Know for sure what God’s Word REALLY says
My response to Michael Brown’s Charisma Article: Why I Never Drink Alcohol, 9/19/2017
Teachers who say Christians should never drink alcohol are going beyond what the Bible says, prohibiting something the Bible does not prohibit. The Bible handles the subject differently, giving guidelines on how to be wise about how much to drink. Also, many studies show that drinking alcohol in moderation can be healthy, which relates to what Paul said to Timothy 2000 years ago, and as Michael said in the article: Jesus turned the water into wine.
Michael says:
“The lesson here is that we should put greater emphasis on helping weaker brothers and sisters than on enjoying our liberty.”
Michael derives this from a lesson that was about eating *food sacrificed to idols,* which the apostles concluded in Acts 15:20 was a sin — taboo. Michael then applies this to drinking alcohol, which is not in the Acts-15 list, implying we should be as he is, to not drink any alcohol at all.
The truth is we can also stumble others by calling something a sin that is not a sin, placing burdens on others that the Bible doesn’t place on them.
Paul’s elders’ qualifications:
Additionally, in Paul’s elders’ qualifications in both 1 Timothy and Titus, Paul does not prohibit overseers from drinking alcohol. Instead, he says leaders must not be “given to wine” (KJV) / “addicted to wine” (NASB).
An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate*, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not addicted to wine** or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money. He must be one who manages his own household well….. And he must have a good reputation with those outside the church, so that he will not fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. (1 Tim. 3:2-4, 7 NASB)
…appoint elders in every city as I directed you, namely, if any man is above reproach, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of dissipation or rebellion. For the overseer must be above reproach as God’s steward, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine**, not pugnacious, not fond of sordid gain, but hospitable, loving what is good, sensible, just, devout, self-controlled***, holding fast the faithful word…. (Tit. 1:5-9 NASB)
Cognate: 3524 nēpháleos (an adjective, derived from 3525/nḗphō, “to be sober”) – properly, not intoxicated, free from negative influences (intoxicants); (figuratively) clear-minded; circumspect (“sober”), free from life-dominating influences.
** not addicted to wine (NASB) or given to wine (KJV), from Thayer’s Greek Lexicon:
STRONGS NT 3943: πάροινος
πάροινος, πάροινον, a later Greek word for the earlier παροίνιος (παρά (which see IV. 1) and οἶνος, one who sits long at his wine), given to wine, drunken: 1 Timothy 3:3; Titus 1:7; (others give it the secondary sense, ‘quarrelsome over wine’; hence, brawling, abusive).
***self controlled from HELPS Word-studies
4998 sṓphrōn (from sōos, “sound, safe” and 5424 /phrḗn, “inner outlook” which regulates outward behavior) – properly, safe (sound) because moderated, referring to what is prudent because correctly (divinely) balanced (which is far more than being “the middle of the road”).
4998 /sṓphrōn (“acting in God’s definition of balance“) makes someone genuinely temperate, i.e. well-balanced from God’s perspective. True balance is not “one-size-fits-all” nor is it blandly static. Biblical moderation (4998 /sṓphrōn) describes “a man who does not command himself, but rather is commanded by God‘” (K. Wuest, Word Studies, 2, 46). This root (sōphro-, “soundness”) then reflects living in God-defined balance.
Why isn’t this mentioned anymore?:
Paul says in Galatians 5 that drunkenness will keep a person from inheriting the kingdom, and “Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.”
The church needs to know that drunkenness is a salvation issue — a sin by which many are going to hell, including those who have been born-again.
The fear of the Lord is to help us keep from sinning. The fear of the Lord should be taught to help people decide how to treat alcohol.
True Christians are led by the Holy Spirit:
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” (Rom. 8:14).
The Holy Spirit will help us know what the balance is on many things, including alcohol, instead of teaching a prohibition that the Bible does not teach.
What the Bible really says about who goes to heaven needs to be again taught in the church, which I do here:
Mt. 16:24: Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life for my sake will find it. 26 For what will it profit a man, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life? 27 For the Son of Man will come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will render to everyone according to his deeds.

