Pastor Baldwin: Ron Paul’s Israel Problem [Evangelicals Led Astray?]
Hyper-patriotism has become a sin for many evangelicals in America. Now, much of the world hates US, and is rejecting Christ because of our refusal to fully walk in the new covenant in which Jesus commanded us to love EVERYONE as much as we love ourselves.
Reverse-Christianity is destroying the church in America, and America, itself.
Few evangelicals, including the pastors, love the Lord our God with all of their hearts, soul, mind and strength, and their neighbors as themselves. We must repent for ‘ONE’ to happen, “that the world will know” (Jesus’ heart-cry prayer for us in John 17).

5 Overlooked Cultural Sins Threatening the Church
What if the biggest threats to the church weren’t the things we thought they were? What if the very foundation of our country’s culture actually resembles the culture of our churches? We may find that we’ve been blind to more subtle and subversive influences that are having a greater impact on the church than the issues that consume us.
Here are just five overlooked cultural norms that are contrary to the Kingdom and are sinful within the Kingdom, unknowingly supported by many of us. …
3. Patriotism
It’s unimaginable to think of Jesus’ followers singing patriotic Roman songs or praying for the success of Rome or adorning themselves in Roman symbols. Jesus’ call was a call out of nationalism and cultural patriotism and into a Kingdom that knows no political or national boundaries. As the Apostle Paul reminded the Galatian churches, “There is no Jew or Greek…” in the Kingdom. Our national and worldly identities have been abandoned for a new eternal Kingdom identity that enjoins us to a greater nation, the Nation of God.
Gratitude and thankfulness for our nation must be tempered by a primary and superior gratitude for the Nation of God. Our citizenship in the Kingdom is infinitely superior to our citizenship in a political and worldly identity.
The flag of any country should never share space with symbols of the Christian faith, especially when the intent is to arouse patriotism. When images of the cross are merged with images of the flag, the church’s identity has been compromised. When churches sing patriotic songs, the church’s identity has been compromised.
Soldiers and military personnel have a great job to perform in protecting the sovereignty of a country and its citizens [when they really are – editor], but these great men and women [only great when they’ve determined to not obey reverse-Christian orders – editor) are the country’s military, not God’s military. We can be thankful for the work they do in defending our security without imposing upon them a task to which they were not called.

“The U.S. government gives Israel between three and five billion American tax dollars every year…. That is going towards upholding these illegal practices. … We are the ones paying for this. We have a right. We have a responsibility to know where our tax dollars are going, and to insure that they are not being used to violate human rights, international law….”
“In Israel, there is a much higher tolerance for debate and dissent on this issue than you find in the United States. … It is five times more likely for an Israeli soldier to commit suicide than to be killed in a terrorist attack. So when people talk about this occupation as helping the Jewish people, they don’t realize how many Israelis are actually against it, and how important it is for the Jewish people as well as the Palestinian people to end this.”

Anna Baltzer, a Jewish American with the IWPS, documents the human rights abuses perpetrated by the Israelis.
A wonderfully moving introduction to the plight of the Palestinians, in simple, everyday terms, with a captivating narration by eyewitness Anna Baltzer. Anna Baltzer, a Jewish-American Columbia graduate and Fulbright scholar, presents her discoveries as a volunteer with the International Women’s Peace Service in the West Bank, documenting human rights abuses and supporting Palestinian-led nonviolent resistance to the Occupation. Baltzer’s presentation provides those interested in the Israel/ Palestine conflict with critical information and documentation that can be difficult to obtain through mainstream Western media sources, and to encourage dialog towards taking action on the issue. Topics discussed include checkpoints, settlements, Israeli activism, Zionism, 1948 War & refugees, censorship, the Wall, the ongoing annexation of Palestinian land, and the almost unbearable living conditions under the occupation. The grand-daughter of Holocaust refugees, Baltzer works to address the injustices of today in light of those of the past. She is the author of the book Witness in Palestine.

A Christian Perspective on Supporting Israel
From Jeff Fenske
This is real, Israeli racist superiority, pride and hubris that many evangelicals fully enable, “blessing Israel” (Gen. 12:3) more than the Arabs. They yell:
“A JEW IS a darling. AN ARAB IS a son of a b—.”
“May the Israel army win and f— up the Arabs. … Death to the Arabs!”
This is pure, racist hatred, which may stem from “the chosen race” mentality, which Jesus taught the Good Samaritan parable to help clarify, to help bring them into new covenant, loving EVERYONE AS MUCH AS themselves — the second greatest commandment — which we are commanded by Jesus to obey too.
Supporting all of Israel’s ways no matter what, and intentionally looking the other way toward Israel’s open hatred towards others may actually be rebellion towards God.
What does “blessing Israel” (Gen. 12:3) really mean, especially in the new covenant, where Jesus has commanded us to love EVERYONE as much as we love ourselves?

