The radio interviews are here. And I really like this segment (day 2), in which he talks about journaling what God says, and his breakthrough through worshiping, which reminds me of what happened to Terry Law:
“If you want to go someplace you’ve never been you have to do things you’ve never done.”
From: TV show transcript
SID: Some of the principles that you teach on, I mean, each one is a key and you put an amazing warranty, if you will, for major corporations.
MIKE: Yes.
SID: What do you challenge them with?
MIKE: Yes. And I really want somebody to challenge me on this. I dare people. It’s called the corporate challenge. Nobody has taken me up on this yet, but I know they will. The corporate challenge is as if there is large American corporation that is generally widely known and it’s dying, and we can think of some off the top of our heads, but we won’t name names. But if one of those companies will do what I wrote about in this book and they agree to do that I will go at my own expense to their headquarters and walk them through this process with a guarantee that their company will be revived.
SID: Michael, you talk about curses here. And curses pass on from generation to generation, to generation. And you talk about some of the companies, General Motors and Ford. And there was a story about that you talk about, about a car that I was not familiar with called the Tucker Torpedo. What was that?
MIKE: Yeah. The Tucker Torpedo was created by a man that used to work for one of the big three automobile companies, and it was really a breakthrough, highly innovative, technologically advanced automobile. And we don’t know, Sid, whether, you know, some of these things that were said about what maybe some of the big three did to Mr. Tucker did are true or they’re not true. The point is that every person in every company has baggage, things they’ve done wrong, things they’ve said wrong; things they’ve thought wrong. And when that happens it creates a break in their prosperity. And so if you–
SID: So let’s assume that what Tucker said was true. What did he say?
MIKE: Basically, that his company was poised to take a significant market share from the current automobile manufactures, Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, and they didn’t want that to happen. So if that’s true, that would have hurt them and they, through political connections and lawsuits and different things, they basically strung him out and diverted his attention from his company into the lawsuits and the political maneuvering and testifying in Congress. And by the time he could get back to looking at his business, his company was bankrupt.
SID: Well it certainly makes logical sense to me. So assuming that was true and if it is true, his company was bankrupt. It is true that he had a superior vehicle. So it kind of rings a bell of truth to me. So assuming that’s true, what would someone like Ford or General Motors have to do to get that cloud off of them?
MIKE: Well, you know S[id], I’m a businessman. I’m not a prophet. I’m not a preacher. I didn’t go to seminary. I’m strictly involved in making large dollar decisions and I cannot afford a mistake. Okay. I want to clarify that. But with a company like General Motors, assume this was true, and I can’t prove it, but if it was true or something like it was true and there could be hundreds, if not thousands of these sorts of things that have to be dealt with. And when they’re dealt with and you go basically to your Maker and say, “Hey, I’m sorry we did that.” Well I didn’t do it. The guys that ran the company 50 years ago did it, but still, I’m responsible. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. We’re turning away from that. Okay. We admit our guilt. We’re gonna move on. At that point those curses then are broken and the prosperity can flow. There’s a spirit called lack. It’s very real. I’ve experienced it, Sid. I’ve been on both sides of these deals. And so the spirit of lack has, because you’ve opened a door, you’ve opened that door of that curse because you’ve done something wrong that the spirit of lack comes in and chokes you. It chokes off your finances. It hurts retirees and pensions, and health benefits. All those things melt down. Everything goes wrong until that core thing is fixed.

Asbury Revival, 1970: “Dr. Kinlaw, I am a liar. Now what do I do?”
Dave and I became close friends at seminary. Afterward, he shared with me what he had learned about John Calvin’s character. This is the first time I’ve seen it in writing from him.
If there is anyone who should know, it’s Dave. He’s probably read everything from at least every American library written by or about John Calvin, often even in the original languages. Dave is pure genius, having this amazing memory!
In Birmingham (his home), I went with him to the library one day to drop off and pick up the books he ordered. I watched him exchange about 30 books for the 30 books he was getting. I think he said he did this every week. His Ph.D. thesis blew the professors away. Apparently, it had this bibliography that was almost endless. I’ll have to ask him again about the specifics. He’s not one to toot his own horn.

