Psalm 26

A Psalm of David

1 Judge me, Yahweh, for I have walked in my integrity. I have trusted also in Yahweh without wavering.
2 Examine me, Yahweh, and prove me. Try my heart and my mind.
3 For your loving kindness is before my eyes. I have walked in your truth.
4 I have not sat with deceitful men, neither will I go in with hypocrites.
5 I hate the assembly of evildoers, and will not sit with the wicked.
6 I will wash my hands in innocence, so I will go about your altar, Yahweh;
7 that I may make the voice of thanksgiving to be heard, and tell of all your wondrous works.
8 Yahweh, I love the habitation of your house, the place where your glory dwells.
9 Don’t gather my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men;
10 in whose hands is wickedness, their right hand is full of bribes.
11 But as for me, I will walk in my integrity. Redeem me, and be merciful to me.
12 My foot stands in an even place. In the congregations I will bless Yahweh. By David.

[WordPOWER!] 1 Timothy 6 — "Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold of the eternal life to which you were called." "Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be haughty, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches…"

1 Timothy 6

3 If anyone teaches a different doctrine, and doesn’t consent to sound words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness, 4 he is conceited, knowing nothing, but obsessed with arguments, disputes, and word battles, from which come envy, strife, insulting, evil suspicions, 5 constant friction of people of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. Withdraw yourself from such. 6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out. 8 But having food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9 But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

11 But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses. 13 I command you before God, who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate testified the good confession, 14 that you keep the commandment without spot, blameless, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ; 15 which in its own times he will show, who is the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; 16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light; whom no man has seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and eternal power. Amen.

17 Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be haughty, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy; 18 that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate; 19 laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life.

20 Timothy, guard that which is committed to you, turning away from the empty chatter and oppositions of the knowledge which is falsely so called; 21 which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.

[WordPOWER!] 1 Timothy 4:1 — "The Spirit says expressly that IN LATER TIMES some will FALL AWAY from the faith, paying attention to SEDUCING SPIRITS and DOCTRINES OF DEMONS"

1 Timothy 4

1 But the Spirit says expressly that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 through the hypocrisy of men who speak lies, branded in their own conscience as with a hot iron; 3 forbidding marriage and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, if it is received with thanksgiving. 5 For it is sanctified through the word of God and prayer.

[WordPOWER!] John 3:16 Means What?? 3:21, 36 show that 'BELIEVE' means OBEY — "He who DOES the TRUTH comes to the light, that HIS WORKS may be REVEALED, that they have been DONE IN GOD."

John 3

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. 18 He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God. 19 This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does evil hates the light, and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.”

22 After these things, Jesus came with his disciples into the land of Judea. He stayed there with them, and baptized. 23 John also was baptizing in Enon near Salim, because there was much water there. They came, and were baptized. 24 For John was not yet thrown into prison.

25 There arose therefore a questioning on the part of John’s disciples with some Jews about purification. 26 They came to John, and said to him, “Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified, behold, the same baptizes, and everyone is coming to him.” 27 John answered, “A man can receive nothing, unless it has been given him from heaven. 28 You yourselves testify that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent before him.’ 29 He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. This, my joy, therefore is made full. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

31 He who comes from above is above all. He who is from the Earth belongs to the Earth, and speaks of the Earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. 32 What he has seen and heard, of that he testifies; and no one receives his witness. 33 He who has received his witness has set his seal to this, that God is true. 34 For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure. 35 The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand. 36 One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys the Son won’t see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”

Let’s listen.

Psalm 37

World English Bible

1 Don’t fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness.

2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb.

3 Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land [abide in Christ], and enjoy safe pasture.

4 Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this:

6 he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun.

7 Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him. Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen.

8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath. Don’t fret, it leads only to evildoing.

9 For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for Yahweh shall inherit the land.

10 For yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more. Yes, though you look for his place, he isn’t there.

11 But the humble shall inherit the land, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12 The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth.

13 The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming.

14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who are upright in the way.

15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart. Their bows shall be broken.

16 Better is a little that the righteous has, than the abundance of many wicked.

17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but Yahweh upholds the righteous.

