The Christian and Romans 7

by Shem Peachey

[Out of print – 1976]

How would you feel if the Bible taught that you could never rise higher in your spiritual life than the man in Romans 7? Would you shout “Praise the Lord” or would you flounder in the “Slough of Despond”? Let us together be challenged to understand Romans 7 as we believe Paul intended for it to be understood.

Chapter 6 is recognized as the new birth passage of Romans, echoing chapter 5. “How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” (Romans 6:2). Romans 6:1-11 explains the process of the new birth, and 6:12-23 describes the new life. Repeatedly, we are said to have died with Christ and to sin. Four times we are said to be risen with Christ, or to be alive unto God. And three times in Romans 6 we are said to be free from sin.

Martin Luther’s Letter Calling Jews ‘Devils Incarnate Who Curse our Lord’ on Auction for $300,000

A letter written nearly 500 years ago by Martin Luther in which he refers to Jews as “devils incarnate” during a tirade against a former ally is up for auction by RR Auction in Boston. According to the auction house, it is an extensive, excptionally well-preserved letter, on both sides of the same page, to Georg Buchholzer, Provost of St. Nikolai in Berlin, regarding the latter’s dispute with the Brandenburgian court preacher and Luther’s student Johann Agricola from Eisleben (a.k.a. “Magister Eisleben”) about the treatment of the local Jews. …

Buchholzer at one point wrote to Luther asking for his interpretation of Biblical verses on which Agricola justified his pro-Jewish views. In his answer, Luther insisted that Buchholzer was right to preach against the Jews and should continue to do so, ignoring Agricola, the habitual liar.

“For these Jews are not Jews, but devils incarnate who curse our Lord, who abuse His mother as a whore and Him as Hebel Vorik and a bastard, this is known for certain. And anyone who is capable of eating or drinking or associating with such a foul mouth is a Christian as much as the devil is a saint… You may show this letter to whomever you wish.”

Martin Luther, the original grace changer, OSAS founder who has led so many astray

I just wrote the following comment on Facebook, in response to this key Romans 11 passage that a friend posted — and thought I’d share it here too.

– –

ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED????

Romans 11:20 Be not highminded, but fear: 21 for if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. 22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

The Founder of “ONLY BELIEVE” — a type of OSAS predating Calvin

It’s amazing to me that Martin Luther’s ‘eureka moment’ was when he saw “the just shall live by faith” in Romans 1. He then built his whole theology on the idea of “only believe,” instead of reading further into Paul’s letter to see key verses in Romans 8 and this crystal clear, balancing passage, to let Paul interpret Paul, instead of making up his own gospel that his itching ears so strongly wanted to believe.

Then Luther didn’t like the book of JAMES at all, because James clearly says we must do something, not just believe. (And we’re not going to believe anyway if we’ve been willfully sinning when we see Jesus face to FACE). So Luther declared that the book of James shouldn’t even be scriptural, and JUDE, HEBREWS and REVELATION were subordinate books.

(“The just shall live by faith” is also in Hebrews 10:26-39, which shows what happens to those who willfully sin without repenting. So no wonder why Luther couldn’t fit his theory into Hebrews, one of the “subordinate books.”)

And it’s not because he didn’t read Paul’s entire books. He translated the entire Bible into German.

His bias must have blinded him, so like most modern teachers today, they somehow ignore the dozens of clear texts that completely refute the “once saved always saved” (OSAS) theory, or “only believe” and “it’s hard to lose one’s salvation.”

Luther said he’d give his Ph.D. cap to anyone who could justify Paul and James.

The truth is he couldn’t even justify Paul and Paul, because he ignored key texts like these.

Luther ended up being a mean person, who told Melanchthon: “sin boldly, because God doesn’t forgive a little sin.” And after he died he wanted to come back as a demon to torment the Catholic leaders (see link below).

That’s what crazy, unbiblical theology can do to a person’s life.

Now, the Lutherans still follow his teaching, often calling themselves “Lutherans” instead of “Christians.”

I was raised Lutheran. I’m glad I read the Bible on my own to see what it really said while in high school.

Lutheranism is one of the biggest deceptions, affecting MILLIONS of people!

