Jesus prayed we'd be 'ONE' with each other in Him that the world will know! (John 17)

A Prayer Sung at IHOP (wonderful, yet partly problematic. "There's too much telling God what to do"): "Turn my eyes from worthless things, even the permissible that's not beneficial. Fill me with life."

Transcribed by Jeff Fenske from a prayer sung during worship/intercession with Matt Gilman (who is on fire right now, having been touched big-time regarding his prophetic anointing on Saturday night at the IHOPU Awakening) at the IHOP Prayer Room, 2/23/10.
.

Turn my eyes from worthless things,
even the permissible that’s not beneficial.

Fill me with life.
.

This concept is wonderful, spending our time only on what’s beneficial, which is why I posted this. But I have this reservation, which I think is significant.
In my opinion, there is too much asking (even telling) God to do things for us that He has already empowered us to do.
I know I’m being picky here, but it’s been something that has concerned me for many years. Why are we putting the this on God? Why are we asking Him to do something He’s already promised He would help us do?
Whose responsibility is it to turn our eyes? Ours or God’s?
God gives us the grace (those of us who are born-again), He will always give us the power of the Holy Spirit so we will be able to turn our own eyes.
He won’t do it for us, but He’ll help us and empower us to do it, by His grace.
And regarding asking/telling God: “Fill me with life.”
He already promised He would respond in this way:
“Draw near to God and He’ll draw near to you.” (James 4)
He will. We don’t have to ask Him to, tell Him to, beg Him to. He will when we draw near to Him in holiness, right with each other — worshiping Him in Spirit and in truth.
It’s automatic. “We don’t have to work it up.” We need to prepare a place for Him.
He will draw near to us when we truly will draw near to Him — worshiping Him in Spirit and in truth
We’re living in the new covenant now. The Holy Spirit is in us 24/7, ready to go.
I would prefer these versions:

Let’s turn our eyes from worthless things,
even the permissible that’s not beneficial.

Thank you for filling us with life.

Or

We turn our eyes from worthless things,
even the permissible that’s not beneficial.

We look to You as the source of life.

How did they do it at the Asbury Revival when God showed up BIG-TIME?

Asbury Revival, 1970: “Dr. Kinlaw, I am a liar. Now what do I do?”
Let’s get right with each other and then we can worship!!!
Mt. 5:

23 “If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

Wes Hall: Many ministers weren't even called into the ministry. "The reason you've gone to seminary is to prove to God…how dedicated you are." • "Some of you should have been in ministry, and you went into business; and you tried to become the best you could to earn your father's approval in the natural."

Transcribed by Jeff Fenske from the IHOPU Student Awakening, 2/19/10

“I felt like there are some watching on the webcast. There are some watching right now in seminaries. And the reason you’ve gone to seminary is to prove to God how diligent you are, how dedicated you are.

Some of you went into ministry because your heart was not settled in God’s love. And you said, ‘if I go to seminary, if I get trained for ministry, if I prove to God through serving Him and serving His people how dedicated I am, I will receive His love.

Some of you weren’t even called into the ministry. You were called into the marketplace. You were called into government. You were called into business. You were called into education and science. But you think: ‘if I go into ministry, somehow I’ll earn God’s approval and I’ll be able to encounter His love.’

Lord, I ask that You would set them free, God. Set them free from that spirit of performance that tries to enslave them.

For some of you, it’s because you’ve had fathers who tried to put expectations on you, and you’ve been serving those expectations all your life.

Some of you should have been in ministry and you went into business, and you tried to become the best you could to earn your father’s approval in the natural…”

Wes Hall: "God can deliver us from everything except an unrepentant heart." Let's forgive and be free!

Transcribed by Jeff Fenske from the IHOPU Student Awakening, 2/17/10

“God can deliver us from everything except an unrepentant heart.

I felt like there’s some in this room tonight,
you need to repent of bitterness.

You’ve allowed a root of bitterness to grow up in you….

Beloved, that bitterness not only defiles your own spirit,
but it defiles many.

The Bible says, the book of Hebrews said:
Do not allow a root of bitterness to grow up
that would defile many
[via James-3 curses – ed.].”