18 Yahweh knows the days of the perfect. Their inheritance shall be forever.

19 They shall not be disappointed in the time of evil. In the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

20 But the wicked shall perish. The enemies of Yahweh shall be like the beauty of the fields. They will vanish– vanish like smoke.

21 The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously.

22 For such as are blessed by him shall inherit the land. Those who are cursed by him shall be cut off.

23 A man’s goings are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way.

24 Though he stumble, he shall not fall, for Yahweh holds him up with his hand.

25 I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread.

26 All day long he deals graciously, and lends. His seed is blessed.

27 Depart from evil, and do good. Live securely forever.

28 For Yahweh loves justice, and doesn’t forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.

29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and live in it forever.

30 The mouth of the righteous talks of wisdom. His tongue speaks justice.

31 The law of his God is in his heart. None of his steps shall slide.

32 The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to kill him.

33 Yahweh will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

34 Wait for Yahweh, and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land. When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.

35 I have seen the wicked in great power, spreading himself like a green tree in its native soil.

36 But he passed away, and behold, he was not. Yes, I sought him, but he could not be found.

37 Mark the perfect man, and see the upright, for there is a future for the man of peace.

38 As for transgressors, they shall be destroyed together. The future of the wicked shall be cut off.

39 But the salvation of the righteous is from Yahweh. He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.

40 Yahweh helps them, and rescues them. He rescues them from the wicked, and saves them, Because they have taken refuge in him. A Psalm by David, for a memorial.

[WordPOWER!] Jesus in Matthew 10:34-38 — Don't let relatives keep you from taking up your cross and following Christ — "A man's foes will be those of his own household. He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more…."

Matthew 10

34 “Don’t think that I came to send peace on the earth. I didn’t come to send peace, but a sword. 35 For I came to set a man at odds against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 A man’s foes will be those of his own household.

37 He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me isn’t worthy of me. 38 He who doesn’t take his cross and follow after me, isn’t worthy of me. 39 He who seeks his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.

[WordPOWER!] David in Psalm 38: "…neither is there any HEALTH in my bones because of my sin. … Those who SEEK MY HURT…meditate deceits ALL DAY LONG. … Those who HATE ME WITHOUT REASON…render evil for good…BECAUSE I FOLLOW WHAT IS GOOD." — Check your HEART. Are you one of the James-3 cursers?

I awoke, hearing “Psalm 38,” again. This has happened to me before.
I get cursed a lot, what I call James-3 cursing, when its from ‘Christians.’ And unless we forgive everyone, 100% from our whole hearts the arrows have a right to pierce us, which Jesus describes in Matthew 18:

Jesus on forgiving to be free from demons in Matthew 18: “So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you don’t each forgive your brother from your HEARTS for his misdeeds.”

[WordPOWER!] 1 John 4 “Perfect Love Casts Out Fear” means us perfectly loving, not us perfectly accepting His love for us (as is commonly taught). Let’s love perfectly!

So the problem is us and them. We can pray for them, which helps us and them:

I’ve finally shared much of what I know about and what can be done through the TREMENDOUS and mostly misunderstood and underused gift of tongues…

But what should even be more important in our thinking is to totally release and forgive — and perfectly love. And at this point, hardly anyone, including myself seems to be able to walk in this 24/7.
I was just reading this, which I think is another huge key.

Holiness Will Excise Darkness — Many will follow and run from iniquity when you are holy, when your sights are set on Me, up, where they belong.

God allows us to be cursed, which often even causes illnesses,  so we get fed up with being tormented, so we learn to walk in total love, where perfect love casts out fear.
It’s hard to walk in perfect love when there is so much hate and anger coming our way — if and when we stand up for righteousness in the mostly dark days we are in. But are warfare is not against people who are actually demon driven to hate and attack us, ‘Christians’ James-3 cursing brothers and sisters in the Lord.
We’re living in a dark period, but many will follow and run from iniquity when we are holy…!
Power to the peaceful! Peace starts with us!
I’ll comment on David’s Psalm 38 via highlighting and putting comments in brackets.

