Celebrating Fathers
In honor of Father’s Day, first hour guest Dr. John Gray celebrated dads, the nobility of fatherhood, and the importance of their role in the family. According to Gray, the quest for equality among the sexes has left men devalued in many progressive countries around the world. “There’s a slant pushing men down,” he said.
Gray presented some research showing how fathers benefit the family unit, and children in particular. Children are better adjusted when parents stay together or, if divorced, they have shared time with the father, he revealed, adding that instances of ADD/ADHD and other challenges are greatly reduced when a father is around. Studies also show that dopamine (a motivating brain chemical) levels rise in children in the presence of a father, Gray noted. “Children need that masculine energy—it’s a protective energy, which is calm, it’s present, it’s decisive, it doesn’t tend to get upset about things easily,” he continued.
Gray encouraged listeners to foster an appreciation of men and learn to value the wonderful qualities of masculinity.

Rand Paul: ‘I’m not a pacifist’
Kentucky Senator Rand Paul said on Friday at the Freedom and Faith Conference that, although he is “not a pacifist,” he thinks “it’s unacceptable to have, and appoint, leaders who really show no reluctance for war.”
“I’m a Christian,” Rand said. “I’m not always a good one because I struggle still. I struggle with my faith and I struggle with my doubts. I’m not naive enough to say that ‘oh we’re gonna end war.’ I’m not a pacifist.”

Did Ron Wyatt find the actual Ark of the Covenant?

Ron and his sons, Danny and Ronny, traveled to Israel. From there they drove to the western shore of the Gulf of Aqaba for scuba diving in search of chariot parts in the Red Sea.
Ron became sun-burned and was forced to discontinue his diving in the Red Sea.
While waiting for his return flight to the United States, Ron was walking along an ancient stone quarry, known to some as “the Calvary Escarpment.” As he was walking, he began conversing with a local authority about Roman antiquities. At one point, they stopped walking, and Ron’s left hand pointed to a site being used as a trash dump and he stated, “That’s Jeremiah’s Grotto and the Ark of the Covenant is in there.”
Even though these words had come from his own mouth and his own hand had pointed, he had not consciously done or said these things. In fact, it was the first time he had ever thought about excavating for the Ark.
The man with him, quite out of character, also reacted strangely. He said, “That’s wonderful! We want you to excavate, and we’ll furnish your permits, put you up in a place to stay and even furnish your meals!”
At that time Ron declined the man’s offer until he could see if there was any reason to believe the Ark could be in that location.
Ron returned home and began some serious research and study.
Research:
Why Would the Ark Be in That Location?
In searching the Bible, Ron found the last mention in the Bible of the Ark’s location in Jerusalem about the year 621 BC, just 35 years before the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple by Nebuchadnezzar.
This indicated that the Ark disappeared from the Divine record sometime between 621 BC and 586 BC. Since the temple was completely destroyed, there is no doubt that it was NOT there after that time.
Ron found in 2 Kings 24:13, 2Kings 25:13-18, and Jeremiah 52:17-23, a very detailed account of the items taken to Babylon from the “king’s house” and from the “house of the Lord”- it even mentioned small items like “spoons”, etc. But the Ark isn’t mentioned. Neither is it mentioned in the lists of things brought back from Babylon in the book of Ezra.
We are told in Jeremiah 28:3 that everything taken to Babylon from the “house of the Lord” would be returned, and since the Ark wasn’t among the returned items, this indicates that it was never taken there.
Shishak and Sennacherib also took items from the “house of the Lord” but they did not include the Ark of the Covenant.
Ron’s Theory:
The Ark of the Covenant was hidden just prior to the destruction of the temple when the city was surrounded by the Babylonian siege wall.
The Ark of the Covenant was hidden somewhere within the confines of the city wall of Jerusalem and the Babylonian siege wall.
The entire city of Jerusalem and the temple were destroyed in 586 BC by the Babylonians, so the Ark could have only escaped destruction or captivity by not being anywhere in the city.
The site Ron had pointed to was, he believed, outside of the ancient city wall and within the siege wall.
Two non-Biblical sources, 2 Maccabees and Parilipomena of Jeremiah, stated that the sacred objects from the temple were hidden by Jeremiah before the destruction of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar.
Ron’s conclusion:
It was supposition based on study, but still only supposition. Yet, it was enough to base a decision on. He decided to go ahead with the excavation.

