My Favorite Phil Keaggy Song: "March of the Clouds" — The Ascent Towards Heaven!

I saw Phil Keaggy play “March of the Clouds” about 1/2 of my lifetime ago, and had the great pleasure of telling him that this song reminds me of heaven. He smiled and said something like: “really?”
To me, this marching of the clouds symphonic illustration also has a strong ascending quality, a rising up toward heaven, kind of like in The Spiral Staircase Vision, but with no lonely downside, because the body of Christ is marching up the staircase together, towards God as ONE unit — everyone right with each other and finally, truly ‘in Christ’ — each led by the Holy Spirit.
I don’t know what Phil was thinking when he wrote this song, but it’s interesting that he chose the image of clouds marching across the sky. For every cloud is a unique, one-of-a-kind, though the entire sky is often filled with clouds that are all moving in exactly the same direction, moving as if ONE.
Paul’s picture in 1 Corinthians 12 is similar. “You are the body of Christ” (v. 27) One is a foot, another is an eye, etc., each having different spiritual giftings. But “there should be no schism in the body” (v. 25a). We need each other to be able to march as ONE — in Christ, our Head.
Rick Joyner’s vision comes to mind: “When we reached the level called “The Unity of the Brethren,” none of the enemy’s arrows could reach us.”
ONE will happen, and it will be glorious!!

THE RED GATE PROPHECY – Michael Quintana.

I was awakened a few years ago by a disturbing dream I had one morning. The disturbing thing about this dream was that I had no idea where it came from, what it meant, and why I was shown this dream. There was no interpretation given me of what this dream meant which added frustration to my not knowing. The reality, intensity and urgency of this dream left me with many questions that were not immediately answered. The interpretation of this dream was given to me about two years later by God again but this time it was given to me through an extraordinary day vision. This dream had to do with me, California and the country.

The DREAM

It was early 2002 that this disturbing dream came to me while I was asleep one night. I was fast asleep when all of a sudden I woke up in the middle of nowhere in what looked to be the middle of the Central California valley. I recognized the valley because of the mountains east and west of me. I grew up in this Central California valley and I am very familiar with the surroundings. I was not scared but it was odd standing there in the middle of nowhere and not in my bedroom. This may seem odd but I felt wide awake like when I wake up every morning. The only difference was that my senses seemed to be on extra sensitive.

In fact I felt more awake, alert, and alive than when I wake up normally in my bedroom. I woke up into this incredible bright sunny beautiful day with the clearest clean air and a clearest blue sky I ever saw. I was standing on what seemed to be a greener than green oasis. I could clearly see the mountains in front of and behind me. This was just like when I was a child after a rain. I could clearly see the mountains on the east and west side of me. What caught my attention between me on the oasis and the mountains east and west of me were the miles and miles of this rich dark soiled dirt.

I then took notice that I was standing on the north side of this little green grassy oasis which was about two to 4 acres. Right at the edge of this green oasis just north of me was this big brighter than bright red gate. It was just standing on the outer edge of the greener than green oasis.

It was so odd to see this big red gate standing in front of me in the middle of nowhere. Everything looked like it belonged except this red gate. There was no fence or wall attached to this big bright red gate. It was just odd to see it standing there by itself.

I felt happiness and joy to be there in front of this big red gate. All of a sudden, I heard God’s voice out of nowhere. He then gave me very stern instructions. I knew this was God’s voice because I have heard his voice before and I know his voice. He said in a stern voice, “Mike, do not open the red gate”!

I ask my non-Christian friends to bear with me on this column. As one will quickly see, this column is addressed to my fellow Christian conservatives.

Regular readers of this column know that one of my chief frustrations is the way Christian conservatives (otherwise known as the “Religious Right”) are so easily deceived by Republican politicians. The all-time classic illustration of this foible is the way the Religious Right was (and is) so enamored with President George W. Bush. No matter what Bush did: no matter how egregiously unconstitutional, no matter how utterly stupid, no matter how blatantly evil his actions were, Christian conservatives (almost universally) either robotically accepted and approved what he did, or blindly looked the other way. It was maddening!

It was as if Christian conservatives lost all ability to reason; it was as if they lost all discernment and discretion. Because George W. Bush claimed to be a Christian, and because he was a Republican, he could do no wrong. To this very day, the only group of people who yet approves of Bush’s Presidency is the Religious Right. Everyone else on the planet realizes that George W. Bush’s Presidency will go down in history has one of the all-time worst.