Psalm 38

1 Yahweh, don’t rebuke me in your wrath, neither chasten me in your hot displeasure. [Notice how the Lord was angry in Mt. 18 when the servant wouldn’t forgive. God can get angry with us when we willfully withhold love no matter what revisionist pastors say]

2 For your arrows have pierced me, your hand presses hard on me. [God disciplines those He loves, being His sons and daughters. It appears that the “arrows” are evil spirits (Mt. 18 ‘tormentors’) allowed to affect us until we walk in perfect love, not giving them a right to enter. Evil spirits can actually grab body parts, which could feel like pressure. Look at the source of these arrows which David shows starting in verse 12 — the hate and anger, the James-3 cursing!]

3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of your indignation, neither is there any health in my bones because of my sin.

4 For my iniquities have gone over my head. As a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.

5 My wounds are loathsome and corrupt, because of my foolishness.

6 I am pained and bowed down greatly. I go mourning all day long.

7 For my waist is filled with burning. There is no soundness in my flesh.

8 I am faint and severely bruised. I have groaned by reason of the anguish of my heart.

9 Lord, all my desire is before you. My groaning is not hidden from you.

10 My heart throbs. My strength fails me. As for the light of my eyes, it has also left me.

11 My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my plague. My kinsmen stand far away.

12 They also who seek after my life lay snares. Those who seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and meditate deceits all day long.

13 But I, as a deaf man, don’t hear. I am as a mute man who doesn’t open his mouth.

14 Yes, I am as a man who doesn’t hear, in whose mouth are no reproofs.

15 For in you, Yahweh, do I hope. You will answer, Lord my God.

16 For I said, “Don’t let them gloat over me, or exalt themselves over me when my foot slips.”

17 For I am ready to fall. My pain is continually before me.

18 For I will declare my iniquity. I will be sorry for my sin.

19 But my enemies are vigorous and many. Those who hate me without reason are numerous.

20 They who also render evil for good are adversaries to me, because I follow what is good.

21 Don’t forsake me, Yahweh. My God, don’t be far from me.

22 Hurry to help me, Lord, my salvation. For the Chief Musician. For Jeduthun. A Psalm by David.

[WordPower!] Philippians 2: Loving Others More than Ourselves to Love Others as Much? The Greatest Key to Forgiving & Holiness?

[WordPOWER!] 1 John 4 "Perfect Love Casts Out Fear" means us perfectly loving, not us perfectly accepting His love for us (as is commonly taught). Let's love perfectly to be free!

It’s amazing how many passages are currently being taught out of context. Most pastors, today, teach this passage to mean that if we still have fear it’s because we’re not fully accepting God’s perfect love. But John was clearly talking about us perfectly loving one another. Then we won’t have fear.
When we’re right with God and all people the demons have no right to torment us, and our consciences don’t condemn us — when perfect love casts out all fear!
Because when we don’t love others perfectly (or are not completely loving and forgiving one another from our whole heart — Mt. 18) then we’re not totally right with God, and God will allow us to be punished via the tormentors (Mt. 18). The curses have a right to stick (Eph. 4:26-27).

[WordPower!] Jesus on forgiving to be free from demons in Matthew 18: “So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you don’t each forgive your brother from your HEARTS for his misdeeds.”

John is clearly talking about us loving completely, not the other way around. Look at what is highlighted in blue.

1 John 4

7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God. 8 He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love. 9 By this God’s love was revealed in us, that God has sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. 14 We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as the Savior of the world.

15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God. 16 We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. 17 In this love has been made perfect among us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as he is, even so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us. 20 If a man says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn’t love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? 21 This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother.

New Covenant:

1 Peter 1

22 Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently: 23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever.

NOTE: The NIV leaves out “through the Spirit.”

[WordPower!] Jesus on forgiving to be free from demons in Matthew 18: "So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you don't each forgive your brother from your HEARTS for his misdeeds."

Matthew 18:

21 Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I don’t tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven [The NIV makes it easier, lowering 490 times to “seventy seven times” – editor].

23 Therefore the Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who wanted to reconcile accounts with his servants. 24 When he had begun to reconcile, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. 25 But because he couldn’t pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, with his wife, his children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. 26 The servant therefore fell down and kneeled before him, saying, ‘Lord, have patience with me, and I will repay you all!’ 27 The lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.

