I wrote this in response to a comment which I realized later had the author’s name linked to a porn site. So I spammed it, but do think it’s worth responding to.
    The comment:

Why she talks about it in the chrch? There are a lot of place to talk about porn?

    My response:

One of the reasons is because she’s talking to the guys to whom a large percentage watch porn. And perhaps some of the women are fascinated by it too.
This is a filthy business, and there is nothing glamorous at all about it.
Shelley presents it in a way in which the people should learn to have compassion for those involved and come to detest the idea of participating in this even to the slightest degree.
Personally, I think this information really helps people get free. And many ‘Christians’ are in bondage and in danger of losing their salvation because of this.

Why go to all the work to get people to see your point when the scriptures state this regarding those types of people?:
Heb 10:26 For we–wilfully sinning after the receiving the full knowledge of the truth–no more for sins doth there remain a sacrifice,
Heb 6:4 for it is impossible for those once enlightened, having tasted also of the heavenly gift, and partakers having became of the Holy Spirit,
Heb 6:5 and did taste the good saying of God, the powers also of the coming age,
Heb 6:6 and having fallen away, again to renew them to reformation, having crucified again to themselves the Son of God, and exposed to public shame.

      Richard,
Why, for the reasons I thought that I had clearly stated, and because most ‘Christians’ don’t understand the clear truths in Heb. 10:26-39 (and similar).
I wouldn’t think that Hebrews 6 would be a text to generally apply here. See Dan Corner’s article: Hebrews Chapters 6 And 10 (Eternal Sin: Unforgivable Sin: Blasphemy Against The Holy Spirit) http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/hebrews.htm

    David,
I’m not sure what happened, but I was just notified of your comment now by email.
The answer is multifaceted. I think it’s really important to know for sure that this is a salvation issue. We’re in big-time danger if we give into this sin. Jesus said in Matthew 5 that we need to do whatever it takes in order to no lust in our hearts so we won’t go to hell. See: Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way.
And have you read my other posts in my Lust Freedom! category (in the pull-down list, above)? A really good one is The Red Gate Prophecy — What If I Open It Just a Little Bit?
The lust addiction is demonically empowered. Lust demons have a right to drive lust if we willfully lust even just a little bit. Overcoming really requires cold turkey, always looking away when tempted, never willfully lusting. Then the lust demons have no right to enter us at all.
To get free: “Submit to God; resist the devil and he will flee.” Once the demons are gone, it’s a lot easier to not lust.
This is “putting off,” but it also helps to “put on” doing righteousness, doing things that God is calling us to do — jumping into our calling — keeping busy doing right things that are full of life.
If you have any specific questions or comments please feel free to post.