George Bush took a prosperous and robust economy, and led America to the verge of a second Great Depression. He has taken a (relatively) free and independent republic to the brink of becoming a globalist Police State. He has pushed the envelope of executive power; he has trampled individual liberty; he has made a mockery of justice; and he has made America the laughingstock of the world. In addition, Bush has misused and abused our nation’s bravest and finest by his illegal and inexcusable invasion of Iraq. No matter. The Religious Right still loves him. Why? Because he is a “Christian” Republican.

Since 2000, James Dobson, Pensacola Christian College (PCC), and their peers around the country have had an eight-year lovefest with George W. Bush. …

So, George W. Bush clearly stated that he does not believe the Bible is God’s Holy, inspired Word. Will Dobson and PCC still say that Bush is “one of us”? …

I am confident, however, that Bush’s statements will do nothing to diminish his god-like status with James Dobson and the rest of the Religious Right in America. For eight long and bloody years, Christian conservatives have been selling their convictions, doctrines, and even their consciences to George W. Bush. I will even go so far as to say that, in many respects, millions of Christians have turned President Bush into an idol. …

Of course, Barack Obama will not escape the public repudiation of Dobson and Company. Why? He is a Democrat. You see, it’s not principle; it’s partisan politics that matters, after all.

While we are asking questions, when will our fellow Christians and pastors finally open their history books? When will they read the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence? And when will they open their minds and hearts–even a crack–to the possibility that they might have been duped, and that there is more to being elected to the office of President besides being a “Christian” Republican? Probably never.

Wow! Is this interesting, and very important!!
I don’t necessarily agree with the author’s conclusion, but the parts I’ve bolded ring totally true with what I’ve seen.
It’s time to let those who are truly called by God to lead, and for the others to not be jealous any more—but rather thankful, and submissive—so Jesus can be Lord, Head of His church—finally!!
This isn’t a competition, a sporting event for guys to be seen by men; or a contest of who can speak the best…. This isn’t a game! This is about God having His way, not man having theirs.
He has placed His gifts in the body as He determines. It is sin to place others in charge who are not specifically called by God to lead. And God makes it clear who these are. But the Sauls play dumb, for they would have to relinquish their power to God, Himself, if they put the Davids in charge—and maybe even admit that they’ve been wrong, and “get right with those they’ve hurt.”
Where is the fear of the Lord? It is written: “The Lord will judge His people.” [Heb. 10:30]
Finally, can we do it right this time? Pretty please?
Jesus, have Your way. You are King! Live through us!

ENRAGED Yet ANOINTED??

“And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied… And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah. And he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Wherefore they say, Is Saul also among the prophets?” (1 Sam 19).

The question has come up. Can a man of God operate in the flesh and yet have the blessing and anointing of God in their life? Can they display the workings of the Holy Spirit one time and operate like the devil himself at other times? Or worse yet, can the man of God or teacher or preacher speak with the Holy unction and at the very same time speak falsehood while under that unction?

King Saul was a man after the people’s own hearts. They had refused God’s desire and divine purpose which was to be their King and Lord personally. They wanted a man they could see and touch. One they could lavish their love and praise upon. God told Samuel to give them what they want. Give them their heart’s desire. But at the end of the day, they’d wish they had made a better decision. God even warned them about their folly in chapter 8.

Saul took his armies to battle and won victories right and left. God surely must be pleased with the ‘new program’, right? Wrong. It still wasn’t God’s perfect plan or purpose.

We have today, what I call, a ‘church gone wild’. Tithing, titles and tiers, and might I add, tears. Tears of those who are suffering under an abusive system of control, greed and arrogance. And yet God does tend to His out of sync flock in spite of 1700 years of ignoring the N.T. plan and mould for the ‘body elect’.

Even as Saul was NOT God’s desired progam, yet His helping hand remained upon Israel. In these few verses we read about a very evil, arrogant and envious man who God appointed over Israel only because of their rejection of God’s position in their midst.

The time did finally come when God said ‘enough is enough’. He was about to replace Saul with David, a man after His own heart. David was anointed and humble. Disinterested, only caring about what God wanted. This drove Saul nuts with rage and jealousy. We all know the story here.

But look at this. Saul sent his messengers to find David and take him captive and bring him to Saul so he could destroy him. This leader’s closest companions had no real problem with this. But when they came upon Samuel and the prophets prophesying, the Spirit of the Lord came upon them and they spoke under the unction as well. They returned unto Saul and told him that the Holy Ghost had come upon them and they had a mini revival. Saul sent other messengers two more times with the same results.

