Cornelius loved Peter and fell down at his feet. Now the Pope loves and expects that, doesn’t he? He loves to have people falling down at his feet, kissing his hand and worshiping. But what of Peter, who they say was the first pope. What did he do?

Peter grabbed Cornelius. He pulled him up and said: ‘stand up!’ Peter wanted no part of this false worship.

He declared: ‘I, myself, also am a man.'”
