The Source of Christian Love Within Us. Where is the 'Heart'?

Where is the heart (mentioned almost 1,000 times in the Bible)—from where LIFE/rivers of living water should flow in born-again believers?
This is the area that God wants us to keep especially clean—very pretty—pure—so His love can flow!
It’s lower than we think, I think. But may also include the actual heart, which is more than a pump.
This has many ramifications. One of which is achieving real freedom—deep within! And could healing waters come from here too?
I think this may be the source of the love of Jesus within us.  May we learn to flow in it.
Let us be ONE! : )
Consider John 7:38, literally:

Pastor Baldwin: Today's 'Christians'—No Hope In God's Way

From: News with Views

The Old Testament prophet Jeremiah faced a generation that is very similar to the one we face today, I am afraid. Political and corporate leaders had given themselves over to corruption and duplicity. The fundamental underpinnings that founded and supported the nation were being dismantled. And the spiritual leaders seemed to be powerless to do anything about it.

Accordingly, Jehovah God told Jeremiah to give this message to the people of Israel:

[…]

When these Hebrews said, “There is no hope,” they were not saying, “It’s all over. We are all doomed. It is helpless.” No, they were not saying that at all. What they were saying was, “Doing it God’s way offers no hope. We will do it our way. We will rely upon our own devices, wisdom, and strength. We can get ourselves out of this mess.” That is the spirit these people possessed.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I submit that this is exactly the same spirit that many professing Christians display today.

Most everyone, including Christian people, realize that our country is in a mess. They readily agree that a divine healing is needed. They even use the great stories and examples of the Bible to teach our boys and girls how to obey and trust God. They extol the examples of Daniel, the three Hebrew children, Simon Peter and the Apostles, etc. They use these stories to illustrate the importance of putting obedience to God and God’s principles above the machinations and demands of men.

When it comes to voting for and supporting candidates who have proven themselves to be unfaithful to the fundamental principles of liberty and good government, however, these same Christians suddenly become enamored with “the lesser of two evils,” and pragmatism. Doing right gives way to being “practical,” and standing for principle gives way to “not throwing my vote away.”

Had Daniel been “practical,” he would have stopped praying for a few weeks and stayed out of the lions’ den. Had the three Hebrew children been “pragmatic,” they would have given a symbolic bow to the statue of Nebuchadnezzar. And I can just hear Christians living in the First Century talking about how they would vote for Nero over Caligula, as he would be “the lesser of two evils.”

The Government/Press Doesn't Tell Us & MOST 'Christians' DON'T CARE. Where is Your HEART?

Blessed are the merciful,
For they shall obtain mercy.

– Jesus Christ

From: News with Views, Government and Press/Media Cover-Ups, Dennis Cuddy

It’s critical to the power elite’s plans for global control that the public be kept ignorant about important information. …

Another example involves Iraq. The Bush administration keeps telling us about the success of the military surge. However, it fails to inform the public that after five years in Iraq, there are still water shortages and electricity only 2-5 hours a day. Garbage isn’t collected for days or weeks, and many Iraqi government employees want bribes to provide services.

The press/media are also important elements of the power elite’s control over the people, especially in choosing what not to report. For example, they report about Communist Chinese oppression in Tibet, but most don’t report about the persecution of Christians in China. Rutherford Institute president John Whitehead informs us that preparations for the 2008 Olympics in China have included “religious repression, torture, sexual abuse and arbitrary detention.” There’s a photo of house church member Sister Aizhen Miao being shocked by a policeman with an electric cattle prod. Other photos smuggled out of China include a pastor subjected to water torture, another Christian placed in a “tiger cage,” another policeman standing on a woman’s ankles and “rolling” them. Whitehead further commented, “Persecution of religious individuals has been common in China for more than half a century. The major corporate sponsors (of the Olympics) have been silent. The worst of all, though, has been the deafening silence from the evangelical church in America. Shame on American Christians….“

Why have American Christians, the U.S. government and the press/media been largely silent about the persecution of Christians in China? For one thing, they crave the cheap products they can buy made in China. …

Government cover-ups are nothing new. If you asked most people about the recent monument built to President Franklin D. Roosevelt, they would react approvingly of the monument and him. Why? It’s because his misdeeds have been covered up. For example, most Americans are unaware that on December 1, 1943, FDR. at a summit conference in Tehran, Iran, made a secret deal with Stalin to give Poland (and later Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia) to the Soviet dictator. FDR wanted the deal kept secret so Polish-Americans would not vote against him for re-election. Just think of the suffering Poles and others endured under the Soviet dictatorship as a result of FDR.’s actions.