Yet we do not read where these compadres had any change of heart about their mission. Finally Saul made the journey and when he arrived the Holy Ghost came upon him as well and he prophesied all night long. What a gloroius time in the Lord. What power displayed. Yet this man never reversed his plan to kill humble David, to rid himself he thought, in so doing, of conviction.

David flees to Jonathan crying [my paraphrase] ‘ What have I done? What’s wrong with me that God’s appointed leader doesn’t like me or want me around? I have honored him. I have behaved myself in humility around him. I have surrendered all to my God…I have…” Uh Oh!! There it is. A sure plan of action for rejection by God’s anointed leader.

This has not changed, trust me. I have witnessed this first hand many times in the modern institution we call ‘church.’ The more humble you become, the more surrendered to God you strive to be, the more anointing you obtain, the more proof you make of your ministry, the more cold shoulders from the hierarchy of organized religion you will witness.

So the premise of this piece is, can the true anointing be in play while a heart full of wickedness is still maintained? According to what we just looked at in the story of Saul, the answer would be yes. Can the same scenario exist today under the new covenant? My opinion would be yes, definitely.

THE CALL to FORSAKE ALL

“As Jesus passed along the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his
brother Andrew casting a net into the sea?for they were fishermen.
And Jesus said to them, ‘Follow me and I will make you fish for
people.’ And immediately they left their nets and followed him.”

What did it mean when Jesus strolled the shore of Lake Galilee
and call those men to serve Him without reservation? Well, in
one way or another, it meant a complete surrender to Jesus.
When they heard Him say, “‘If any want to become my followers,
let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me‘”
(Mark 8.34), they eventually learned that He meant it.

For most of them, it meant dying for the Lord. We all know from
Foxe’s Book of Martyrs that all of the original Apostles, second
edition (with Matthias), except John went to a martyr’s death.
Thomas, not realising the full impact of what he was saying, said
it correctly when he said in John chapter eleven, “‘Let’s go back
to Judea so we may die with Him.'”

Yet, we have to ask today, what does it mean when Jesus says,
“‘Follow me and I will make you fish for people'”? Is there any
real meaning behind Jesus’ own words, “‘If any want to become
my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross
and follow Me'” for us today? Do we really believe this or have
Christ’s own words simply become a romanticised exercise in a
formulaic religious contemplation for today’s 21st Century North
American Christian?

In truth, we have to come to terms with the reality that if we don’t
really believe He means what He says in these Mark passages,
then in fact we are denying the truth and efficacy of God’s Word.
As one of my teachers along the way said, “We’re professing
believers; but in fact, we’re practical atheists.”

The good professor was blunt, but brutally true. When it comes
to obeying the Word of God, we don’t do too well with the
passages requiring personal sacrifice.

Folks, this must change. If we’re ever to realise the depth and
beauty of a vital relationship with our Lord, we have to let go and be willing to trust Him with ALL of His Words.

Are we willing to do that?

If not, then our practical doubts are going to rob us of the very
meat and meaning for which we deeply long.

Let us resolve this day that we’re not going to be spectators;
we’re going to take a step from the shore, wade in and fully
become “a fisherman”.

FORGIVENESS Brings REVIVAL

A few days ago a minister friend of mine traveled to Kentucky to
preach in a church. Shortly before he arrived, the pastor’s wife
was stricken with illness. She requested prayer for healing, but
before she was prayed for, a man in the church asked her some
important questions. He asked, “When did this illness start and
what was happening in your life when you got sick?” She
answered by saying her illness started about the time a major
incident occurred in their church daycare, in which she was
involved. The Lord revealed to this woman that she had critically
judged some people involved in the daycare incident. She
repented of this sin and was healed, which set the stage for
what God was going to do next.
Later my minister friend showed up to teach, among other things,
about the crucial need to forgive those who had wronged them
so they could be right with God. The Lord moved there in a
remarkable way as the Holy Spirit uncovered unforgiveness in
the leaders and the congregation. Many church people there
were convicted that God wanted to clear up all the relational
“viruses” before God could descend upon them in power.
My friend said that he personally prayed with approximately 40
people who were seeking repentance and wanting to make things
right with others in a congregation of about 150 folks. This is the
beginning of a true revival. I believe there will be an increased
movement of God in the future, but much of it will be preceded by
a time of great adversity where everything that can be shaken
will be shaken. In the middle of this crisis I believe there will be
an outpouring of God’s Spirit. The Lord is giving His church the
forewarning so that we can have a song of praise in our hearts
beforehand and be prepared to help others.