FALSE DOCTRINE: Why won't Christian leaders even mention Hebrews 10:26? An IHOP example — so close and yet so far away — from full REVIVAL :(

I LOVE the IHOPU Student Awakening, but could it be that one hugely false doctrine is keeping this move from becoming the catalyst for the Third Great Awakening — what they are so fervently calling for — what we so desperately need?
It’s God’s heart to come in His manifest presence, but we must be right….

So close and yet so far away from what Hebrews 10:26-39 fully says.
.
The entire text follows Allen’s quote
My comments in brackets
Transcribed by Jeff Fenske from the IHOP Revival, 2/6/10
.

The president of IHOPU, Allen Hood, mentions Hebrews 10:29 without stating verse 26 at all, coming to the opposite conclusion that the writer of Hebrews did:

“…there’s that willful disobedience where you have grace as licentiousness, that’s caused you to be presumptuous and over-familiar with the wrong view of the love of God, what we call ‘sloppy grace,’ that doesn’t understand the cost of your sin — that causes you to run quickly to God, but you don’t tremble on the inside. You don’t tremble, understanding that your sin took Jesus to the cross.

You don’t understand that every time you enter into willful disobedience [Hebrews 10:26] you trample overfoot the Son of God [Hebrews 10:29], again and again and again. You don’t tremble on the inside. …

You need to know something. If Jesus in His love doesn’t bear the wrath of God for you, the Bible tells us He will dispense it upon you. But He will not ignore unforgiven sin.

And so I notice that we give altar calls and we call people up, and they get rid of their shame and they don’t change the way they dress. We call people up; they get rid of their shame; they receive the love of God again because He’s so kind! He even received you after you trampled Him again. You received the love of God and then you dressed the same way to put out the signals of the old life you used to live. What’s up with that?

You talk the same way. You give the same signals, as if His love wasn’t so holy and precious — the thousandth time He forgave you. Why do you dress the same way? Why do you talk the same way? And yet you really felt His love. Is it because you really don’t tremble anymore when you run to the altar?

And thus you are forgiven tonight but you’re not clean [This is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what Hebrews 10:26-39 and many other scriptures clearly say], because you have a fortress of darkness of over-familiarity with God [this over-familiarity is mostly because 99+% of church leaders aren’t teaching the full gospel. They’re omitting key texts. In this case, Allen is teaching the truth about Hebrews 10:29 without even mentioning the clear concept in verse 26].

You have a fortress built up in you, but it’s not shame. It’s actually willful disobedience [for which verse 26 says…].”

– Allen Hood, President of IHOPU

Hebrews 10:26-39

26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which will devour the adversaries. 28 A man who disregards Moses’ law [old covenant] dies without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses. 29 How much worse punishment, do you think, will he be judged worthy of, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant with which he was sanctified [new covenant] an unholy thing, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know him who said, “Vengeance belongs to me,” says the Lord, “I will repay.” Again, “The Lord will judge his people.” 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. 32 But remember the former days, in which, after you were enlightened, you endured a great struggle with sufferings; 33 partly, being exposed to both reproaches and oppressions; and partly, becoming partakers with those who were treated so. 34 For you both had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your possessions, knowing that you have for yourselves a better possession and an enduring one in the heavens.
35 Therefore don’t throw away your boldness, which has a great reward. 36 For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise. 37 “In a very little while, He who comes will come, and will not wait. 38 But the righteous will live by faith. [Rom. 1:17; Gal. 3:11] If he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” 39 But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the saving of the soul.

The Prayer Room at IHOP: How to navigate the Archives player to watch different sessions or to pause, repeat, …

UPDATE 4/2: IHOP’s Archives Player Has Disappeared

————

I thought I’d share what I’ve learned about IHOP’s video archive viewer so people can see different sessions or move around in the same one. Not everyone has the gift of geek.
FINDING THE WEBSTREAM
First, starting only in January of this year, IHOP is now offering to everyone the ability to watch the 24/7 Live webstream for free!
Click on this icon at IHOP’s home page.