Even today, the press/media are accomplices in covering up the ignorance of American presidential candidates.

John Tesh & Friends: How Important is FORGIVENESS in a Relationship? | FORGIVING: Our GREATEST OPPORTUNITY to SHOW the LOVE of Christ!

Transcribed by Jeff Fenske from TBN, 6/19/08

John Tesh: This brings us to the biggest topic we have not yet discussed. It actually happens to be a topic on the radio show as well. Cause Duke University studied this, and they have empirical data to show that if you want to lower your blood pressure, if you want to cure depression, if you want to live an average of seven years longer, you need to do this one thing.

It is one of the most difficult things in the world to do. For some reason we wrestle with it. People die without being able to accomplish it. It is forgiveness.

And I want to know from our experts, here, how important is forgiveness in a relationship? How can you practice it? How can you get to it? What’s the pathway?

Francis Chan (Pastor): It’s huge, because Biblically, we pray like the Lord’s prayer, which just about everyone in the world knows. We say, “forgive us our debts as we forgive our….” We’re saying, “God, forgive me in the same way as I forgive someone else.” So this is huge! You’re saying, “God, okay, so if I’m only going to forgive a person this much,” I’m saying, “God, forgive me that much also.”

Gary Smalley (relationship counselor/speaker/author): I really think that’s the key, because it’s so much easier for me to even verbalize the words, “I forgive someone,” because I recognize all the things God’s forgiven me, all the things I’ve done in life to offend people throughout my entire 68 years of life. And so it’s a lot easier for me to forgive.

But also, I forgive because I know that when someone does something to me to offend me and I feel the pain, I know from scripture—one of my favorite verses on earth is 2 Corinthians 12:9 & 10, 2 Corinthians 12:9 & 10, because it says, “when we go through insults and harm and difficulties and hardships and all the junk we go through, and we get offended by people, God’s grace is always sufficient. His grace is his love and power he gives us. And we get filled up with more of his love and power when and after we’ve been offended.

So it’s pretty easy, it’s easier for me to forgive someone when I realize that I’ve been gifted by them in a sense. But this has taken me, you know, years, to get to this place.

John Tesh: But then you have a woman who comes into therapy who’s been cheated on by her husband five times, and she’s been in therapy with you guys. You say, well, “you gotta get to forgiveness, you gotta get to forgiveness.” When is it enough? When is it over?

Amy Smalley (Gary’s daughter-in-law, marriage counselor): It’s really hard, I think, sometimes, to get ‘forgiveness,’ because…sometimes people will interpret forgiveness as them saying, “you know, it was okay for you to do that to me. It was okay for you to commit adultery. It was okay for you to physically assault me. It was okay.” And that’s not what forgiveness is all about. Forgiveness is about not holding that blame, or not basically keeping that energy. Because unforgiveness takes maintenance. You know, harboring that bitterness and all that stuff, it takes energy.

And it’s basically: forgiveness says, “I release you from that. I release you, and I will move on.” And when you can phrase it, and we can really get it in our heads that that’s what forgiveness is about. Yes, it’s about releasing that other person, but a lot of it is about releasing us.

John Tesh: And if there’s no repentance there, if someone is harming you, if someone continues to cheat on you, I don’t have the scripture in front of me, but I’m assuming the Bible does not say well ‘stick around and be abused.’

Michael Smalley (Gary’s son, marriage counselor): No, it certainly doesn’t. But I think sometimes people’s biggest block towards forgiveness is in fact they don’t realize that forgiveness is for them. We’re not talking about reconciliation. Reconciliation means the guy is apologizing, he’s saying ‘I want to get my life right.’ He’s confessing that sin to Christ, and forgiveness is me and for me. Because here’s the deal: what Christ taught us is that Christ literally can’t live with you if you have unforgiveness in your heart. This is not a little thing we’re talking about. I mean the two are totally incompatible.

Gary Smalley: We are in darkness.