28 “But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, who owed him one hundred denarii, and he grabbed him, and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’ 29 “So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will repay you!’ 30 He would not, but went and cast him into prison, until he should pay back that which was due. 31 So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were exceedingly sorry, and came and told to their lord all that was done. 32 Then his lord called him in, and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt, because you begged me. 33 Shouldn’t you also have had mercy on your fellow servant, even as I had mercy on you?’ 34 His lord was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors [demons (Eph. 4:26-27) — NIV just says jailers – editor] until he should pay all that was due to him.

35 So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you don’t each forgive your brother from your hearts for his misdeeds.”

When we won’t from our hearts fully forgive:
In a sense, we actually from our hearts cast our ‘enemies’ into a prison (verse 30). In our way of thinking (or feeling) we’re taking justice into our own hands. We won’t let them be free until they get fully right with us for whatever misdeeds they committed.
This literally makes God “angry” (verse 34), when we won’t love everyone no matter what. Unforgiveness grieves the Holy Spirit, because He loves these people that we won’t. And we’re the Bible they read. We represent Him.
Demons are Discipline:
It is then God’s will to allow the demons to torment us so we greatly dislike how it feels, enough so we repent to then fully walk in love. Then perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4) = FREEeeeeeeee———–DOM!!!!!!
What is ironic is that those who mistreat us are themselves tormented by evil spirits. It’s the evil spirits that drive them to hurt us — and it’s the demons in us that drive us to withhold forgiveness.
Our warfare [really] is not against flesh and blood….” It’s demons in them verses demons in us.
We can break the cycle. “Those who are led by the Spirit are the children of God.” Not those who are demon-led to not forgive. We need to seek out and eagerly submit to and follow the still, small voice of the Prince of Peace inside of us — not heeding at all, and even excising the voices that cause strife.
Our hearts should be so soft.
When they hurt us, no problem — “Father, forgive them; they know not what they do.” “Bless them that curse you.” And Romans 12:

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless, and don’t curse.

15 Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Don’t set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Don’t be wise in your own conceits.

17 Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.

19 Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, “Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.”

20 Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.”

21 Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

This is so cool! And is so the opposite of how most US ‘Christians’ reacted to 9/11. And look at the police state being set up against us as a result. But we can still be free inside, where it counts most.
Forgiveness really isn’t an option. That should be our [I absolutely include myself] mindset. Forgiving should be our way of LIFE! It’s a major part of doing the Second Greatest Commandment: loving our neighbor as ourselves.
Let’s love one another. People are so special — every single one — no matter how demonized. “Father, forgive them; they know not what they do.” Let’s give everyone the benefit of the doubt. It’s not our job to judge them, to determine to withhold love from.
Let’s show the world that we care.
And this will help us be ONE. Then the world will know (John 17).
Bless you!

Acts 5

1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira, his wife, sold a possession, 2 and kept back part of the price, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet. 3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back part of the price of the land? 4 While you kept it, didn’t it remain your own? After it was sold, wasn’t it in your power? How is it that you have conceived this thing in your heart? You haven’t lied to men, but to God.” 5 Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and died. Great fear came on all who heard these things. 6 The young men arose and wrapped him up, and they carried him out and buried him.

7 About three hours later, his wife, not knowing what had happened, came in. 8 Peter answered her, “Tell me whether you sold the land for so much.” She said, “Yes, for so much.” 9 But Peter asked her, “How is it that you have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.” 10 She fell down immediately at his feet, and died. The young men came in and found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her by her husband. 11 Great fear came on the whole assembly, and on all who heard these things.

12 By the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. They were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch. 13 None of the rest dared to join them, however the people honored them. 14 More believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women. 15 They even carried out the sick into the streets, and laid them on cots and mattresses, so that as Peter came by, at the least his shadow might overshadow some of them. 16 Multitudes also came together from the cities around Jerusalem, bringing sick people, and those who were tormented by unclean spirits: and they were all healed.

What is the key ingredient that we’re missing so ONE was happening in “the assemblies throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria?”
They were “walking in the fear of the Lord” — the missing ingredient in today’s ‘church.’
Therefore, because they were walking in the fear of the Lord they had peace, were built up, were multiplied, walking in the comfort of the Holy Spirit (John 14-16, 2 Cor. 1).
“The fear of the Lord” is the beginning of wisdom.
We don’t even have the beginning of wisdom, so ONE can’t happen, Jesus’ prayer for all believers in John 17.
So please, let us embrace the Word of God, what it really says: Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way | Who are the Children of God?
And let’s be ONE, having peace, being built up and multiplied, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.

