I really didn’t want to have another Yikes, Mike! moment. Shocked, I previously wrote: Mike Bickle, Head of IHOP: From Porn to Worship “Within the Minute?” Yikes, Mike!

I have demonstrated many times on this site that I have been a BIG FAN of Mike Bickle, founder of International House of Prayer (IHOP). His ambition to please God and do what is right is obvious, but it’s so sad to see him actually supporting the antichrist system. Rick Perry is the establishment’s choice for a reason. It’s good to hear the news from the liberal side sometimes, in this case, NPR. Some of my thoughts:

First, I totally believe in spiritual warfare, especially when we are praying perfectly in our prayer languages to fight demons directly. But even the word dominionism doesn’t sit right with me, especially when I know it translates into the now endless preemptive wars that are mainly to take out countries that would oppose Satan’s one-world government. This isn’t just about power over demons, it’s power over people, and Rick Perry is their man?!!!

The true Christian peacemaker, Ron Paul is left to sit on the sidelines. This is exactly the reason America will not recover — the pastors are leading the sheep astray!

I was really disappointed to hear that Mike Bickle is actively supporting Rick Perry, whose Christianity is beyond just suspect [see my Rick Perry links below]. This is pretty serious! “Christian” Rick Perry is almost certainly a wolf in sheep’s clothing who will destroy this country just like “Christian,” Skull and Bonesman George W. Bush did [proof is in The Bush Family category at ToBeFree, linked below].

Christians, especially Christian leaders are supposed to be “wise as serpents and harmless as doves,” but it seems like too many evangelicals are not learning from history or doing their homework — nor are they being Bible and Holy Spirit led. The establishment (the globalists) will only support candidates they can control, and Rick Perry appears to be their number 1 Republican pick.

No wonder why I’ve never heard anyone crying out for ‘Christians’ to repent from their warmongering in the IHOP (International House of Prayer – Mike Bickle head) prayer room. All of these prayers about abortion (who all go to heaven), but once they’re out of the womb…, smash ’em — ‘Christians’ sending many straight to Hell!!

So much for “Blessed are the peacemakers….” I wrote recently:

If the peacemakers are blessed
(Blessed are the peacemakers – Jesus),
and most of today’s ‘Christians’ aren’t peacemakers:

both the ‘Christians’ and America can’t be blessed …
and have only themselves to blame when America goes down.

The Evangelicals Engaged In Spiritual Warfare

An emerging Christian movement that seeks to take dominion over politics, business and culture in preparation for the end times and the return of Jesus, is becoming more of a presence in American politics. The leaders are considered apostles and prophets, gifted by God for this role.

The international “apostolic and prophetic” movement has been dubbed by its leading American architect, C. Peter Wagner, as the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR).

“They teach quite literally that these ‘mountains’ have fallen under the control of demonic influences in society,” says Tabachnick. “And therefore, they must reclaim them for God in order to bring about the kingdom of God on Earth. … The apostles teach what’s called ‘strategic level spiritual warfare’ [because they believe that the] reason why there is sin and corruption and poverty on the Earth is because the Earth is controlled by a hierarchy of demons under the authority of Satan. So they teach not just evangelizing souls one by one, as we’re accustomed to hearing about. They teach that they will go into a geographic region or a people group and conduct spiritual-warfare activities in order to remove the demons from the entire population. This is what they’re doing that’s quite fundamentally different than other evangelical groups.”

The organizers of Perry’s rally were from ministries founded by two apostles/prophets of the movement — The Call, and the International House of Prayer founded by Mike Bickle. Bickle, who led part of Perry’s event, has claimed that Oprah Winfrey is a precursor of the Antichrist, and Engle has claimed that gay people are controlled by “demonic spirits.” Both have served on the Council of Prophetic Elders initiated by Wagner.

Are Evangelical Christians Warmongers?

I’ve been an evangelical Christian since I was a child. I’ve been in the Gospel ministry all of my adult life. I attended two evangelical Christian colleges, received honorary degrees from two others, and taught and preached in several others. I’ve attended many of the largest evangelical pastors’ gatherings and have been privileged to speak at Christian gatherings–large and small–all over America. I have been part of the inner workings of evangelical ministry for nearly 40 years. I think I learned a thing or two about evangelical/fundamentalist Christianity in America. And I’m here to tell you: I don’t like what I see happening these days!

Let’s get this straight right out of the gate: nothing touched by man can be perfect, because none of us is perfect. There is no perfect church, perfect school, perfect mission board, perfect Sunday School class, perfect pastor, perfect deacon, or perfect Christian. Until the afterlife, we are all yet encased in Adamic flesh, complete with human weaknesses and imperfections. And only the Pharisaical among us are too proud to admit it.

That said, I do think it is more than fair to say that, historically, Christians have always attempted to be–and have always publicly taught the importance of being–peacemakers. Historically, Christians have preached–and tried to practice–love and brotherhood. The early church was born in a baptism of love and unity. Oh sure, there were always individual misunderstandings and differences, but, on the whole, the church was a loving, caring, compassionate ecclesia.

