“Jesus was as black and white as you get.
He would look at people and say:
‘Why do you call me Lord if you don’t do what I say?'”
– Francis Chan
What does Jesus mean when He tells us to follow Him? Are we supposed to just agree with what He says, or does He really mean we’re supposed to do the things He did and live the life He lived? Once we understand how to follow Jesus, we see the hard life that might be in store for us, and then the real question becomes not how, but why we would want to follow Him in the first place.
Francis Chan Freedom Quotes: Lukewarm People — “Lukewarm people call ‘radical’ what Jesus expected of ALL His followers.” — “Lukewarm people feel secure because they attend church, made a profession of faith at age twelve, were baptized, come from a Christian family, vote Republican….” & More

Francis Chan left his 1600 member church to reassess. “There’s a LACK OF PEACE in so many people … WE PRETEND.” “There is this NARROW ROAD … FEW will find it.” “Let’s go back to what THE TRUTH has always been…and has NEVER BEEN POPULAR.”