How John Calvin Made me a Catholic
Jun 1st, 2010
This is a guest post by Dr. David Anders. David and his wife completed their undergraduate degrees at Wheaton College in 1992. He subsequently earned an M.A. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 1995, and a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in 2002, in Reformation history and historical theology. He was received into the Catholic Church in 2003. He will be on EWTN Live on June 23rd, 7:00 pm Central (8 EST), and may be discussing some of the material from this article.
[…]
When I finished seminary, I moved on to Ph.D. studies in Reformation history. My focus was on John Calvin (1509-1564), the French Reformer who made Geneva, Switzerland into a model Protestant city. I chose Calvin not just because of my Presbyterian background, but because most American Protestants have some relationship to him. The English Puritans, the Pilgrim Fathers, Jonathan Edwards and the “Great Awakening” – all drew on Calvin and then strongly influenced American religion. My college and seminary professors portrayed Calvin as a master theologian, our theologian. I thought that if I could master Calvin, I would really know the faith.
Strangely, mastering Calvin didn’t lead me anywhere I expected. To begin with, I decided that I really didn’t like Calvin. I found him proud, judgmental and unyielding.
[…]
I already knew that Calvin himself, for all his insistence on unity and authority, had been unable to deliver the goods. His own followers descended into anarchy and individualism.
I realized instead that Calvin was part of the problem. He had insisted on the importance of unity and authority, but had rejected any rational or consistent basis for that authority. He knew that Scripture totally alone, Scripture interpreted by each individual conscience, was a recipe for disaster. But his own claim to authority was perfectly arbitrary. Whenever he was challenged, he simply appealed to his own conscience, or to his subjective experience, but he denied that right to Bolsec and others. As a result, Calvin became proud and censorious, brutal with his enemies, and intolerant of dissent. In all my reading of Calvin, I don’t recall him ever apologizing for a mistake or admitting an error.

So can John Calvin be in heaven?
Unlike Calvin, Paul actually did ~”work out his own salvation through fear and trembling.” He made sure he ALWAYS right with everyone and God.
“Herein I also practice *always* having a conscience void of offense toward God and men.” (Acts 24:16)
He overcame sin by the power of the Holy Spirit. He once lived in Romans 7 before he became born-again. Then he lived in Christ, not walking according to the flesh, but according to the Holy Spirit:
“There is therefore now *no condemnation* to those who are IN CHRIST Jesus, who don’t WALK according to the flesh, but ACCORDING TO THE SPIRIT.”
Consider Paul’s words in Paul in Galatians 5 & 6. In which list do we find John Calvin?
13 For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another. 14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don’t consume one another.
16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, 21 envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit. 26 Let’s not become conceited, provoking one another, and envying one another.
1 Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted. 2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if a man thinks himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each man test his own work, and then he will take pride in himself and not in his neighbor. 5 For each man will bear his own burden.
6 But let him who is taught in the word share all good things with him who teaches. 7 Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
9 Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up. 10 So then, as we have opportunity, let’s do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith.

“I would warn you that terrible times lie ahead.
We have no business going into an unnecessary war with Iran.
And when you go back over the history of all the wars
that have taken place in the last 120 years,
every one of them has been contrived,
and in every one of them
they lied to the public as to why they went to war.”
“There has been a plan since long before the inception of the United States
to use our nation to bring about a world government.”
“Ladies and gentlemen,
all these wars are started and contrived by other people
who have a different agenda,
and it’s really all about bringing about the one-world government
that’s prophesied in the scriptures.
And the average American doesn’t understand.”
“Between 1977 and the year 2008,
every President and/or Vice President of the United States
came from the membership roles of the Trilateral Commission.
And you’re never going to read about that in the newspapers
because of course, they control the newspapers….
And of course,
they are moving us towards a war with Iran, today.”
“Men and women become accomplices to the evils they fail to oppose.”
“If we get involved in another major war,
and it goes for any period of time,
it will bankrupt America.
And we are already bankrupt morally.
And I fear that God is going to bring His judgment on this nation,
as He does upon any nation that turns against Him.
And believe me, America has turned against God.
And of course,
this is because of the occult influence in our country.