My comments on the left and in the text, within brackets

James 3 [WEB]:

1 Let not many of you be teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive heavier judgment. 2 For in many things we all stumble. If anyone doesn’t stumble in word, the same is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body also. 3 Indeed, we put bits into the horses’ mouths so that they may obey us, and we guide their whole body. 4 Behold, the ships also, though they are so big and are driven by fierce winds, are yet guided by a very small rudder, wherever the pilot desires.

According to James, when ‘Christians’ wish evil on people they’re clearly driven by Hell, itself.

5 So the tongue is also a little member, and boasts great things. See how a small fire can spread to a large forest! 6 And the tongue is a fire. The world of iniquity among our members is the tongue, which defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature, and is set on fire by Gehenna [HELL – KJV]. 7 For every kind of animal, bird, creeping thing, and thing in the sea, is tamed, and has been tamed by mankind. 8 But nobody can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

A spring can either produce fresh or bitter water — not both. ‘Christians’ can’t curse people and also bless God in Spirit and in truth. Such ‘Christians’ are hypocrites (v. 17).

9 With it we [‘Christians’ – ed.] bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who are made in the image of God. 10 Out of the same mouth comes forth blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. 11 Does a spring send out from the same opening fresh and bitter water? 12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water.

When ‘Christians’ have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in their hearts, this isn’t from the Holy Spirit, but demons.

13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition IN YOUR HEART, don’t boast and don’t lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom is NOT that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and DEMONIC. 16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Jesus in Matthew 5:

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.

————

It’s also interesting how jealousy is in Paul’s who-does-NOT-go-to-heaven list in Galatians 5. James calls it bitter jealousy, which is probably also the case in Paul’s list.
And hatred is a key component to James-3-cursing.

19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, 21 envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

And Paul’s who-goes-to-heaven list, that follows, is very similar in terminology to what James says in verses 17 and 18 of James 3.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

[WordPOWER!] I woke up today hearing "Psalm 19": Clean, Beaming, Shining … Free! Whereas Willful Sins Put Out Our Light — Separating the Body from Christ and Each Other!

Today, I woke up hearing “Psalm 19.” I thought I’d share it with you all.
From the Textus Receptus based and royalty free World English Bible:

Psalm 19

A main reason I like photography so much!

1 The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork.

2 Day after day they pour forth speech, and night after night they display knowledge.

3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

4 Their voice has gone out through all the earth, their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,

5 which is as a bridegroom coming out of his room, like a strong man rejoicing to run his course.

6 His going forth is from the end of the heavens, his circuit to its ends; There is nothing hidden from its heat.

The world says do what feels good. Satan says “do what thou wilt.” But life, joy and actual internal freedom from demons comes from obeying our Lord, being led by the Holy Spirit, the law that is now written in our hearts.

7 Yahweh’s law is perfect, restoring the soul. Yahweh’s testimony is sure, making wise the simple.

8 Yahweh’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart. Yahweh’s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes.

It’s amazing how probably the majority of preachers today say we no longer need to fear God, but how clean then are these preachers? Neglecting this detergent that Paul did clearly teach is destroying our land and many are perishing, forever.
For if the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, what do we have since we’ve discarded it?

Remove the fear of the Lord and remove wisdom, the cleanser that is supposed to keep us clean.

9 The fear of Yahweh is clean, enduring forever. Yahweh’s ordinances are true, and righteous altogether.

Our number one pursuit, our main focus should be righteousness with God and all people.

10 More to be desired are they than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the extract of the honeycomb.

11 Moreover by them is your servant warned. In keeping them there is great reward.

This reminds me of Hebrews 10:26-34 (For if we sin willfully…), which I explain in Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way. We’re in big trouble with God if we get presumptuous and willfully sin sins that we know dishonor God and people. From these we must repent in order to be righteous before God. The “fear of the Lord” detergent should keep our hearts clean.
…while David then asks to be forgiven from errors that are hidden from him, that he isn’t fully aware of. It’s the willful sins that people knowingly do that have deadly consequences.