Michael Smalley: We are in total darkness, and you are literally building a wall, a cell, a Fort Knox of your soul that prevents you from that relationship with Christ that you so desperately need for all the other junk going on. And the saddest part is that the only thing unforgiveness hurts—because, see, we think “if I hold unforgiveness, I think I’m punishing her”—the only person I’m punishing is me.

Gary Smalley: Unforgiveness is drinking poison and hoping the other person gets sick.

John Tesh: Wow, that’s deep.

Francis Chan: I was going to say it’s our one opportunity to really show the love of Christ. Because it’s when she’s [pointing to his wife, Lisa] loving me I’m loving her back, that’s not the love of Christ. The love of Christ is when you’re nailed to a cross and you’re saying, “forgive them, they know not what they do.” Now, I’m showing the world the love of Christ.

And people get so angry when someone offends them. But I’m going, man, that’s your only chance to show Christian love on this earth is when you are offended and you love them in return. Because Jesus says, “if you love those who love you back, big deal, anyone can do that. But you’ll be my sons when you love those who hurt you, who hate you, your enemies.”

And so I tell couples: what a great opportunity. This may be the greatest opportunity of your life to show the love of Jesus by forgiving your husband or forgiving your wife.

Vision: The Coming Hydrogen Based Energy Revolution & Global Shift in Power

From: Sid Roth’s It’s Supernatural, week-of-5/26/08 program

Hello, Sid Roth here, welcome to my world where it is just naturally supernatural. Who would want to be anywhere else?

My guest Jason Westerfield has been doing it again; it has been provoking me to jealously. This young man is normal. What is normal? Read the book, the Bible, that’s normal. Go to most churches; that is abnormal. You measure normal by what Jesus did. The same works that he did we are supposed to do. Well it is preached a lot, but it is not shown a lot.

Jason, you had about a forty-minute download of what God is going to do in the economy. I would like to learn a little bit about this.

Jason: Well I was having breakfast with my wife, I wasn’t feeling very spiritual, just enjoying breakfast with my wife, and a vision opened up to my left for about 40-45 minutes, and the Lord began to show me the coming energy revolution. So just as we had an industrial age, right now this generation will be known as the energy age and energy revolution.

And he showed me how we were going to be going to a hydrogen based world economy, and when that begins to come about, the different changes, geo-politically will take place on the planet and there will be a massive human rights movement take place.

And I saw some converters that because of these converters every nation will be able to utilize and be self-sufficient in their energy and because of that the world will not be dependent on oil and we will see literally a global shift in power begin to take place.

Ed Young: Joseph—Betrayal, Forgiving, Trust, Patience & Loyalty—"Let God Take Care of Revenge"

Romans 12:14-21:

Bless those who persecute you; bless, and don’t curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind one toward another. Don’t set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Don’t be wise in your own conceits. Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, “Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.” Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.” 21 Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Betrayal hurts. And when we fall into the pit of betrayal, we come out with some nasty bruises and residue on our lives. The same thing happened to Joseph. But when Joseph crawled out of the pit of betrayal, he didn’t let the residue ruin the rest of his life.

In this message, Ed Young traces the life of Joseph through climbing out of the pit and in to the next phase of his life. And as we learn how he responded to the betrayal from his brothers, we learn how Joseph’s loyalty allowed him to breakthrough the bonds of betrayal time and time again.

(full movie) 'THE ROBE' (1953) — The GOD of ALL COMFORT! "As the SUFFERINGS of Christ ABOUND to us, OUR COMFORT also ABOUNDS through Christ!!!" (2 Cor. 1)

Released in 1953, The Robe actually won Oscars in a then more ‘beautiful’ America. And of the many movies I’ve seen in my lifetime, The Robe is one that gives me great comfort—especially when considering what could happen to us if we lose this country and we have to take a pretty heavy stand for Christ! I love the Christian community which I give the start time for in the video of the film, below. The sweet spirit of its leader with the white hair often stands out in my mind as a standard for Christian leadership. And the ending is phenomenal!! No matter what happens, the joy of the Lord can remain in our hearts forever!

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? … Nay, in all these things we are MORE THAN CONQUERORS through him that loved us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom. 8:35-39)

“To live is Christ; to die is gain!”

There is nothing to worry about when we’re truly in Christ (“who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit” – Rom. 8:1b)!

God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. (1Cor. 10:13)

When the sufferings of Christ flow, His comfort flows!!!!!!!

