Pickering’s translation of Mark 16:17-18 (compare to NKJV and NIV, below):

17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages; 18 they will remove ‘snakes’;c and if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them at all;d they will lay hands on sick people, and they will get well.”e

In the NKJV, Mark 16:18 reads like this: “they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”a

The NIV renders ‘they will pick up snakes with their hands’, the ‘with their hands’ being based on just over 2% of the Greek manuscripts. As we know, there are those who take this translation literally, and believe that they must handle poisonous snakes in obedience to God. I respect their sincerity, but believe they have been misled by a faulty translation.

My comment:

The main problem is unrepentant lust of the heart, which Jesus said in Matthew 5 will send us to hell, so we have to do whatever we need to in order to not lust in our heart. Committing an act with a person is a next, deeper step. Lusting in the heart allows demons to drive lust.

Pastors teach “once saved always saved” and “only believe” instead of teaching what the Bible really says about needing to abide in Christ to have no condemnation, which we have if we walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. These are the sons of God, Paul then continues to say in Romans 8.

Look at Paul’s two lists in Galatians 5. Most “Christians” are in the “will not inherit the kingdom” list, and many don’t even care about what Romans 8, Galatians 5 and almost 90 New Testament verses actually say about who goes to heaven. They’re that lust addicted.

Paul says an overseer MUST be “HOLY” in Titus 1, which means purity of the heart, not just externally pure actions. Then we have the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5, after which Paul says “Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” Most pastors and born-again “Christians” today are backslidden by choice, not in Paul’s “those who belong to Christ” list.

Paul soon after says: “Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”

It starts in the heart. Church leaders MUST be “HOLY” in their hearts to be able to lead others into real Christianity: Ephesians 4:11-16.

Wescott and Hort pulled off an amazing deception 150 years ago, convincing scholars and Bible publishers to accept the Egyptian Greek manuscripts in which many words and entire verses were intentionally removed by manipulative scribes. So most of today’s Bible translations have key words missing.

Sadly, today’s scholars aren’t willing to correct this, probably because they like the deletions, since it fits with their “once saved always saved” gospel (removal of Romans 8:1B) and cessationism (these verses).

The Gideons Bible recently corrected their ESV version to add the missing verses, with permission of the ESV publishers.

Christians haven’t read the Talmud, so have no idea what’s happening to them.

It’s the Talmudic, antichrist revolutionary spirit mentioned in Romans 11 — “enemies of the gospel,” “a partial hardening… until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.” The Talmudic goal is to destroy Christian civilization so they can rule over all Gentiles when their “messiah” is seated on his throne in the temple in Jerusalem (2 Thess. 2:1-12). No one will be able to buy or sell unless they take the mark of the beast. Many of the faithful will lose their heads.

Romans 11 is very clear:

How many pregnant Palestinian women have been murdered by Israeli attacks in Gaza since last October? Answer me!

Why are the “Right to Life” Republican activists who are seeking to end abortions in the US applauding the baby butcher Netanyahu and giving him a standing ovation in Congress when his military is responsible for the abortion of many hundreds of Palestinian babies by bomb and bullet?

Given that the Palestinian people are treated as though they were sub-human, this moral question isn’t even asked. The Republican party is spiritually sick and double-minded.

GOP “Christians” have a callous and cruel, pagan-like disregard for unborn Arab babies and their mothers in Palestine.

Their “Right to Life” morality is turned on and off depending on whose babies are being aborted, and by whom. If they are American infants and the abortionists are physicians, Republican Churchianity is in an uproar. If the dead are Palestinians killed in their mother’s wombs (along with their mothers), by American-supplied bombs and bullets, they could not care less.

Truly, the Palestinians of Gaza are the least of humans in the eyes of a Right wing America that loudly professes its fidelity to Christ.

Yet Jesus said whatever you do to these, the least of my brethren, you do to me.

John MacArthur also teaches the serious false doctrine of “once saved always saved.” He’s a major false teacher leading many astray, including many pastors.

This passage in Hebrews 6 is probably directly related. The Hebrews were facing martyrdom, which they could escape if they publicly renounced Christ. The writer to Hebrews plainly says this is unpardonable.

Hebrews 6:4 For concerning those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance; seeing they crucify the Son of God for themselves again, and put him to open shame.

Revelation 14:

9 Another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a great voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead, or on his hand, 10 he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is prepared unmixed in the cup of his anger. We need to be ready to lose our heads. Taking the Mark is NOT an option!

NOTE: I definitely do not support all of Michael Brown’s views and practices. Michael supports the anti-Christ, NWO, Talmudic system that’s taking us down, while having admitted that Jesus strongly rebuked the Pharisees, who were Talmudists.

Most of what he says here is good, but his idea that the apostles were speaking in Armenian in Acts 2 and not in tongues is bizarre.

Biblically speaking, tongues are mainly people’s personal prayer language in which the Holy Spirit speaks through people mysteries that “no one understands,” which builds up the speaker.

The most popular, current false teaching says it can only be an Acts-2 experience in which foreigners understand, which the rest of the texts clearly refute.

Michael Brown mentions the blessing with the spirit aspect (verses 16 and 17).

I would add that I believe a main reason that Christians are built up when praying in tongues is because tongues is often perfectly praying against evil spirits, perhaps to angels in their language, who then deal with the demons. And this may be why Paul says tongues are praying in the language of men and angels in 1 Cor. 13:1. Praying in the Spirit can set us and others FREE!

My take: People are denying that miracles still exist today because hardly any charismatics actually abide in Christ, because of the false doctrines of “once saved only saved,” “only believe,” and “it’s hard to lose one’s salvation” [Michael Brown teaches the latter]. The fear of God is now only “reverence.” Sin is rampant, so it’s easy for the woke to mock “Christians” now.

I wonder how many charismatics still pray in tongues regularly. Most ‘Christian’ men seem to be too busy lusting, walking according to the flesh instead of the Spirit, disqualifying them from the Kingdom.

In theological circles, it’s a “Johnny come lately.” Even the historic creeds, conspicuously, don’t mention it.