[…]
As Memorial Day is celebrated, is memory really what is encouraged or is it just an exercise in imagining? In other words, can we tell the truth on Memorial Day? While some truth is given voice on this solemn occasion, there are other important truths that are distorted in the telling or pushed from memory altogether. This is the case, not just in community Memorial Day services, but in churches that allow a Memorial Day focus to be introduced into worship. While I find the inclusion of this nationalist holiday in worship a wholly inappropriate, theologically unjustifiable practice, I find it doubly disturbing that from what I have seen churches do little to introduce much needed truth to the occasion.
[…]
Right remembering of the dead is a moral undertaking. It shows respect for the departed and displays sympathy for family members and friends left behind. But untruthful memorials serve other purposes, sometimes masking truth and glorifying that which should not be glorified. I think there are some questions we should ask as Memorial Day approaches.
(1) Can we remember without attributing reasons for war that aren’t in fact the real reasons? To celebrate Memorial Day by claiming soldiers died that we might be free is misleading. The real causes behind most wars have had little to do with protecting freedom of speech or assembly or worship. Major General Smedley Butler, USMC , declared, “Beautiful ideals were painted for our boys who were sent out to die.… No one mentioned to them, as they marched away, that their going and their dying would mean huge war profits.” Can we remember in a way that doesn’t falsify the causes of war, justify national self-righteousness, or turn Memorial Day into a recruiting tool to entice the young to enter the armed forces?
(2) Can we remember the innocent victims of war, even as we remember those who died while fighting? The majority of people who die in wars are not combatants. It is certainly not the case that sufficient care is taken by the military to avoid civilian deaths or that investigations of the deaths of the innocent are always undertaken. For those who believe otherwise, I highly recommend the viewing of the critically acclaimed, Academy Award nominated documentary Dirty Wars. Far too many people have suffered at the hands of the American military who have engaged in no armed hostilities. Yet they are maimed and killed, often on ill-founded suspicions. Remembering these men, women, and children can help us remember rightly on Memorial Day.
Also by Craig: The Nationalistic Corruption of Worship in America
(3) Can we remember without the “us versus them” factor that is inevitable when we honor “our” war dead? Memorial Day was formerly known as Decoration Day and it served as an occasion to commemorate the Union and Confederate soldiers who died in the Civil War. By including the war dead on both sides of the conflict, the day was used to affirm unity rather than reinforce division. The sacrifice of the soldiers was acknowledged but one side was not glorified over the other. Can we remember those who died in war without reinforcing nationalism? Perhaps if all who died on battlefields were commemorated on Memorial Day –and not just Americans- the occasion might foster something greater than national unity: a global unity rooted in an acknowledgment of the tragedy of war.
Those Americans who suffered and died in war ought to be remembered. The grave difficulties endured by of those who faced armed conflict and lost their lives should be recognized. The soldiers’ best intentions in allowing themselves to be put in harm’s way –regardless of the actual reasons for war- deserve to be honored. But in the process, war itself should not be honored, the reasons for war whitewashed, nor should the suffering and the deaths of others be ignored. Rather “putting away falsehood, let all of us speak the truth to our neighbor” (Ephesians 4:25).

America has largely become a reverse-Christian nation. We don’t really love our neighbors as much as we love ourselves:
I’m amazed to still see that MANY evangelicals STILL THINK THAT AMERICA WEARS THE WHITE HAT in these reverse-Christian wars.
It actually started at the top: Dick Cheney said that our nation’s efforts “must go to the dark side” – including ignoring the Geneva Conventions.
And the atrocities committed on Iraqi civilians have been suppressed by our pro-war-and-torture media. This is just a small part of what they don’t want US to see, so they can do more wars and more countries, until we have no reputation left. The world will cheer when Russia and China take US out, perhaps 10 years from now.

“The kingdom of God and the kingdom of this world are two very separate things. One uses the sword (power over) to influence people; the other uses love (power under). To understand this distinction is much easier than letting it affect the way we live.
But “we’ll lose face” if we admit we’ve been wrong and apologize. I transcribed this in my post:
Transcribed by Jeff Fenske from this video:
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qOqitIKUNs]A Revival Account: Asbury 1970
Dennis Kinlaw, President of Asbury College (1970) recalls this amazing event.
“A format had been developed. It started in that opening chapel. A student would give his witness. He would tell about how God was dealing with him about sin in his life. He’d make his confession. And then he would tell how God had brought forgiveness to him, and restoration. Or how the need of his heart had been met—the spiritual need.
As he would speak, there would be somebody in the audience who would say, ‘that’s like me.’ And then that person would come under conviction and come forward and kneel at the altar.
So a pattern had been developed of testimony, of sharing. Then after the testimony, prayer, and after the prayer, singing and praise and adoration. And then more witnessing, sharing how God had met human need.”
________________
“I suppose I had been there about an hour when a young lady came up…and she walked back and knelt side of the seat where I was sitting, and looked up at me and said:
‘Dr. Kinlaw, may I talk with you?’
I said, ‘why yes.’
She said, ‘I need help…. I’m a liar’ [Dr. Kinlaw breaks up with emotion] Excuse me. Forgive me for a minute.
She said, ‘I lie so much, I don’t even know when I’m lying. I am a liar. Now what do I do?’
Well I sat there for a moment or two, and I had never said this to anybody else, but I looked at her and I said, ‘why don’t you start back to the last person you remember that you lied to. Confess it to that person, and ask him or her to forgive you.’
‘Oh,’ she said, ‘that would kill me.’
I said, ‘no, it would probably cure you.’
Three days later, she came to me radiant, and she said, ‘Dr. Kinlaw, I’m free!’
I said, ‘what do you mean, ‘you’re free.?’
She said, ‘I just hit my 34th person and I’m free [Kinlaw raises both hands in the air in the way she probably had]!’