About a month ago, half awake, I quietly heard “Nahum 3.” I wrote it down, and looked it up later, aghast!
Is this America today? Have we become prideful and haughty like Nineveh, under the evangelicals’ watch, so we are also doomed (v. 19)?
Wikipedia says this about Nineveh:

Nineveh was the flourishing capital of the Assyrian empire (2 Kings 19:36; Isa. 37:37). The book of the prophet Nahum is almost exclusively taken up with prophetic denunciations against this city. Its ruin and utter desolation are foretold (Nahum 1:14; 3:19, etc.). Its end was strange, sudden, tragic. meeting with Robert Holmes, and Kurt Pfanstiel, who was visiting
us from the USA. Robert shared with us a vision he has recently
received. Robert had a vision of Alexander the Great standing
victorious in the middle of USA.

We discussed about Robert’s vision in some details. Alexander
the Great in the vision was a foreign looking man. He was

I remembered God has given similar visions before about

God’s meaning then. Now that God repeated this vision, I felt that

But God did not give us any clear revelations apart from saying
that “Alexander took Babylon without bloodshed.”

After the US election, Robert recognised that the Alexander he
saw was Obama. Then God revealed more information. These

Update 7/24/23: Preservice group prayer never was fully reinstated at Abbott Loop, now called “Unite Church.” Josh’s tightly structured version didn’t last long, probably only months, and he stopped attending. Since then, there has either been just a handful praying, or no group prayer at all. There used to be hundreds!

UPDATE 2/24/09: When I wrote this, a number of months ago, I didn’t realize that Josh’s concept of prayer seems to be quite different from the let-it-rip style of before. It would be nice to have a combination of both relational and let-it-rip. And the more the better.

Dear holiness, revival hungry friends,

Josh Tanner, new head pastor of Abbott Loop Community Church in Anchorage, announced last week that pre-service prayer will be reinstated in the gym, 9:45 am. Service starts at 10:30.

I call this a milestone because I think this is one of the milestones that helped ALCC get freed up, able to in many ways overcome years ago, and now will again. And it’s great to see Josh have the vision for the need for corporate prayer! For my guess is that for many people, this is the only time they will pray in tongues. And since I have yet to knowingly meet someone who forgives everyone, everywhere from their entire heart 100% of the time, most people need to pray in tongues to get free from the tormentors (Mt. 18).

This is huge! Way more important than most Christians realize, partly because of the false doctrine taught that demons can’t influence Christians directly, which is one of the greatest deceptions Satan has largely pulled off. Most people have demons influencing their thoughts and emotions and affecting their bodies. This can be proven clinically and Biblically. Praying in tongues is one of the greatest ways to get free and to free others. From my “Let Us Be ONE” prophecy: A Gift that Will Set Many Free! Satan hates tongues, and will do everything he can to keep people from praying in this crucial way. Thankfully, things are changing at “the Loop” — “a place of peace again.”

For those of you who are skeptical of the importance in praying in tongues and attended ALCC’s Bible school, please consider this. Remember when Frank used to “blow out the carbon” before classes and Prayer and Praise. What do you think we were blowing out?

Also, some people get cursed more than others. Prophetic people (like Frank was. Thank you, Lord for Frank!!!) will be among those getting hit worst, which is why he so often recognized the need. Selah.

Josh also said they’re hoping to soon build a prayer room that can be used during the hours that the building is open. Francis Frangipane’s church building has a prayer room that is accessible 24/7 for those who can be trusted with the combination code:

A friend of mine and I utilized this incredible after-hours opportunity awhile back. The entrance is between the building’s two sets of entrance doors. The outermost is left unlocked.

And I’d like to put in a plug for something I’ve been greatly longing for: a worship room—a place where people can come and hang out where freedom reigns through worship!