I wrote these comments:
Jesus spoke to me in a dream that I was in danger of going to hell *merely* for lusting while watching TV. I then did a careful study, and write what the NT really says here, which includes my dream:
“Not everyone who SAYS to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who DOES the will of my Father who is in heaven.” – Jesus in Mt. 7:21

“Blessed is the man who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to those who love him. – James 1:12 (KJV)
Francis Chan, transcribed by me:
“When I look at Paul’s life, and he goes around telling everyone he can — people are beating him up, spitting on him, stoning him, whipping him, whatever, but he wasn’t going to stop. I look at that, I go: ‘see, but that makes sense.’ Don’t you look at his life and go: ‘in light of hell, his life makes sense.’ Right? And that’s what bugs me. His life makes sense, because if I really believed in a literal hell….”
One person commented:
Chan was talking about Penn of Penn and Teller, I believe. Ive seen where someone from Way of the Master talked to Penn and that was his response, about how much do you hate someone not to tell them about hell.
Paul “always having a conscience void of offense toward God and men” (Acts 24:16) also makes sense in light of hell. His conscience needed to be clear for his own salvation, as well as to be qualified to lead others.

CALVINISM VS ARMINIANISM COMPARISON CHART
The Five Points of Calvinism, also known as the acronym T.U.L.I.P. and the Five Points of Arminianism
CALVINISM | ARMINIANISM |
T – Total Inability or Total Depravity | Free-Will or Human Ability |
Because of the fall, man is unable of himself to savingly believe the gospel. The sinner is dead, blind, and deaf to the things of God; his heart is deceitful and desperately corrupt. His will is not free, it is in bondage to his evil nature, therefore, he will not – indeed he cannot – choose good over evil in the spiritual realm. Consequently, it takes much more than the Spirit’s assistance to bring a sinner to Christ – it takes [complete – ed.] regeneration by which the Spirit makes the sinner alive and gives him a new nature. Faith is not something man contributes to salvation but is itself a part of God’s gift of salvation – it is God’s gift to the sinner, not the sinner’s gift to God. | Although human nature was seriously affected by the fall, man has not been left in a state of total spiritual helplessness. God graciously enables every sinner to repent and believe, but He does not interfere with man’s freedom. Each sinner possesses a free will, and his eternal destiny depends on how he uses it. Man’s freedom consists of his ability to choose good over evil in spiritual matters; his will is not enslaved to his sinful nature. The sinner has the power to either cooperate with God’s Spirit and be regenerated or resist God’s grace and perish. The lost sinner needs the Spirit’s assistance, but he does not have to be regenerated by the Spirit before he can believe…. |
CALVINISM | ARMINIANISM |
U – Unconditional Election | Conditional Election |