From what I’ve seen it appears that Martin Luther is more responsible for once-saved-always-saved than John Calvin; though, Luther’s focus was more on “only believe” and infant baptism than Calvin’s TULIP.

For many Lutheran pastors today, infant baptism is all that’s needed — not even belief.

TRUE BELIEF

“There is therefore now *no condemnation* to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” – Romans 8:1 in a real Bible

“We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and HE WHO REMAINS IN LOVE remains IN GOD, and God remains in him. In this, love has been made perfect among us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, BECAUSE as he is, even so are we in this world.” – 1 John 4:16, 17

7. Luther believed it was justified – and evenly divinely ordered – that the peasants be slain during the Peasants’ War.

At first, Luther sided with the peasants. He made this plain in his Admonition to Peace. In it, he blamed the unrest on the rulers who persecuted the gospel and mistreated their subjects. He felt that many of the peasants’ demands were fair. And for the sake of peace, the rulers should accommodate them.

But after he observed how the peasants were behaving — causing chaos, violence, and anarchy — he changed his position. In his treatise Against the Robbing and Murdering Hordes of Peasants, he urged the princes with these words,

“Therefore let everyone who can, smite, slay and stab, secretly or openly, remembering that nothing can be more poisonous, hurtful or devilish than a rebel. It is just as when one must kill a mad dog; if you do not strike him, he will strike you, and a whole land with you.” [preemptive war – ed.]

As a result, the peasants were brutally suppressed.

The Protestant historian H. A. L. Fisher wrote,

“The manner in which he [Luther] dissociated his movement from the peasant rebellion . . . and the encouragement he gave to a course of repression so savage that it left the German peasantry more defenseless and abased than any social class in central or western Europe, are serious blots upon his good name. The German peasants were rough men and rough fighters; but their grievances were genuine, and their original demands were just and reasonable.” [17]

Here are some other quotes by Luther on the matter:

“Like the mules who will not move unless you perpetually whip them with rods, so the civil powers must drive the common people, whip, choke, hang, burn, behead and torture them, that they may learn to fear the powers that be.” [18]

“Peasants are no better than straw. They will not hear the word and they are without sense; therefore they must be compelled to hear the crack of the whip and the whiz of bullets and it is only what they deserve.” [19]

“To kill a peasant is not murder; it is helping to extinguish the conflagration. Let there be no half measures! Crush them! Cut their throats! Transfix them. Leave no stone unturned! To kill a peasant is to destroy a mad dog! If they say that I am very hard and merciless, mercy be damned. Let whoever can stab, strangle, and kill them like mad dogs.” [20]

“I, Martin Luther, have during the rebellion slain all the peasants, for it was I who ordered them to be struck dead. All their blood is upon my head. But I put it all on our Lord God: for he commanded me to speak thus.” [21]

Felix Manz (1498-1527) – Drowned by Zwingli for Rebaptizing — Manz wanted to bring together those who were willing to accept Christ, OBEY the Word, and FOLLOW in Jesus’ footsteps, to UNITE with these by baptism

From: geraldhsu.wordpress.com

Felix Manz (ca. 1498-1527)

Felix Manz, a Swiss Brethren Anabaptist in Zurich, Switzerland, and the first martyr of Radical Reformation was born in 1498 as the illegitimate son of a Zurich canon. Though records of his education are scant, there is evidence that he received good education, with a thorough knowledge of Hebrew, Greek, and Latin. …

Differences of opinion arose when Felix Manz and Conrad Grebel in the group demanded the abolition of Mass, tithes, and interest. Zwingli hesitated the changes (although he agreed with them on the Biblical basis for the demand). …

..the true Reformation in Zurich was indefinitely postponed. When Easter 1525 came (two years after the city of Zurich became Protestant), the churches were still having mass–but without sacrifice. They were still having infant baptism, and the cup was still not being given to the congregation. In essence, they were practicing all the Roman Catholic trappings of religion with only a few modifications. …

At this time the other magisterial reformers, Luther and Calvin, shared the similar view on the matter regarding infant baptism with that of Zwingli. Later, the followers of Grebel and Manz, radical reformers and Anabaptist (Literally Anabaptist means “re-baptizers”), refer to the magisterium as “partial reformers”. To the radical reformers, the magisterium have inherent commitment to the state church, not fully to the Word of God.

