That is not holiness! Here is the listing of sins that John MacArthur commented on:

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. (1 Cor. 6:9-11, NASB)

The Sovereign God who perfectly understands grace disagrees with John MacArthur. Rev. 21:8 is a clear passage which God spoke from His throne about who will NOT enter His kingdom. The Apostle Paul, the real grace teacher, gives us other Holy Spirit inspired lists in 1 Cor. 6:9,10; Eph. 5:5-7; Gal. 5:19-21; etc. Who will YOU believe? Also, please note: John MacArthur, known for “Lordship” theology, teaches the same as Charles Stanley and Charles Ryrie on the believer’s security!

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars — their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death (Rev. 21:8).

For of this you can be SURE: No immoral, impure or greedy person — such a man is an idolater — has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient (Eph. 5:5,6).

The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God (Gal. 5:19-21).

John MacArthur To The Adulterously Married

Under the subheading of Those That Are Illegitimately Divorced and Remarried John MacArthur teaches the obscene:

Now, there is only one other category. Some of you are saying, “I have a problem. I fouled up my marriage when I was a Christian and got a divorce that wasn’t legitimate. Furthermore, I am an adulterer (or an adulteress), because I remarried when I had no grounds. What is my status?” Well, you’re a sinner – welcome to the club. If you’ve already violated God’s laws as a Christian and you were illegitimately divorced and remarried (in other words, you’re in a union that the Bible defines as an adulterous union), you have only one recourse – to confess the sin, tell God the sorrow of your heart, and stay in that same union … (John MacArthur, Jr., On Divorce, Moody Press Edition, 1985, Chicago, p. 98, emphasis mine)

That is clear proof that John MacArthur is saying they would be lifestyle practicing adulterers, which he denies is possible at other times. Furthermore, he doesn’t say such lifestyle practicing adulterous people were false converts, but consoles them by welcoming them into the club of sinners! Moreover, he tells such adulterers to just tell God they are sorry and confess their adultery! According to John MacArthur, no turning away from their adultery (repentance) is needed for their forgiveness. John MacArthur’s teaching, therefore, is a poison-filled wicked abomination. BTW, the mere fact that John MacArthur denies King David lost his salvation when in adultery and murder should be enough to prove John MacArthur has a skewed understanding of Scripture.

WARNING! Dear reader, for your soul’s sake avoid John MacArthur’s Calvinistic version of saving faith. It is NOT the message of the Bible! John MacArthur needs to take to heart the compelling evidence found in The Believer’s Conditional Security, repent of his dangerous false teachings, and openly renounce his Calvinistic doctrines! Eternal Security is not true.

From: A.W. Tozer Facebook

Salvation Apart from Obedience?

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. —Ephesians 2:10

Therefore, I must be frank in my feeling that a notable heresy has come into being throughout our evangelical Christian circles—the widely accepted concept that we humans can choose to accept Christ only because we need Him as Savior and we have the right to postpone our obedience to Him as Lord as long as we want to! …

I think the following is a fair statement of what I was taught in my early Christian experience and it certainly needs a lot of modifying and a great many qualifiers to save us from being in error.

“We are saved by accepting Christ as our Savior; we are sanctified by accepting Christ as our Lord; we may do the first without doing the second!”

The truth is that salvation apart from obedience is unknown in the sacred Scriptures. Peter makes it plain that we are “chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit for obedience” (1 Peter 1:2).

an apple tree
.
It’s given that; it’s from God.
But it better make apples if it wants to stay

.”

Jesus
in John 15:

5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If a man doesn’t remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned. … 10 If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and remain in his love. 11 I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full. 12 This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.

And as we go, Jesus,
let us realize that the word ‘Christian’ means little Christs,
and we’re supposed to be little Jesus walking around
,
by Your grace.

And in Jesus’ name we ask that you let that be in our lives,
in the next few days, the next few years,
so that when you come back we won’t be ashamed at Your appearing.”

1 John:

2:28 Now, little children, remain in him, that when he appears, we may have boldness, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

4:16 We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. 17 In this[,] love has been made perfect among us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as he is, even so are we in this world.

Martin Luther: Sin Boldly — "No sin can separate us from Him, even if we were to kill or commit adultery thousands of times each day"

Both texts are from Scroll Publishing: Let Your Sins Be Strong: A Letter From Luther to Melanchthon Letter no. 99, 1 August 1521, From the Wartburg (Segment) Translated by Erika Bullmann Flores from: _Dr. Martin Luther’s Saemmtliche Schriften_ Dr, Johannes Georg Walch, Ed. (St. Louis: Concordia Publishing House, N.D.), Vol. 15,cols. 2585-2590.
Luther clearly believed in once-saved-always-saved false doctrine (also called eternal security) to the fullest extent! This is so sad. I was raised a Lutheran. No wonder why the church had no life.
What Luther actually said was edited out of the texts the pastors read in seminary, which is shown here. But nevertheless, Luther said it.
This is the opposite of what the Bible teaches.
This is the same paragraph as the one which follows, but this is from the Weimar Edition (first published in 1883), which apparently ellipsed out Luther’s most extreme remarks.