God’s choice of certain individuals unto salvation before the foundation of the world rested solely in His own sovereign will. His choice of particular sinners was not based on any foreseen response of obedience on their part, such as faith, repentance, etc. On the contrary, God gives faith and repentance to each individual whom He selected. These acts are the result, not the cause of God’s choice. Election therefore was not determined by or conditioned upon any virtuous quality or act foreseen in man. Those whom God sovereignly elected He brings through the power of the Spirit to a willing acceptance of Christ. Thus God’s choice of the sinner, not the sinner’s choice of Christ, is the ultimate cause of salvation. | God wants to save all men. Those who respond to the call of His Spirit are the elect or the predestinated. (Marston, n.d., n.p.) “God, by an eternal purpose, has determined to save in Christ, and for His sake, all who through the grace of the Holy Spirit believe on Jesus and persevere in faith and obedience to the end.” (Failing, 1978, pp.2-3) |
CALVINISM | ARMINIANISM |
L- Limited Atonement/ Particular Redemption | Universal Redemption or General Atonement |
The atonement of Christ, which was to be the basis for salvation, needed only to include those whom God had already chosen to save. All others, therefore, would be excluded. | Christ’s redeeming work made it possible for everyone to be saved but did not actually secure the salvation of anyone. Although Christ died for all men and for every man, only those who believe on Him are saved. His death enabled God to pardon sinners on the condition that they believe, but it did not actually put away anyone’s sins. Christ’s redemption becomes effective only if man chooses to accept it. |
CALVINISM | ARMINIANISM |
I – Irresistible Grace or the Efficacious Call of the Spirit | The Holy Spirit Can Be Effectually Resisted |
In addition to the outward general call to salvation which is made to everyone who hears the gospel [but is only available to those whom God chooses – editor], the Holy Spirit extends to the elect a special inward call that inevitably brings them to salvation. The internal call (which is made only to the elect) cannot be rejected; it always results in conversion. By means of this special call the Spirit irresistibly draws sinners to Christ. He is not limited in His work of applying salvation by man’s will, nor is He dependent upon man’s cooperation for success. The Spirit graciously causes the elect sinner to cooperate, to believe, to repent, to come freely and willingly to Christ [how is it ‘gracious’ and ‘freely’ if it can’t be resisted – editor?]. God’s grace, therefore, is invincible; it never fails to result in the salvation of those to whom it is extended. | The entire process (election, redemption, regeneration) is the work of God and is by grace alone. Thus God, not man, determines who will be the recipients of the gift of salvation. | The Spirit calls inwardly all those who are called outwardly by the gospel invitation; He does all that He can to bring every sinner to salvation. But inasmuch as man is free, he can successfully resist the Spirit’s call. The Spirit cannot regenerate the sinner until he believes; faith (which is man’s contribution) proceeds and makes possible the new birth. Thus, man’s free will limits the Spirit in the application of Christ’s saving work. The Holy Spirit can only draw to Christ those who allow Him to have His way with them. Until the sinner responds, the Spirit cannot give life. God’s grace, therefore, is not invincible; it can be, and often is, resisted and thwarted by man. |
CALVINISM | ARMINIANISM |
P – Perseverance of the Saints | Falling from Grace |
All who are chosen by God, redeemed by Christ, and given faith by the Spirit are eternally saved. They are kept in faith by the power of Almighty God and thus persevere to the end. | Those who believe and are truly saved can lose their salvation by failing to keep up their faith, etc. | Arminius was of the firm conviction that all men are free moral agents both before and after they are converted. |