Worship is another way to be free, a way to excise demons. And it’s a significant, direct way of doing the Greatest Commandment, to love the Lord, our God, with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. And when people worship God together in Spirit and in Truth [unhypocritically, having clean hands (right with all) and a clean heart. We can’t worship in Spirit if we aren’t worshiping in truth], God is greatly honored and His manifest presence will be there. “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. International House of Prayer (IHOP) in Kansas City has a dedicated, 24/7 prayer room in which people can come anytime to participate, or just hang. There are even tables where people can study with their laptops. I like this model very much, but I think it can only be successful in God’s sight if worship in Spirit and in Truth is achieved through holiness—being right with God and right with each other—so we are worshiping in truth. Until holiness is more consistently realized among believers in general, it’s crucial that those leading worship need to be going-to-heaven, right-with-God-and-all-people children of God [see: Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way]. Or the anointing won’t come, and it will mostly be in vain. Somebody has to lead the people out of the yuck and into God’s great light. Musical talent, alone, cannot do this. The musicians must be right with God to be able to lead. It’s better to have one person who is holy lead than many who aren’t. It’s even better to have an anointed CD playing than an unanointed worship leader leading, which would be totally cool, but the CDs would have to carefully be chosen by those who are sensitive to what is truly worshipful. Many are deceived by demon-anointed ‘worship,’ today. Which I think is similar to what Rick Joyner’s “The Final Quest” vision illustrates: demons riding on ‘Christians,’ who think this is the anointing of God. [Warning: grossness factor ahead. But it really is this gross in today’s average ‘Christian.’ It’s time to wake up!]

The most shocking part of this vision was that this horde was not riding on horses, but on Christians! Most of them were well-dressed, respectable, and had the appearance of being refined and educated. These were Christians who had opened themselves to the powers of darkness to such a degree that the enemy could use them and they would think that they were being used by God. …

Even worse than the vomit from the vultures was a repulsive slime that these demons were urinating and defecating upon the Christians they rode. This slime was the pride, selfish ambition, etc., that was the nature of the division they were a part of. However, this slime made the Christians feel so much better than the condemnation that they easily believed that the demons were messengers of God, and they actually thought this slime was the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

But here is the great part, when ONE happens, Jesus’ heart-cry for us in John 17:

When we reached the level called “The Unity of the Brethren,” none of the enemy’s arrows could reach us.

And:

When we reached the level called “Galatians Two Twenty,” we were above the altitude that the vultures could fly. At this level the sky above almost blinded us with its brightness and beauty. I felt peace like I had never felt it before. …

The “Galatians Two Twenty” level was so wide that there was no longer any danger of falling. … Faith, Hope and Love…were now so large that I knew people far beyond the battle area could see them. Their glory even radiated into the camp of prisoners who were still under a great cloud of vultures. The exhilaration continued to grow in all of us. I felt that being in this army, in this battle, had to be one of the greatest adventures of all time.

People who are right with God and who have a keen gift of discernment of spirits should oversee this venture—just like William Seymour carefully oversaw the goings on during the Azusa Street revival. Most who are gifted pastorally do not have a keen discernment gift that can smell the rat, and few pastors really appreciate and utilize those who are so gifted—those who can watch their backside and help keep the church clean so God can inhabit His people again. One former pastor even told me once that I was ‘weird.’

Incidentally, I had a dream, once, in which the people all spontaneously worshiped God without having to be led from the platform to enter in. I believe this day is coming, but isn’t here yet. Until it does, we need worship leaders who are right with God, first, and all people, so they can lead the people into worship.

Practically speaking, the prayer room concept could start by just having one worship-only service per week. Again, those on the platform must be holy (living in Gal. 5:22-24, really), or it won’t get off the ground. And it could probably be done in the auditorium if it got too big to fit in the chapel.

This is also a great time for people to hear from God. During Prayer and Praise in Bible school, I would often speak what God was telling me quietly into a micro-cassette recorder. I found I could more easily hear from God then. I suggested to two pastors about 20 years ago that a worship-only service could be done, which could incorporate a quiet time in which people could be encouraged to record or write down (or in this day and age, laptop users could type out) what God would speak to them. I knew this would work for many because it worked for me. So few ‘Christians’ hear from God regularly, or at all (because of demonic interference, I believe); though, this should be basic, fundamental, Christianity 101, because “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27).

By the way, the two pastors I suggested this to did start worship-only services, but instead of encouraging the people to hear from God during a quiet time, the one had people come up and prophecy, and the other prophesied to the people himself. Both of these things are okay, but I was greatly disappointed that the people, themselves weren’t encouraged to learn to hear from God. One pastor called it a Celebration Service, but there wasn’t yet time to celebrate. Oneness with God and each other wasn’t yet close to being realized, and that church no longer exists. James 4 has to happen before we can in Spirit and in truth celebrate.

We can get it right this time, encouraging the people to directly connect in this glorious, pure-pipeline way. It’s easy to hear from God when the competition is gone, the demonic impostors that almost all ‘Christians’ currently have.