Are we willing to follow and obey the Holy Spirit so ‘ONE’ can happen? So we can be free and then the world will know (John 17)?

From: The Libertarian Review
Throughout the last 2000 years, humanity has been violent, many wars have been fought for many reasons, and much of humanity has adhered to Christianity. The very fact that wars occur, even among Christian nations, was a horrible thought, as Christianity is very clear that its adherents were to be peacemakers.
This dreadful dichotomy between the ideals and goals of peace, and the reality and harshness of life and the ‘necessity of war’, has meant that Christian thinkers from very early on had to grapple with the issue. We are commanded that murder is wrong by the Ten Commandments. Yet we also know that we have a responsibility to defend our families, communities have a responsibility to protect the citizens in them and, of course, that governments have an obligation and responsibility to protect and defend their people and enforce justice among the members. The taking of human life is wrong.
Therefore, Christianity worked out the Just War Doctrine, that laid out the various issues related to justice and war, and even though its foundation is Christian in origin, it is such a useful doctrine that any country can use it whether Christian or not, and it is extremely helpful in many areas of human relationships, not the least of which is foreign relations. …
Wikipedia’s entry on the Just War Doctrine is useful for further information.
The Seven Tenets of the Just War Doctrine:
By these principles, that build upon one another, you can begin to see in how many ways our current foreign policy and reasons for war have violated the tenets that Americans, people of western civilization and Christians in general have held for years.
The first thing that is made plain: There is NEVER a justification for PRE-EMPTIVE war. All of America’s friends, allies and even the enemies took note that America had abandoned tradition and history and decided to go to war pre-emptively. That means that ANY COUNTRY, any leader, any provocation of any type could bring war down on their heads without recourse to diplomacy, negotiations, third party interventions. It made America DANGEROUS AND UNPREDICTABLE. It made our enemies step up their preparations for protective and possibly aggressive warfare. It also gave other countries an out and out justification to strike at us without warning, by any means they may choose.
It has put America and Americans in the greatest danger we have EVER been in.
The Just War Doctrine holds human life, and the well being of societies, to be of primary importance, and that the only point to war is to address damage that has been done already to a people and to return everyone to a state of peace as rapidly as possible.
The Constitution of the United States actually embodies the Just War Doctrine, implicitly if not explicitly. …

I just got a dream about US torturing. While sleeping, I heard very clearly these words:
“Why torture me? Why does the criminal government of America torture me?”
Then, for about an hour, I got all kinds of prayers for those involved, especially those who insist we vote for Presidential candidates who will continue the torture that was escalated during the Bush/Cheney regime. And I prayed for those who insist people don’t vote for Ron Paul, the “Jesus’ Golden Rule” candidate.
And then I heard, awake this time: “The first thing to repent of is First Love.”
Which I assume involves the Greatest Commandment, not loving the Lord, our God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength — so then we don’t do the Second Greatest Commandment either: love our neighbors as ourselves. To many are following the crowd instead of the HOLY Spirit.
Then I heard: “Give to me your pride.”
“Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 16:18). Regardless of what our country is doing, please, let’s be holy and not participate in this madness that is destroying our country as we illegally and immorally hurt others.
In the first statement I heard, tonight, God actually calls our government a “criminal government.” I thought of how both Bush and Cheney won’t fly to certain countries now, afraid of being arrested for war crimes against humanity, but evangelicals are still voting for the same type of leaders.
Let’s be holy – Jeff

Remarkable demonstration of DISCIPLINE that ENDS WITH A HUG:
First, the mother glares angrily at her son as he stands a few feet away looking guilty and sheepish.

Why don’t evangelical pastors talk about repenting and getting right with those we’ve hurt? Where are the peacemakers?
Instead, they’re pushing for another war — won’t support Ron Paul — when we haven’t even gotten right with those we hurt horrendously in the last two or three wars since unforgiveness and retaliation has raged, post 9/11.
This is disgusting — warmongering among ‘Christians’ — blood on their lips to defend Israel, when neither Israel or US will get on our knees and repent. So reverse-Christian! And so naive, thinking we’re safe no matter what. “If God is for US, who could be against US?”
God is for US repenting and getting right…
Remember when God would raise up nations to bring Israel into captivity to teach them a lesson in the Old Testament. One of these days it will be our turn — which I think will happen more by God lifting His hand of protection from our nation.