To see earlier sessions, or to be able to stop, repeat, or move around in the session, click on one of the Archives players: low, medium or high quality.
When the player opens, we’re watching the Prayer Room live. The slider will be all the way to the right, and the time will be counting upward until it reaches the two-hour mark, at which time it will start over again at 0:00. A new team will already be playing in their 2-hour session.
To go back in time and view earlier sessions, click the Jump Back icon in the lower left that looks something like |< .  To start this session over, click it just once. To navigate to the beginning of the previous session, click it twice. And you can move the slider anywhere in the two hour scale to try to find something you’d like. If this isn’t the session for you, keep going back until you find one.
Clicking on the question mark (on the player) opens a FAQ page that has some helpful info. I always set the player to full volume and usually open it to full screen (which isn’t quite ‘full’).
THE WORSHIP TEAMS
Incidentally, Matt Gilman is hot, hot, hot right now! He’s just personally really going for it right now! He and his team are awesome! Not just talented musicians, but their hearts are singing to God. “My soul followeth hard after You!”
I see now that this is an intercession session, heartfelt prayer for Haiti.
I also really like Cory Asbury’s team, and Laura Hackett is simply amazing. Justin Rizzo often has string players on his team, which I really like: string bass, cello, viola and/or violin. Sometimes this is so sweet. And there is this guy who plays a stringed instrument in front of him with hammerlike sticks. If anyone knows what that instrument is, I’d like to know. [Thanks to comment #1, below, I can now say it’s a hammered dulcimer.]
A WAY TO NAVIGATE FORWARD

If you put your computer to sleep with the player open, or just have the player stopped while the computer is on for a number of hours. Now we can move forward to sessions later than the one we had been viewing by clicking on the Jump Forward >| icon.
WATCH THE IHOPU AWAKENING HERE TOO!
Yes, this is where I watch the IHOPU Awakening. It’s so nice to be able to pause the broadcast to watch the rest of the 6-hour meeting another time. Or we can watch something again. This is how I’ve transcribed some of Wes Hall’s remarkable comments.
THIS VIDEO PLAYER IS SIMPLY STREAMING
Though this looks like it could be downloading the music into the player on our computer, apparently it just streams what we’re watching, and then dumps the data as we move on. THis explains why there is always a bit of lag each time we move the slider (and wait for the new data to come).
IF THE PLAYER GLITCHES
Every so often, I refresh my browser, and sometimes even restart the computer if the browser bogs down or the player doesn’t work right. It helps to have lots of RAM (memory) installed if you’ll be having a number of programs open at the same time. It’s a good idea to empty the web browser’s cache at least daily.
THANK YOU IHOP!
I would like to thank Mike Bickle for pioneering this amazing endeavor and all of the people involved. There is a DONATE tab “to keep the fire burning.”
WE WORSHIP YOU JESUS 24/7 — WORLDWIDE!
It’s all about ONE happening!

[video] Mike Bickle: Making a Purity Covenant so the HOLY Spirit can come … to bless His heart — that we may be ONE!

8/16/08
(15 months before the outpouring)

He’s about to release a Spirit of glory on the church.

But when He releases a Spirit of glory
He’s going to require a greater standard of agreement
with His heart and with His word
… which we call holiness.

Because if His glory comes
and the people are not in agreement with His glory
,
it is more trouble

because the Lord comes
not only as the God of power
but the God Who is zealous
for purity and love and holiness
.”

“God promised His Son a people
that would love Jesus
in the way that Jesus loved them