Sex Addicts Anonymous (SAA)
1.We admitted we were powerless over addictive sexual behavior — that our lives had become unmanageable
2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood God.
4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
5. Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
7. Humbly asked God to remove our shortcomings.
8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.
9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.
11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood God, praying only for knowledge of God’s will for us and the power to carry that out.
12.Having had a spiritual awakening as a result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to other sex addicts and to practice these principles in our lives.

I’m Adding Some Steps
See: Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way
To be free, it helps tremendously to know that lust is a salvation issue!
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount (Mt. 5), we need to do whatever is necessary to be free from lust so we won’t go to Hell, so I think there should be more steps:
13. Realize that if we’re born-again Christians, God will never allow us to be temped beyond what we can overcome, always providing a way to escape willful sin (1 Cor. 10:13).
14. Acknowledge that if we are born-again Christians and willfully lust, we are literally now on the Highway to Hell, forfeiting our right to go to heaven, as long as we’re on that highway.
15. Acknowledge that if we willfully lust, we have opened the door for powerful, invisible, demon spirits to actually drive the addiction in our bodies, who make it seem impossible to get free.
16. Realize that through Christ, we can do all things — OVERCOMERS — more than conquerors!
17. Through God’s grace, we will crucify our flesh (Paul in Gal. 5), doing whatever we have to in order to not lust at all (Jesus in Mt. 5), which will remove the evil spirits’ rights (Eph. 4) to drive lust in our bodies.
18. Understand that steps 8 and 9 are important to be able to be ONE with each other and to be able to rest in God.
Did I miss any steps? Like forgiving those who hurt us, determining not to hate anyone from our now clean hearts?

The serious incidents that took place on 31 May between Israeli forces and activists on a flotilla heading for Gaza once again put the spotlight on the acute hardship faced by the population in the Gaza Strip.
As the ICRC has stressed repeatedly, the dire situation in Gaza cannot be resolved by providing humanitarian aid. The closure imposed on the Gaza Strip is about to enter its fourth year, choking off any real possibility of economic development. Gazans continue to suffer from unemployment, poverty and warfare, while the quality of Gaza’s health care system has reached an all-time low.
The whole of Gaza’s civilian population is being punished for acts for which they bear no responsibility. The closure therefore constitutes a collective punishment imposed in clear violation of Israel’s obligations under international humanitarian law.
“The closure is having a devastating impact on the 1.5 million people living in Gaza”, said Béatrice Mégevand-Roggo, the ICRC’s head of operations for the Middle East. “That is why we are urging Israel to put an end to this closure and call upon all those who have an influence on the situation, including Hamas, to do their utmost to help Gaza’s civilian population. Israel’s right to deal with its legitimate security concerns must be balanced against the Palestinians’ right to live normal, dignified lives.”
The international community has to do its part to ensure that repeated appeals by States and international organizations to lift the closure are finally heeded.
Under international humanitarian law, Israel must ensure that the basic needs of Gazans, including adequate health care, are met. The Palestinian authorities, for their part, must do everything within their power to provide proper health care, supply electricity and maintain infrastructure for Gaza’s people.
Furthermore, all States have an obligation to allow and facilitate rapid and unimpeded passage of all relief consignments, equipment and personnel.

Sarah Palin demonstrates why most evangelicals dissed Ron Paul, who wanted to bring the troops home. ‘Christians’ have two sets of books: one for US and one for THEM (“who don’t deserve rights”). THEY’re not our ‘neighbor’ whom Jesus commanded US to love as much as ourselves. Maybe that’s why most evangelicals refuse to investigate 9/11. If THEY didn’t take down the towers…???