AMY GOODMAN: President-elect Obama supports an end to the war in Iraq but a surge of soldiers in Afghanistan. What are your words of wisdom to him?
ARCHBISHOP DESMOND TUTU: Well, I say that obviously it’s to end the war—yeah?—to end the occupation, to—but I’ve also said it would wonderful if, on behalf of the American people, he were to apologize to the Iraqis and to the rest of the world for an invasion that was based on lies. You know, saying “I’m sorry,” that’s a very powerful phrase in human relationships. The current prime minister of Australia, one of the very first things he did was to apologize to the Aborigines. And it’s amazing what those words, some of the most difficult words in any language, how powerful they are in changing. That’s what I’ve said.
And one would hope, too, that, you know, they see that war hardly ever resolves problems. You just have an exacerbation. I mean, look at Iraq. I mean, and when you think—we don’t speak about the casualties that have been suffered by them. I mean, they are spoken of as “collateral damage.” I think it’s an obscenity, really. But the damage that has been done to infrastructure, the insecurity that has people living, not sure from one moment to the next whether they will be alive—and say, if the money, all the funds that were expended so disastrously, had been used for building up, I mean, you can imagine. You can imagine what it would have been like.

Excellent, except the evidence for 9/11 doesn’t mainly point to blowback, but rather an inside job, orchestrated from within to bring us into a police state and the one-world government:
Note: the U.S. atrocities shown here are just a tiny percentage of the horrors and overthrows our CIA and military machine have committed covertly. It’s sobering to think of what will happen to US since we haven’t changed course and most still won’t support Ron Paul. That will be BLOWBACK!!
Jesus said in the sermon on the mount (Mt. 5):
“BLESSED are the PEACEMAKERS, for they shall be called CHILDREN of GOD!!!”

MEEKNESS IS NOT WEAKNESS
Matthew 5:5
Psalm 37:1-11
Introduction: To many people a meek person has no “backbone”. To them a meek person let’s everybody run over them and stands up for nothing. That IS NOT what Jesus was referring to when he said, “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth”. Jesus was meek, but certainly no pushover. Matthew 11:28-30, 21:5. The word meek means to be “gentle”. According to John McArthur, “Meekness is gentleness and mildness, and a subdued character, but it is not weakness. It is power under control.” A meek person can be very powerful and very much in control. A meek person is capable of anger. Jesus got angry at the right things at the right times.
He did not get angry when:
Instead Jesus prayed for those who persecuted Him (Lk.23:34, Isa.53:7). As you know, Jesus had the power to fight against his enemies. He could have come down off the cross [I disagree, because of Jesus’ Phillipians-2 emptying and empowerment by the Holy Spirit, which I discuss here: A Call to Intimacy: The Holy Spirit in John’s Gospel & Epistles, by Jeff Fenske [D. A. Carson – Johannine Theology, 1993 – editor]. He could have resisted the mistreatment he had received. He had the power, as God, but didn’t use it. That’s power under control. So how do we go about developing meekness in our lives? First, we must realize that meekness is part of the Fruit of the Spirit. As we allow God’s Holy Spirit to control us, we are allowing God to perfect the fruit of meekness (Gal. 5:22-23). It would also be nice if there was a passage of Scripture that would give us an idea of how to develop meekness in our lives. Good news! There is! When the Lord Jesus talks about meekness, He is alluding to Psalm 37:11 “But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace”.

What agreement has a temple of God with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. Even as God said, “I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”