Ephesians 4:11-16
He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error; but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ; from whom all the body, being fitted and knit together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in measure of each individual part, makes the body increase to the building up of itself in love.

Jesus:
Most certainly I tell you,
unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies,
it remains by itself alone.
But if it dies, it bears much fruit.

“What happened?”

The idea comes from what Jesus said in John 12:
24 Most certainly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit. 25 He who loves his life will lose it. He who hates his life in this world will keep it to eternal life. 26 If anyone serves me, let him follow me. Where I am, there will my servant also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
Paul taught (and Frank taught in Bible school) Jesus is The Pattern in Php 2:
1 If there is therefore any exhortation in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassion, 2 make my joy full, by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind; 3 doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself; 4 each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others. 5 Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, existing in the form of God, didn’t consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, yes, the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also highly exalted him….
Sadly, virtually all churches today have disqualified leaders who are not blameless, and who teach diabolical false doctrines that are putting the church into bondage.
But we can be like Paul, overcoming by God’s grace, running our race to win!!!
I put together this list:
– –
Paul worked out his own salvation by God’s grace/enablement/empowerment, as he taught others to do:
…work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure. – Php. 2:12-13
I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected. – 1 Cor. 9:27
Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts. – Gal. 5:24
Paul didn’t just say it, but actually made Jesus Lord of his life, ‘pressing on’ to take hold of ‘that’:
…I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, my Lord, for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and count them nothing but refuse, that I may gain Christ and be found in him…. that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death; if by any means I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect; but I press on, if it is so that I may take hold of that for which also I was taken hold of by Christ Jesus. Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, think this way. If in anything you think otherwise, God will also reveal that to you. Nevertheless, to the extent that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule. Let us be of the same mind. – Php. 3:8-16
As Paul predicted, most are on the highway to hell. We, however, can overcome like Paul:
For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but, having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside to fables. …
I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith. – 2 Tim. 4:3-4, 7
Paul made sure he was ALWAYS right with God and men:
Herein I also practice *ALWAYS* having a CONSCIENCE VOID OF OFFENSE toward God and men. (Acts 24:16).
The writer to Hebrews was in complete sync with Paul:
Therefore let us also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider him who has endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, that you don’t grow weary, fainting in your souls. …
Therefore, lift up the hands that hang down and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that which is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.
Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord, looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it; lest there be any sexually immoral person, or profane person, like Esau, who sold his birthright for one meal. For you know that even when he afterward desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for a change of mind though he sought it diligently with tears. – Heb. 12:1-3, 12-17
When Paul saw Jesus face to Face, he had no condemnation. Why, because he made sure he walked according to the Spirit. He put to death the deeds of the body so he could live:
There is therefore now *no condemnation* to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. …
…the mind of the Spirit is life and peace….
…if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.
…we are children of God; and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him. – Romans 8:1, 6, 13-14, 16-17
Let’s be like Paul, overcoming by the Holy Spirit’s grace/enablement, running our races to win!:
…let us walk by the same rule. Let us be of the same mind. – Php. 3:8-16
Jesus desires not only that we abide in Him so we can live eternally with Him, but that we’d be ‘ONE’ with Him and each other that His joy would remain in us and that OUR JOY WOULD BE FULL!:
1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer. 2 Every branch in me that doesn’t bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. 5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If a man doesn’t remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you. 8 “In this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples. 9 Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and remain in his love. 11 I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and THAT YOUR JOY MAY BE MADE FULL.
12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you.
Jesus promised to give us His glory as we become ‘ONE’ with each other in Him that the WORLD WILL KNOW!:
Not for these only do I pray, but for those also who believe in me through their word, that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me.
The glory which you have given me, I have given to them; that they may be one, even as we are one; I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me, and loved them, even as you loved me. Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory, which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world. …that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.” – John 17:20-26
‘ONE’ is what we should be focusing on — overcoming, like Paul, strong together:
“God’s ability to save us isn’t the issue. His great grace isn’t either, nor is his love or his promise never to leave or forsake us. The issue is us. Will we continue to love him? Will we forsake him? Will we make the sacrifice necessary to endure to the end? God’s part in salvation was executed on the cross. Our part doesn’t conclude until the day we enter eternity.”
– John Burton on Facebook
“Presumption regarding our salvation must be replaced with humility and sobriety. There is little value in overconfidence regarding our position in Christ yet there is supreme value in continually analyzing our heart, living in joyful repentance and working out our salvation with fear and trembling.”
– John Burton on Facebook
Jesus’ greatest commandment:
“Those two words, ‘in Him’ are found 164 times in Paul’s epistles.”
“The Christian experience is first and foremost a personal experience. If you don’t have a personal experience with Christ you don’t know Christ, and you don’t have salvation.”
– Chuck Baldwin from The Christian Experience: Personal, Powerful, And Painful – Bible Study on May 3, 2017

