Kent Hovind’s teaching on evolution and science is exceptional, but some of his Biblical teachings are heretical, especially his long time promotion of once-saved-always-saved, which is deceiving many, giving willful, unrepentant sinners false hope.
We must work out our salvation through fear and trembling by God’s grace that enables us to overcome!

“Megagenius,” you seem to be fixated on IQ, by what you call yourself and here, and by what you say about Kent.
The only Megagenius is God, actually.
Regarding Kent, he certainly is a genius in intelligence, no doubt, almost certainly having a photographic memory, which serves him well when debating scientists on creation vs evolution. He’s amazing! But interpreting the Bible correctly requires wisdom and often requires abiding in Christ, to be able to see.
I remember Kent saying that he would listen to the Bible on tape at something like double speed. That’s great for absorbing information, but to interpret the Bible accurately often requires slowly chewing the Word of God prayerfully — being tuned into the Holy Spirit. It’s not something we can rush. Kent is go, go, go….
To be a Bible teacher, one should be called too, for God warns teachers they’ll get a stricter judgment. It’s very serious to insist to millions (who have heard his teachings) that all they have to do is say a little prayer and they’ll go to heaven no matter what they do and how they live — which is completely unbiblical.
Again, this is not a Mt. 18 issue, in which we must first talk to them one to one, and then bring an elder….
It is right to warn the people about false teachers who can shipwreck their faith:
Is It Right: To Judge, To Expose Error & To Name Names? — Those who are faithful in exposing error according to the Bible are now being widely denounced, and are accused of being unloving and unkind
Still, I have spoken to Kent personally, once face to face in which I gave him Dan Corner’s 800 page book, The Believer’s Conditional Security : Eternal Security Refuted, many years ago, here in Anchorage.
And recently, I spoke to him on his Facebook page, in which he didn’t answer, but allowed me to have a lengthy discussion on who goes to heaven with another, which you can read here, if you’d like. Look for my “sundown” photo, and then click on “View more replies.”
I think you owe me an apology, in order for you to come clean in how you’re treating me in your recent accusations in these comments on my blog.