Making a Purity Covenant: Seven Practical Commitments

  1. prophetic word for IHOP-KC (march 23, 2008)
7 To the…church in Philadelphia write…, “8 I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you…have kept My word…10 You have kept My command to persevere…11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. (Rev. 3:7-11)
    1. The Lord will visit IHOP-KC with an open door of glory in the spirit and a door of ministry to the nations. When Jesus opens a door of glory to release more of His manifest presence then He requires more agreement with His heart (a higher standard of obedience). We are at a crossroads as the Lord will open a door of His glory. This is a promise with a warning (of judgment).
    • 51 You shall see heaven open, and the angels…ascending and descending… (Jn. 1:51)
    • 9 How is it that you (Sapphira) agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? The feet of those who have buried your husband (Ananias) are at the door, they will carry you out. (Acts 5:9)
    1. An open door to the nations causes the “spiritual DNA” of a ministry to be imparted with its good qualities and its deficiencies. Immorality is like an infection or virus in the spiritual DNA.
  1. Jesus requires that the Church not tolerate immorality
    1. The church of Thyatira was affirmed for growing in love and faith and enduring persecution. Yet, they lacked zeal to take a stand against all allowance of immorality in their spiritual family.
    • 19 I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience (endurance)…20 I have a few things against you, because you allow (tolerate, NIV) that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess…to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality… (Rev. 2:19-20)
    1. Immorality is “all sexual activity” that is outside the marriage covenant whether heterosexual or homosexual in all areas of life including physical, verbal or technological (internet), etc.
    2. Immorality in the Church grieves Jesus’ heart, injuries our heart and family (natural and spiritual) and gives Satan “legal doors of access” into our lives. Immorality causes Jesus to lose part of His inheritance in His people as well as part of their inheritance in Him.
    3. The church of Pergamos was affirmed for holding fast to Jesus’ name in a city so wicked that it was described as the place of Satan’s throne. Yet, they lacked zeal to confront immorality in the ministries of those who held to the doctrine of Balaam. For the story of Balaam see Num. 22-25. Jesus’ correction of a ministry or a person is not rejection but an offer of deliverance.
    • 13 I know…you dwell where Satan’s throne is. You hold fast to My name…14 I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before…Israel to…commit sexual immorality…16 Repent, or I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth. (Rev. 2:13-16)
    1. The sword of Jesus’ mouth refers to His power being released in our life by the command of His mouth. If we receive the sword of His Word it will free us but if we reject it then it will hurt us. He sends His sword as our friend or foe, depending on how we respond.
    2. Judgment begins in God’s house with God’s sword. If we voluntarily judge ourselves with the sword of God’s Word then He need not judge us in a more severe way with His sword.
    • 17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God… (1 Pet. 4:17)
    1. The option to reverse God’s judgment is offered to all who repent (Rev. 2:16, 23). Repentance dramatically changes things as it positions us to receive God’s mercy and our full inheritance.
    • 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart— these, O God, You will not despise. (Ps. 51:17)
    1. Jesus promised to make a way of escape for us both as a movement and as individuals.
    • 13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; God is faithful, who
    • will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. (1 Cor. 10:13)
    1. IHOP-KC made a covenant before the Lord on March 24, 2008 to consistently, comprehensively and tenderly resist all forms of immorality in our midst. In this covenant, we asked the Lord to open a door of glory with His sword of deliverance or His sword of judgment (if we refuse Him).
    • 10 It is in my heart (Hezekiah) to make a covenant with the LORD…11 My sons, do not be negligent now, for the LORD has chosen you to stand before Him…15 And they gathered their brethren, sanctified themselves…to cleanse the house of the LORD. (2 Chr. 29:10-15)
    1. The Lord will release bold zeal and clarity of conviction that is filled with the tender mercy of the Bridal paradigm. We seek purity that flows from humility and tenderness not angry holiness. We do not have to choose between zeal for high standards and tender mercy. We can have both.
    • 13 Mercy triumphs over judgment. (Jas 2:13)
    1. The Lord promised to release the “grace of immunity” which includes “amnesty” for our past failures before we made this covenant on March 24. Immunity is the state of being immune to a disease or the condition that permits resistance to disease. Amnesty is a pardon for offenses granted before the trial because of an act of forgiveness for past offenses.
    2. The Lord wants us to have confidence in God that we will not come under His judgment for our past sins as we make this covenant together. Confidence in God is essential to spiritual vitality. He wants us to know the immunity from the “infected thinking” of the accumulated affect of shame (for past failure), fear of rejection (in being exposed), hopelessness (of experiencing a breakthrough), and of giving up on our highest calling. He wants our commitment to be strengthened by confidence as we proceed together. We are to have solidarity as a spiritual family in our unified stand to bring this “Purity Covenant” to the nations knowing the enemy will strike hard in a counterattack against us.
  1. seven personal commitments before the Lord (6 month commitment)
16 Confess your trespasses to one another…that you may be healed. (Jas 5:16)
    1. Commitment #1: I commit to refuse to participate in conversations that promote or joke about immorality. If I do speak in this way, I will confess to those I was conversing with that I sinned.
    2. Commitment #2: I commit to confess to the same trusted friend (who embraces this covenant) each time I view pornography or have any sexual contact with someone (not my spouse).
    3. Commitment #3: I commit to register with the technology of choice that promotes the wisdom and safety of accountability whether or not I struggle with pornography. Accountability Software: These programs track your internet activity and send an email to the accountability partner that you choose. If you uninstall the software it triggers a report to your partner. See www.covenanteyes.com ($2.50 per month); www.x3watch.com (Free); www.integrity.com (free); www.accountable2you.com (free). Web Filtering Software: Programs that block sexual content including pornography, gambling, violence: www.integrity.com ($49.95); www.bsafehome.com ($49.95); www.intego.com (For Mac’s); www.cyberpatrol.com (39.95).
    4. Commitment #4: I commit to hold any confession of my friend’s failure in strict confidentiality. If I do speak it to another then I commit to tell it to the one who confessed their sin to me. The one who breaks confidence should confess also to the one to whom he broke the confidence.
    5. Commitment #5: If I “repeatedly” stumble in immorality, I will show the fruit of repentance by going with my friend to confess to the leadership and then accept the boundaries they give me.
    6. Commitment #6: I commit to share with the leadership if my friend “repeatedly” stumbles in immorality. I will first tell my friend before sharing with a leader to convince him to go with me.
    • 15 If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. 16 If he will not hear, take with you one or two more…17 If he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. (Mt. 18:15-17)
    1. Commitment #7: For leaders: I commit to follow the process of bringing those who ‘continue’ in immorality to the appropriate level of “discipline” instead of offering them “unsanctified mercy”.
    • 20 Those who continue in sin, rebuke in the presence of all… (1 Tim 5:20, NAS)
    • 5 Deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. (1 Cor. 5:5)
    1. We will not bring public shame to anyone who repents. We hope to never expose one’s sin publicly. There are many levels of discipline that do not require personal exposure.
    • 8 Above all things have fervent love…for love will cover a multitude of sins. (1 Pet. 4:8)
    • 9 He who covers a transgression seeks love… (Prov. 17:9)

