“OUR GOAL IN PARENTING is not ultimately for our kids to get a great education or to be great athletes or to find a great husband or get a great career. Our goal is for them to LOVE a great GOD” — Jesus’ Greatest Commandment!

The more I ponder this statement the more full of gravitas these words become in my thinking.

Jesus taught us: our GREATEST PRIORITY, actually a command – the *greatest commandment* is to LOVE the Lord, our God with ALL of our HEART, SOUL, MIND and STRENGTH.

So shouldn’t Jesus’ priority be parents’ NUMBER ONE PRIORITY in training their children — leading by example?

This is foundational, rock solid truth!

Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it. – Prov. 22:6