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound to us, even so our comfort also abounds through Christ. But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. If we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer. Our hope for you is steadfast, knowing that, since you are partakers of the sufferings, so also are you of the comfort. (2 Cor. 1:2-7)

The Robe, was nominated for five Academy Awards in 1953, including best picture and best actor. Burton stars as Marcellus Gallio, the Roman centurion charged with overseeing the crucifixion. But when he wins Christ’s robe in a gambling game at the foot of the cross, his life is forever changed. The movie is based on a novel (fiction) yet it is inspiring, in its depiction of Christ’s crucifixion and the power of His life and death, and the novel (written by Lloyd C. Douglas) has been read by tens of millions of readers..

Many Pastors Still Teach Old Covenant, Pre-Pentecost Tithing—Not Spirit-Led Giving

From: The Barna Group, New Study Shows Trends in Tithing and Donating, April 14, 2008

Tithing Since 2000

The percentage of adults who tithe has stayed constant since the turn of the decade, falling in the 5% to 7% range. The Barna tracking reported that the proportion of adults who tithed was 7% in 2006 and 2005; 5% in 2004 and 2003; 6% in 2002; and 5% in 2001.

Origins of Tithing

Strangely, tithing is a Jewish practice, not a Christian principle espoused in the New Testament. The idea of a tithe – which literally means one-tenth or the tenth part – originated as the tax that Israelites paid from the produce of the land to support the priestly tribe (the Levites), to fund Jewish religious festivals, and to help the poor. The ministry of Jesus Christ [actually, the arrival of the Holy Spirit – editor], however, brought an end to adherence to many of the ceremonial codes that were fundamental to the Jewish faith. Tithing was such a casualty. Since the first-century, Christians have believed in generous giving, but have not been under any obligation to contribute a specific percentage of their income.

Amazingly, the disinfo continues in American churches. Notice the reasoning used in the following article, while considering the state of churches today—where the money comes in no matter what—where people aren’t being taught to be led by the Holy Spirit and common sense in the crucial issue of $money$—the love of money being the root….
Many pastors aren’t currently qualified to lead—so shouldn’t be getting any money. The money shouldn’t automatically come in. The law of tithing was set up so those who were born into the Levitical priesthood would have provision to be able to perform their old covenant duties.
Now we have “a better way”—Hebrews 7.

The pastor should tithe, the church should tithe, and everybody that attends should tithe,” Matthews [pastor of the 1,200-member New Life Interfaith Ministries in Bessemer, Ala] said. “It’s fair for everybody, high income or low income. It’s still the first dime out of every dollar. It’s a management system. Do I trust God? If I can’t be trusted with that, how can I be trusted with more?

Many [pre-new covenant/pre-Pentecost – editor] passages in the Bible cite the command to set aside the first 10 percent of the harvest for God.

“It’s something God insti-tuted even before the Bible, with the tree in the Garden of Eden,” Matthews said. “You have every tree, but of one tree, don’t touch.” [This is even farther out there than the more commonly taught, if-pre-law-then-must-also-be-post-law fallacy, which states that because tithing happened before the law (once with Abraham & Melchizedek) it must apply after the law – editor.]

Pateo recalled how tight finances were when her children were in day care and her salary barely covered the costs. But she believes it’s a religious duty to tithe to her church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.

“It’s not easy,” she said. “But other blessings come to you if you are faithful.”

The Low-Cut Top Epidemic: May We Be Holy

I’d like to address the current ‘fad’ of women wearing low-cut tops, because I’ve spoken with both men and women who call themselves ‘Christians’ who actually told me that it’s okay for Christian women to dress this way.

Fairly recently, a pastor even responded: “how low is too low,” after I brought up to him that women on staff were wearing low-cut tops during church services. I probably wouldn’t have said anything, but this pastor had been emphasizing how he wanted us to do what Jesus did, and I was very enthusiastic about being a part of this. But then I started seeing a pattern that I hoped wasn’t a big red flag that would put a kibosh on what I had hoped would be real Christianity.
I noticed how he would teach over and over the promises that Paul wrote, while glossing over the adjacent passages that clearly mentioned the cost. He would expound on the glorious inheritance that is ours, now, as children of God without teaching what Paul stated is required to be a child of God.