13.”If you are a preacher of Grace, then preach a true, not a fictitious grace; if grace is true, you must bear a true and not a fictitious sin. God does not save people who are only fictitious sinners. Be a sinner and sin boldly, but believe and rejoice in Christ even more boldly. For he is victorious over sin, death, and the world. As long as we are here we have to sin. This life in not the dwelling place of righteousness but, as Peter says, we look for a new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. . . . Pray boldly-you too are a mighty sinner.” (Weimar ed. vol. 2, p. 371; Letters I, “Luther’s Works,” American Ed., Vol 48. p. 281- 282)

Here is the non-sanitized version. Here, Luther teaches once-saved-always-saved to the max! And this is the main problem with America today. Luther started as so deathly afraid of God that he embraced a doctrine that he knew at least some of the NT writers didn’t even teach, so he would never have to fear God again, even when boldly sinning—until he saw Him face to face—when it was too late (unless he totally repented before he died—which I don’t know of an record of).

13. If you are a preacher of mercy, do not preach an imaginary but the true mercy. If the mercy is true, you must therefore bear the true, not an imaginary sin. God does not save those who are only imaginary sinners. Be a sinner, and let your sins be strong, but let your trust in Christ be stronger, and rejoice in Christ who is the victor over sin, death, and the world. We will commit sins while we are here, for this life is not a place where justice resides. We, however, says Peter (2. Peter 3:13) are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth where justice will reign. It suffices that through God’s glory we have recognized the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world. No sin can separate us from Him, even if we were to kill or commit adultery thousands of times each day. Do you think such an exalted Lamb paid merely a small price with a meager sacrifice for our sins? Pray hard for you are quite a sinner.

This is the exact opposite of what Paul taught in Romans 6:1-2 and elsewhere.

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?

John Martorano: The Executioner
Steve Kroft Interviews Triggerman Of Boston’s Notorious Winter Hill Gang

(CBS) There are few men alive today with the underworld credentials of John Martorano, and even fewer who are out of prison and walking the streets. For more than a decade, Martorano was the chief executioner for Boston’s Winter Hill Gang, a loose confederation of Irish and Italian-American gangsters run by James “Whitey” Bulger. …
“You seem cold,” Kroft says. “You killed 20 people and that’s all you have to say about it?”

You still a Catholic?” Kroft asks.
“Sure,” Martorano says.
“I mean, you can burn in hell for killing one person,” Kroft points out.
I don’t believe that,” Martorano says. “At one point, maybe a couple years ago, I sent for a priest and gave him a confession. It was maybe 30 years since my last confession. But I went through the whole scenario with him, and went through my whole life with him, and confessed. And at the end of it, he says, ‘Well, what do you think I should give you for penance?’ I says, ‘Father, you can justifiably crucify me.’ He laughed and says, ‘Nope. Ten Hail Marys, ten Our Fathers, and don’t do it again.’ So I listened to him.”

“We Must Be Holy” by J. C. Ryle (1816-1900)

We Must Be Holy

by

J. C. Ryle
(1816-1900)

[First published as a “Helmingham Series” Tract in Helmingham, Suffolk]

We must he holy on earth before we die, if we desire to go to heaven after death. If we hope to dwell with God for ever in the life to come, we must endeavour to be like Him in the life that now is. We must not only admire holiness, and wish for holiness: we must be holy.
Holiness cannot justify and save us: holiness cannot cover our iniquities, make satisfaction for transgressions, pay our debts to God. Our best works are no better than filthy rags, when tried by the light of God’s law. The righteousness which Jesus Christ brought in must be our only confidence,—the blood of atonement our only hope. All this is perfectly true, and yet we must be holy.
We must be holy, because God in the Bible plainly commands it. “As He which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy” (1 Peter i. 15, 16).
We must be holy, because this is one great end for which Christ came into the world. “He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him which died for them, and rose again” (2 Cor. v. 15).
We must be holy, because this is the only sound evidence that we have a saving faith in Christ. “Faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” “As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also” (James ii. 17, 26).
We must be holy, because this is the only proof that we love the Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. What can be more plain than our Lord’s own words? “If ye love Me, keep my commandments.” “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me.” (John xiv. 15, 21).
We must be holy, because this is the only sound evidence that we are God’s children. “As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” “Whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God” (Rom. viii. 14; I John iii. 10).
Lastly, we must be holy, because without holiness on earth we should never be prepared and meet for heaven. It is written of the heavenly glory, “There shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie” (Rev. xxi. 27). St. Paul says expressly, “Without holiness no man shall see the Lord” (Heb. xii. 14).
Ah, reader, the last text I have just quoted is very solemn. It ought to make you think. It was written by the hand of inspired man: it is not my private fancy. Its words are the words of the Bible: not of my own invention. God has said it, and God will stand to it: “Without holiness no man shall see the Lord.”