Mind you, Christians historically were not afraid or ashamed to defend themselves, their families, and their country. The Lord Jesus, Himself (the Prince of Peace), allowed His disciples to carry personal defense weapons (see Luke 22:36,38). Yes, while some Christian sects were conscientious pacifists, these were the exception, not the rule. The vast majority of Christian believers understood the Biblical, Natural Law principle of self-defense. But believing in the right of lawful, God-ordained self-defense was never to be confused with warmongering.

So, what has happened to turn the most peace-loving institution the world has ever known (the New Testament church) into the biggest cheerleaders for war? I’m talking about un-provoked, illegal, unconstitutional, unbiblical–even secret–wars of aggression. The biggest cheerleaders for the unprovoked, unconstitutional, pre-emptive attack and invasion of Iraq were evangelical Christians. Ditto for the war in Afghanistan, the bombing of Libya, the attacks in Yemen, etc. Who is calling for the bombing of Iran? Evangelical Christians. Who cheers for sending more and more troops all over the world to maim and kill more and more people (including innocents)? Evangelical Christians. Shoot (pun intended)! Most evangelical Christians didn’t even bat an eye when the federal government sent military and police personnel to murder American citizens, including old men, women, and children–Christian old men, women, and children, no less–outside Waco, Texas.

And where are today’s evangelical Christians giving a second thought regarding their fellow Christian brothers and sisters in many of these Middle Eastern countries that are being persecuted, imprisoned, tortured, and killed by the puppet regimes being put in power by the US government–at US taxpayer (including Christian taxpayer) expense? I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but more Christians have been persecuted under the US-imposed regime in Iraq than were ever persecuted when Saddam Hussein was in power. Oh! And don’t forget that it was the US government that was responsible for putting Saddam Hussein in power to begin with. The US government set up Osama bin Laden, too. But I digress.

In addition to the “white” wars (the ones everyone knows about), the US government authorizes some 70 black ops commando raids in some 120 countries EVERY DAY. In fact, the secret, black ops military of the US is so large today it now totals more personnel than the ENTIRE MILITARY OF CANADA!

A recent report noted, “In 120 countries across the globe, troops from Special Operations Command carry out their secret war of high-profile assassinations, low-level targeted killings, capture/kidnap operations, kick-down-the-door night raids, joint operations with foreign forces, and training missions with indigenous partners as part of a shadowy conflict unknown to most Americans. Once ‘special’ for being small, lean, outsider outfits, today they are special for their power, access, influence, and aura.”

Yet, how much of this knowledge would even faze the average evangelical Christian today? All we hear from today’s “churches” is “bomb,” “attack,” “wipe them out,” etc. Then, at the same time, they get all emotional about sending missionaries to the same countries that they had just cheered-on the US military in raining down missiles of death and destruction upon (to bring salvation to the lucky ones that weren’t killed, I suppose).

And who are the ones that belittle and impugn Ron Paul? Evangelical Christians. Why? Because he tells the truth about America’s foreign policy being responsible for much of the hatred and bitterness erupting in foreign countries against us. I guarantee you that many of the “conservative” Republicans who booed Dr. Paul’s comments to this regard at the GOP Presidential debate this week would identify themselves as evangelical Christians.

I never thought I would hear myself say what I’m about to say, but the truth is, the term “Christian” today means anything but Christ-like. To many people today, “Christian” refers to some warmongering, mean-spirited, throw-anyone-to-the-wolves-who-crosses-them person, who then has the audacity to look down their nose in contempt against anyone who disagrees with them for even the smallest reason. And the word “church” has the stigma of being simply an enclave of warmongers to many people today. And that, my friends, is one reason so many people are so turned off with today’s Christianity. And I can’t say that I blame them. I’m turned off too!

Am I a pacifist? Absolutely not! Do I believe an individual, a family, a community, or a nation has the right to protect and defend itself? I absolutely do! And the fellow who breaks into my home or who attacks my loved ones will personally discover I believe that! But this blind support for illegal, immoral, unconstitutional war is anything but Christian. Not only is it turning people against our country among people abroad, it is turning our own countrymen against the Christ we Christians claim to love right here at home.

I dare say that the modern Warfare State would grind to a screeching halt tomorrow if evangelical Christians would simply stop supporting it! And the thing that most evangelical Christians fail to realize is that the Warfare State is one of the primary tools that the evil one is using to usher in his devilish New World Order that even babes in Christ know to be of Satan. Hence, Christians are helping to promote the very thing that Satan, himself, is using to enslave them.

Yes, I’ve been an evangelical Christian for most of my life and an evangelical pastor for all of my adult life. And if we Christians do not quickly repent of this bloodlust that seems to dominate evangelical Christianity today (spiritually and militarily), the word that was first used by un-churched Gentiles to describe Christ’s followers will be used as a curse-word to describe those who facilitated the ruination of our country.

I add this to the ‘Christians’ Trashing America category because you know that many of those booing Paul’s why-they-hate-US comment call themselves ‘Christians.’ Though Jesus said: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.”

There is no fear of God anymore — fear of not being a going-to-heaven, right-with-God-and-people Christian. The deception in these days is so great. The Bible says “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,” and “where there is no vision the people perish.”

America is now so upside down when wrong is right. We abuse our might — which is fleeting.

One of my bumper stickers say: “If we don’t change directions we’ll end up where we’re going.”