In the 80s, I was blessed to be able to attend a church in which some the elders’ wives [thank you, Carol & the others!] taught the women specifics on dressing modestly. It wasn’t over-the-top stuff like women could only wear dresses, never pants, but rather practical ways to live out what the Bible teaches, to dress modestly. Basically, tight and revealing clothing were not appropriate for Godly women, because inappropriate attire could be a stumbling block for guys.

And in this setting, we guys and gals saw God move in many significant ways during some of our Bible school classes and during “Prayer and Praise.” It was great!

Today, few churches have the conviction and courage to teach the truth about modesty. And lust reigns in many a “Christian'” heart—both men and women. And this is not just one of the issues that will keep the kingdom of God happening among us, this is absolutely also a salvation issue, which I cover in Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures.

This is very serious; though, many who have truly been born-again now have their consciences so seared by the lack of modesty in our society that they no longer feel shame when wearing revealing clothing or when willfully looking. And it’s come to the point that some “Christians” will actually say that ‘Christian’ women wearing low-cut tops is no big deal.

Perhaps there are some women who don’t understand how visually God made most guys to be—how attractive the female form is to most guys. I say “most guys,” because perhaps there are some men who really do have the gift of singleness, and aren’t in this way attracted. But most of us do not have this gift.
I’d like to share an experience that I had about 20 years ago, long before the low-top craze. I was attending an exercise class in a small studio. The instructor was female. I was doing just fine, concentrating on her instructions until she bent over, facing us. I freaked! She was close to my type, and I was seeing things I shouldn’t see.

I think she saw in the expression of my face my reaction. And I never returned; though, doing these exercises probably would have benefited my health greatly.
Since then, I’ve learned to train my eyes to quickly look away (some call this bouncing the eyes), for when in close proximity, the field of view of non-peripherial human vision is so narrow that we can look at a woman’s face without seeing clearly what is below. But ladies, most guys are not going to be this careful. But every Christian man should be. For example, Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount teaching is so crystal clear. Lust is adultery and a damming sin:

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery;’ but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna. If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna. (Matthew 5:27-30)

Likewise, Paul was clear in his teaching toward Christian women:

I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. (1 Timothy 2:8-10)

One author interprets shamefacedness (Greek: aidos) this way:

The word shamefacedness comes from a Greek word which means literally “downcast eyes,” but it is meant in a good sense and refers to one who is ashamed to overstep the limit of womanly reserve.

In my Let Us Be One prophecy, God said it this way in the chapter I call Jesus’ Dress Code:

My people, live as ONE, not judging one another, being critical of how they dress, one more popular than another. We are all different. Everyone is unique.

Give people space, as long as it’s holy. You need to have righteousness girded about your loins. Hide yourself. They don’t need to see everything. That is for your husband, only him.

Be careful; this is right.

God designed women to be very attractive to men. And there are certain things that only the woman’s husband should see—no matter what the Devil through society is telling us.

Freedom in Christ is in part freedom from actual lust demons that drive probably the majority of Americans to not be free in the lust area. Not giving the demons a place at all is the only way to be lust-demon free.

We need to “be careful. This is right.”

Praise God!

It's Okay To Be Lonely For Now: The Spiral Staircase Vision

I hope this encourages those who are currently really seeking God, but who aren’t getting a lot of positive feedback, because so few are really climbing the staircase together. This has encouraged me, ever since I first heard it. It’s okay to be lonely—until real Christianity happens among many—which I hope is soon to come.
This is based upon my memory of what I saw a man share at a Vineyard Church about 15 years ago. I don’t remember if he said it was a dream or a vision.
He saw a spiral staircase that someone, possibly himself was climbing. God was at the top. The higher the person climbed, the closer he or she got to God—but also the lonelier he or she became, because there were so few people climbing very high on the staircase, actually getting close to God.
Gleanings:
The important thing is to climb, whether people go with us or not. Climbing is always the right thing to do. We shouldn’t determine how high we will climb based upon how many are willing to climb with us.
And we should always remember that climbing the staircase toward God will never be in vain; though, it may be lonely on the journey until real revival comes.
I long for that day when many will worship the Lord in Spirit and in TRUTH, but until that day, may we not grow weary of well doing, endeavoring to love the Lord, our God, with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength—and all of our neighbors as ourselves—whether they’re climbing the spiral staircase or not.
May the joy of the Lord be our strength as we climb upstream, regardless the pull of the opposition.