12 Who can discern his errors? Forgive me from hidden errors.

13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous* sins. Let them not have dominion over me. Then I will be upright. I will be blameless and innocent of great transgression.

14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer.

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.

[WordPOWER!] In Psalm 50 God Warns: "You have done these things, and I kept silent. You thought that I was just like you. … Now consider this…lest I tear you into pieces and there be none to deliver" (Hell?)

Praise God for giving us His Holy Spirit, Who will “lead us into all truth”—if we listen carefully, wanting to hear His “still, small voice.”

On occasion, while thinking of whatever, I’ll softly hear a chapter and a verse, or just a chapter, and I almost always find the text significant.

‘Psalm 50’ is one of those quiet promptings that I’ve heard a number of times, years ago, and kept looking it up each time. I’m still learning from it.

Two things struck me as significant each time I read it. The first related to the people who consider themselves children of God and who James-3 curse other people. I knew this was happening to me every day. Psalm 50 helped me understand that some of these James-3 cursers actually think God condones their behavior. But the reality is that if they don’t repent before they die, they’ll end up in a place of extreme torment from which no one will be able to deliver them. During the funeral, the pastor will probably say they are in heaven, but in reality, they’re being torn to pieces (v. 22), or something even worse!

I had a prophecy for a pastor who really had an evil part to his heart (many do in this evil age). The word was that the flames would be neck high if he didn’t repent and do what God said.

Psalm 50 is part of the old covenant, where God winked at behavior in comparison to what He holds us accountable for now, because now we know better; we have the Counselor, the Holy Spirit to “lead us into all truth!” Paul said in Acts 17:30:

“And the times of this ignorance (old covenant) God winked at; but now (new covenant) commandeth all men every where to repent.”

Jesus also taught that the new covenant is far stricter than the old saying in the sermons of the mount, Mt. 5:

21 “You have heard that it was said to the ancient ones, ‘You shall not murder;’ and ‘Whoever shall murder shall be in danger of the judgment.’ 22 But I tell you, that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment…; and whoever shall say, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of the fire of Gehenna.

27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery;’ 28 but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her…. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna.

And even though Psalm 50 is old covenant, when God “winked at” sin in comparison to now, people who thought they were covered with the blood were actually headed for eternal torment simply for saying deceitful and slanderous things!

2 Peter 3: BEWARE, in the LAST DAYS People Will Be WILLINGLY IGNORANT

<< 2 Peter 3 >>
KJV

1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: 2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. 15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; 16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. 17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. 18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

The Sahara Version

Paul thought of it this way: “consider others better than yourselves.”

Philippians 2:1 If there is therefore any exhortation in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassion, 2 make my joy full, by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind; 3 doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself; 4 each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others. 5 Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, existing in the form of God, didn’t consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, yes, the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also highly exalted him….

12 So then, my beloved, even as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling [by obeying in this way]. 13 For it is God who works in you [the Holy Spirit enables us to love others unconditionally from our heart] both to will and to work, for his good pleasure.

Is this perhaps also one of the greatest keys to being safe to not fall from grace, regarding salvation—because we always consider others better—so we succeed at loving each other as much—fulfilling the second greatest commandment?!!!

[WordPOWER!] Mark 2: It's not just a head thing — we must be clean deep within

The heart is more than a pump. Science is just now proving this; though, the Bible speaks of the heart about 1,000 times in its emotional, even thought originating role.
Here, Jesus specifically shows the fault-finding doubters that their ‘reasoning’ was happening “in their hearts”—in their innermost being.
Deep down must be clean too. Evil can originate from deep within. Understanding what’s going on there is a huge key to being free.
It’s Biblical to make sure our hearts are pure — not just our heads.
Mark 2:

1 When he [Jesus] entered again into Capernaum after some days, it was heard that he was in the house. 2 Immediately many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even around the door; and he spoke the word to them. 3 Four people came, carrying a paralytic to him. 4 When they could not come near to him for the crowd, they removed the roof where he was. When they had broken it up, they let down the mat that the paralytic was lying on.