Do you believe that parents should be able to spank their children? Do you ever express that opinion to others? If so, then you could be sent to prison. Sadly, that is exactly what happened to one pastor up in Wisconsin recently.
A minister named Philip Caminiti was sentenced to 2 years in prison for simply teaching that parents should spank their children when they misbehave. Please note that Caminiti was not accused of spanking anyone or of physically hurting anyone. He was put in prison simply for his speech. He was put in prison simply for what he was teaching others to do. Whether you agree with spanking or not, this should be incredibly sobering for all of us. Increasingly, speech is being penalized in the United States. Much of the time, the focus of the attacks by the forces of political correctness is on religious speech. If this trend continues, many of you that are reading this article might be put in jail for the things that you say in the coming years.
When many of us were growing up, once in a while our parents would take out a belt or a wooden paddle and give us a paddling on the behind when we did something wrong.
Was there anything wrong with that?
Of course not.

TRUE GRACE

Let me give you the heart of the true grace message: It is not a permissive gospel but one that teaches holiness!
“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:11-13).
According to Paul, we are not walking in grace until we have broken from worldly corruptions. Unless we are endeavoring through the power of the Holy Spirit to lead godly and righteous lives, looking for the Lord’s coming in our every waking moment, we do not know God’s grace.
Many Christians want forgiveness, but that is all. They do not want to be delivered from this present world, because they love it. They are attached to their sins, not wanting to give up the pleasures of this earth. So they cling to a doctrine [‘eternal security’ or ‘once saved, always saved’ (OSAS) – editor] that says, “I can live as I please — as long as I say that I believe.”
They do not want to hear about obedience, repentance, self- denial, picking up their cross, taking on the yoke or burden of Christ. They simply want to be excused on Judgment Day — to have all their iniquities overlooked. They expect Jesus to open up the pearly gates, put His arms around them, and lead them down a golden street to their reserved mansion, even though they have never broken from the spirit of this world!
Paul writes, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2). We are to break from this world completely and be conformed to Christ alone!
Jesus justifies us through faith for a purpose: It is to embolden and empower us to resist the devil and overcome the world.
“[Jesus Christ] gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father” (Galatians 1:4).

Jesus Christ, the one who is God in the flesh, Shed His Blood on the cross that we would be made clean, through: belief in Him as Lord and Savior, His death and resurrection, His ascension and imminent return, even by His atonement; His blood having made us clean, has thereby made us able to receive in us the presence of the Holy Spirit and by this, having been born again of God, we have been equipped with the ability to cleanse ourselves of all wickedness through the Power of The Holy Spirit; for those who believe and receive the light that the world rejected, He has given power to become the sons of God.
Therefore since God has required that we be Holy even as He is Holy, it is not something of which we should be discouraged nor should it be despised, for God is just, righteous, and true, desiring beyond our comprehension that we become one with Him, even as He is one with the Son Jesus Christ, so much so, that we should consider the command to be Holy as evidence that He has made us able also to perform it.
Let us avoid the powerful grip of wickedness which results from unbelief, for if we do not believe we can be Holy, we have given ourselves to wickedness and offended the Holy and precious gift of God toward us despising the holy sacrifice of The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the living Son of God who left Glory to secure our place in the Heavenly and divine creation to come.
If God left Glory to suffer the death on the cross for us, then how important do we think it is to Him to also finish in us the work He started; and if we entered in to this life with Him through faith and believing and by the Power of the Holy Spirit, then how else shall we continue on into the holiness to which we are called and without which no man shall see God?

I wrote this in response to a post on Facebook (my Facebook page) in which it was said that we should focus on what we put in our skulls.