Wes Hall: It's Not Just Porn! "You're asking for power and there are areas of hidden compromise in your life. … I'm not talking about the R-rated movies. I'm talking about the PG-13s … certain sitcoms, TV shows where your spirit is being defiled."

Transcribed by Jeff Fenske from IHOP awakening, 1/2/10 PM

Some of you say: ‘God, commission me,’ but there’s pockets of darkness in your lives — secret, hidden sin.

I felt like the Lord gave me two words: lust and perversion — lust and perversion, immoral thinking — agreement with darkness — in areas of lust and pornography and perversion and perverse behavior, talking and lewd talk, immoral talk — filthy jokes — things that you watch, compromise in the things that you watch.

I’m not talking about the R-rated movies. I’m talking about the PG-13s — where you feed your spirit on perversion. I’m talking about certain sitcoms, TV shows where your spirit is being defiled by thinking in the ways of the world.

There is no room. There is nothing that darkness has to do with light. And you’re asking for power and there are areas of hidden compromise in your life.

The Lord is saying to you now: there is a window to repent. There is grace to repent and turn from that.

What has darkness to do with light? You’re saying, “God, send me as a messenger of light, but there’s a pocket of darkness in your soul.

I’m not talking about great introspection: “Lord, where is it?” I’m talking about those things that the Holy Spirit brings to mind right now. …

You need to confess that as sin before the Lord, right now. I encourage you to confess it before the Lord, right now. Make a determination in your heart to turn from it, right now.”

Mike Bickle: Prophetic Dream: Victorious Church in the End-Times (Rev. 12:7-12)