The Great Separation!
J.C. Ryle, 1878
… Reader, who are the WHEAT in the world? Listen to me, and I will tell you.
The wheat means all men and women who are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ — all who are led by the Holy Spirit — all who have felt themselves sinners, and fled for refuge to the salvation offered in the Gospel — all who love the Lord Jesus, and live to the Lord Jesus, and serve the Lord Jesus — all who have taken Christ for their only confidence, and the Bible for their only guide, and regard sin as their deadliest enemy, and look to Heaven as their only home. …
Do you believe the Bible? Then depend upon it, Hell is a subject that ought not to be kept back. It is striking to observe the many texts about it in Scripture. … I cannot forget the words of a dying hearer of Mr. Newton’s — “Sir, you often told me of Christ and salvation; why did you not oftener remind me of Hell and danger?”
Let others be silent about Hell if they will — I dare not do so. I see it plainly in Scripture, and I must speak of it. I fear that thousands are on that broad way that leads to it, and I would sincerely arouse them to a sense of the peril before them. What would you say of the man who saw his neighbor’s house in danger of being burnt down — and never raised the cry of “Fire!” What ought to be said of us as ministers, if we call ourselves watchmen for souls, and yet see the fires of Hell raging in the distance — and never give the alarm? Call it bad taste, if you like, to speak of Hell. Call it charity to make things pleasant, and speak smoothly, and soothe men with constant lullaby of peace. From such notions of taste and charity — may I ever be delivered! My notion of charity is to warn men plainly of danger! My notion of taste in the ministerial office, is to declare all the counsel of God. If I never spoke of Hell — I would think I had kept back something that was profitable — and would look on myself as an accomplice of the devil.
Reader, I beseech you, in all tender affection, beware of false views of the subject on which I have been dwelling. Beware of new and strange doctrines about Hell and the eternity of punishment. Beware of manufacturing a God of your own: a God who is all mercy — but not just; a God who is all love — but not holy; a God who has a Heaven for everybody — but a Hell for none; a God who can allow good and evil to be side by side in time — but will make no distinction between good and evil in eternity. Such a God is an idol of your own imagination! It is as true an idol as any snake or crocodile in an Egyptian temple — as true an idol as was ever molded out of brass or clay! The hands of your own imagination and sentimentality have made him. He is not the God of the Bible — and beside the God of the Bible — there is no God at all. …
Beware of being wise above that which is written. Beware of forming fanciful theories of your own, and then trying to make the Bible square with them. Beware of making selections from your Bible to suit your taste — refusing, like a spoiled child, whatever you think bitter — seizing, like a spoiled child, whatever you think sweet. What is all this but taking Jehoiakim’s penknife? What does it amount to but telling God, that you, a poor short-lived worm — know better than He? It will not do! It will not do. You must take the Bible as it is. You must read it all, and believe it all. You must come to the reading of it in the spirit of a little child. Dare not to say, “I believe this verse, for I like it. I reject that, for I do not like it. I receive this, for I can agree with it. I refuse that, for I cannot reconcile it with my views.” Nay! but O man, who are you that replies against God? By what right do you talk in this way? Surely it were better to say over every chapter in the Word, “Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening!” Ah, reader, if men would do this, they would never deny Hell, the chaff, and the fire!

And it’s not only having sex, but lusting, JESUS said in Matthew 5:27-30:
“YE HAVE HEARD that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: BUT I SAY unto you, That whosoever LOOKETH on a woman TO LUST after her hath COMMITTED ADULTERY with her already IN HIS HEART. And IF thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is PROFITABLE FOR THEE THAT ONE OF THY MEMBERS SHOULD PERISH, AND NOT THAT THY WHOLE BODY SHOULD BE CAST INTO HELL. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast INTO HELL.”