Another Reason To Be Holy: Purity Attracts Angels (Filth Repells) | The Coming Healing Revival

Excerpted from: pdf transcript of Sid Roth It’s Supernatural! — April 28-May 4, 2008

Sid: …my guest, Steven Brooks, wakes up one evening, and not, not 2, not 3, not 4, but 5 angels are in a circle around him! … Why were they there? What was there purpose?

Steven: Well they came to talk to me, they said “we want to talk with you about the spirit of Holiness.” And for 30 minutes, they did most of the talking, I was allowed to ask a few questions, but for 30 minutes, they told me how important it is to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord with Holiness. That an individual has a responsibility to do there part,

Sid: Is Holiness the way you dress? Is Holiness, an external thing? What were they telling you?

Steven: Sure, that is a good question, because when they talked with me, there wasn’t a trace of what we would call legalism, or you can’t do this or you can’t do that. Because in our heart we know the Holy Spirit will lead us to do things, that are pleasing to the Lord. But there is an element of doing things, there are certain things that you don’t want to put into your ears. There are certain things that you don’t want your eyes to see. You want to maintain purity as much as possible, because that also will attract the angels. An impure thought life, the angels pick up on that, In the spirit realm, they are able to see, what we are emanating, what’s radiating out of us,

Sid: I have to ask you a question. What happens if someone watches TV, that is very violent, are we talking about something like that, or are we talking about something much deeper?

Steven: Yes, No those types of things bring a type of spiritual defilement, and the person may think, that doesn’t affect me, but in the spirit realm, those things are very easily distinguished. Angels can tell what a person is emanating, If you’re emanating the love of God, and that purity, they want to be around you. But if a person puts all kinds of garbage and filth inside of there mind, and inside of there thinking, evil spirits are able to tell what a person is emanating and they will be attracted to that. Impure thoughts, they will gather around that. Thoughts of self-centeredness, depression, that draws them. So there’s ways that we need to live, that are holy and pleasing to the Lord, to please the Lord, and to create and atmosphere that’s conducive to the Holy Spirit.

______________________________

Sid: Now man looks at someone on television someone that has a meeting with 10,000, 100,000 people in attendance, but I think God’s measurement is different then man’s.

Steven: It can be completely different, the way the Lord measures success. It’s really being obedient to the Lord and doing what he told you to do, whatever that might be, that’s where the reward is at, that’s where the anointing is at.

______________________________

Sid: Hello Sid Roth here, with Steven Brooks, and Steven had a visitation from Jesus. Jesus described to him the next, the greatest, move of the God’s Spirit in history for healing and miracles that’s about ready to happen. Steven, what did He tell you?

Steven: Well, the interesting thing, Sid, is that the Lord said “I want to talk with you about the coming healing revival,” and I was very interested in that. And so, He began to share some things with me, and one of the things I want to share is that it’s America’s turn.

______________________________

Sid: I hear so much bad stuff about America, it’s good to hear some good about America.

Steven: Well praise the Lord, there’s some great things coming. The Lord has provoked the American church to jealousy. We’ve heard about the great miracles, even the creative miracles, in South America, in Africa, and different parts of the world, but we’ve only seen little tidbits of that here in America. But that is coming to America. These great creative miracles are coming to America, and a healing revival is going to hit a level that will surpass anything that’s ever happened in church history. It’s going to be very powerful.

Sid: Give me some specifics He told you of the types of healings.

Steven: The Lord gave me several specific examples. He said one thing that will happen in these meetings, they’ll run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. He said they’ll run around the clock. It’ll just be a total outpouring of His Spirit. He said one thing that’ll take place is that people that have suffered sever burns, even third degree burns which can even be fatal, they’ll be brought into the meeting and laid out in the meeting, He said they’ll be completely healed and receive brand new skin. …

Sid: What did He tell you about brain damage?

Steven: He told me even children that have Down’s syndrome, or people that have suffered mental retardation, they’ll come into the meetings. The Lord told me this, He said they will sit under that glory and sit in that glory that will be in those meetings, and He said in two weeks they’ll be completely healed; their mind will be completely restored to them.