James Buchanan – 12/14/1860
By His Excellency
James Buchanan, President of the United States of America.
A Proclamation for a Day of Humiliation, Fasting, & Prayer.
To the People of the United States. A Recommendation.
Numerous appeals have been made to me by pious and patriotic associations and citizens, in view of the present distracted and dangerous condition of our country, to recommend that a day be set apart for Humiliation, Fasting and Prayer throughout the Union.
In compliance with their request and my own sense of duty, I designate Friday, the 4th of January 1861, for this purpose, and recommend that the People assemble on that day, according to their several forms of worship, to keep it as a solemn Fast.
The Union of the States is at the present moment threatened with alarming and immediate danger; panic and distress of a fearful character prevails throughout the land; our laboring population are without employment, and consequently deprived of the mans of earning their bread. Indeed, hope seems to have deserted the minds of men. All classes are in a state of confusion and dismay, and the wisest counsels of our best and purest men are wholly disregarded.
In this the hour of our calamity and peril, to whom shall we resort for relief but to the God of our fathers? His omnipotent arm only can save us from the awful effects of our own crimes and follies — our own ingratitude and guilt towards our Heavenly Father.
Let us, then, with deep contrition and penitent sorrow, unite in humbling ourselves before the Most High, in confessing our individual and national sins, and in acknowledging the injustice of our punishment. Let us implore Him to remove from our hearts that false pride of opinion which would impel us to persevere in wrong for the sake of consistency, rather than yield a just submission to the unforeseen exigencies by which we are now surrounded. Let us with deep reverence beseech him to restore the friendship and good will which prevailed in former days among the people of the several States; and, above all, to save us from the horrors of civil war and “blood-guiltiness.” Let our fervent prayers ascend to His Throne that He would not desert us in this hour of extreme peril, but remember us as he did our fathers in the darkest days of the revolution; and preserve our Constitution and our Union, the work of their hands, for ages yet to come.
An Omnipotent Providence may overrule existing evils for permanent good. He can make the wrath of man to praise Him, and the remainder of wrath he can restrain. — Let me invoke every individual, in whatever sphere of like he may be placed, to feel a personal responsibility to God and his country for keeping this day holy, and for contributing all in his power to remove our actual and impending calamities.
James Buchanan.
Washington, Dec. 14, 1860.
Jesus commands us to love ALL people as much as we love ourselves:
One of the scribes came, and heard them questioning together. Knowing that he had answered them well, asked him, “Which commandment is the greatest of all?” Jesus answered, “The greatest is, ‘Hear, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one: you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. The second is like this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” – Mark 12:28-31
Christians must be peacemakers. Jesus said:
“Blessed are the PEACEMAKERS, for they shall be called the CHILDREN OF GOD.” – Mt. 5:9
Jesus commands us to love our enemies, that we may be His children:
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, BLESS THOSE WHO CURSE YOU, DO GOOD to those WHO HATE you, and PRAY FOR THOSE WHO MISTREAT YOU and persecute you, THAT YOU MAY BE CHILDREN of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same? If you only greet your friends, what more do you do than others? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same? Therefore you shall BE PERFECT, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” – Mt. 5:43-48
Sarah Palin Says Only Americans Worthy of Rights?
Feb 21, 2010
The recent Republican talking point that US constitutional rights are only for Americans citizens was nowhere so jingoistically and hypocritically expressed as it was by Sarah Palin in her appearances this month on “Fox News Sunday” and at a national Tea Party Convention, as I show in this video.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3D4VMZb8wLY]Forgiveness and the Freedom of Letting go
Forgiveness is the mental, emotional and/or spiritual process of ceasing to feel resentment, indignation or anger against another person for a perceived offense, difference or mistake, or ceasing to demand punishment or restitution
Dear friends,
I had a dream, this morning, in which I was speaking to apparently a fairly well known rock musician who was severely ill and expected to die. I should have grabbed the recorder right away. I did, but I waited a number of minutes (wanting so much just to go back to sleep but knowing I shouldn’t), too long to be able to retain all of the details. But I think I remember the main points.
I haven’t posted the previous “getting right with another” dream, so perhaps I’ll mention those first. In one, I saw this former church leader while he was getting food in what seemed like a wedding reception or something similar. I said right to him: “when are you going to get right with the people you’ve hurt?”
The second dream was of the same man. We were sitting across from each other at a small table in a fairly open room. My right hand was holding his right hand, earnestly, as I asked: “when are you going to get right with the people that you’ve hurt?”
In the dream this morning, I was in the bleacher area of an indoor arena which holds large public events. I was introduced to two people, one of whom was this apparently fairly famous rock musician; though, I didn’t recognize him.
We were laughing about something, and then he and I stood, looking at each other. I said, “you look happy. You look like a real Christian.” And then I said, “if I were you, I’d get right with everybody I’ve hurt.” He said, “Wow,” like this was something he needed to hear.
And that’s it. It’s crucial that we have reconciled with everyone we can. We need to be right with each other so we can be right with God in order to have faith to enter heaven when we see Jesus face to face — so our consciences won’t condemn us. So we can smile BIG!
1 John 2:28 Now, little children, remain in him, that when he appears, we may have boldness, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
1 John 4:16 We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. 17 In this[,] love has been made perfect among us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as he is, even so are we in this world.
And when we all live this way: ONE can happen — Jesus’ prayer for us in John 17 — that we would be ONE with each other in Christ. Then the world will know.
And when we confess our sins to one another and then ask for prayer from the right-with-God-and-people elders, then we’ll be healed physically too.
James 5: 14 Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, 15 and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.
The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.
So by getting right with those this musician has hurt, he’s making his calling and election sure, and he could get physically healed so he wouldn’t prematurely die.
When we’re all right with one another, then the prayers can be offered in faith. Then we’re righteous people.
God bless!