The enemies are sharpening their swords. But Fox News is mum that they’re across the Pacific, not the Atlantic.

They’ll wait until we destroy ourselves further through more establishment-picked Presidents.

It’s time to get our act together now, especially spiritually.

The media is extremely biased, a big part of the problem, but when the people cheer for killing and torture (as in other Republican debates) and boo a sincere call for the ethical treatment of human beings, the writing is on the wall:

We are now a sick nation by choice, willfully disobedient. So we will deserve the coming destruction — with a broken heart I sadly must admit.

All of the work so many of us have done, all of the warnings, the documentation, yet the people still don’t have enough integrity to admit they were wrong and stand up for what is right, now that our serious condition is even more obvious.

Last night, after being booed for talking about the ethical treatment of Palestinians, Ron said:

“At the same time, we had been bombing and killing hundreds of thousands of Iraqis for ten years. Would you be annoyed? If you’re not annoyed then there is some problem.”

The fact that most are not annoyed is the problem.

I had a couple from the USA write to me today with a rather hair-raising question on US politics. But before we get to their email, let me make a couple of points. As many of you know, I am a strongly conservative evangelical Christian. And yet, I have questioned for a long time whether conservative Christians (particularly in the USA) are trying to solve “SPIRITUAL” problems with Politics – which will never work. The sheer amount of money and energy and passion that Christians in the US are devoting to “electing the right guy” seems to even dwarf what they are willing to do SPIRITUALLY.

…why do US Christians support war? Why do they act like when the USA fights, it is almost like they are “fighting for Jesus”? Why is it so important for US Christians to “support the military”? Is Christianity supposed to be spread at the point of a gun? When America wins a war (such as Panama or whatever), did they “win it for Jesus”? I have never seen such confusion over patriotism and nationalism being equated with “Christianity”. There is something very wrong.

We Don’t Need Another George W. Bush

Last Saturday, Texas Governor Rick Perry unofficially launched his 2012 Presidential candidacy in Houston (in my opinion). Speculation is he will officially announce his intentions this weekend in South Carolina. If he does declare his candidacy, many election-watchers say Perry will become the GOP frontrunner, due to an extremely weak field of declared candidates. If Perry does declare his candidacy, everyone will know that the Houston event was staged for the purpose of launching his Presidential bid, rhetoric to the contrary notwithstanding.

If Perry declares his candidacy (and I’m confident he will), people should also realize that the Houston event was a precursor to the type of campaign that Perry will use throughout the Republican primary season. As a fellow Texan, it was not lost on Rick Perry how George W. Bush obtained the Republican nomination–and eventually the White House. In short, Rick Perry is going to use the G.W. Bush model to win a Presidential election.

Think about it: G.W. Bush won the White House after an extremely unpopular liberal Democrat had been President. Barack Obama’s popularity is even lower than Bill Clinton’s was–and Clinton was only the second President in US history to ever be impeached! Bush’s campaign boss, Karl Rove, brilliantly painted G.W. Bush as being a wholesome “born again Christian,” which played very well with a Christian electorate that was tired of being embarrassed by a lying, philandering reprobate living in the White House.

In 2012, the American electorate, especially the Christian electorate, is totally fed up with an incumbent President whom everyone knows to be extremely sympathetic to Muslim and Marxist ideologies. Plus, a sizeable percentage of the American people truly suspect that Obama was NOT born in the United States and is, therefore, not even qualified to be President. This is the stage upon which Rick Perry appears. It is a stage very similar to the one George W. Bush stepped onto in 2000. And just as Bush played the “born again Christian” card to the max in the 2000 Presidential campaign, so Rick Perry appears to be ready to do in 2012. That is what the Houston event was all about last Saturday.

Billed as “A Day of Prayer and Fasting,” the event solidified Perry’s preferred status among evangelical Christians. With the help of the American Family Association (which reportedly contributed up to a million dollars to the event), James Dobson’s Focus on the Family, and Cornerstone Church’s (San Antonio) Pastor John Hagee, Perry is all but assured of cornering the “born again” vote, just as G.W. Bush did in 2000.

One would like to think that America’s Christians learned something from the two GWB administrations, but it doesn’t appear that they have. I think it is safe to say that Dobson, Hagee, et al, would endorse ANYONE nominated by the Republican Party. They have already proven that, have they not? James Dobson went so far as to humiliate himself by endorsing big government John McCain in the 2008 general elections, even after vowing publicly that he would “NEVER” support McCain. During the primaries, however, the Republican candidate who can “talk the Bible” the best can expect the support of these clueless evangelical leaders. And this time around, it appears that Rick Perry is that man. You can rest assured if Perry doesn’t win the nomination, Dobson and Hagee will be right there for whoever does.

And it does appear that is all they care about today. As a result, Rick Perry will prove to be a formidable candidate in the GOP primaries.

I have said over and over again that I would rather vote for an unbeliever who would preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, than vote for a believer who would NOT preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States! The pious rhetoric of political candidates means nothing!

If I hire a plumber to fix a drainage problem at my house, I am not interested so much in where he goes to church, or whether he teaches Sunday School, or what denomination he claims. I am hiring him to fix my plumbing! We sign a contract, he and I. I promise to pay him “X” amount of dollars, and he promises that when he’s finished, my toilets will flush. Christian or not, I expect him to honor the terms of his contract.