‘Liberty Groped’ Anthony Freda Art |
Good and evil doesn’t have a grey zone. Killing and stealing is bad. Violence is never “good” or necessary unless it is used to defend against killers and thieves. Indeed, that is the morality behind the “just war” principle as defined by international laws and treaties.
Yet, this simple concept of right and wrong gets muddled by differing ideas about religion, patriotism, economics and many other divisions. The “just war” rule has crumbled under the ambitions of empires throughout history. The American-led Anglo Saxon empire is no different.
This empire has been brutally conquering and colonizing territory since the fall of Rome. However, it has only gained an American face in the last century. The United States quickly emerged as the world’s “superpower” primarily through its economic might. For some time, many believed the U.S. to be a shining example of economic freedom for other nations to emulate. Indeed, America was eager to promote “economic freedom” globally to open new markets for U.S.-based corporations.
When foreign leaders refused to allow these corporate interests into their country, those leaders were replaced through a variety of covert actions. The form of government that would be installed did not matter to the empire makers so long as the corporate interests were served. In most cases these nations simply surrendered to the seemingly unlimited power of the almighty dollar, thus camouflaging the traditional method of forceful empire building.
However, some nations, especially in the last two decades, remained stubborn and have refused to alter their banking systems while also shunning Western companies. Despite the empire’s best efforts to diplomatically bribe or sanction them into submission, they ultimately required an iron military fist to force their compliance. Until recently, military action remained the last resort. But now, preemptive military action seems to have become the preferred, and perhaps necessary, method to conquer the last resource-rich nations out of their grasp.
The empire’s populations cheered this strategy out of fear of being attacked by these rogue nations who never attacked or even threatened to attack them. In the fog of fear, killing and stealing became acceptable. In fact, detention without charges and even torture became acceptable in the former capital of freedom. America has determined that the means justifies the end — which is more power.
As with all empires, these “means” have become increasingly violent and destructive in the face of resistance. Yet, only a few more dominoes are left to knock over for America to complete a plan set in motion well before they were one of the colonies. That is unless, of course, other world powers break ranks and attempt to stop the conquerors, which could lead to a large scale conflict.
Regardless, when the dust settles and moral history is written, America and her Western cohorts will likely be viewed as the most brutal empire in history. Here are ten reasons why this is already the case:
Rumsfeld with Saddam Hussein 1983 |
1. Support of Dictators: For all the happy talk of spreading Democracy and protecting human rights, the empire has repeatedly not only supported dictators, but in many cases overthrew popularly elected leaders and replaced them with puppet tyrants. Examples range from secretly funding the Nazis, to installing the Shah in Iran, Pinochet in Chile, supporting Musharraf in Pakistan, and their everlasting love affair with the brutal Saudi royal family, to name a few. Actions speak louder than words to those who can navigate the storm of propaganda with a moral compass set to recognize good from evil. Dictators and freedom cannot coexist.
2. Preemptive Wars of Aggression: It could be said that all wars are preemptive in nature because so many entities benefit from war. Yet, even before America’s latest crusades, they covertly and surgically attacked countries that never threatened them. This allowed them to maintain the moral high road in the public’s eye while constructing the foundation of their empire. That was until the Bush Doctrine; the use of preemptive military action to confront possible threats was unofficially adopted to be the new foreign policy for combating terror. Since then, America has become the violent aggressors, having officially invaded two countries — Afghanistan and Iraq — without legitimate provocation. Violent aggressors have always been judged by history as evil. But it gets worse….
Dees Illustration |
3. Torture: Torture has never been acceptable by those promoting a high moral standing in the global community. Nazis and Japanese soldiers were convicted and executed for engaging in the exact same torture techniques that America has redefined as ‘enhanced interrogation’. “I was just following orders,” was not a justifiable excuse for such inhumane behavior, much like it wasn’t a good enough defense for the low-ranking patsies who took the heat for the sinister Abu Ghraib torture scandal even though their actions were approved at the highest levels. Can state-sanctioned torture of prisoners held without charges ever be viewed as anything less than brutal?
Dees Illustration |
4. Suppression of Dissent: All tyrannical regimes throughout history have suppressed homeland dissent. As government oppression grows bolder at home and abroad, more citizens will naturally express outrage, resulting in even more oppressive controls. This is happening in the United States through the all-seeing eye of the Department of Homeland Security with warrantless spying, arbitrary watch lists, citizen spy campaigns, and TSA molestation to travel anywhere. Additionally, in an attempt to squash free speech, they arbitrarily seize websites and violently confront peaceful protesters. Unfortunately, as awareness of the topics in this very article expands, the U.S. will likely become even bolder in their pursuit of stifling dissent. In other words, the worst is yet to come, and history will judge the U.S. as not quite the beacon of freedom they have pretended to be.
5. Elimination of Habeas Corpus: Say goodbye to the notion of being innocent until proven guilty, the right to face charges and your accuser, and the right to a free and fair trial. Habeas corpus, considered the only humane path to “which a prisoner can be released from unlawful detention,” has been eliminated for those vaguely labeled ‘enemy combatants’ of the empire. As Guantanamo prisoners rot under such pretenses, prominent lawmakers in the empire propose the exact same lack of rights for American citizens if they’re labeled an ‘enemy belligerent‘. Similar to the Spanish Inquisition, now you’re guilty until you’re tortured to admit your guilt. Can it get more evil? Why yes, it can. Read on.
Anthony Freda Art |
6. Assassinating Citizens: That’s right. No judge, no jury, no conviction; just straight to execution. America has set another precedent in their tyrannical march toward empire when they openly assassinated an American citizen and government patsy, Anwar al-Awlaki, and his teenage son on the suspicion of terrorism. Paul Craig Roberts laments “Now the US government not only can seize a US citizen and confine him in prison for the rest of his life without ever presenting evidence and obtaining a conviction, but also can have him shot down in the street or blown up by a drone.” Isn’t this the reason America claims to be knocking off dictators around the world — the deliberate killing of their own citizens?
But Awlaki was a bad apple because the intelligence community said so. What’s most telling that America will continue this wickedness is that almost every US lawmaker turned a blind eye to the grotesque violation of Constitutional rights. Only Ron Paul said that assassinating an American citizen without charges is nothing less than an “impeachable offense”. Too bad most of the country cheered the Awlaki killing as a “victory” in the war on terror, indicating that it is now an acceptable tactic. Americans beware: you may be moved from a secret watch list to a secret kill list in this brutal empire.
Dees Illustration |
7. Unauthorized Drone Wars: Unprovoked wars without authorization, accountability, or independent oversight only seem to be escalating; and with little resistance. The US Congress no longer votes to “declare war”. They simply give the Commander in Chief broad “authorization” to use force against specific nations. However, even that is not broad enough in the rapid pursuit of empire. Now, joystick warriors directed by the CIA and Pentagon have targeted at least three countries with “unauthorized” military strikes; Pakistan, Yemen, and Somalia. Even worse, they waged a full-scale war for regime change and resource plundering in Libya without any authority inside the United States. Under the NATO flag, which is 75% funded by the U.S., they flew over 9200 strike sorties in Libya to illegally topple Gaddafi. Drunk with success, the bloodthirsty empire marches on to their next preemptive targets, Syria and Iran. Quick morality check: unprovoked killing and stealing as a first resort is still wrong, right?
8. Use of Weapons of Mass Destruction: How ironic that the world’s policeman for weapons of mass destruction is the only one to use them on a mass scale. The United States is on record using chemical, biological and even nuclear weapons. From the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in WWII, to Monsanto’s Agent Orange in Vietnam, to the depleted uranium used in Afghanistan and Iraq, America only condemns itself when speaking about the evils of WMDs. However, killers don’t appear to care how the killing is accomplished, so long as it achieves their goals. The real firecrackers will likely be brought out in a confrontation with Iran, or if China and Russia are lured into the conflict. It won’t really matter much what history says if the use of WMD escalates by either side, but the aggressors should rightly be blamed for the ensuing scorched earth, while the defenders against killers and thieves should be viewed as righteous.
9. World’s Largest Drug Dealer: The American empire is the largest drug dealer in the world? Say it isn’t so. Well, in addition to forcing legal drugs and genetically modified organisms on nations, usually under the cover of foreign aid, America also leads in the illegal drug trade. In fact, many researchers reveal that the war on drugs is only utilized to control and monopolize the illicit drug trade. The US government has been caught multiple times shipping in cocaine, colluding with certain cartels to control the industry, and now openly protects and transports opium from Afghanistan. In fact, Global Research points out that in 2001, “according to UN figures, opium production had fallen to 185 tons. Immediately following the October 2001 US led invasion, production increased dramatically, regaining its historical levels.” This month, the U.N. announced that Afghanistan now provides 93% of the world’s opium production; up 61% compared to 2010 to a whopping 5800 tonnes. Although the empire tries to keep it secret, they can’t hide the hypocrisy forever.
10. World Reserve Currency Prison: Although using Weapons of Mass Debt is a non-violent form of expanding the empire, it’s perhaps the most brutal and effective form of control. Requiring foreign nations to purchase oil and other imported commodities with US dollars wields immense power. Because all nations must acquire dollars to purchase critical resources, they quickly become indebted to the US Federal Reserve, their affiliate central banks, and the IMF. Before long, the entire world is colonized by debt. It seems that only the nations that don’t need or refuse credit from Western banking institutions are the ones in danger of facing the wrath of the imperial war machine. Incidentally, most oil-rich nations in the Middle East have outlawed usury (lending money with interest), making them impossible to conquer diplomatically through debt. Controlling the world reserve currency means controlling the tap of life itself, which is a dangerous weapon in the hands of an aggressive empire. Debt is the ultimate WMD the empire uses to enslave the world, which leaves dissidents with two clear choices: slavery or death.
Although this empire is infinitely more powerful than Rome was, it will likely suffer the same fate. For every negative action the empire commits, there’s an equal and opposite good reaction. And the goodness of humanity will always defeat tyranny when it goes too far. However, an empire with so much to lose will go down swinging and slinging every weapon in its arsenal, thus putting the final stamp on their status as most brutal empire in history.