I. PROPHETIC DREAM ON FEB. 13, 2009

A. I was speaking at a conference in a baseball park inside a large fair ground. About 40,000 people were present. Many leaders and their people (from many “charismatic” streams) were present. I saw a certain leader who was representative of other leaders in the Body of Christ who seek to walk in God’s power and who walk with an excellent spirit. We were enjoying warm fellowship together.
B. I preached on prayer, God’s power and end-time judgment. I spoke at two afternoon sessions. In the break between the sessions, some were debating on what I was preaching. Some IHOP-KC people debated each other and some were speaking to believers from different ministry streams. They were debating in a friendly way about God’s power and His end-time judgment. There was no hostility, but only sincere dialogue with humility and love. It was enjoyable and intellectually stimulating but none of the different points of view stirred up real faith and revelation.
C. Immediately, as I finished the second session at 5 PM, I saw a token of a few of the events that John prophesied about in Rev. 12:7-9 when war breaks out in heaven between Satan and Michael the archangel. The result is that Satan will be cast to the earth at the beginning of the Tribulation.
7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan…he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him… (Rev. 12:7-9)
D. I did not see Satan, but only demonic principalities being cast to the earth. They looked like large snakes (over 100 yards long and 50 feet thick). Each had a large head that looked like a dragon. Many of them were coming from the sky down to the earth.
E. Every one at the conference was filled with panic. Most were terrified. No one, including me, had understanding or faith that was mature enough to respond in the power or confidence that I had just preached on. I ran as I felt the terror of the event. The leaders and their people felt terror. All wanted to quickly get out of there. Most were in confusion, including the IHOP-KC people.
F. These snake-like demonic principalities and demonic hosts with them were filled with rage against the people. They were angry and even humiliated about being confined to the earth. Satan’s rage is related to his short amount of time before going to prison (Rev. 20:1-3).
12 Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath (fury), because he knows that he has a short time…17 The dragon was enraged… he went to make war with the rest…who have the testimony of Jesus… (Rev. 12:12, 17)
G. Soot or wet, muddy, thick ash was raining down from the sky. It darkened the sky as it fell on the people who were running. I ran out of the vast fair grounds to the park offices (at the entrance). Wet ash was all over me as I ran. Many did not get out. They were bitten by the large snakes.
H. There were evil policeman at the entrance. They told me, “You have to go back into the fair grounds or we will put you in jail.” They were calloused about the danger I would face by going back into the fair grounds. I then understood they were in the Antichrist’s system. I was in a dilemma. I thought, “I just escaped from the most intense danger imaginable and now I have to go back in”. There will be no natural way out of this crisis except by the power of the Spirit.
I. When standing by the police I thought, “I wish IHOP would have taken the events in Rev. 12 more seriously and therefore, prepared more urgently in the early days when we had time. I said to myself, “the debate about power is much bigger than the power we actually walk in”. I woke up with urgency that the IHOP leadership needs greater zeal to walk in the things of the Spirit.
J. After I woke up, I was clear that fear and confusion will NOT be the condition of the entire Body of Christ when the events of Rev. 12:7 literally occur. Many will have understanding and be in a place of mature faith. The Lord was showing me what it would be like if these events happened today with the Church in its current condition (in being unprepared in understanding and faith).
K. The message of the dream was that IHOP needed to be more urgent in going deep in our walk with Jesus, in growing in faith to operate more in the Holy Spirit right now, and to eat the scroll in order to have much more understanding now and for that specific hour.
20 The anger of the LORD will not turn back until He has executed and performed the thoughts of His heart. In the latter days you will understand it perfectly. (Jer. 23:20)
L. I felt strongly that IHOP and other streams in the Body have “empty” arguments about power and insight into the end-time drama. Most arguments, in either direction, do not actually prepare people to go deeper in Jesus, His Word and Spirit. They are not helpful, thus they are empty.
M. IHOP is simply too immature to give time to theoretical debates. In this dream, the Lord was warning me to set my face toward Him and His Word and to refuse the temptation to invest time in seeking to look wise to others. What is coming is so much more intense than we imagine. Those with the most insight do not understand the intensity of the events in Rev. 12:7-12.
N. The point of the dream: I and the IHOP leadership are not mature enough in our understanding to entertain debates and casual arguments that will arise much more in the Church in the future.
O. The “now” word of God must be confirmed with power. The only way to be culturally relevant in society is to move in power to confirm the Word. Without this, many in the Church are looking for ministries with trendy language and clothes, interesting technology, or to talk about current affairs to identify together. Many are trapped in an abyss of entertainment.
P. We will only penetrate that bubble by power and the real fear of the Lord. People will not get free from the vice of our pop culture without it. People must walk away from their gatherings knowing that He is involved in their lives in power. We must experience manifestation of His majesty that makes us tremble and His kindness that moves us to repentance and servanthood.