Ladies and gentlemen, when we elect a civil magistrate (at any level), we are entering into a contract with the one we elected. We gave them our support, which allowed them to obtain public office, and they promise (before Almighty God) to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. They do not promise to be “good Christians.” They do not promise to be “good Republicans.” They do not promise to be “good conservatives.” They take an oath before God (they sign a contract with the American people) to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. And it is our job as citizens to hold our civil magistrates to their oath! In fact, if any elected office holder were a TRUE Christian, he or she would take their oath even more seriously, would they not?

Instead of being excited about a candidate claiming to be a Christian, or claiming to pray and read his or her Bible, we need to get excited about a candidate who is serious about preserving the liberties of the American people, and who makes a commitment to protect and preserve the principles enshrined in our Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, and US Constitution!

Before we talk about Rick Perry’s commitment to prayer and fasting, let’s find out if Rick Perry believes that there must be a Declaration of War before America begins invading, bombing, and occupying foreign countries. Let’s find out if he believes he has the authority as President to use US military forces against American citizens. Let’s find out if he believes he has the authority to give billions and trillions of dollars away to foreign countries. Let’s find out if he plans to commit US military forces to the whims of the United Nations Security Council. Let’s find out if he supports the Military Commissions Act. Let’s find out if he supports the Patriot Act. Let’s find out if he believes the US government has the authority to use super-computers and advanced technology to continue to turn the United States into a giant surveillance-society. Let’s find out how serious he is about closing that southern border: speaking of which, what did Rick Perry do as governor of the border State of Texas to stop illegal immigration? And while we are on the subject of Border States, what did Rick Perry do to stop the NAFTA superhighway? Before we get excited about Rick Perry being a “good Christian,” let’s find out if he supports the Council of Governors, or the North American Union, or the Continuity of Government, or Agenda 21. Let’s find out if Perry will launch a Justice Department investigation into the ATF’s (under Barack Obama and Eric Holder) clandestine operation of providing firearms to Mexican drug gangs. We could go on and on with these kinds of questions.

The sad truth is, our illustrious evangelical leaders on the right are just as culpable in the dismantling and deterioration of the American republic as are those on the political or religious left! Both sides are willing to give their favored politicos a pass on constitutional governance. And ladies and gentlemen, that is why it hasn’t mattered to a tinker’s dam whether a Democrat or Republican, “liberal” or “conservative” is in the White House! And that’s why it won’t matter in 2012.

Besides, if James Dobson and John Hagee were truly interested in protecting and preserving the principles enshrined in our Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, and US Constitution, they would be promoting the candidacy of Ron Paul. But, unfortunately, they wouldn’t do it in 2008, and they won’t do it in 2012. They lack both the courage and the sagacity.

We don’t need another George W. Bush in the White House. For that matter, we don’t need another Jimmy Carter in the White House. What we need is a President (governor, mayor, sheriff, etc.) who will preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States!

Note that the above quotes are but a small sample of hundreds of quotes the Founding Fathers made in regards to the importance of a religious and moral people in a successful Republican Democracy.

In our young nation, the Bible was used as a text book for the purpose of teaching children moral principles to live by. As time went on, the Bible was gradually replaced by other text books such as Noah Webster’s Primer. Webster’s Primer taught children to spell but was also filled with moral Bible verses. In the front of his Primer was his picture with the inscription, “Who taught millions to read but not one to sin.”

This is the exact opposite of the school curriculum today. The courts in this country have revised the First Amendment, thus erecting a wall of atheism around every public school in America, where in God is not allowed to be mentioned. This is not the same wall that Thomas Jefferson envisioned.

I’ve been pointing out the differences between Sarah Palin’s stated philosophy and belief in Christianity and her actions for quite some time now. I was particularly distressed when Palin used words like “asinine” to describe her own constituents in a press release. These are not the words of a Christian person and certainly not the words of a responsible leader. Of course, the truth of the matter is that she is Domininist, who uses her so-called Christianity as a weapon of power in order to claim the big prize….

The horror some of us feel over Palin isn’t about her politics or faith, as much as she martyrs herself on the pretend cross of her Christian charade. It’s about her character.

Frank Bailey: You know, she was obsessive about it. It was difficult because I pushed so hard to help her in that, and I mean a lot of the book is a confession about some of the things I was involved in that I really, truly regret. I have had to go back to folks and apologize to them for some of my actions. Tearing down their character. But she had to put her image up as this perfect person.

This is mostly a great article! I would also rather share a foxhole with an agnostic who is trying to find and do the truth than with a ‘Christian’ who doesn’t uphold the truth nor does he really love his brother.

And I agree with Chuck here. Jesse Ventura comes to mind; though, some of his positions concern me:

In speeches all over America, I have surprised many Christian people when I say, I would rather vote for an unbeliever who would preserve, protect, and defend the US Constitution, than vote for a believer who would NOT preserve, protect, and defend the US Constitution.

But I would probably disagree with Chuck’s reasoning here:

Of course, I can hear many Christians now saying under their breath, “But we need REAL Christians in public office.”