A public disputation on the matter of infant baptism was eventually held with Zwingli on January 17, 1525. The city council declared Zwingli the victor. …

On March 7, 1526, the Zürich council had passed an edict that made adult baptism punishable by drowning. On January 5, 1527, Felix Manz became the first martyr of the edict, and the first Swiss Anabaptist to be martyred at the hands of reformers. While Manz only wanted “to bring together those who were willing to accept Christ, obey the Word, and follow in His footsteps, to unite with these by baptism, and to leave the rest in their present conviction”, Zwingli and the council accused him of obstinately refusing “to recede from his error and caprice”. Manz was taken out of the Wellenberg prison and led to the fish market there by the Limmat. There his death sentence was read. He was taken to the butcher shop, and at 3 PM forced into a boat. He praised God and preached to the crowd.  A Reformed pastor went along, seeking to silence him, and hoping to give him an opportunity to recant. Manz’ brother and mother encouraged him to stand firm and suffer for Jesus’ sake. He was taken by the boat onto the River Limmat. At that time there was a small fishing hut located in the middle in the river.  Felix Manz was placed on the platform of the hut, where his hands were shackled and pulled behind his knees and a pole was placed between them. He was thrown to his death in an icy baptism [called the third baptism? – editor] in the cold waters of Lake Zurich on the Limmat. His last cry was, “Into thy hands, O God, I commend my spirit.” His property went to the government of Zurich…

Luther’s OSAS ‘only believe’ theme song “The just shall live by faith” is not only in Romans 1. Hebrews 10:26-39 shows what this famous passage really means

We had a big discussion on Facebook recently, and I shared this about Martin Luther in regards to who really goes to heaven.

Luther read “The just shall live by faith” in Paul’s introduction in his letter to Romans, and ran with his faulty interpretation to his own demise, which I’ll here show. And sadly, many have and still are following in his footsteps.

What the Bible really says about “The just shall live by faith.”

– –

Question:
“U bring up willful sin a lot where do u get that from Hebrews?”

My Answer:
Yes, ___, while in high school in ___, I found the truth about “willfully sinning” while reading through the entire New Testament on my own to see if the eternal security/once-saved-always-saved doctrine was true or not.

Hebrews 10:26-39

26 For IF WE SIN *WILLFULLY* after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains NO MORE SACRIFICE for sins [names removed from the Book of Life – Rev. 3:1-5], 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire [HELL] which will devour the adversaries.

28 A man who disregards Moses’ law dies without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses. 29 HOW MUCH WORSE PUNISHMENT, do you think, will he be judged worthy of, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the BLOOD OF THE COVENANT WITH WHICH HE WAS SANCTIFIED an unholy thing, and has insulted the Spirit of GRACE?

30 For we know him who said, “Vengeance belongs to me,” says the Lord, “I will repay.” Again, “THE LORD WILL JUDGE *HIS PEOPLE*.” 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. …

35 Therefore don’t throw away your boldness, which has a great reward. 36 For YOU NEED ENDURANCE so that, HAVING *DONE THE WILL OF GOD*, YOU MAY RECEIVE the promise.

37 “In a very little while, He who comes will come, and will not wait. 38 But *THE RIGHTEOUS will live by faith* [Luther’s “ONLY BELIEVE” theme song that he misinterpreted in Rom. 1:17 & Gal. 3:11]. If he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” 39 But we are not of those who shrink back TO DESTRUCTION, but of those who have faith to the saving of the soul.

It’s interesting that verse 38 in the Hebrews 10:26-39 passage, “The just shall live by faith” was Martin Luther’s famous ‘Eureka’ moment, and became his “ONLY BELIEVE,” OSAS theme song that most evangelicals loudly proclaim today.

But Luther read “The just shall live by faith” first in Romans 1. So by the time he got to Hebrews 10, apparently he was already indoctrinated, so he couldn’t accept its usage here, where being ‘just’ or ‘righteous’ requires holy living — not *willfully* sinning.

So instead of change his doctrine to require holiness, he concluded that 4 NT books were subordinate: Hebrews, James, Jude & Revelation.