Isn’t the HEART the deepest seat of our emotions though — the deepest source — the most important place for us to keep clean and PURE? The Bible seems to emphasize the heart, which is listed almost 1,000 times. We’re supposed to love God with ALL of our HEART, for example (not just even a part of it). And science has proven that the heart is “more than a pump,” having even brain-like tissue from where people make some decisions with and even without brain interaction.
Jesus warned us: everyone who gazes at a woman to LUST after her has committed ADULTERY with her already IN HIS HEART (Mt. 5).
Jesus said the tormentors will affect us if we don’t FORGIVE everyone FROM OUR HEARTS (Mt. 18).
James-3 curses originate in the heart:
“But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition IN YOUR HEART, don’t boast and don’t lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and DEMONIC.” (James 3: 14,15)
“Create in me a pure heart,” David said.
“THE GOAL of this command is LOVE, out of a PURE HEART and a good conscience and sincere faith.” (1 Tim. 1:5)

A young Korean artist was taken to Hell by Jesus Christ, and she was told to draw on canvas what she saw, so that the world would know the destination of the wicked.
Since I have written Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way | Who are the Children of God?, it would seem logical that I would agree with a message entitled We Have Forgotten that the Way is Narrow. I do appreciate very much what Paul Washer says here, but he is teaching another form of the once-saved-always-saved fallacy in this presentation; though, this is much less dangerous than how most teach once-saved-always-saved.
The extreme view:
Charles Stanley and many others teach that if a person is truly born-again, there is nothing they can do to lose their salvation. Even unrepentant rapists and murderers go to heaven in this teaching
Paul Washer and some others’ view:
If a person is truly born-again, God will make sure that the person will stay enough on the right path that he or she will go to heaven no matter what. Washer probably believes in God’s sovereignty, instead of man having free will and therefore personal responsibility.
What I believe:
Many have been truly and sincerely born-again. Many have sincerely tried to follow the Holy Spirit (or do so in spurts), Who is in them, prompting them to overcome and convicting them of sin, but many are willfully disobeying to the degree that they’re not making sure they are right with their brothers and sisters and God Himself so they have clean consciences to be able to enter heaven, according to what the Bible really says. I show in Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way | Who are the Children of God? what the Bible really teaches regarding what God requires of His people. Our hearts must be pure. We must overcome as God enables us to do so by His Grace.
I believe that truly born-again people can easily (especially these days with all of these temptations) willfully sin to where we leave the safe place of abiding in Christ, to where our consciences condemn us. And unless we repent and get right with God again (and sometimes this means getting right with people too), then we are in danger of going to Hell.
This is not normal Christianity, but it is normal for many ‘Christians’ today. Many have been led astray into thinking that we can ignore the warning-promptings of the Holy Spirit and the meek Jesus will give us the thumbs up anyway. But Jesus in heaven is not mainly meek. Jesus is endued with power, completely holy. If our consciences bother us on earth, where His presence is right now not very strong, imagine how our unclean consciences will shout at us. We will tremble when we stand before our HOLY GOD, face to face, horrified by our guilt that remains!!!
Consider this pastor, who would have spent eternity in hell just because he refused to forgive his wife:
Washer ignores the many verses that I give in “Who-Goes-to-Heaven Scriptures…” that show how holy we must be to be going-to-heaven children of God.
I know a pastor, locally, who was going to teach a number of messages about who goes to heaven. Before he did so, he promised he’d look at my writings. I was so excited and certain we could get on the same page and help revival to soon happen. To my utter shock and amazement, he ended up refusing to read what I wrote, and he taught similarly to what Paul Washer teaches in this message regarding the Calvinist perseverance of the saints doctrine — that if a person is truly born-again they will persevere, showing fruit — even if there is bad fruit, willful, unrepentant sin in there too. He then cut me off from his life, and hasn’t spoken to me since; even though, an overseer must be blameless: Paul’s Elders’ qualifications revisited: What does ‘BLAMELESS’ mean? — Most pastors are biblically disqualified.
I appreciate Paul Washer’s willingness to teach about the fear of the Lord and some of the warning scriptures, but it doesn’t seem to me that this kind of teaching really is bringing about Christlike fruit in which people are really getting holy and right with God and each other so we can be free — and ‘ONE’!
I don’t see the joy of the Lord here. I still see a license for willful sin. The emphasis in this kind of teaching isn’t in overcoming, but in getting truly born-again, which I believe many really have been. Because being born-again is a decision we make, God giving us the grace in order to respond to His wooings. And walking with Christ is also a daily, even hourly decision we make. We can walk out of His hand. We can remove ourselves away from the Vine in order to do our own thing that we know He doesn’t approve of. Jesus in John 15 is very clear, and tells of the consequences if we were to die in that state.
We can become prodigal sons and daughters. We can forfeit our birthright. But we can also come back to Him, where He will run to us with open arms, where we can live safely in Christ.
It’s up to us, for we know what His will is: that all would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Jesus will always enable us to overcome. But it’s up to us to abide in Him, connected to the Vine, so His sap can flow through us where fruit will remain — so we won’t be thrown into the fire and burned.
The ball is in our court, not God’s.
God has sovereignly given us free will to determine our own fate. And I just don’t understand how pastors can think things are okay when the presence of God can hardly even be felt during group ‘worship.’ Shouldn’t that be a warning sign that something isn’t right, because God “resists the proud but gives grace to the humble?”
Why aren’t pastors relentless in figuring out what is wrong with us so God can move among us again as a group?
Most pastors are confidence men, telling the people “I’m okay; you’re okay,” when hardly anyone is okay with God, really — or we’d be ‘ONE,’ and the world would know. God’s grace would be so filling us. We’d be shouting for joy!!!
Let us be ‘ONE’!!!
May we be free in Him — demon and false-doctrine free. Then the world will know — John 17. Now, they smell a rat until we are holy.
They’ll know us by our love for another. OSAS does not compel us to walk in perfect love for one another so the glory of God can give us so much real, overcoming joy that the world will know!!!