“Be Perfect”…..Means, DO NOT SIN! 🙂
Jesus told five out of seven churches of believers in Revelation that they were lost, on the way to destruction. The Smyrna believers were about to enter tribulation, whom he encouraged. Notice again! Jesus said that five out seven Christian churches of believers were on their way to Hell. Only the church of Philadelphia was doing well because they had kept [obeyed] his word with patient endurance.
Massive error had already taken hold 2000 years ago, until today the false church is pervasive with grace supposedly being a license to continue to sin…..And yet it seems evident to me (today) that over 90% of “The Believers” here in America STILL DON’T GET IT AND ARE MARCHING RIGHT INTO HELL…..still believing that they’re “under Grace” while STILL LIVING IN SIN!!!???
– Richard Anderson on Facebook, 4/25/17
John Burton wrote on Facebook:
It’s shocking how many supposed mature Christians argue against the call to holiness (as if it were impossible), and they promote the idea that sin is an unfortunate but expected part of our lives. They believe, contrary to Scripture, that the cross paid the penalty of sin but it doesn’t give us power over sin. Simply, they expect to sin and don’t feel concern over their condition or the sinful habits of others.
The truth is that we never have to sin again. If we do, it should be an uncommon, major event that causes us to hit our face in mourning, tears, brokenness and urgent repentance.
Sin can and does cause many followers of Jesus to spend eternity in Hell. To say sin is an expected part of Christian’s lives is a grievous offense to the cross.
“Unrepentant sin is as eternally deadly for the Christian as it is for the lost. Hell is the future for both.”
– John Burton on Facebook
Jesus told us the TRUTH. There are FEW being saved, and in the church of today MOST are on their way to hell. The reason is, they are listening to MEN, they want to please MEN. People have forgotten about pleasing God. They have forgotten about holiness and righteousness. If you want to enter into HIS Kingdom and be on the narrow road you have learn to please GOD and stop worrying about pleasing men. Are you looking to please men? Are you following the doctrines of men? Or are you really seeking to please JESUS with all your heart, soul and might? May the grace of Jesus be with you.
Are Most People Going to Heaven?
250 YEARS AGO, John Wesley exposed how ludicrous once-saved-always-saved is in just two paragraphs.
Most pastors teach some form of OSAS today, the false doctrine destroying America and keeping ‘ONE’ from happening — Jesus’ prayer in John 17 — “that the world will know!”
Wesley writes:
Calvinists, who deny that salvation can ever be lost, reason on the subject in a marvelous way. They tell us, that no virgin’s lamp can go out; no promising harvest be choked with thorns; no branch in Christ can ever be cut off from unfruitfulness; no pardon can ever be forfeited, and no name blotted out of God’s book! They insist that no salt can ever lose its savor; nobody can ever “receive the grace of God in vain”; “bury his talents”; “neglect such great salvation”; trifle away “a day of grace”; “look back” after putting his hand to the gospel plow. Nobody can “grieve the Spirit” till He is “quenched,” and strives no more, nor “deny the Lord that bought them”; nor “bring upon themselves swift destruction.” Nobody, or body of believers, can ever get so lukewarm that Jesus will spew them out of His mouth.
They use reams of paper to argue that if one ever got lost he was never found. John 17:12; that if one falls, he never stood. Rom. 11:16-22 and Heb. 6:4-6; if one was ever “cast forth,” he was never in, and “if one ever withered,” he was never green. John 15:1-6; and that “if any man draws back,” it proves that he never had anything to draw back from. Heb. 10:38,39; that if one ever “falls away into spiritual darkness,” he was never enlightened. Heb 6:4-6; that if you “again get entangled in the pollutions of the world,” it shows that you never escaped. 2 Pet 2:20; that if you “put salvation away” you never had it to put away, and if you make shipwreck of faith, there was no ship of faith there!! In short they say: If you get it, you can’t lose it; and if you lose it you never had it. May God save us from accepting a doctrine, that must be defended by such fallacious reasoning!”