So we shouldn’t fret or give up if healing doesn’t take place immediately. The key is to maintain an atmosphere of holiness—where we are one with Christ and one with each other, 24/7—and then bask in the glory of God, which will be there because: “Draw near to God, and He’ll draw near to you” (James 4).
The angels and God, the HOLY Spirit will draw near to us—as we are in Christ together—Jesus’ heart-cry for us in John 17!!!
And for right now, individually, It’s very exciting to me that not only does God draw near to us when we draw near to Him, but the angels do too. It’s not just a God thing; angels are involved also. Our own homes can be environments of healing—living in LOVE!
And especially when we get together, our own personal holinesses will become a group holiness, which will bring about the setting in which phenomenal miracles will take place—to the glory of God!
“Then the world will know….” (John 17)!
Praise God!

May the Lord Strengthen Your HEART—Behold the BEAUTY of the Lord

I had a heavy dream this morning in which certain people were actively trying to take me out.
Normally, I try to wake myself up enough in order to write down all dreams that I think are probably from the Lord. It’s so easy to talk myself out of doing this to go back to sleep, even though I make sure my laptop is by my side.
This time, this was obviously a warning dream from the Holy Spirit, but I reasoned in my sleepiness that all I needed to remember is that these people were serious in their evil activity against me. But in hindsight, I probably would have learned significant things from the details of the dream, which I don’t remember.
Afterward, I heard very clearly: “Psalm 27.” I thought, “Great! God is giving me the solution!” I really was going to read it, but then went back to sleep and forgot about it until now—when thankfully, probably by the grace of God, I remembered.
What a beautiful answer to this yukky dream!
The New King James version showcases the heart as the focal point (v. 13, 14):

I would have lost heart,
unless I had believed that I would see
the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And he shall strengthen your heart;

Wait, I say, on the Lord!

<< Psalm 27 >>
World English Bible

1 Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?

2 When evildoers came at me to eat up my flesh, even my adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.

3 Though an army should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against me, even then I will be confident.

4 One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in the house of Yahweh all the days of my life, to see Yahweh’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple.

5 For in the day of trouble he will keep me secretly in his pavilion. In the covert of his tabernacle he will hide me. He will lift me up on a rock.

6 Now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me. I will offer sacrifices of joy in his tent. I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to Yahweh.

7 Hear, Yahweh, when I cry with my voice. Have mercy also on me, and answer me.

8 When you said, “Seek my face,” my heart said to you, “I will seek your face, Yahweh.”

9 Don’t hide your face from me. Don’t put your servant away in anger. You have been my help. Don’t abandon me, neither forsake me, God of my salvation.

10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up [“then the Lord will take care of me” – NKJV].

11 Teach me your way, Yahweh. Lead me in a straight path, because of my enemies.

12 Don’t deliver me over to the desire of my adversaries, for false witnesses have risen up against me, such as breathe out cruelty.

13 I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living.

14 Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. By David.

Praise be to Jesus!!!

An Evangelical Manifesto: 'Christians' Have Become 'Useful Idiots' for Political Parties—Creating a Backlash Against Religion

From: CNN

Conservative Christian leaders who believe the word “evangelical” has lost its religious meaning plan to release a starkly self-critical document saying the movement has become too political and has diminished the Gospel through its approach to the culture wars.

The declaration encourages Christians to uphold traditional marriage, as in this Massachusetts protest.

The statement, called “An Evangelical Manifesto,” condemns Christians on the right and left for using faith to express political views without regard to the truth of the Bible, according to a draft of the document obtained Friday by The Associated Press.

“That way faith loses its independence, Christians become ‘useful idiots’ for one political party or another, and the Christian faith becomes an ideology,” according to the draft.

The declaration, scheduled to be released Wednesday in Washington, encourages Christians to be politically engaged and uphold teachings such as traditional marriage. But the drafters say evangelicals have often expressed “truth without love,” helping create a backlash against religion during a “generation of culture warring.”

“All too often we have attacked the evils and injustices of others,” the statement says, “while we have condoned our own sins.” It argues, “we must reform our own behavior.”