Chuck lists the recent ‘Christian’ Presidents who have unconstitutionally misled America, and then says:

Forget the rhetoric! Forget the label! Forget the religious piety! If our public servants do not submit themselves to the Constitution to which they swore an oath before God and men, they are liars and frauds and should be treated as such!

Had these men been REAL Christians they could be “liars and frauds,” according to what the Bible really says: Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way | Who are the Children of God?

And REAL Christians love their neighbors even if he wears a turban and she wears a burka — and they live overseas where we can’t hear the bombs go off or see the blood — which is not true of:

Jesus said “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God.” Most ‘Christians’ supported George W. Bush even in his second term when he was clearly pro-torture and pro-murder.

As a Baptist pastor, Chuck probably has a standard Baptist view as to what is a REAL Christian is, which unfortunately differs from what the Bible really says. This is probably why we differ slightly here.

Clearly, many agnostics are more Christian than most ‘Christians.’

And many agnostics would become Christians if most ‘Christians’ were REAL Christians.

Then reverse-Christian politicians could no longer get away with calling themselves ‘Christians.’

I couldn’t count how many times I’ve heard a sincere Christian say to me, “Chuck, all we have to do is elect more Christians to public office.” I wish it was only that easy! The fact is we have been electing “Christians” to public office for decades. In fact, when is the last time you voted for someone who did NOT proclaim to be a Christian? Most everyone in public office claims to be a Christian. In my whole life, I never remember a candidate for public office saying, “Vote for me; I’m an atheist.” Do you?

Richard Nixon claimed to be a Christian; Gerald Ford claimed to be a Christian; Jimmy Carter claimed to be a Christian (he even taught Sunday School and took alcohol out of the White House); Ronald Reagan claimed to be a Christian; Bill Clinton claimed to be a Christian (how many times did we see Clinton on his way to church with his giant-print Bible under his arm?); George Bush I and II claimed to be a Christian. Bush II held prayer meetings in the White House we are told. Even Barack Obama claims to be a Christian. Ditto for virtually every congressman and senator ever elected. Republicans and Democrats, liberals and conservatives, men and women, whites and blacks: they all claim to be Christians. If electing “Christians” was all we needed to do, we should be in the Millennial Kingdom by now!

Of course, I can hear many Christians now saying under their breath, “But we need REAL Christians in public office.” And, of course, the people saying this are the ones who are qualified to know which ones are REAL Christians and which ones aren’t. Right?

In speeches all over America, I have surprised many Christian people when I say, I would rather vote for an unbeliever who would preserve, protect, and defend the US Constitution, than vote for a believer who would NOT preserve, protect, and defend the US Constitution.

When a civil magistrate assumes public office, he or she does not swear an oath to be a “good Christian,” or to be a “good conservative,” or to read their Bible and pray everyday. What they do swear to, however, is to “preserve, protect, and defend” the US Constitution.

The reason why it doesn’t matter to a hill of beans whether we elect Republicans or Democrats, or liberals or conservatives, or Baptists or Catholics, etc., is because, for the most part, none of them cares one iota about honoring their oath of office to be faithful to the Constitution! But holding our elected officials to the Constitution should be the primary focus of any public servant’s constituents. Forget the rhetoric! Forget the label! Forget the religious piety! If our public servants do not submit themselves to the Constitution to which they swore an oath before God and men, they are liars and frauds and should be treated as such!

But, because the vast majority of Americans do not themselves understand, appreciate, and value fidelity to the Constitution, they are content to let their politicians routinely ignore and trample constitutional government. Therefore, Christian Democrats cheer the unconstitutional, loathsome policies and decisions of “Christian” Jimmy Carter, and Christian Republicans cheer the unconstitutional, loathsome policies and decisions of “Christian” George W. Bush.

And, as Sonny and Cher sang, “The Beat Goes On.” And the rush toward bigger and bigger government, less and less freedom, and more and more socialism goes on–all these “Christians” in public office notwithstanding.

In the midst of all this duplicity and chicanery come honest, freedom-loving, constitutionalists of all stripes, shapes, and sizes: men and women from all persuasions, backgrounds, and education who understand the principles of constitution government enough to be truly considered a friend of freedom. That’s why I have often said, not all Christians are our friends, and not all unbelievers are our enemies.

Case in point…

The understanding, wisdom, and character that is represented in the above blog is rarely demonstrated in any church, from any churchman, or from any pastor! I would sooner share a foxhole with this agnostic (and try to win him to the Lord at the same time) than with many professing Christians.

When did we Christians lose our character? When did we lose our honor? When did we forget what it means to be Freemen? When did we forget the principles of constitutional government? When did we lose our understanding of Natural Law and Natural Rights?

Alex Jones is a talk show host trying to wake up people to tyranny being brought upon US by the globalists. He sees what is going on with ‘Christians’ too, who have been key supporters of globalist candidates like President George W. Bush, who have thrashed our country and the Constitution, just like Obama is doing.

The unbiblical pre-trib rapture doctrine is one of the main psyop ways Satan is able to convince ‘Christians’ that they don’t really have to follow Christ. Thus, America is falling fast, and it won’t be pretty for anyone.

The ‘Christians’ won’t get taken out before things get really bad.