Burning Down The Shack – Dr. James DeYoung

Righteous people live by faith and not by fear of men.
I understand that most Christians will tell you they have faith, and I understand that say that they fear God, but when it comes down to it MOST PEOPLE FEAR MEN. They don’t want to lose their positions in the world. They fear losing job because they think their own fingers provide for their mouths. They fear what their family would think and what their friends would think if they went out on a limb.
That is why so many Christians cannot have faith even thought they SAY they have faith, and even though they say they fear GOD. They trust their own arms their OWN flesh, they trust their friends, their pastors their churches… They hold onto the “community” and the beliefs of the world system EVEN THOUGH IT IS AGAINST GOD.
They fear MEN. They will not confess that, BUT THEY DO. If they really feared GOD they would be despised by the world, they most likely would lose their friends and they would become righteous.
People fear becoming righteous because you have to go into the FIRE. Jesus is in the FIRE, and most people fear the fire, they don’t want to get burned.
If you count the cost, part of that cost is losing your old life. It is losing your reputation. If you start following Jesus people slander you. You may lose your job, you may lose your friends, but Jesus will never depart from you, He promises to be with us through trials and tribulations. HE promises to be with us until the very end. He promises to be with those who endure. But you have to endure until the very END, and most Christians do not have the FAITH to endure to the end.
Are you enduring with Jesus, and do you have the true faith? Or are you like the Christians who have the fear of men, who SAY they have faith, but who are unwilling to take a stand for righteousness? They are scared to be called “heretics”. They are scared of what their friends and family may THINK if they stand for the TRUTH.

Righteous Live by FAITH Not Fear of Men
I just wrote the following comment on Facebook, in response to this key Romans 11 passage that a friend posted — and thought I’d share it here too.

ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED????
Romans 11:20 Be not highminded, but fear: 21 for if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. 22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
The Founder of “ONLY BELIEVE” — a type of OSAS predating Calvin
It’s amazing to me that Martin Luther’s ‘eureka moment’ was when he saw “the just shall live by faith” in Romans 1. He then built his whole theology on the idea of “only believe,” instead of reading further into Paul’s letter to see key verses in Romans 8 and this crystal clear, balancing passage, to let Paul interpret Paul, instead of making up his own gospel that his itching ears so strongly wanted to believe.
Then Luther didn’t like the book of JAMES at all, because James clearly says we must do something, not just believe. (And we’re not going to believe anyway if we’ve been willfully sinning when we see Jesus face to FACE). So Luther declared that the book of James shouldn’t even be scriptural, and JUDE, HEBREWS and REVELATION were subordinate books.
(“The just shall live by faith” is also in Hebrews 10:26-39, which shows what happens to those who willfully sin without repenting. So no wonder why Luther couldn’t fit his theory into Hebrews, one of the “subordinate books.”)
And it’s not because he didn’t read Paul’s entire books. He translated the entire Bible into German.
His bias must have blinded him, so like most modern teachers today, they somehow ignore the dozens of clear texts that completely refute the “once saved always saved” (OSAS) theory, or “only believe” and “it’s hard to lose one’s salvation.”
Luther said he’d give his Ph.D. cap to anyone who could justify Paul and James.
The truth is he couldn’t even justify Paul and Paul, because he ignored key texts like these.
Luther ended up being a mean person, who told Melanchthon: “sin boldly, because God doesn’t forgive a little sin.” And after he died he wanted to come back as a demon to torment the Catholic leaders (see link below).
That’s what crazy, unbiblical theology can do to a person’s life.
Now, the Lutherans still follow his teaching, often calling themselves “Lutherans” instead of “Christians.”
I was raised Lutheran. I’m glad I read the Bible on my own to see what it really said while in high school.
Lutheranism is one of the biggest deceptions, affecting MILLIONS of people!
From what I’ve seen it appears that Martin Luther is more responsible for once-saved-always-saved than John Calvin; though, Luther’s focus was more on “only believe” and infant baptism than Calvin’s TULIP.
For many Lutheran pastors today, infant baptism is all that’s needed — not even belief.
TRUE BELIEF
“There is therefore now *no condemnation* to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” – Romans 8:1 in a real Bible
“We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and HE WHO REMAINS IN LOVE remains IN GOD, and God remains in him. In this, love has been made perfect among us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, BECAUSE as he is, even so are we in this world.” – 1 John 4:16, 17