5 Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.” 6 But there were some of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, 7 “Why does this man speak blasphemies like that? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” 8 Immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, said to them, “Why do you reason these things in your hearts? 9 Which is easier, to tell the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven;’ or to say, ‘Arise, and take up your bed, and walk?’

10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”–he said to the paralytic– 11 “I tell you, arise, take up your mat, and go to your house.” 12 He arose, and immediately took up the mat, and went out in front of them all; so that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”

[WordPOWER!] 2 Timothy 3: In the Last Days, PERILOUS Times Will Come — But "We Will OVERCOME!"*

* Note: when I write something that I believe I’m hearing from God, I’m trying to consistently put parenthesis around it. So if parenthesis pop up as if out of the blue in something I write somewhere on either of these blogs, this is probably why. And in most cases, I won’t explain why.

Often, when this happens, what I hear is much stronger and/or more direct, or even far different from what I would have said on my own.

And this isn’t super-freaky. This should happen to many of us. This is normal. These are just words I subtly hear that I know I’m not making up, and they make sense—which should always be the case if we’re not walking in willful sin, giving the demons a place.

Often, these phrases are conditional. Here, I would assume that those of us who ‘overcome’ (in the title, above) must be part of the ‘we’ — willing to walk in love, together — doing whatever it takes. ONE in Him, “life eternal”!!!

Freedom!

2 Timothy 3

1 But know this, that in the last days, grievous [‘perilous’ – KJV] times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; 5 holding a form of godliness, but having denied its power.
10 But you did follow my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, steadfastness, 11 persecutions, and sufferings: those things that happened to me at Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. I endured those persecutions. Out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
14 But you remain in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them. 15 From infancy, you have known the holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus. 16 Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

[WordPOWER!] Romans 12: Repay No One Evil for Evil — Don't Curse — Give Place to God's Wrath

We need to fully trust that God will deal with people totally fairly at the appropriate time.
It’s serious sin for us to step into His vengeance shoes that only fit Him, being all knowing and totally just!
It’s not our job to withhold forgiveness or to wish evil on anyone!

Romans 12:

God’s Remedy for James-3 Cursing & Partysville in Today’s Church is James 4 — Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts. Let your laughter be turned to mourning… Humble yourselves and He will exalt you!

James 4 — Partysville and James-3 Curses’ Remedy:

1 Where do wars and fightings among you [speaking to Christians] come from? Don’t they come from your pleasures that war in your members? 2 You lust, and don’t have. You kill [James just got done talking about ‘Christians’ cursing Christians, which is like killing — anyone who hates his brother is a murderer], covet, and can’t obtain. You fight and make war [James showed in chapter 3 that ‘Christians’ were cursing Christians from their hearts (v. 14). Text below].

You don’t have, because you don’t ask. 3 You ask, and don’t receive [opposite of 1 John 5:14-15], because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures.

4 You adulterers and adulteresses [adultery = lusting in the heart (Mt. 5)], don’t you know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. 5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who lives in us yearns jealously“?

6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

7 Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Lament, mourn, and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy [partysville joy, not fruit-of-the-Holy-Spirit joy] to gloom.

10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you.

James 1 helps us understand James 3

1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are in the Dispersion: Greetings. 2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed. 7 For let that man not think that he will receive anything from the Lord. 8 He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

9 But let the brother in humble circumstances glory in his high position; 10 and the rich, in that he is made humble, because like the flower in the grass, he will pass away. 11 For the sun arises with the scorching wind, and withers the grass, and the flower in it falls, and the beauty of its appearance perishes. So also will the rich man fade away in his pursuits.

12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to those who love him. 13 Let no man say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God,” for God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. 14 But each one is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin; and the sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death. 16 Don’t be deceived, my beloved brothers. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow. 18 Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.

19 So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; 20 for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God. 21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom, and continues, not being a hearer who forgets, but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.

26 If anyone among you thinks himself to be religious while he doesn’t bridle his tongue, but deceives his heart, this man’s religion is worthless. 27 Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

* * *

James 3 — Blessing and Cursing?