Since posting, I have found that some dispute that Gandhi said this. I found the following:

I can’t find any source for him stating the quote as such. I did find a book, The Knights Templar & the Protestant Reformation, which states that when Stanley Jones, a missionary met with Ghandi he asked him:

Mr. Gandhi, though you quote the words of Christ often, why is that you appear to so adamantly reject becoming his follower?

Gandhi replied:

Oh, I don’t reject Christ. I love Christ. It’s just that so many of you Christians are so unlike Christ.

The book seems to have a reference, although I can’t check what it is as the references page is not on Google Books.

The quote seems to be from the book Mr. Gandhi, the man by Millie Graham Polak although the book is not viewable online.

Searching the book for the first part of the passage quoted in the knights templar book, “Is Mr. Gandhi a Christian?” returns a hit, although searching for “stanley jones” or “reject christ” does not.

In The Christ of the Indian Road by E. Stanley Jones, Stanley Jones asked Gandhi how to naturalize Christianity into India. Gandhi replied in part:

I would suggest first of all that all of you Christians, missionaries and all begin to live more like Jesus Christ.

This could be in part where the quote came from, if it was never said directly by Gandhi.

Given the amount of consistent references to the quote being said in reply to a question from Stanley Jones, I think it is likely something very similar to the oft quoted passage was said. I can’t find anything online that shows this for certain and don’t have access to the books where the quote may appear to check, so it’s hard to say for sure.

The information I have so far attributes the proximate statement in Stanley’s book to Bara Dada and not to Gandhi. I have a first edition copy of “Mr. Gandhi the Man” by Polak (1931) and I assure you that the Gandhi quote is NOT in that book. He speaks to his friend about his attraction to Christianity and the possibility of becoming Christian himself. His reasons for not doing so, he explains, have to do with his sense that he has found, in his “native” Hindu religion, all of the essential values that Christianity promotes. He is in a sense a universalist, believing that a path to God can be found in every major religion. There are no disparaging remarks about Christians in the book. Gandhi’s history is one of reconciliation and marshalling people from many faith communities to promote freedom and justice. That work began in earnest in South Africa, where he brought Christians together with other adherents for his social justice work.

U.S. Troops Fire on Iraqi Detainees (Video)

Shocking video has surfaced from 2005 of U.S. troops firing on captive Iraqi detainees at Camp Bucca following a riot. The soldiers seen in the video unload full force and even (what appears to be) a grenade round from behind barbed wire fences, while some laugh about direct hits.

Four detainees were killed and five others wounded. One soldier, seen in the video, comments that the prisoners are only throwing “dirt balls and a few rocks.” He was possibly trying to quell what appeared to be a near free-for-all shooting spree against captive targets. “Be decisive on what you f—— shoot,” he told the others.

According to Press TV, the “US military tried to cover up the bloodshed, saying the riot happened when the prisoners confronted a search for contraband in the prison.” Instead, the ACLU found that the riot was due to the “desecration of the Holy Qur’an by US troops.”

US troops fire on Iraqi detainees after burning their Holy Quran books in front of them. Amateur footage recently posted on the internet shows American troops firing live ammunition on Iraqi prisoners during a riot in a US detention facility in Iraq back in 2005.

The footage shows US forces using disproportionate force and live rounds against prisoners at the US prison facility Camp Bucca located in Iraq.

The Iraqi detainees were protesting the American troops’ desecration of Islam’s holy book, the Qur’an.

At the time, the US military tried to cover up the bloodshed, saying the riot happened when the prisoners confronted a search for contraband in the prison.

But the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) later revealed that the real cause of the riot was the desecration of the Holy Qur’an by US troops.

Four prisoners were shot dead and five others wounded during the violence.

In 2008, the US military revealed that it held a total of around 20,000 detainees, some 17,000 of whom at Camp Bucca near Basra in southern Iraq, and more than 3,000 others at Camp Cropper in the capital Baghdad.

The sin in the body is great. The sin in the body is evident to all who watch from afar. They don’t want to go in and see the yuck. Why should they?

There is plenty, and it will take time to clean up the mess; and many will see that you are My body. I will be glad. You will be one in Me.

The highway is great. Many travel on it: the ‘Way of Happiness,’ but it leads to destruction. They act like nothing is wrong. The sheep stealers rob the sheep, unawares. They teach them vain imaginations and lead them astray, where destruction awaits those who disobey. It is in the Word.

Read Psalm 26.* David was a man of integrity. He was in the Holy Ghost, awaiting for Me to lead him into truth, until he fell. His fall was great, because he failed to wait on Me. He let lust take over, rule his heart. He fell so hard the whole nation crumbled, aghast at what they saw, cringing, because of David’s sin.

It can happen like this. For there is hurt in the body. The hurt is great. Many hate each other and call it love. Hypocrites cannot rule. They must be in Me to lead. The sheep are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

Faint not, My people. Lean on Me. Come back to where you belong, in My arms. I will hold you where you will not faint, where the wolves will not devour, but there must be love. Love conquers all. Love conquers hate, and brings life.

In The Beginning

It’s been about 3 years since I ended my employment with the Elijah List.