Sin causes instant spiritual BLINDNESS… Sadly, most Christians will make a deal with the Devil to gratify the desires of the flesh; truly believing that Father God will forgive them for their wanted/Planned sin after they’ve enjoyed it for a while….This is a PLAGUE in our modern churches…Sin-Repent. Sin-Repent. Sin-Repent….All PLANNED SIN (((INIQUITY))) NEEDS TO BE MOURNED OVER; REPENTED OF, AND DONE AWAY WITH FOREVER IN ORDER TO BE FORGIVEN!!! This is the Plague that causes Blindness in our churches today!
Pastors REFUSE TO (((WARN))) ANYONE OF THIS PLAGUE—ALL THE WHILE TEACHING A (((FALSE-GRACE))) MESSAGE THAT IS LEADING EVERYONE TO HELL in their congregations!!! (((THERE IS NO FORGIVENESS/MERCY/ OR GRACE FOR ACTIVE SIN)))!!!…
Let me put it this way: (IF) you accepted me into your home; gave me a place at your table, and I started ((knowingly)) doing the things you hate, in your house…..Then, feeling guilty and ashamed; I asked you for forgiveness and you forgave me, BUT…..I started doing it again, and again, and again…Wouldn’t you KICK ME OUT OF YOUR HOUSE UNTIL I HAD A TRACK-RECORD OF RIGHTEOUSNESS???
Father God will NOT EVER let anyone into Heaven with WANTED-SIN in their hearts….((THE TRUTH!))
From: Richard Anderson on Facebook
I’ve heard it said from some that Christians are not supposed to suffer….??? Well…HONESTLY, (Being a “Christian”) (IS) the hardest occupation on this Earth! Why do I call it an “occupation”??? Ah, because it has NOW become the HARDEST WORK upon this Earth for anyone to accomplish!!!
Once you’ve accepted Christ; you have entered into an agreement, a covenant, with Him; that you are NOW ((NOT YOUR OWN))–BUT HIS! By this agreement, you are (((CALLED AND COMMANDED TO SUFFER))) for Christ’s sake. For the Kingdom of Heaven’s sake; also for the sake of The lost!
(IF) you are a TRUE Born Again Christian, you have now entered into (((A WAR)))… A war not only with Satan and all his demons, but with this World; the lusts, wants, and desires of it which include: Power, riches, glory, and fame.
Also, you have entered into the hardest part of the battlefield which is a CONSTANT battle with your Flesh, your heart, and your mind…..As NOW you are COMMANDED to surrender ALL and DENY YOURSELF; PICK UP THE OBJECT OF YOUR DEATH (((YOUR CROSS))) and FOLLOW WHERE CHRIST LEADS YOU IN TOTAL OBEDIENCE! 🙂
In order to receive Grace; we must DIE TO SIN!!! (((ALL PREMEDITATED SIN (INIQUITY) MUST DIE WITHIN US ALONG WITH OUR FLESHLY LUSTS, DESIRES, PRIDE, AND WANT OF THIS WORLD HAS TO OFFER!)))…………..
This is HOW a Christians life is to be (IF) they will enter into Heaven! ……………..Acts 14:22
“Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”

I do have some good news regarding this. Right now, with the churches being spiritually dead, it’s hard, but when the Holy Spirit responds after we become ‘ONE’ with each other in Christ “that the world will know” (John 17), the Holy Spirit will empower us together, and:
So our focus should be on: “Now is the Time to OVERCOME and GET RIGHT With ALL.”
“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” – Matthew 16:24 KJV

This is apparently from the Mormon movie: The Life of Jesus Christ, but it’s exactly what Jesus said in Matthew 19:
16 Behold, one came to him and said, “Good teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?” 17He said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good but one, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.” 18 He said to him, “Which ones?” Jesus said, “‘You shall not murder.’ ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ ‘You shall not steal.’ ‘You shall not offer false testimony.’ 19 ‘Honor your father and mother.’ And, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'” 20 The young man said to him, “All these things I have observed from my youth. What do I still lack?” 21 Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” 22 But when the young man heard the saying, he went away sad, for he was one who had great possessions.