The Contagious Love Experiment is two soldiers who have returned from Iraq to speak about their personal transformation into a more compassionate being. Love is the driving the force, and these 2 have riding around the country on bikes to talk about it.
They recently came to the Sonoma County Peace and Justice Center to do just that, and Nor Cal Truth was there to film the event. We have tried to grab 10 minutes which we felt got their message across. It was not easy, and we are not professionals. Enjoy

An Open Letter of Reconciliation and Responsibility to the Iraqi People
From Current and Former Members of the U.S. Military
By Josh Stieber
(Written with Ethan McCord, who pulled injured children from van in Wikileaks ‘Collateral Murder’ video)
Peace be with you.
To all of those who were injured or lost loved ones during the July 2007 Baghdad shootings depicted in the “Collateral Murder” Wikileaks video:
We write to you, your family, and your community with awareness that our words and actions can never restore your losses.
We are both soldiers who occupied your neighborhood for 14 months. Ethan McCord pulled your daughter and son from the van, and when doing so, saw the faces of his own children back home. Josh Stieber was in the same company but was not there that day, though he contributed to the your pain, and the pain of your community on many other occasions.
There is no bringing back all that was lost. What we seek is to learn from our mistakes and do everything we can to tell others of our experiences and how the people of the United States need to realize what have done and are doing to you and the people of your country. We humbly ask you what we can do to begin to repair the damage we caused.
We have been speaking to whoever will listen, telling them that what was shown in the Wikileaks video only begins to depict the suffering we have created. From our own experiences, and the experiences of other veterans we have talked to, we know that the acts depicted in this video are everyday occurrences of this war: this is the nature of how U.S.-led wars are carried out in this region.
We acknowledge our part in the deaths and injuries of your loved ones as we tell Americans what we were trained to do and carried out in the name of “god and country”. The soldier in video said that your husband shouldn’t have brought your children to battle, but we are acknowledging our responsibility for bringing the battle to your neighborhood, and to your family. We did unto you what we would not want done to us.
More and more Americans are taking responsibility for what was done in our name. Though we have acted with cold hearts far too many times, we have not forgotten our actions towards you. Our heavy hearts still hold hope that we can restore inside our country the acknowledgment of your humanity, that we were taught to deny.
Our government may ignore you, concerned more with its public image. It has also ignored many veterans who have returned physically injured or mentally troubled by what they saw and did in your country. But the time is long overdue that we say that the value of our nation’s leaders no longer represent us. Our secretary of defense may say the U.S. won’t lose its reputation over this, but we stand and say that our reputation’s importance pales in comparison to our common humanity.
With such pain, friendship might be too much to ask. Please accept our apology, our sorrow, our care, and our dedication to change from the inside out. We are doing what we can to speak out against the wars and military policies responsible for what happened to you and your loved ones. Our hearts are open to hearing how we can take any steps to support you through the pain that we have caused.
Solemnly and Sincerely,
Josh Stieber, former specialist, U.S. Army