Let me take a small side road: For the record, I am NOT against manifestations. I’ve been “slain in the Spirit”, had Holy Laughter hit me and even physically reacted to the Holy Spirit. Believe me, when God (the Creator of the Universe) touches dirt (you and I), something is going to move. But if God touches us, there is going to be a change, a transformation, a healing of SOME sort. These people who “manifest” outwardly without becoming more and more like Him are NOT under the influence of the Holy Spirit (it’s another kind of spirit). I’ve known several people like this, who can twitch in the middle of WalMart, but have the personality of a troll. They claim to be so in tune with God, but the fruit of their lives speaks otherwise.

Mammon and the Fear of Man

Occasionally, a contributor would send us a “word” with content that didn’t necessarily jibe with the Elijah List’s “encouraging words only” philosophy. Trying to stick with the “encouragement only” philosophy, Steve would have to write introductions (sometimes 3-4 paragraphs long) to the words and try to “play down” the corrective/repentance-based element of the email. There would usually be an effort to direct people to God’s “softer” side. Occasionally, certain “offending” sentences in the submission would be completely re-worded prior to release. These subtle, and sometimes flagrant, manipulations would usually upset the contributor, especially the more “idealistic” ones.

The last time I checked the Bible, a prophet was told not to regard man’s opinion and give the Word of God…. Undiluted.

It was clear to me that, during this phase, the focus had shifted. Mammon and the Fear of Man had become the “god” of the Elijah List. I say this because, from what I experienced, every effort was made to make more money and to please man. Words were released based upon the popularity of the contributor and the profit to be made from the products they sold — not on the truthfulness or relevance the words held.

Touch NOT His Anointed?

Leadership in the prophetic movement, including the Elijah List, has constructed a cleverly crafted wall of deception that has kept them above accountability and immune from criticism and reproach. This wall of deception revolves around the misinterpretation and the misapplication of Matt. 7:1-5 (not judging) and other verses like it.

As a result, no one is able to say that they (the “prophets”) are doing anything wrong. If someone should mention that they see anything wrong with the behavior or deeds of the “prophets”, they are immediately told that they are not walking in love, and that we should give “grace” to the prophet (more on this later). They’re also told that we shouldn’t judge, because we do not want to be judged in like manner … that we should remove the plank from our own eye, rather than point out someone else’s faults (more on this later). And because we put these leaders on a pedestal (in essence, “idolizing” them), it’s really easy for most people to swallow this reasoning and to ignore the sin.

This dynamic also carries over into the church’s relationships with each other, individually. We’re all afraid to say anything about the sin in each others lives because we don’t want to be perceived as “judgmental” or “mean”. Because of this fear, sin in the Body goes unchecked and actually thrives! Why do you think our divorce, abortion, porn use, and drug abuse statistics are equal to the world? Because there is no purity, no holiness, and no Holy Spirit’s Fire in our congregations! Do you know witches and satanists can actually come into our “houses of worship” and feel comfortable? God have mercy on us!

The following verses are conveniently downplayed and/or ignored by the “prophets” and their followers:

  • 1 Cor. 6:3 “Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?” – This verse allows us to discern/judge issues concerning this life.
  • 1 Cor. 6:5 “I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you, not even one, who will be able to judge between his brethren?” – This verse allows us to judge issues between brethren.
  • 1 Cor.  11:31 “For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.” – This verse allows us to judge the sin in our own lives.

To Rebuke, or NOT to Rebuke?

Not only does the bible say we are to judge behavior/issues, it also gives us permission to REBUKE!

  • Luke 17:3 “Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.” – This verse allows us to rebuke our brother/sister who is in sin.
  • 1 Titus 5:20 “Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest also may fear.” – This verse allows us to rebuke an ELDER who is in sin (read prior scriptures for backup).
  • 2 Timothy 4:2 – “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.” – This verse allows us rebuke as a vital part of our preaching!
  • Titus 2:15 –  “Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.” – This verse allows us to rebuke with authority!

Most ministries associated with the Elijah List, the “prophetic” church, and much of the rest of the church, can’t stand it when you bring up these scriptures, because then the possibility of exposed sin creeps its way into their salvation equation. The weirdest thing is, they want to keep the sin hidden, and yet they wonder why they are some of the most battered, bruised and confused people in the church. I experienced it too! During my 7 years at the Elijah List, I had never experienced such defeat, sickness and confusion in my whole life! Whenever one experiences this, they are told that they are just experiencing “spiritual warfare” … that it’s enemy’s fault they are experiencing this trauma. That sounds great to a carnal mind, I mean, after all … who wants to take the blame?

Grace or Licentiousness?

If the Wall of Deception is the misuse of judgment-based scriptures, then the misuse of the term “Grace” is the mortar that holds it together.  Grace is a very nebulous term in prophetic circles and is used to replace “mercy” or “covering sin” in most conversations.  According to Steve Shultz, the Elijah List’s whole philosophy and foundation revolves around this grace.  But when you listen to him preach about grace, usually you walk away with a skewed understanding of it.  The “main idea” being that we should be nice to people because God loves them, and after all, He was nice to you, so you need to do likewise. This isn’t necessarily a wrong idea, but this isn’t “grace”, and it also plays in to the mindset of not judging anyone’s actions, thereby strengthening the Wall of Deception.