The same “The just shall live by faith” verse is also in Galatians 3, where Paul was addressing the Judaizers. And we’ve seen what Paul then specifically said about who goes to heaven in chapter 5 and 6.

I was raised Wisconsin Synod Lutheran, and attended their schools K-12, but I was never told that Luther did horrendous things in his later life. “Only believe” justified his willfully sinning. This is what he wrote to Melanchthon:

Martin Luther: Sin Boldly — “No sin can separate us from Him, even if we were to kill or commit adultery thousands of times each day”

And this article is linked under the “Sin Boldly” article, which shows how reverse-Christian Luther actually became in his behavior. John Calvin was OSAS too:

The Protestant Reformers Were Frauds: By their Fruits You Will Know Them — Martin Luther was a false teacher, a racist, a persecutor and a murderer! John Calvin was a false teacher, a deranged tyrant, a persecutor and a murderer!

In his tract of 1531 against Duke George he boasted,
that people would in future say, that “his mouth was
full of angry words, vituperation and curses on the Papists” ;
that “he intended to go down to his grave cursing and
abusing the miscreants” j 1 that as long as breath remained
in him he would “pursue them to their grave with his
thunders and lightnings” ; 2 again, he says he will take
refuge in his maledictory prayer against the Papists in order
to “kindle righteous hatred in his heart,” and even expounds
and recommends this prayer in mockery to his opponent 3
in all this we detect an abnormal feature which characterises
his life and temper. This abnormity is apparent not only
in the intense seriousness with which he utters the most
outrageous things, more befitting a madman than a reason
able being, but also at times in the very satires to which he
has recourse. That the Papacy would have still more to
suffer from him after he was dead, is a prophecy on which
he is ever harping : “When I die,” he remarks, “I shall
turn into a spirit that will so plague the bishops, parsons
and godless monks, that one dead Luther will give them
more trouble than a thousand living Luthers.” 4

No theological simile is too strange for him in this morbid
state of mind and feeling. As in the case of those obsessed
by a fixed idea the delusion is ever obtruding itself under
every possible shape, so, in a similar way, every thought, all

License says you are free to sin.
Liberty says we are free not to sin.”

“When Paul says works he means works of the law.
[e.g. Gal. 2:16 & Rom. 3:28]
But when James talks about works he doesn’t mean that.
I think it’s better translated…with the word actions.
And what James is saying is faith without actions is dead
not ‘faith without works of the law.’

And he uses the illustration that love without actions is no use. …
Unless you act in faith you don’t have faith.
Professing faith can’t save you.
He says even the devils believe….”

“Faith without actions cannot save you.
It’s as dead as a corpse.”

Shocking video! Lutheran college runs with Luther's "sin boldly" statement — Gustavus Adolphus teaches sex-in-dorm etiquette

Church college teaches sex-in-dorm etiquette

Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., proclaims on its website that it is “a church-related, residential liberal arts college firmly rooted in its Swedish and Lutheran heritage” and its core values are excellence, community, justice, service and faith.

But one senior is wondering just where in those values he can fit a presentation to incoming freshmen that introduces them to the etiquette of having sex in dorm rooms without being interrupted by roommates and a “lesbian” who proclaims, “I like sex. No, I love sex” and tells students, “I am normal.”

The issue has been raised by student Phil Cleary on his Gustavus.campusreform.org website, where he has posted several videos captured at the 2010 orientation for freshman in the class of 2014.

The issue has been raised by student Phil Cleary on his Gustavus.campusreform.org website, where he has posted several videos captured at the 2010 orientation for freshman in the class of 2014.

The videos reveal promotions for the homosexual lifestyle: “Follow along and listen quite clear to learn of the wonderful world of the queer.”

“Freefall of the American University”: How our colleges are corrupting the minds and morals of the next generation

The presentation, performed as a series of skits on a stage in a darkened auditorium, explains that “sex” and “gender” are not the same. It includes another character who proclaims, “My atheism is my most important characteristic.”

Gustavus, the website states, is “a community where a mature understanding of the Christian faith and lives of service are nurtured and students are encouraged to work toward a just and peaceful world.” …

Cleary said he was “traumatized” by the sexually explicit presentation in his freshman year.