Who are we?
Then who are we?
Then who are we?
We are the ONES denying ourselves and following our Almighty Shepherd. We are the ONES who do NOT belong to this wicked world. We are the little lambs of God who forgive and love both our friends and foes. We are spiritually reborn into Heaven.
We are the echoing VOICE of truth. We are both physically and spiritually united in our cause. We are the Warriors of Love. We are the Annointed Eagles. We are the humble and meek, we never take revenge ourselves upon our foes. We are the people of the future.
We are the enemies of the devil and his minions. We are the ONES who would rather die physical death than to be enslaved by the wicked.
We are the ONES who acknowledge the Call from the Holy Spirit ~ The Ruach haKodesh. We are the ONES who seek as many people as possible to unite in our wonderful journey. We are the ONES who goes through hardship and suffering for our Heavenly Father’s Love. We are the bringers of GOD’s WORD. We are the ONES who are called to warn the people of this world of the coming false peace.
We REFUSE to be silented. We WILL RISE UP! Act UP! Speak UP! Tell the devil to Shut UP! In the Name of Yahushua! Even if the whole world is against us, we have the majority on our side!
The very nature that is controlled by God Almighty will rage against the wicked.
Who are we?
We are the children of Yahuveh and we will NEVER be silented

With Ron Paul as an example,
the ‘church’ still refuses to repent.
I don’t want any part of this!