Throughout the last 2000 years, humanity has been violent, many wars have been fought for many reasons, and much of humanity has adhered to Christianity. The very fact that wars occur, even among Christian nations, was a horrible thought, as Christianity is very clear that its adherents were to be peacemakers.
This dreadful dichotomy between the ideals and goals of peace, and the reality and harshness of life and the ‘necessity of war’, has meant that Christian thinkers from very early on had to grapple with the issue. We are commanded that murder is wrong by the Ten Commandments. Yet we also know that we have a responsibility to defend our families, communities have a responsibility to protect the citizens in them and, of course, that governments have an obligation and responsibility to protect and defend their people and enforce justice among the members. The taking of human life is wrong.
Therefore, Christianity worked out the Just War Doctrine, that laid out the various issues related to justice and war, and even though its foundation is Christian in origin, it is such a useful doctrine that any country can use it whether Christian or not, and it is extremely helpful in many areas of human relationships, not the least of which is foreign relations. …

The Seven Tenets of the Just War Doctrine:
By these principles, that build upon one another, you can begin to see in how many ways our current foreign policy and reasons for war have violated the tenets that Americans, people of western civilization and Christians in general have held for years.
The first thing that is made plain: There is NEVER a justification for PRE-EMPTIVE war. All of America’s friends, allies and even the enemies took note that America had abandoned tradition and history and decided to go to war pre-emptively. That means that ANY COUNTRY, any leader, any provocation of any type could bring war down on their heads without recourse to diplomacy, negotiations, third party interventions. It made America DANGEROUS AND UNPREDICTABLE. It made our enemies step up their preparations for protective and possibly aggressive warfare. It also gave other countries an out and out justification to strike at us without warning, by any means they may choose.
It has put America and Americans in the greatest danger we have EVER been in.
The Just War Doctrine holds human life, and the well being of societies, to be of primary importance, and that the only point to war is to address damage that has been done already to a people and to return everyone to a state of peace as rapidly as possible.
The Constitution of the United States actually embodies the Just War Doctrine, implicitly if not explicitly. …