Let’s see what the Word says about Grace in Titus 2:11-15:

  • v11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,
  • v12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,
  • v13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
  • v14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
  • v15 Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.

So, from the verses above, I know that if you preach a message of Grace, you need to be teaching a few things.

  • Deny ungodliness and worldly lusts
  • Live soberly and righteously in the present age
  • Look for Jesus’ return
  • (from v14) Be aware of His Work on the cross and how he sought a pure and holy people

What’s more, the message is to be preached (spoke, exhort, rebuke) with Authority. You will not find the above concepts taught in most “grace” messages these days. Unfortunately, what you’ll mostly hear about is more along the lines of “mercy” and how God wants to be your buddy. And to a church culture with itching ears, this is wonderful news! Because Jesus is their buddy, they won’t have to live righteously! They won’t have to live soberly! God has “GRACE” for all of those things!

As a result, licentiousness (unrestrained flesh) reigns supreme in our lives.

… In Jeremiah 23:21-22, God tells the prophet a vital characteristic of True Prophecy:

I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in My counsel, And had caused My people to hear My words, Then they would have turned them from their evil way And from the evil of their doings.

The end result of all prophecy should be God’s people repenting …. turning their hearts back to God. Nowadays, teachings on “third heaven experiences”, “the glory realm” and “breakthrough” are labeled as prophecy. Do you see how even our definition of prophecy has become “man-centered”?

It is not my intention to pick on specific people with this next section. I am using Bob Jones and Paul Cain as examples to show that perversion and error has had a firm foothold from the roots of this movement and is being passed on directly to the “younger” generation of prophets and their followers, who revere the “older” prophets unquestioningly, because they’ve been taught to do so.

Lack of Discernment has a Price

The hard truth is today’s false prophets and their followers boast of great prophetic insights, but actually have little or no discernment at all.

During my 7 years working for the Elijah List (and my 5 years at the Vineyard), I had so many encounters with people influenced by witchcraft (to varying degrees), pornography and the homosexual spirit, and yet NOTHING was said or done about it. As I said before, witches attended these conferences and church services, leaving unconvicted and unsaved. People with homosexual spirits and/or admitted pornography addictions were allowed to give “prophetic words” from the pulpit, unchallenged.

Love’s True Definition

The true prophets in the Old and New Testament had it right! They LOVED their nation to the point where they would say what God told them to say, even if it meant becoming the object of ridicule and disdain in the eyes of those whom they loved. Their Love begged people to repent and turn back to God, not to continue in their ways and hope to get the next “third heaven experience”. They had no concern for the number of followers they had, what conferences they were invited to, or the bottom line $$. They didn’t say ear-tickling messages that would coddle people into a deceptive slumber; they left that to the false prophets, who ALWAYS had a “positive and encouraging” thing to say.

“To be honest with you Coach, you don’t need to LEAD a Bible study; you need to be part of one.”

That was the last thing that my former “pastor” said to me. It happened about seven years ago after I had endured another sissified “men’s meeting” at the church Michele and I had been attending.

The “pastor” had just taken us through one of those touchy-feely-get-in-touch-with-your-feelings lessons and I was about to overdose on Spiritual Diabetes when I approached “Pastor” and asked him if it would be possible for me to help him out by taking over the “men’s ministry”.

“You’re training men to act like women. All that I see around here are a bunch of ‘yes’ men…men who say ‘yes’ to their wives, ‘yes’ to their children, ‘yes’ to the God-hating schools, and ‘above all ‘yes’ to the pastor.”

I never darkened the door again. Today his church is bigger, full of sissified ‘yes” men, he is the unchallenged leader of the pack, with, of course, his bossy “co-pastor” wife, and his flock are sitting ducks.

They don’t even know that they are about to fall into a ditch.

I love writing these commentaries because of the feedback I get from the readers. There are millions of non church-going Christians in the hinterlands of America. God-fearing men and women who love their Lord, love their country, but have had a craw-full of the syrup spewing forth from the pulpits.

The “blind guides” demand loyalty and allegiance to their every command, shooing away the mal-content sheep, as “rebels”, or “troublemakers”, by the millions “the church” is bleeding ‘salt of the earth” Christians in a world where sugar has become the spice of choice.

I hear from them…and I bleat their case. Dare I say it…I pound the drum of disobedience in the church for “resistance to tyrants is obedience to God.” America is in the condition that she is in, not because of the poison in politics, but because of the poison in the pulpits. Most pastors are control freaks.

(I bet this is making those spiritual tyrants nervous.)

I say it is time we stopped worrying about “reclaiming the government” and focused our attention on “reclaiming our churches.” If we can somehow reclaim God’s house, the White House will naturally follow.

America’s problems are spiritual, not political. Read this commentary…it is a dandy.

Most Christians are sheep, blindly following their “shepherd”, obediently paying their tithes, supporting their “pastor” no matter what bilge he is shoving down their throats, completely ill-equipped to defend the faith.

Sheep don’t care whether they end up in a ditch or not, as long as there is plenty of grass on which to graze, even if the ditch is an off-ramp that leads to the slaughter house. Like lambs to the slaughter they ignorantly follow their blind guide.