1 Let not many of you be teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive heavier judgment. 2 For in many things we all stumble. If anyone doesn’t stumble in word, the same is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body also. 3 Indeed, we put bits into the horses’ mouths so that they may obey us, and we guide their whole body. 4 Behold, the ships also, though they are so big and are driven by fierce winds, are yet guided by a very small rudder, wherever the pilot desires. 5 So the tongue is also a little member, and boasts great things. See how a small fire can spread to a large forest! 6 And the tongue is a fire. The world of iniquity among our members is the tongue, which defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature, and is set on fire by Gehenna. 7 For every kind of animal, bird, creeping thing, and thing in the sea, is tamed, and has been tamed by mankind. 8 But nobody can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. 9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who are made in the image of God.

Wisdom from Above

[WordPOWER!] Matthew 13: Withhold Nothing to Obtain the Kingdom of Heaven

Matthew 13:

36 Then Jesus sent the multitudes away, and went into the house. His disciples came to him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the darnel weeds of the field.” 37 He answered them, “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man, 38 the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the children of the Kingdom; and the darnel weeds are the children of the evil one. 39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. 40 As therefore the darnel weeds are gathered up and burned with fire; so will it be at the end of this age. 41 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and those who do iniquity, 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and the gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine forth like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

44 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found, and hid. In his joy, he goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field.

45 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a merchant seeking fine pearls, 46 who having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

47 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a dragnet, that was cast into the sea, and gathered some fish of every kind, 48 which, when it was filled, they drew up on the beach. They sat down, and gathered the good into containers, but the bad they threw away. 49 So will it be in the end of the world. The angels will come forth, and separate the wicked from among the righteous, 50 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.”

[WordPOWER!] Better to Be a Poor Man than a Liar — Getting Treasure by Lying is a Fleeting Vapor, the Pursuit of Death

From: Stand to Reason — Principles of Successful Business from Proverbs

DISHONESTY OFFENDS GOD:

( 11:1 ) A false balance* is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight.

( 20:23 ) Differing weights are an abomination to the Lord, and a false scale is not good.

( 16:11 ) A just balance and scales belong to the Lord, all the weights of the bag are his concern.

( 20:10 ) Differing weights and differing measures, both of them are abominable to the Lord.

DISHONESTY is BAD BUSINESS:

( 10:2a ) Ill-gotten gains do not profit.

( 13:11a ) Wealth obtained by fraud dwindles.

( 15:27a ) He who profits illicitly troubles his own house.

( 19:22b ) It is better to be a poor man than a liar….

( 20:17 ) Bread obtained by falsehood is sweet to a man, but afterward his mouth will be filled with gravel.

( 21:6 ) The getting of treasure by a lying tongue is a fleeting vapor, the pursuit of death.

( 28:16b ) He who hates unjust gain will prolong his days.

From: RickCreighton.com — Dishonesty – Proverbs 11v1

The LORD abhors dishonest scales, but accurate weights are his delight. The basic picture here is pretty straightforward. What you’ve got is a shopkeeper who uses a set of scales those old-fashioned scales. You know the balance-type ones, where you put the weights on one side and the food – or whatever you’re selling – on the other. And let’s say our shopkeeper is an Israelite shopkeeper, so he’s selling figs or olives or something. What he’ll do is he’ll charge you a certain amount per kilo. It’s just the same as supermarkets today – fruit and veg is still usually priced in pounds per kilo. Things haven’t changed much. Well, it might have been denariuses per shekel back then, but the principle is still the same.

Now if he’s a dodgy shopkeeper what he’ll do is he’ll make his set of weights too light. He’ll have these big weights that say 1 Kilo on them, but he’ll have made them slightly hollow or something. So you ask for kilo of figs, and you pay for a kilo of figs, and he pops the 1 Kilo weight on the scales, and it looks like he weighs out a kilo of figs – everything balances nicely. But actually you’re only getting 700 grams of figs. And, the proverb says, God hates it. He really hates it.

Now this is small-time dishonesty that’s being talked about here. It’s not international bank robbery or grand larceny. This is small, day to day stuff. Cheating someone when you do business with them. Certainly God hates big, huge, horrible crimes. But he hates little, small dishonesties too. In fact, the word “hates” almost isn’t strong enough – that’s why the NIV has the word “abhors” – it means absolutely and utterly hates. God hates dishonesty of any sort, big or small.