Coach Daubenmire: The Death of Shame

From: News with Views

Shame–the painful feeling arising from the consciousness of something dishonorable, improper, ridiculous, etc., done by oneself or another.
I’m not really sure when it began, as it has been a gradual thing, I’m sure. But like the slow removal of a grass stain from a teenager’s hack-around T-shirt, the impression has slowly been extracted from the conscience of America.
Whatever happened to shame?
I suppose some of it could be traced to Dr. Spock, as he is responsible for so much of what is wrong with child-rearing these days, or to Benjamin Bloom, and John Dewey, two acolytes-of-atheism, men who promoted the Humanistic ideals that have replaced Christianity as the bedrock of our educational system. If it feels good, do it” has replaced “Thou shall not.”
But the bare boned bottom line is that the goal of “building self-esteem” in our young children required the elimination of any type of negative reinforcement and led to the development of the value system we now see permeating the American culture.
[…]
Everyone lies. We’re all sinners, Coach!” Well, I guess you’re right, but there was a time in America when you were taught to be ashamed of your sin. Sadly, those days have gone the way of sin-hating Christians.

Kupelian: The Passion of the Christian—Clearly, We're Missing Something BIG

From: WorldNetDaily

And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
– Mark 8:34-37
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
– Luke 9:23
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
– Matthew 10:38
…viewing “The Passion of the Christ” is powerfully rekindling many believers’ appreciation for what Jesus endured for their sakes.
Question: Will this roaring fire of gratitude for Christ’s suffering and death on the cross also rekindle – or ignite for the first time – a fire in the belly of believers for “taking up the cross” themselves?
What about it? Is it enough to immerse our minds and souls and emotions in the graphic realization of Christ’s immense suffering on our behalf? Or are we going to go the distance, finish the race, and fulfill Jesus’ direct and repeated instruction that each of us “take up his cross daily”? …
But you see, there’s something really wrong with today’s Christianity. Over 80 percent of Americans consider themselves Christians, but our country’s government, laws, culture and institutions, from its education system to it is entertainment industry – are increasingly and overtly hostile to Christianity. Even Christian families all too often are falling apart. Believe it or not, the divorce rate among Christians is higher than that of unbelievers, according to respected Christian pollster George Barna. Clearly, we’re missing something big.
So, can you handle a little tough love? Here it is: Just continually telling each other about Jesus’ death and resurrection is not enough. It’s not what He taught. Jesus didn’t say, “Just talk about me and you’ll be saved.” Rather, He said: “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 4:17) And “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.” (John 15:10) And “… he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” (Matthew 24:13 KJV)

Ed Young: "Just Lust"—Dealing with Lust

Here is half of Ed Young’s topically important, six-part, video series.
I would like to add that lust is absolutely a salvation issue. We must overcome no matter what! At least Ed presents some of the truth here. Praise God! I think America has fallen into the trap of worshiping the creation instead of the creator (Rom. 1:24, 25).
Also not mentioned: lust is a demon overcoming issue. Demons drive lust—once we have let them in by lusting even just a little bit. 0%, cold turkey is where freedom reigns—a rest that can be tangibly felt! There should only be one ‘painter’ inside: the Holy Spirit (referring to what Ed says in message 6: “Leaving Lust Vegas”). We should be free.
Submit to God; resist the Devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)

Andrew Strom is Leaving Us—Not Having Seen the Revival Come

From: Revival School, Mar 15, 2008

I was originally going to entitle this “God is Sending us Home”, because it is certain that our beloved homeland of New Zealand is our first stop. But as I said a week ago, the call to Africa and the Third World is very strong, and I do not know how much longer God will even have us remain in the West.
We have been pondering and praying over this move home for a long time. We have lived in the USA for over 4 years and we know that God brought us here for a purpose, so we have certainly not been in any hurry to leave. In fact, we thought we would be staying. But on my most recent ministry trip to the Midwest, I finally received a very strong and definite confirmation that we are to return “Down Under”. So, dear friends, we depart in a matter of days. …
I remember just before my first trip to America in 2003, God actually gave me a message while I SLEPT – which had never happened before. It was about the “windows of Revival” which open in America roughly every 50 years – and how disastrous it would be if America “missed her next window”. When I awoke I went and checked the history books – and there it was! – A 50-year cycle of Awakenings in America – going back 250 years. And they were due for the next one right then! How disastrous it would be if they missed it. And so, on my first trips to America, that is just what I preached. -A very serious and urgent warning that I believe came directly from God Himself.
And now here I am five years later, called by God to leave one of the nations in the world that I have loved the most. We came here longing to see America come into her next Awakening, but now we leave wondering what on earth is going to happen. For years we spent our time urging the people to PRAY, exhorting the preachers to return to a piercing message of holiness and Repentance. My friends, has it all been in vain?
