“When you stand before men, ask little, and expect less; but when you stand before God, ask much, and expect more, and believe that He is able to do for you exceeding abundantly above all that you ask or think.” – C.H. Spurgeon

“IF GOD GIVES YOU A FEW MORE YEARS, REMEMBER, IT IS NOT YOURS. YOUR TIME MUST HONOR GOD, YOUR HOME MUST HONOR GOD, YOUR ACTIVITY MUST HONOR GOD, AND EVERYTHING YOU DO MUST HONOR GOD.” – A. W. Tozer

The Gospel is meant to CHANGE THE SINNER. Not for the sinner to CHANGE THE GOSPEL to suit their sin.

What percentage of pastors have a clear conscience, so are qualified to lead according to Paul’s deacon qualifications [elders’ qualifications of ‘blameless’ and ‘holy’ mentioned above]? Almost all lie by commission or omission to teach “once saved always saved” or “only believe”/”just trust in.”
“They must hold to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience.” – 1 Tim. 3:9
Paul always made sure his conscience was clear:
“..I also practice ALWAYS having a CONSCIENCE VOID OF OFFENSE toward God and MEN.” – Acts 24:16
“False teachers can increase their credibility by quoting scriptures and claiming to explain the difficult passages, especially in Paul’s letters, which ‘ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other scriptures to their own destruction.'” (2 Peter 3:16) – “Once Saved, Always Saved?: A Study in perseverance and inheritance” by David Pawson, p. 97
“Explain the difficult passages” to teach false doctrines like: “once saved always saved,” “only believe” / “just trust in,” “Paul didn’t really mean women can’t be pastors,” etc.

I rearranged the order in Ephesians 4:12-16 to make this point: when the “trickery of men,” their “craftiness,” their twisting God’s words is exposed, their teaching of “wiles of error” and “winds of doctrine,” THEN WE’LL ATTAIN “UNITY of the faith,” become spiritually “full grown,” walking in the “fullness of Christ” — God’s clearly stated words here:
[When the] “TRICKERY of men in CRAFTINESS after the WILES OF ERROR” [stops producing] “children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every WIND OF DOCTRINE” [we’ll have] “the PERFECTING of the saints, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Christ; UNTIL WE *ALL* ATTAIN to the UNITY of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a FULL GROWN man, to THE MEASURE OF THE STATURE OF THE FULLNESS OF CHRIST … but speaking TRUTH in love, we may GROW UP IN ALL THINGS INTO HIM, who is the head, Christ; from whom all the body, being fitted and knit together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in measure of each individual part, makes the body increase to the building up of itself in LOVE.”
Jesus in Matthew 7:13-21
“Enter in by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate and the way is restricted that leads to life! There are few who find it. …
Every tree that doesn’t grow good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. …
Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”

IF YOU’RE GOING TO PREACH ABOUT GOD’S LOVE, PREACH ABOUT WHAT GOD HATES.
IF YOU PREACH ABOUT GOD’S MERCY, PREACH ABOUT GOD’S WRATH.
IF YOU MENTION HEAVEN, DON’T FORGET HELL.
PREACH THE WHOLE COUNSEL OF GOD..(ACTS 20:27)
[“I didn’t shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.”]

PAUL: “CONSIDER therefore the KINDNESS AND SEVERITY of God.”
“So DO NOT BE ARROGANT, but BE AFRAID. For if God did not spare the natural branches, PERHAPS HE WILL NOT SPARE YOU either. CONSIDER therefore the KINDNESS AND SEVERITY of God: to those who have fallen, severity; but to yoʋ, kindness, IF YOU CONTINUE in his kindness; OTHERWISE yoʋ too will be CUT OFF.”
– Romans 11:20-22

Decisions become easier when your will to please God outweighs your will to please the world.
The pretribulation rapture has only been a doctrine since 1830. The pretribulation rapture was not a doctrine for 1,800 years of Church history.
If you had asked a scholar in the 1400s or the 1600s, they would have gone blank on you. A woman in Scotland had a vision in 1830 of the pretribulation rapture.
A few teachers, John Darby and Scofield, got hold of it and made it famous. It was a heresy to most people. By around 1930, it became established, but mostly only in America.
It’s not a doctrine that’s widespread around the world, except for the places where American seminaries have taken it. ~Mike Bickle
Some pastors claim God doesn’t see our sin, but the imputed righteousness of Christ.
God sees and knows everything.
I’ve posted this fact for years, but I like the way Joe says it.
Mind boggling!
“There’s a hundred billion stars in this galaxy alone. There’s hundreds of billions of galaxies in the known universe.” – Joe Rogan #2037
Consider:
Our sun is an average sized star, and the hundreds of billion galaxies each have an average of 100 billion stars (suns)!
‘It’s all created from nothing; no designer — by chance’ — children are taught in public education.
The Bible:
…that which is known by God is revealed in [men], for God revealed it to them. For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse. – Romans 1:18-20

“The left wing tyrannical types are particularly good at manipulating guilt, which works well on conservatives, because they tend to be more conscientious.”
“People who have nothing to shoot for aren’t happy. … Happiness occurs when you see yourself moving towards a valued goal. … So the higher your goal, the higher your possibility for happiness; even though, you have to suffer from the distance. If you don’t set a goal you’ll never be happy.”
“The truly wise man is he who always believes the Bible against the opinion of any man.” – R. A. Torrey
“Equity spits in the face of ‘if you don’t work neither shall you eat.'”
– Ron Hoffman, 5/7/23
Paul:
“For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are such we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread.” – 2 Thess. 3:10-12
Kerrigan Skelly explains how Jesus’ lust warning in Matthew 5 is absolutely serious! @ 39:00
“What I think Jesus is trying to communicate right here using hyperbole [overstatement to make a graphic point] is to teach this truth:
Do whatever it takes to get rid of the sin. Do whatever it takes. Why? Because your sin will cost you everything, everything in the end. And it’s better to lose whatever you have to lose than to keep sinning and lose Jesus and salvation. It’s better to get rid of whatever you need to get rid of to stop from going to eternal hell in the end.
Lust also many times involves the use of your hand or your hands. The same principle applies to verse 30 as to verse 29.
The question remains: is a little bit of pleasure you receive from lust worth everything: your life, your soul, your eternity? And if you answer ‘no,’ you need to prove it by your actions.”
God’s moral principles are a castle: strong walls and a moat that protects us from the destructive influences of Satan, the world and our own sin nature — our refuge!
‘Do you see God’s moral principles as a prison that keeps you from doing what you want, or as a castle that protects you from the destructive influences of Satan, the world and your own sin nature?’

“Trust in the LORD with ALL your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in ALL your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” – Prov. 3:5-6 MSB
“Christian men ought to be leading society uphill, rather than following society downhill. But it seems to me that the church follows the world, only 15 years later. … The world accepted homosexuality 20 years ago, the church is just now beginning to accept it. … Christians are just slowly following the world downhill.”