Rush Limbaugh could see a deal with prosecutors in a long-running prescription fraud case collapse after authorities found a bottle of Viagra in his bag at Palm Beach International Airport. The prescription was not in his name.
Limbaugh was detained for more than three hours Monday at the airport after returning from a vacation in the Dominican Republic. …
Under the deal reached last month with prosecutors, Limbaugh was not to be arrested for any infraction for 18 months in exchange for authorities deferring a charge of “doctor shopping.” Prosecutors had alleged the conservative talk-show host illegally deceived multiple physicians to receive overlapping painkiller prescriptions. …
For now, Limbaugh is joking about his brush with the law. He joked about the search on his radio show Tuesday, saying Customs officials didn’t believe him when he said he got the pills at the Clinton Library and he was told they were blue M&Ms. He later added, chuckling: “I had a great time in the Dominican Republic. Wish I could tell you about it.”

This is worth listening to.
But what hardly any pastors are teaching, including Osteen and MacArthur, is Jesus’ stated goal for us in John 17. Jesus prayed that we’d be ‘ONE,’ that the world would know.
Jesus said He would give us His GLORY to help us and empower us to be ‘ONE’ in Him and with each other, that the world would know.
Pastors should be teaching the absolute necessity for holiness and RECONCILIATION — right relationships with each other and God — actually abiding in Christ — being led by the Holy Spirit, God Himself — resting — filled with the Holy Spirit.
Then the world will know.
I don’t hear hardly any pastors talking about reconciliation — let alone leading by example — apologizing to those whom they’ve hurt — making sure they are right with everyone.
The time is short. Let’s get our act together before it’s too late. The Third Great Awakening is way overdue.
May we be ‘ONE’!

Before anyone complains no I’ve not turned into a Calvinist but many Calvinist’s are good Christians.
Joel Osteen however is not a good Christian Minister. He is nothing more than a feel-good motivational speaker with a thin veneer of Christianity.
In fact as John MacArthur reveals his message is identical with that of Oprah Winfrey’s New Age message of ‘The Secret’ and the ‘Law Of Attraction’.

I just got a dream about US torturing. While sleeping, I heard very clearly these words:
“Why torture me? Why does the criminal government of America torture me?”
Then, for about an hour, I got all kinds of prayers for those involved, especially those who insist we vote for Presidential candidates who will continue the torture that was escalated during the Bush/Cheney regime. And I prayed for those who insist people don’t vote for Ron Paul, the “Jesus’ Golden Rule” candidate.
And then I heard, awake this time: “The first thing to repent of is First Love.”
Which I assume involves the Greatest Commandment, not loving the Lord, our God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength — so then we don’t do the Second Greatest Commandment either: love our neighbors as ourselves. To many are following the crowd instead of the HOLY Spirit.
Then I heard: “Give to me your pride.”
“Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 16:18). Regardless of what our country is doing, please, let’s be holy and not participate in this madness that is destroying our country as we illegally and immorally hurt others.
In the first statement I heard, tonight, God actually calls our government a “criminal government.” I thought of how both Bush and Cheney won’t fly to certain countries now, afraid of being arrested for war crimes against humanity, but evangelicals are still voting for the same type of leaders.

I attended 33 of the 36 Rodney Howard-Browne meetings in 1992 in Anchorage, Alaska, in which violinist, Maurice Sklar played with great anointing.
One time, during group worship, WE COULD HEAR THE ANGELS SINGING. The keyboardist took his hands off of the keyboard to make sure it wasn’t his instrument.
The singing was the most beautiful and compelling I have ever heard — transcendent — a sound having so much upward energy that I would never tire of.
It sounded like it was coming from above the worship team, but in front of the stage [not anywhere near the loudspeakers].
Maurice and I were among the many (including my mom — so timely because Dad had recently died) who were GREATLY touched by the Holy Spirit during those 36 meetings, of which I attended 33.
One time, I wanted to talk to Maurice about microphones, but he was so touched by God that he had more important things on his mind.
Thank you, Maurice, Rodney and Anchorage Christian Center (now called City Church) — and Jesus!!!
May we make a home for God so He can dwell among us in fullness of joy and power!
If we build it He will come!