.
Turn my eyes from worthless things,
even the permissible that’s not beneficial.
Fill me with life.
.
This concept is wonderful, spending our time only on what’s beneficial, which is why I posted this. But I have this reservation, which I think is significant.
In my opinion, there is too much asking (even telling) God to do things for us that He has already empowered us to do.
I know I’m being picky here, but it’s been something that has concerned me for many years. Why are we putting the this on God? Why are we asking Him to do something He’s already promised He would help us do?
Whose responsibility is it to turn our eyes? Ours or God’s?
God gives us the grace (those of us who are born-again), He will always give us the power of the Holy Spirit so we will be able to turn our own eyes.
He won’t do it for us, but He’ll help us and empower us to do it, by His grace.
And regarding asking/telling God: “Fill me with life.”
He already promised He would respond in this way:
“Draw near to God and He’ll draw near to you.” (James 4)
He will. We don’t have to ask Him to, tell Him to, beg Him to. He will when we draw near to Him in holiness, right with each other — worshiping Him in Spirit and in truth.
It’s automatic. “We don’t have to work it up.” We need to prepare a place for Him.
He will draw near to us when we truly will draw near to Him — worshiping Him in Spirit and in truth
We’re living in the new covenant now. The Holy Spirit is in us 24/7, ready to go.
I would prefer these versions:
Let’s turn our eyes from worthless things,
even the permissible that’s not beneficial.
Thank you for filling us with life.
Or
We turn our eyes from worthless things,
even the permissible that’s not beneficial.
We look to You as the source of life.

What is especially irritating about the whole abortion debate is the way the subject has been used as a political football by those on both the right and the left of the political aisle. While the national Democratic Party proudly touts itself as being “pro-choice,” (meaning, pro-murdering unborn babies), it has been the so-called “pro-life” Republican Party that is mostly to blame for legalized abortion being left as the law of the land for nearly 4 decades.
Think of it: the GOP has dominated US Supreme Court appointments for the 37 years since the Roe decision. In fact, the 1973 court that released the Roe decision was a Republican-appointed court by a 6-3 margin. The same GOP-dominated court also rendered the Doe v. Bolton Supreme Court decision reaffirming Roe.
Consider still: the “pro-life” Republican Party controlled the entire federal government from the election of 2000 to the election of 2006: six long years of GOP domination of both houses of Congress, the White House, and the US Supreme Court. And in all that time not one single unborn baby’s life was saved. NOT ONE!
And, yet, each year, Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) would introduce the Sanctity of Life bill. And each year, the bill would sit in the document room of the Capitol Building and gather dust. What would Rep. Paul’s bill do? Two things: (1) It would define unborn babies as persons under the law. (2) Under the authority of Article. III. Section. 2. of the US Constitution, it would remove abortion from the jurisdiction of the court. Had the “pro-life” Republican congress passed Dr. Paul’s bill, and the “pro-life” President, G. W. Bush, signed it into law, Roe v. Wade would have been effectively overturned.
So, why didn’t President Bush trumpet the bill? Where was the Republican leader in the Senate? Where was the Republican Speaker of the House? Where was Orrin Hatch? Where was John McCain? Where was Lindsey Graham? Where was Glenn Beck? Where was Rush Limbaugh? Where was Newt Gingrich? Where was Sean Hannity? Where was the National Right to Life Committee? Where were the tens of thousands of “pro-life” pastors and Christians?
And, yet, these same “pro-life” pastors, church members, and “conservatives” refused to support Congressman Paul for President in 2008, because he was not “conservative” enough. Actually, they opposed him because he opposed the war in Iraq, which means they would rather support a politician who promotes taking America into unconstitutional wars–but who will do nothing to overturn Roe and save the lives of unborn babies–than support a man who demands that the Constitution be followed, and actually had a constitutional plan to overturn Roe and end abortion-on-demand as a national “right.” No wonder Jesus noted that unbelievers often have it over believers in the brains department. (See Luke 16:8.)
I remind you that preserving life and liberty is the primary purpose of government (read the Declaration of Independence, for example). At this point, however, I think it is safe to conclude that to pretend there is any hope that Washington politicians (from either party) will do anything to overturn Roe is pure fantasy. At this point, it is up to State legislatures and governors to preserve life in their respective states. Several states are already beginning to do just that.
According to Fox News a few years back, 30 states were poised to pass laws outlawing abortion if and when the US Supreme Court ever reversed its Roe v. Wade decision. What they need to do is stop waiting for the US Supreme Court to reverse itself, and go ahead and stand on their own State authority and autonomy, and outlaw abortion in their states now, as legislators in South Dakota, Georgia, Michigan, Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia are already attempting to do.
Legalized abortion is a national holocaust; an affront to our national character; a contradiction of established principles subscribed to from the beginning of Western Civilization; an insult to the principles of our Declaration of Independence; a bane of our national spirit; and a stench in the nostrils of Almighty God. That we have allowed it to continue for 37 years now stands as an indictment against this generation of Americans and bodes ominously for the well-being of our posterity.

Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi

Luke: Search your feelings, Father, you can’t do this. I feel the conflict within you. Let go of your hate.
Darth Vader: It is too late for me, son. The Emperor will show you the true nature of the Force. He is your master now.
Luke: Then my father is truly dead.
……………………
The Emperor: Come, boy, see for yourself. From here, you will witness the final destruction of the Alliance and the end of your insignificant rebellion.
The Emperor: You want this, don’t you? The hate is swelling in you now. Take your Jedi weapon. Use it. I am unarmed. Strike me down with it. Give in to your anger. With each passing moment you make yourself more my servant.
Luke: No.
The Emperor: It is unavoidable. It is your destiny. You, like your father, are now mine.
……………………
The Emperor: Good. Use your aggressive feelings, boy. Let the hate flow through you.
……………………
The Emperor: [laughing] Good! Your hate has made you powerful [demon empowered – ed.]. Now, fulfill your destiny and take your father’s place at my side!

I’ve been trying to understand, lately, why jealousy and envy are in Paul’s Gal-5 list of who doesn’t go to heaven.
Perhaps this is a clue:
“When you’re in first place,
everyone wants to knock you down.”
— Bob Chapman
(Transcribed by Jeff Fenske from The Alex Jones Show, 11/20/09)
Bob even mentioned the words, “jealousy” and “envy.” Instead of wishing others well and cheering each other on, LOVING our neighbors as ourselves, knowing that we’re in this boat together, “these people are vindictive” (I believe God said). They lash out, wish each other harm, which is reverse-Christianity.
Notice how many relatives of jealousy and envy are in Paul’s Galatians-5 list:
19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, 21 envyings, murders [James-3 curses?], drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
In the body of Christ, we need each other. We are all uniquely different and are all important. And when one does spiritually well in his/her role, the others have the potential to do better. We should be cheering each other on so the body will be healthy, so we can all better function under the Head, Jesus Christ.
1 Cor. 12:
18 But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body, just as he desired. 19 If they were all one member, where would the body be? 20 But now they are many members, but one body. 21 The eye can’t tell the hand, “I have no need for you,” ….
25 …there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. 26 When one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. Or when one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
“When one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.” That’s how it’s supposed to be. So then why are the prophets getting dissed — those who speak the word of truth that would make the body more healthy, helping us to right with each other and to again be attached to and led by the Head, Jesus Christ?
1 Cor. 12 continues:
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. 28 God has set some in the assembly: first apostles, second* prophets, third teachers, then miracle workers, then gifts of healings, helps….
So where is the acknowledgment of the prophets in the church today? Are they to be relegated to the “out of sight, out of mind” corner, never to be heeded? “We don’t need prophets. We’re doing just fine, thank you. And if you try to come out of your corner, we’ll shoot you down — James-3 curse you real good. Don’t rock the boat! We like our boat.” Even though it’s sinking, because “The eye can’t tell the hand, ‘I have no need for you.'”
So if I repeat the quote above that I started this discussion with:
“When you’re in second* place,
everyone wants to knock you down.”
Why don’t pastors seek out and find those who clearly hear words from the Lord for the church? Do pastors really think they can lead without prophets?
“Our only hope is to be ONE.” We need all who are called to be leaders to function together.
Let us be ONE!
FREEeeeeeeeeeeeeee————DOM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way
This is the forgiving-others prayer that I use. It’s based upon the prayer that my Wellspring-Ministries-trained counselor had me pray numerous times. [Art Mathias’ version is in his book: Biblical Foundations of Freedom Destroying Satan’s Lies With God’s Truth]. The process continues as long as we still are hated on and James-3 cursed.
Both Jesus and Stephen prayed forgive-them prayers out loud for those who were physically acting out their curses on them, violently killing them. How could they do this unless they had been praying for their ‘enemies’ in this way all along.
This prayer is a little bit more detailed than theirs. Perhaps the more we grow in Christlikeness, the more we are full of the Holy Spirit, the simpler our prayers can be. But for now, it seems that praying this more detailed prayer out for all of those who have or are hurting us seems to be more effective in releasing the Mt.-18 tormentors from our lives.
Jesus said the tormentors will be allowed to torment us unless we forgive everyone from our heart. Matthew 18:
21 Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I don’t tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven.
23 Therefore the Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who wanted to reconcile accounts with his servants. 24 When he had begun to reconcile, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. 25 But because he couldn’t pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, with his wife, his children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. 26 The servant therefore fell down and kneeled before him, saying, ‘Lord, have patience with me, and I will repay you all!’ 27 The lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt. 28 “But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, who owed him one hundred denarii, and he grabbed him, and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’ 29 “So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will repay you!’ 30 He would not, but went and cast him into prison, until he should pay back that which was due. 31 So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were exceedingly sorry, and came and told to their lord all that was done. 32 Then his lord called him in, and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt, because you begged me. 33 Shouldn’t you also have had mercy on your fellow servant, even as I had mercy on you?’ 34 His lord was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors, until he should pay all that was due to him. 35 So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you don’t each forgive your brother from your hearts for his misdeeds.”
Paul also showed how not-forgiving gives demons a right to enter our lives. Ephesians 4:
25 Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another. 26 “Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 neither give place to the devil.
_______________
Repentance Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of The Lord Jesus, I purpose and choose to forgive (name) from my whole heart for (what they did).
I release (name). I cancel their debts and obligations to me in this issue.
Dear Lord, I ask you to forgive me for my bitterness toward (above name) in this situation.
In the name of Jesus, by the power of Your blood, I cancel all of Satan’s power and authority over me in this issue, because I have forgiven them, and You have forgiven me. It is done and over with.
Holy Spirit, please come and heal my heart. And please tell me your truth about this situation.
I now purpose and choose to forgive myself.
.
The counselor then gives the person praying an opportunity to speak what God often says. This is a great way to hear God’s voice!
Then mine asked:
Do you feel any guilt or condemnation?
Does it hurt anymore?
If there is still pain in the memory then there is still unforgiveness, Art Mathias and Wellspring teaches.
Also, the prayer my counselor had me pray says this:
[speak out loud so the dark side can hear it]
I don’t know if this is necessary or not, but it’s probably a good idea. The main thing, I think is to mean what we say and forgive even from the bottom of our hearts — to let God deal with them.
It’s amazing to me that to Jesus, it is so important for us to be right in our hearts toward everyone that He willfully allows us to be tormented by demons until we purpose and choose to forgive those who hurt us, just like He and Stephen did. Then we’ll be free!
By the way, I purposely redden the word, heart in many of my posts to emphasize that this literally means from our actually pumping hearts, that are more than just pumps. They’re the center of our emotions. And forgiving or loving others from the bottom of our hearts can even mean from a place deeper than that, which is why I have the “heart, soul, mind, gut?” category. Scientific studies show there is brainlike tissue not just in the heart, but also in the gut.
The Bible talks about the heart about 1,000 times!
Forgive and be FREE!

Art Mathias on It’s Supernatural: Spiritual Roots of Disease — Healed Through Forgiving
From: Charisma
Many people in the world today are fighting fiercely to climb the ladder of success. A great deal of their energy is focused and spent on building a reputation in the eyes of others in order to “make it big.” In the process of their pursuit, they quickly become addicted to the approval of others.
Jesus did just the opposite—He made Himself of no reputation (see Philippians 2:7). In other words, He stripped Himself of all His kingly rights and humbled Himself to become human. The Creator literally took the form of His creation. Instead of living His entire life to build a name for Himself, He endeavored to build a name for His Father.
“When you live in holiness, when you really try to stop sinning, you become braver. You become more courageous, you become a man of your word. You become a man of conviction that you’re not willing to sell out and you’re really a true knight in shining armour.”

And it called that calculation perfect love
Didn’t even know that love was bigger

And we each made an incision
Past our muscles and our bones
Saw our hearts were little stones

As we lay ’em on the granite counter top
We beat ’em up