Ushering in the wrong kingdom.
* * *
I really didn’t want to have another Yikes, Mike! moment. Shocked, I previously wrote: Mike Bickle, Head of IHOP: From Porn to Worship “Within the Minute?” Yikes, Mike!
I have demonstrated many times on this site that I have been a BIG FAN of Mike Bickle, founder of International House of Prayer (IHOP). His ambition to please God and do what is right is obvious, but it’s so sad to see him actually supporting the antichrist system. Rick Perry is the establishment’s choice for a reason. See my Rick Perry posts under the Rick Perry category at ToBeFree (also linked below).
It’s good to hear the news from the liberal side sometimes, in this case, NPR. Some of my thoughts:
First, I totally believe in spiritual warfare, especially when we are praying perfectly in our prayer languages to fight demons directly. But even the word dominionism doesn’t sit right with me, especially when I know it translates into the now endless preemptive wars that are mainly to take out countries that would oppose Satan’s one-world government. This isn’t just about power over demons, it’s power over people, and Rick Perry is their man?!!!
The true Christian peacemaker, Ron Paul is left to sit on the sidelines. This is exactly the reason America will not recover — the pastors are leading the sheep astray!
I was really disappointed to hear that Mike Bickle is actively supporting Rick Perry, whose Christianity is beyond just suspect [see my Rick Perry links below]. This is pretty serious! “Christian” Rick Perry is almost certainly a wolf in sheep’s clothing who will destroy this country just like “Christian,” Skull and Bonesman George W. Bush did [proof is in The Bush Family category at ToBeFree, linked below].
Christians, especially Christian leaders are supposed to be “wise as serpents and harmless as doves,” but it seems like too many evangelicals are not learning from history or doing their homework — nor are they being Bible and Holy Spirit led. The establishment (the globalists) will only support candidates they can control, and Rick Perry appears to be their number 1 Republican pick.
No wonder why I’ve never heard anyone crying out for ‘Christians’ to repent from their warmongering in the IHOP (International House of Prayer – Mike Bickle head) prayer room. All of these prayers about abortion (who all go to heaven), but once they’re out of the womb…, smash ’em — ‘Christians’ sending many straight to Hell!!
So much for “Blessed are the peacemakers….” I wrote recently:
If the peacemakers are blessed
(Blessed are the peacemakers – Jesus),
and most of today’s ‘Christians’ aren’t peacemakers:
both the ‘Christians’ and America can’t be blessed …
and have only themselves to blame when America goes down.
This is fundamental!

An emerging Christian movement that seeks to take dominion over politics, business and culture in preparation for the end times and the return of Jesus, is becoming more of a presence in American politics. The leaders are considered apostles and prophets, gifted by God for this role.
The international “apostolic and prophetic” movement has been dubbed by its leading American architect, C. Peter Wagner, as the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR).
[…]
“They teach quite literally that these ‘mountains’ have fallen under the control of demonic influences in society,” says Tabachnick. “And therefore, they must reclaim them for God in order to bring about the kingdom of God on Earth. … The apostles teach what’s called ‘strategic level spiritual warfare’ [because they believe that the] reason why there is sin and corruption and poverty on the Earth is because the Earth is controlled by a hierarchy of demons under the authority of Satan. So they teach not just evangelizing souls one by one, as we’re accustomed to hearing about. They teach that they will go into a geographic region or a people group and conduct spiritual-warfare activities in order to remove the demons from the entire population. This is what they’re doing that’s quite fundamentally different than other evangelical groups.”
Rick Perry’s Rally
The organizers of Perry’s rally were from ministries founded by two apostles/prophets of the movement — The Call, and the International House of Prayer founded by Mike Bickle. Bickle, who led part of Perry’s event, has claimed that Oprah Winfrey is a precursor of the Antichrist, and Engle has claimed that gay people are controlled by “demonic spirits.” Both have served on the Council of Prophetic Elders initiated by Wagner.

