“It is easier to resist at the beginning of temptation than at the end”

This is a good one, because willfully giving into sin opens the door to demons to come in and then drive it — so it then seems impossible to stop.

“Submit to God; resist the Devil, and he will flee.”

Shut the door. Keep out the Devil = Freedom!!!

  1. MEN WANT TO INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD. MEN WANT TO BE SAVED. MEN WANT TO BE CHRISTIAN. MEN WANT TO HAVE THEIR SINS FORGIVEN. HOWEVER!

Men want to receive all of the benefits of God’s grace, however, many refuse to meet God’s requirements.

    1. Men want to be saved without naming Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Acts 4:10-12 …name of Jesus Christ…12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”(NKJV)

    2. Men want their sins forgiven without acknowledging Jesus as the Son of God.

John 8:24 “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”(NKJV)

3.Men desire to be saved without being baptized in water.

Mark 16:16 …and is baptized shall be saved….(NKJV)

    4. Men want their sins forgiven without repenting.

Acts 3:19 “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,(NKJV) (Repentance means to turn from unbelief and commit to turn from sin and to turn toward God)

    5. Men want to become Christian, but they do not want to be baptized into Christ.

Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

    6. Men desire to have their sins forgiven, however, they do not want to repent and be baptized in water to have that occur.

Acts 2:38 …”Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins…(NKJV)

    7. Men want to inherit the kingdom of God, however, they want to continue in their current sinful lifestyle.

1 Corinthians 6:1-11….9. Do you not know the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?…..
    Neither fornicators,
    nor idolaters,
    nor homosexuals,
    nor sodomites,
    10 nor thieves,
    nor covetous,
    nor drunkards,
    nor revilers,
    nor extortioners,
will inherit the kingdom of God……..

    8. Men want to be saved, however, they want to deny the bodily resurrection of Jesus from the grave.

Romans 10:9 that if if confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

You cannot earn God’s grace, however, there are requirements to receive and maintain His grace.

    1. And most men are being taught they don’t have to overcome sin in and abide in Christ to go to heaven. All they have to do is say a little prayer.

Most men don’t study what the Bible really says about who goes to heaven.

And some who have are rejecting the Bible to go with their gut feeling that God wouldn’t be so strict, and the way can’t be that narrow. And some of them are probably not getting water baptized either.

“Whatever feels good, do it” — instead of abiding in Christ and being led by the Holy Spirit in more tangible ways than just feelings, which demons can influence.

Men want to be saved without doing the Greatest commandment, worshiping the creation (women and what man can do), instead of worshiping the Creator (Romans 1).

“Those who are led by the Spirit are the sons of God.”
