Acts 9:31
So the assemblies throughout all
Judea and Galilee and Samaria
had peace,
and were built up.
They were multiplied,
walking in the fear of the Lord
and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.

What is the key ingredient that we’re missing so ONE was happening in “the assemblies throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria?”
They were “walking in the fear of the Lord” — the missing ingredient in today’s ‘church.’
Therefore, because they were walking in the fear of the Lord they had peace, were built up, were multiplied, walking in the comfort of the Holy Spirit (John 14-16, 2 Cor. 1).
“The fear of the Lord” is the beginning of wisdom.
We don’t even have the beginning of wisdom, so ONE can’t happen, Jesus’ prayer for all believers in John 17.
So please, let us embrace the Word of God, what it really says: Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way | Who are the Children of God?
And let’s be ONE, having peace, being built up and multiplied, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.

I think the key thing was they were built up (Strengthened) by the holy spirit and Led by the Holy Spirit daily, hourly, minute by minute, every second. They relied on the Holy Spirit to comfort them and not posessions, Jobs, and people. They had matured to the stage that they only wanted and needed God and him alone.

Leanne,
First of all, I changed the wording of “the key ingredient” to now be “the key ingredient that we’re missing” and “…missing today.”
No doubt you are right, but why did they all mature to the biblical level when today, there isn’t even one group of believers that are walking in what this verse says and the verses in my header at the top of the page?
How many times have you heard “when the Bible says ‘fear’ it just means ‘reverence?’
How many times have you heard songs on K-LOVE that sing over and over He’ll “Never let go?”
Where else have you heard these verses taught to show what the Bible says about who really goes to heaven: Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way | Who are the Children of God?
There has been a mass migration away from any teaching that we are to fear God, and there has been a massive mind-control campaign to convince ‘Christians’ that they’re going to heaven no matter what, and that God accepts them no matter what.
And part of this is due to the removal of Romans 8:1b from many of the modern ‘Bibles,’ so most pastors now teach that if we feel any condemnation (which apparently most ‘Christians’ do) it’s from the Devil, because there is no condemnation (only conviction) to those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 1a). And in Christ Jesus, they say means being ‘born-again’ and believing that Jesus died for our sins.
But what does Romans 8 really say in the Textus Receptus bases versions [KJV, NKJV, WEB, etc.]?
We’ve been robbed! The blue portion of verse one was taken out by Westcott and Hort. Although, there is similar wording in verse 4, and there are many other “we must live according to the Spirit” verses in this passage, many readers don’t seem to see these clear-by-themselves verses and so many others that I show in my Who-Goes… essay.
If we had been taught right we probably wouldn’t be having this discussion right now. We’d probably be living exactly the way the early church did in Acts 9.
So I bring this verse up to show the key missing ingredient that we’re missing, so we can experience real Christianity the way they did and the way we are supposed to.
Then no matter how bad the times get we all be in Christ together. Then whom shall we fear! Because when we fear God to the biblical degree we’ll stay in the guardrails, safe in Him.
And then we’ll be ONE. And then the world will know, according to Jesus prayer in John 17.
Thanks for sharing!
Jeff