II. A LITERAL WAR WILL BREAK OUT IN HEAVEN IN THE END TIMES

A. Some teach that the war in heaven described in Rev. 12:7 occurred at the cross and that Satan is now confined to the earth. Satan’s host operate in the heavenly places in this age.
12 We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities…against the rulers of the darkness…against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Eph. 6:12)
B. Christ defeated Satan at the cross. However, the full scope of His victory has not yet been fully manifested on earth. At Christ’s ascension, Jesus was seated at God’s right hand, far above all authority (Eph. 1:20-22). Jesus disarmed the demonic powers and made a public spectacle of them (Col. 2:15). The “already and not yet” paradox of the Kingdom is now operating.
C. The windows of the heaven will be opened and demonic principalities will be punished. Demonic spirits and evil kings are also put in prison like Satan as prophesied by Isaiah.
18 The windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth are shaken. 19 The earth is violently broken…the earth is shaken exceedingly…20 Its transgression shall be heavy upon it…21 In that day that the LORD will punish on high the host of exalted ones (demonic principalities), and on the earth the kings of the earth. 22 They (demons and kings) will be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit (bottomless pit), and will be shut up in the prison (Rev. 20:1-3); after many days (1,000 years) they will be punished (Lake of Fire)…the LORD of hosts will reign on Mount Zion (Millennium)… (Isa. 24:18-23)
D. One of the most unique dynamics in the Tribulation is that Satan and all his demons will be cast to the earth (Rev. 12:9) and he will give his throne to the Antichrist (Rev. 13:2). Hundreds of millions of demons now in the bottomless pit will be released (Rev. 9:3, 16). Billions will be engaged in Satan worship. There will be more demonized people on earth than at any time in history.
2 The Dragon (Satan) gave him (Antichrist) his power, his throne … (Rev. 13:2)
21 There will be Great Tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world…22 Unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved… (Mt. 24:21-22)
E. The saints will overcome Satan in the Tribulation by the blood of Jesus, our testimony and commitment to Jesus even unto death.
10 I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren…has been cast down. 11 They overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. (Rev. 12:10-11)
F. The Praying Church will overcome Satan and the Antichrist (Rev. 12:11; 15:2; 2:7, 11, 17, 26; 3:5, 12, 21; 21:7). The miracles of Exodus and Acts will be combined and multiplied on a global level. Fear need NOT dominate our spirit and extinguish our faith. We need not fear the Tribulation as powerless victims seeking to escape it.
12 The works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do… (Jn. 14:12)
G. End-time believers will engage in the prayer of faith to bind and loose according to God’s will. This passage is fulfilled on earth in the Tribulation with a victorious Church operating in power.
18 On this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. (Mt. 16:18-19)
H. The Antichrist will be the greatest oppressor the world has ever seen. Isa. 42 is one of the main Second Coming passages. It emphasizes justice. People do not rejoice in judgment until an oppressor is in power. Jesus brings justice to the earth in context to the Antichrist’s oppression.
I. Jesus will only confront the oppressor to the measure that prayers of the saints ascend in faith.
4 The prayers of the saints, ascended before God…5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth… (Rev. 8:4-5)
7 Shall God not avenge (bring justice) His own elect who cry out day and night to Him…8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily (in the Tribulation). (Lk. 18:7-8)
J. The most dramatic events in world history will occur in context to the greatest prayer movement that contends against the greatest oppression to see the greatest justice movement fulfilled across the whole earth. What is released in fullness then is released in part now.

III. JESUS WILL SUPERNATURALLY HELP THE CHURCH COME TO VICTORY (REV. 14)

A. The message of Rev. 14 is that Jesus will supernaturally anoint the Church to walk in victory.

B. In Rev. 14:1-5, Jesus will stand on Mount Zion in Jerusalem with 144,000 prophetic singers. Rev. 14:6-13 reveals four prophetic promises and proclamations that the Spirit will release conviction on and will confirm with signs and wonders to strengthen His people.

1. In Rev. 14:6-7, we will receive angelic assistance and great power that we may succeed in preaching the Gospel to all nations in the presence of hostility (Mt. 24:14; Rev. 7:9).

2. In Rev. 14:8, the anointed proclamation of the defeat of the Harlot Babylon stirs our faith.

3. In Rev. 14:9-11, the anointed proclamation of the certainty of eternal judgment coming on all who worship the Antichrist will embolden the saints to resist even unto death.

4. In Rev. 14:12-13, the anointed proclamation of the certainty of receiving eternal rewards for being faithful will strengthen the Church.

5. In Rev. 14:14-20, we see the two different end-time harvests to be released by prayer. The harvest of souls is seen in Rev. 14:14-16 and the harvest of sin in Rev. 14:17-20. These show the results of prayers that release power for salvation and the removal of evil.
