[video] Thanksgiving Family Forum: Ron Paul Highlights — “The time when I made my commitment to Christ”

So tell me again: why won’t evangelicals, including the pastors support Ron Paul?

Huh?

[So why won’t evangelical ‘Christians’ support Ron Paul? WWJD?] Bill Sardi: What would really happen if Ron Paul were as elected President?

[Daily Paul comment] The real reason evangelical ‘Christians’ won’t support Ron Paul — “the so called evangelical right wing’s incredible and insatiable lust for war. War is not a family value. War is certainly not a Christian value. … Christ’s views on love and peace and so forth are pretty clearly spelled out. … Many professing Christians will be numbered with the goats on judgement day.”

Pastor Chuck Baldwin: Why Do Evangelicals Ignore Ron Paul? | My Opinion

Sarah Palin demonstrates why most evangelicals dissed Ron Paul, who wanted to bring the troops home. ‘Christians’ have two sets of books: one for US and one for THEM (“who don’t deserve rights”). THEY’re not our ‘neighbor’ whom Jesus commanded US to love as much as ourselves. Maybe that’s why most evangelicals refuse to investigate 9/11. If THEY didn’t take down the towers…???

Ron Paul Speaks To The Right To Life Foundation

Ron Paul at the Faith & Freedom Coalition Conference: “Life does begin at conception.” — We would like to think all we have to do is elect the right politicians and everything is going to be okay. But the government is a reflection of the people. The people change before the laws change. Morality has a lot to do with legislation.

Lew Rockwell: The Enemy is in Washington. That’s why RON PAUL runs NOT FOR GLORY, not for POWER, not for CONTROL. He runs to dismantle the aperatus in Washington. He wants to stop the war, stop the Fed’s counterfeiting, stop the rip-offs for the big bank, the big corporation, and for Big Pharma.” | CAN RON PAUL WIN? CAN THE ‘CHRISTIANS’ put their DESIRE FOR BLOOD below their desire to have some kind of standard of living…?

“Blessed are the PEACEMAKERS” Ron Paul: Well meaning church people are keeping the “war on drugs” [the war against the CIA’s competition] going, which helps finance the dark side of our government — our own demise!

“I think all of us know you can’t control the wind, but you can adjust the sail.

Father was asking for us to take a different tack. You know we all want to run on a fair wind. Isn’t that right? We just want to put the sail up and go. But when the opposing forces come at us, what He is asking us to do is to find each other corporately and learn how to tack into the wind and make the change that’s coming.

I personally believe this present financial crunch is designed to help us find each other.”

“When I am no longer independently wealthy I am then relationally dependent.”

“If we learn how to put our sail and learn how to turn this thing, we will see light in Goshen while there is darkness in Egypt.”

“It isn’t A to Z line. And that’s a skill of sailing. And that’s why we need fathers, why we need leadership, why we need each other.”

“God does not tease. If He has given you a hunger for something He will bring it to pass.”

“‘At minimum, 500 million tongue speaking believers in the world.’ That’s in my lifetime.”

“What we’ve got to do is become global Christians.”

U2 — 'Magnificent' Live on Letterman!!!!!!! "Till we die, you and I will magnify The Magnificent!"

One of the greatest songs of all time—just out, on the album, No Line on the Horizon! Lyrics by Bono and The Edge.

I was born to be with you
In this space and time

After that and ever after I haven’t had a clue
Only to break rhyme
This
foolishness can leave a heart black and blue

I was born to sing for you
I didn’t have a choice but to lift you up
And sing whatever song you wanted me to
I give you back my voice
From the womb my first cry, it was a joyful noise

only love can leave such a mark
only love can heal such a scar*

only love unites our hearts

Justify, till we die, you and I will magnify
The Magnificent

* Question?

Such a scar* that only love can heal: is it the mark of the calling to sing and play for God, the alienation and put-downs from fallen man, the tremendous pressure to play something juicy? Or is it the black and blue heart caused by the foolishness of breaking rhyme with the Creator?

I was thinking the latter, but I’m not so sure now. I’m wondering what Bono and The Edge were thinking when they wrote the song. Imagine the struggle they’ve been through. Both attended a charismatic fellowship, called Shalom at one point with Larry Mullen. I’m really glad to see that Adam Clayton seems to also really like the song!!

Any ideas out there?

Incidentally, Bono has talked about how they could always count on God to show up when they would play live: Where the Streets Have No Name. God is in the house.