[By Pastor Chuck Baldwin]
I’ve been an evangelical Christian since I was a child. I’ve been in the Gospel ministry all of my adult life. I attended two evangelical Christian colleges, received honorary degrees from two others, and taught and preached in several others. I’ve attended many of the largest evangelical pastors’ gatherings and have been privileged to speak at Christian gatherings–large and small–all over America. I have been part of the inner workings of evangelical ministry for nearly 40 years. I think I learned a thing or two about evangelical/fundamentalist Christianity in America. And I’m here to tell you: I don’t like what I see happening these days!
Let’s get this straight right out of the gate: nothing touched by man can be perfect, because none of us is perfect. There is no perfect church, perfect school, perfect mission board, perfect Sunday School class, perfect pastor, perfect deacon, or perfect Christian. Until the afterlife, we are all yet encased in Adamic flesh, complete with human weaknesses and imperfections. And only the Pharisaical among us are too proud to admit it.
That said, I do think it is more than fair to say that, historically, Christians have always attempted to be–and have always publicly taught the importance of being–peacemakers. Historically, Christians have preached–and tried to practice–love and brotherhood. The early church was born in a baptism of love and unity. Oh sure, there were always individual misunderstandings and differences, but, on the whole, the church was a loving, caring, compassionate ecclesia.
Mind you, Christians historically were not afraid or ashamed to defend themselves, their families, and their country. The Lord Jesus, Himself (the Prince of Peace), allowed His disciples to carry personal defense weapons (see Luke 22:36,38). Yes, while some Christian sects were conscientious pacifists, these were the exception, not the rule. The vast majority of Christian believers understood the Biblical, Natural Law principle of self-defense. But believing in the right of lawful, God-ordained self-defense was never to be confused with warmongering.
So, what has happened to turn the most peace-loving institution the world has ever known (the New Testament church) into the biggest cheerleaders for war? I’m talking about un-provoked, illegal, unconstitutional, unbiblical–even secret–wars of aggression. The biggest cheerleaders for the unprovoked, unconstitutional, pre-emptive attack and invasion of Iraq were evangelical Christians. Ditto for the war in Afghanistan, the bombing of Libya, the attacks in Yemen, etc. Who is calling for the bombing of Iran? Evangelical Christians. Who cheers for sending more and more troops all over the world to maim and kill more and more people (including innocents)? Evangelical Christians. Shoot (pun intended)! Most evangelical Christians didn’t even bat an eye when the federal government sent military and police personnel to murder American citizens, including old men, women, and children–Christian old men, women, and children, no less–outside Waco, Texas.
And where are today’s evangelical Christians giving a second thought regarding their fellow Christian brothers and sisters in many of these Middle Eastern countries that are being persecuted, imprisoned, tortured, and killed by the puppet regimes being put in power by the US government–at US taxpayer (including Christian taxpayer) expense? I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but more Christians have been persecuted under the US-imposed regime in Iraq than were ever persecuted when Saddam Hussein was in power. Oh! And don’t forget that it was the US government that was responsible for putting Saddam Hussein in power to begin with. The US government set up Osama bin Laden, too. But I digress.
In addition to the “white” wars (the ones everyone knows about), the US government authorizes some 70 black ops commando raids in some 120 countries EVERY DAY. In fact, the secret, black ops military of the US is so large today it now totals more personnel than the ENTIRE MILITARY OF CANADA!
A recent report noted, “In 120 countries across the globe, troops from Special Operations Command carry out their secret war of high-profile assassinations, low-level targeted killings, capture/kidnap operations, kick-down-the-door night raids, joint operations with foreign forces, and training missions with indigenous partners as part of a shadowy conflict unknown to most Americans. Once ‘special’ for being small, lean, outsider outfits, today they are special for their power, access, influence, and aura.”
To see the complete report of America’s secret wars, go to:
Yet, how much of this knowledge would even faze the average evangelical Christian today? All we hear from today’s “churches” is “bomb,” “attack,” “wipe them out,” etc. Then, at the same time, they get all emotional about sending missionaries to the same countries that they had just cheered-on the US military in raining down missiles of death and destruction upon (to bring salvation to the lucky ones that weren’t killed, I suppose).
And who are the ones that belittle and impugn Ron Paul? Evangelical Christians. Why? Because he tells the truth about America’s foreign policy being responsible for much of the hatred and bitterness erupting in foreign countries against us. I guarantee you that many of the “conservative” Republicans who booed Dr. Paul’s comments to this regard at the GOP Presidential debate this week would identify themselves as evangelical Christians.
See the report at:
And here is my post on this very same point:
The disciples of our Lord were called “Christians” first by the Gentiles of Antioch, because of the manner in which the disciples reminded them of Christ’s nature and teachings. I never thought I would hear myself say what I’m about to say, but the truth is, the term “Christian” today means anything but Christ-like. To many people today, “Christian” refers to some warmongering, mean-spirited, throw-anyone-to-the-wolves-who-crosses-them person, who then has the audacity to look down their nose in contempt against anyone who disagrees with them for even the smallest reason. And the word “church” has the stigma of being simply an enclave of warmongers to many people today. And that, my friends, is one reason so many people are so turned off with today’s Christianity. And I can’t say that I blame them. I’m turned off too!
Am I a pacifist? Absolutely not! Do I believe an individual, a family, a community, or a nation has the right to protect and defend itself? I absolutely do! And the fellow who breaks into my home or who attacks my loved ones will personally discover I believe that! But this blind support for illegal, immoral, unconstitutional war is anything but Christian. Not only is it turning people against our country among people abroad, it is turning our own countrymen against the Christ we Christians claim to love right here at home.
I dare say that the modern Warfare State would grind to a screeching halt tomorrow if evangelical Christians would simply stop supporting it! And the thing that most evangelical Christians fail to realize is that the Warfare State is one of the primary tools that the evil one is using to usher in his devilish New World Order that even babes in Christ know to be of Satan. Hence, Christians are helping to promote the very thing that Satan, himself, is using to enslave them.
Yes, I’ve been an evangelical Christian for most of my life and an evangelical pastor for all of my adult life. And if we Christians do not quickly repent of this bloodlust that seems to dominate evangelical Christianity today (spiritually and militarily), the word that was first used by un-churched Gentiles to describe Christ’s followers will be used as a curse-word to describe those who facilitated the ruination of our country.
