“God’s ability to save us isn’t the issue. His great grace isn’t either, nor is his love or his promise never to leave or forsake us. The issue is us. Will we continue to love him? Will we forsake him? Will we make the sacrifice necessary to endure to the end? God’s part in salvation was executed on the cross. Our part doesn’t conclude until the day we enter eternity.”
– John Burton on Facebook
“Presumption regarding our salvation must be replaced with humility and sobriety. There is little value in overconfidence regarding our position in Christ yet there is supreme value in continually analyzing our heart, living in joyful repentance and working out our salvation with fear and trembling.”
– John Burton on Facebook
KCC: I must leave soon.
Woman: What should I do?
KCC: What do you feel?
Woman: Hate. Fills the emptiness where my child grew.
KCC: To hate is like drinking salt water. Your thirst grows worse.
Woman: Don’t you understand what I feel?
KCC: I have seen the silkworm. It spins a thread. Thinking itself to be safe, it has spun a tomb. Hate is the tomb you weave. It will not save you from your suffering.
Woman: That’s what I feel. What can I do with it?
KCC: Perhaps there is room to bury your hate in that small grave where we have come from.

Message Highlight – Why We Have A Jihadist Problem
Jesus’ greatest commandment:
“Those two words, ‘in Him’ are found 164 times in Paul’s epistles.”
“The Christian experience is first and foremost a personal experience. If you don’t have a personal experience with Christ you don’t know Christ, and you don’t have salvation.”
– Chuck Baldwin from The Christian Experience: Personal, Powerful, And Painful – Bible Study on May 3, 2017

Jesus told five out of seven churches of believers in Revelation that they were lost, on the way to destruction. The Smyrna believers were about to enter tribulation, whom he encouraged. Notice again! Jesus said that five out seven Christian churches of believers were on their way to Hell. Only the church of Philadelphia was doing well because they had kept [obeyed] his word with patient endurance.
Massive error had already taken hold 2000 years ago, until today the false church is pervasive with grace supposedly being a license to continue to sin…..And yet it seems evident to me (today) that over 90% of “The Believers” here in America STILL DON’T GET IT AND ARE MARCHING RIGHT INTO HELL…..still believing that they’re “under Grace” while STILL LIVING IN SIN!!!???

John Burton wrote on Facebook:
It’s shocking how many supposed mature Christians argue against the call to holiness (as if it were impossible), and they promote the idea that sin is an unfortunate but expected part of our lives. They believe, contrary to Scripture, that the cross paid the penalty of sin but it doesn’t give us power over sin. Simply, they expect to sin and don’t feel concern over their condition or the sinful habits of others.
The truth is that we never have to sin again. If we do, it should be an uncommon, major event that causes us to hit our face in mourning, tears, brokenness and urgent repentance.
Sin can and does cause many followers of Jesus to spend eternity in Hell. To say sin is an expected part of Christian’s lives is a grievous offense to the cross.
“Unrepentant sin is as eternally deadly for the Christian as it is for the lost. Hell is the future for both.”
– John Burton on Facebook
“He’s [Assad] protecting the Christians. Nobody checks with the Syrian Christians over there. They are terrified of Assad being taken out, because they will be wiped off the face of the earth. So we are now staging sort of a reverse-crusade where we help wipe out Christianity in the Middle East.”

“The longer the teabag sits in the cup, the stronger the tea. The more God’s Word saturates our minds, the clearer our grasp on what’s important to Him and the stronger our prayers.” –Joni Eareckson Tada

Surrender — the narrow way…

Forgiveness is not for the weak. Being able to forgive those who have wronged you is a mark of spiritual strength and confidence. When you forgive, you grow and your heart begins to heal, your back straightens up, your eyes clear so that you can see the road ahead. Anger is a spiritual sickness; but when you forgive you live.

I’ve experienced this a few … hundred times.
“The love of money” > the love of Truth?

Yesterday, I clearly heard:
– –
“We either overcome sin or sin overcomes us.”
A SINGLE DAY in Hell will be worse than a WHOLE LIFE spent carrying the cross!

Only one side of God’s character is being taught, contrary to what Paul clearly said:
“Don’t be conceited, but FEAR; for if God didn’t spare the natural branches [the Jews], neither will he spare you. See then the GOODNESS *AND* SEVERITY of God. Toward those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, IF YOU CONTINUE in his goodness; OTHERWISE YOU WILL ALSO BE CUT OFF.” – Romans 11:20-22