Guess where I think revival will start in America, y’all? But we must be right with everybody — forgiving everyone from the heart.

That Barack Obama trounced John McCain last Tuesday should have surprised no one. In fact, in this column, weeks ago, I stated emphatically that John McCain could no more beat Barack Obama than Bob Dole could beat Bill Clinton. He didn’t. (Hence a vote for John McCain was a “wasted” vote, was it not?) I also predicted that Obama would win with an electoral landslide. He did. The real story, however, is not how Barack Obama defeated John McCain. The real story is how John McCain defeated America’s conservatives.

For all intents and purposes, conservatism–as a national movement–is completely and thoroughly dead. Barack Obama did not destroy it, however. It was George W. Bush and John McCain who destroyed conservatism in America.

Soon after G.W. Bush was elected, it quickly became obvious he was no conservative. On the contrary, George Bush has forever established himself as a Big-Government, warmongering, internationalist neocon. Making matters worse was the way Bush presented himself as a conservative Christian. In fact, Bush’s portrayal of himself as a conservative Christian paved the way for the betrayal and ultimate destruction of conservatism (something I also predicted years ago). And the greatest tragedy of this deception is the way that Christian conservatives so thoroughly (and stupidly) swallowed the whole Bush/McCain neocon agenda.

For example, Bush and his fellow neocons like to categorize and promote themselves as being “pro-life,” but they have no hesitation or reservation about killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people in reckless and unconstitutional foreign wars. By the same token, how many unborn babies were saved by six years of all three branches of the federal government being under the control of these “pro-life” neocons? Not one! Ask the more than eight million unborn babies who were killed in their mothers’ wombs during the last eight years how “pro-life” George W. Bush and John McCain are.

As a result of this insanely inconsistent and pixilated punditry, millions of Americans now laugh at the very notion of “pro-life” conservatism. Bush and McCain have made a mockery of the very term.

Consider, too, the way Bush and McCain have allowed the international bankers on Wall Street to bilk America’s taxpayers out of trillions of dollars. Yes, I know Obama also supported the Wall Street bailout, but it was the Republican Party that controlled the White House for the last eight years and the entire federal government for six out of the last eight years. In fact, the GOP has won seven out of the previous ten Presidential elections. They have controlled Supreme Court appointments for the past thirty-plus years. They have appointed the majority of Treasury secretaries and Federal Reserve chairmen. They have presided over the greatest trade imbalances, the biggest deficits, the biggest spending increases, and now the worst financial disaster since the Great Depression.

Again, the American people look at these so-called “conservatives” and laugh. …

But the worst calamity of this election was the way conservatives–especially Christian conservatives–surrendered their principles for the sake of political partisanship. The James Dobsons of this country should hang their heads in shame! Not only did they lose an election, they lost their integrity! …

Across the country, rather than stand on principle, hundreds of thousands of pastors, Christians, and pro-life conservatives capitulated and groveled before John McCain’s neocon agenda. In doing so, they forfeited any claim to truth, and they abandoned any and all fidelity to constitutional government. They should rip the stories of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego out of their Bibles. They should never again tell their children, parishioners, and radio audiences the importance of standing for truth and principle. They have made a mockery of Christian virtue. No wonder a majority of the voting electorate laughs at us Christians. No wonder the GOP crashed and burned last Tuesday.

On Sunday nights, our pastor has been preaching a series of sermons from the first and second books of Kings, which chronicles the decline and ultimate destruction of Old Testament Israel. There is a consistent theme, and that is the fact that both the Northern and the Southern kingdoms rejected the prophets who tried to bring the message of justice and righteousness.

While I hardly am going to liken Ron Paul to Isaiah or claim that the USA is Biblical Israel, nonetheless there is a parallel. Ron Paul for many years has tried to provide an example for Republicans, especially in the years following 9/11. He has called for liberty, for sound money, and for real justice.

What has been the Republican response? They first tried to defeat him by paying people to run against him in primaries. When that did not work, they marginalized him. During the campaign, they made false accusations against him….

Ron Paul had a message that works. Had the Republicans listened, they would not be facing the massacre they face today. The Republicans had an opportunity, but they rejected it. Today, the voters will reject them.

