    • Steve, the Bible clearly says we must overcome to be in Christ and go to heaven:

Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way | Who are the Children of God?

If we’ve lied to people we need to apologize to them, so we can have clean hearts. Here is a GREAT example. God will help you and give you great joy as you get right with all!:

Asbury Revival, 1970: “‘Dr. Kinlaw, I am a liar. Now what do I do?’ … Three days later, she came to me radiant, and she said, ‘Dr. Kinlaw, I’m free!’”

If we have guilty consciences now, this will be magnified multiple times when we see Jesus face to face. We can’t be willfully sinning and going to heaven.
If this means getting a different job, so be it. We must do whatever we have to in order to be free.
Another factor here may be “the love of money is the root of all evil.” I believe root is a demonic stronghold. Submit to God; resist the Devil and he will flee.
If we do right we’ll feel right. If we don’t feel right we’re in trouble.
Let’s be free, and then ‘ONE’ can happen too (Jesus’ heart-cry for His people in John 17) — “that the world will know.”
It’s very clear: “Those who belong to Christ have crucified their flesh…”:

Gal. 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, 21 envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts. 25 If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit. …

6:7 Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that will he also reap. 8 For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
9 Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up.