In the church bulletin I was handed a few weeks ago was the Alaska Family Council Voter’s Guide:
http://www.alaskafamilycouncil.org/2008FINALGenElectionGuide.pdf In my experience, this is a fairly typical of the voter’s guides that steer probably the majority of Evangelicals towards who they will vote for. For example, this one is somewhat similar [2013 update: apparently the 2008 voters guide I linked to is now replaced by another on this same page, and is different].
For the office of President, there were 7 “where they stand” questions and 2 candidates. 5 of the 7 questions had to do with abortion or homosexual marriage. The other 2 showed where they stand on cloning and the death tax.
Where are the rest of the questions? Republican candidates have learned how to play this game decades ago.
Under each of these questions, 2 candidates’ positions were listed: Barack Obama and John McCain. 6 candidates are on the ballets in enough states to be able to theoretically win. Of all 6, including John McCain, Chuck Baldwin is the only true pro-life candidate running. See: Chuck Baldwin: John McCain Pro Life? What a Joke.
Why are only non-Christian, pro-war, pro-big brother/big government, pro-New World Order, pro-open borders, anti-Constitution and untrustworthy candidates in this ‘Christian’ guide?
Isn’t this a little bit deceptive?
Was also-pro-life-to-the-max and Christian, Ron Paul excluded from the 2008 Presidential Primary ‘Christian’ Voter’s Guides? Probably. Ron Paul was God’s gift to America who could have easily won had the ‘Christians’ just paid attention. And he could be leading us out of this mess that is probably now irreversible. America is on a death spiral which both Voter’s Guide candidates will ensure.
‘Christian’ Voter’s Guides are significantly responsible for the coming police state. Voters who vote based upon this tiny litmus test are aiding and abetting the destruction of America. Consider what the previous “values voter’s guide” endorsed President did: President Bush — “Bad Fruits versus Good Fruits” List.
It’s time to vote clean this time—to not be responsible for the evil caused by this next Constitution gutting administration.

The tone is a bit strong, but some of this is marvelous. We must unite, following the One, no matter where He leads — no matter what color we are.
Both parties are controlled by Satanic powers. Both are destroying this country and are complicit in destroying others.
And the holier than thou attitude of the Republican blood-soaked war party just reeks! Where’s the love? When will “pro-life” pastors accept the fact that life doesn’t end after birth. Being pro-life is also being pro-life for Iraqi mothers and fathers, children and old folk—and grownups in need all over the world.
All of us Christians need to reassess what Christianity really is so we can worship together and help others together—color blind. It doesn’t matter. ONE in Christ!
And pastors who push McCain. It’s time to repent.

My EMP Dream (10/23/08): All Cars Suddenly Stopped From Electromagnetic Pulse Weapon?

About 8am this morning (10/23/08), I had a dream in which all of the cars around me suddenly stopped working, including my own. And the only thing I can think of that could cause this would be an electromagnetic pulse weapon (EMP). There was no sound in the dream, like a bang, but I imagine that an EMP would detonate so far away and so high above that no sound would be heard.

President Bush — Bad Fruits versus Good Fruits

“Ye shall know them by their fruits” (Matt 7:16 )

In so many occasions in my life, when contemplating a specific course of action, I have found it highly helpful to make a list of pro’s and con’s. Once I have completed this list, I would then examine it carefully; if the pro’s outweighed the con’s, then I would take the action contemplated, but if the con’s outweighed the pro’s, then I would not take the action.

In this hot debate amongst Christian brethren over whether the fruits (actions) of President Bush were of such Biblically “good fruit” nature to allow Fundamental, Bible-believing Christians to consider him “Born Again”, I have created a list showing the fruits I have seen since he became a candidate for President in 2000. On the left, I have listed the “bad fruits” I have seen, and on the right, I have listed the “good fruits” he has produced.

Remember, words do not count: just actions. Words spoken at a Prayer Breakfast do not count, as they are only words. And, please don’t repeat the Urban Legend about Mr. Bush leading a young man to salvation; we all know that story was fabricated. I am speaking of actions President Bush has taken since becoming President that we would consider Biblical “Good Fruits”.

The Holy Spirit warns us in the Last Days religiously deceitful men shall arise to deceive many.

Abbott Loop Community Church (formerly Abbott Loop Christian Center, where I graduated from Bible School in the ’80s) has a new head pastor, Josh Tanner.
I’ve heard that the transition took place about two weeks ago; though, their website doesn’t yet reflect this. Meeting times are here.
I’m extremely encouraged and full of joy by what I’ve heard so far, and hope to participate.
Jesus’ (John 17) prayer for ONE can happen!

CONGREGATION OF THE DEAD

America is a dying country. I hate to be the one to break the news to you, but America is a dead man walking.

The once great “shining city on a hill” is gasping for breath. Everywhere you turn you are faced with the harsh truth that the death rattle has begun. We are a dying people controlled by a dying government, infected with the dead leadership of dead men, who chew on a dead gospel served-up in dead churches, by dead pastors living out a dead faith.

The stench of death is permeating our society. How could this possibly be? America, has wandered “out of the way of understanding.” Make no mistake about it; America is dying of spiritual starvation. We are the victims of spiritual bulimia, willingly vomiting out all that would nourish us.

America is a congregation of the dead.

We have no one to blame but the Church. I know that makes many of you nervous as you cling to your “dead faith full of dead works” believing that God is pleased with your apathy towards the spiritual condition of this nation. You, my Christian friends, are complicit in the spiritual coup that has swept over America. Compromise is the birthing ground of sin. Savorless salt producing good-for-nothing Christianity.

It is easy to blame the sinner as he proudly gallivants his debauchery for all to see. But it is the “compromise of the converted” that has paved the way for our national suicide. It is not the bold sinner that has destroyed our nation, but the “Silent Saint” ashamed to speak the Truth. And make no mistake about it…we have only ourselves to blame. We have willingly “wandered out of the way of understanding.” We followed folly, “changed the truth of God into a lie and are reaping the whirlwind from our unwillingness to contend for the Truth. Silence isn’t golden, it’s yellow.

We are a nation of liars, following liars, believing liars, and celebrating liars. Jesus said “The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. We have rejected His words, and we have rejected His life. “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”

The heart is more than a pump. Science is just now proving this; though, the Bible speaks of the heart about 1,000 times in its emotional, even thought originating role.
Here, Jesus specifically shows the fault-finding doubters that their ‘reasoning’ was happening “in their hearts”—in their innermost being.
Deep down must be clean too. Evil can originate from deep within. Understanding what’s going on there is a huge key to being free.
It’s Biblical to make sure our hearts are pure — not just our heads.
Mark 2:

1 When he [Jesus] entered again into Capernaum after some days, it was heard that he was in the house. 2 Immediately many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even around the door; and he spoke the word to them. 3 Four people came, carrying a paralytic to him. 4 When they could not come near to him for the crowd, they removed the roof where he was. (1) VISION – ECONOMY on LIFE SUPPORT

I wanted to write and share a vision I had several years ago…
The Lord showed me a body laying on a bed in a hospital setting.
The patient was named The Economy. His chart was at the foot
of his bed and the lines on the graphs seemed to be marked by
sharp up and down turns.
He was breathing “falsely”. He was surrounded by many specialists
who were doing many things to keep him alive. He was totally on
artificial life support. Just then, the Chief Physician came in,
looked at the patient, and declared, “This patient is dead. Let that
which is dead die.” With his own finger, he threw the switch to cut
off the life support.
The Economy heaved, gasped, and died horribly.
End.
I believe that we are headed for a global meltdown of the world
economy. This will bring chaos and ruin but will strip people of
their false god of money and many souls will be brought to Christ.
If we are walking in obedience to the Lord, we have nothing to fear.
Ask the Lord for wisdom to get your economic house in order.
Seek first the kingdom of God, And his righteousness, and all
these things (materials needs) will be added unto you.

(2) VISION:- Two BLACK MONDAYS

“…In my last article I mentioned a vision of the Stock Market’s
‘Big Board’ having serious upcoming problems. I saw the Stock
Market soar and then crash. After the crash, many big business
corporations and private parties bought up stocks because of the
low cost to buy in. Then I saw the market begin to climb again
in a short period of time. Then it crashed again bringing tremendous
loss, ruin, and devastation to all who bought in the first time.
This is what I have labeled “Two Black Mondays.” The time period
between the Two Black Mondays was very close together. I could
not tell exactly how close. It could be a couple of days to a
couple of months. There are some tell-tale signs indicating the
season and the setting. *I saw the season to be when ‘the leaves
fall to the ground’ then the first crash would occur.* I also saw
the Yen and Mark fall dramatically just before this sudden and
inexplicable crash. Like Joseph in Genesis, I believe America
will have fat years of financial blessing. I also believe there
are coming lean years of financial difficulty for America.
I do not believe God is showing this so people can beat the game
financially. I rather believe He is saying keep your eyes on
eternal things. Store up treasures in Heaven.”