“I decided to come back as a senior to get it on tape,” he told WND.

He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If a man doesn’t remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned. … 10 If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and remain in his love. 11 I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full. 12 This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.

The Great Lutheran Deception Illustrated! A letter from the Lutheran high school I attended: "All graduates know that their life forever in heaven is secure"

Wow! I’m floored! Here it is laid out before my eyes — why I left the Lutheran church and never gave it a second thought. People, especially Lutherans, have asked me why I didn’t stay in the Lutheran church.
I received this fundraising letter recently from the Wisconsin Synod Lutheran high school that I graduated from in 1975. In About Jeff Fenske, I mention that there came this time in my life when I realized that I didn’t have love in my heart for all people. And I knew there wasn’t anything I could do in myself to get this love going. I had to be infused with this love from God, Himself.
This was the very high school, being surrounded by Lutheran classmates and faculty, even pastors, where I decided to check out every religion until I received from God the ability to love.
In this letter, notice the theme, in Christ alone. See how they use the term in Christ compared with how Paul uses it in Romans 8:

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death. 3 For what the law couldn’t do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh; 4 that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

The Lutheran church doesn’t even offer a legitimate start to be in Christ, for conversions are based mainly on infant baptism and confirmation — confirming something that wasn’t legitimate in the first place. Jesus said we “must be born-again.” Then we’re empowered to be able to not “walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit,” which we need to in order to be truly in Christ and heaven-bound, which I explain in detail in Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way.

August 2009

Dear Friend of St. Croix Lutheran High School:

Over the course of five decades, many things have changed at St. Croix Lutheran High School, including the location of the school, the size of the student body, the number of course offerings. But one thing has never changed and unites the more than 2,600 alumni. That one thing was summarized in the choice of the graduation anthem sung by the Class of 2009, In Christ Alone. All graduates of St. Croix from 1962 through 2009 know that their life forever in heaven is secure because of what Jesus has done for them. As long as God grants St. Croix its ministry to young people and their families, may we remain steadfast in educating the total student centered on the knowledge that sure hope is through Christ alone. The theme, In Christ Alone, will be the focus of our daily chapel services at school this year.

…as we well know, education comes at a price. … Your gift…is especially important during these challenging economic times. …

[Signed by St. Croix’s president and missions’ director]

This reminds me of our class song they played as we graduated: “When the Saints Go Marching In.” But how many of us were even really Christians?
This also reminds me of a question I asked the pastor who taught our confirmation class in Wisconsin Synod Lutheran grade school in I think eighth grade.
I asked the pastor if other people would go to heaven besides Lutherans. I still remember clearly the circle he drew on the chalk board. And then he put some dots outside of it. He said everyone in the Wisconsin Synod Lutheran church will be saved (those within the circle) and then there will be a few outside (the dots) who will also be saved.
I hadn’t read the Bible myself yet to know the truth. We had only learned the carefully selected texts taught us through Luther’s Catechism and other Lutheran sources. This indoctrination is actually a type of brainwashing or mind-control, especially considering in the millions of prayers (actually James-3 curses) that family and friends ‘pray,’ insisting that parents baptize the babies and the people believe the doctrine from little on. Thus empowered by religious spirits, the people fulfill the desires of their well-meaning-but-indoctrinated-themselves relatives, ‘pastors,’ and acquaintances.
This is why people feel so strongly about their faith even though they can’t biblically defend it.
But who really goes to heaven? According to history, Luther didn’t get it. He never did understand the way, as I show in my Luther Didn’t Get It posts. He even threw out some of the Bible (especially the book of James, but basically Hebrews, Jude and Revelation too) in order to try to make his grace-plus-nothing theory work. But it wouldn’t even work then, for Jesus, Paul and other New Testament teachers also taught that abiding in Christ, walking in Love is required.
It’s important that we read the Bible for ourselves, which I did, and may I present again my compilation of what it so clearly says: Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way.
May we be ONE by biblically and legitimately all being in Christ Jesus!
Freedom!

How the previous post, "What the Lord’s Prayer really says about FORGIVING…," came about

I thought I’d share how the previous post with the long title came about: What the Lord’s Prayer really says about FORGIVING. Jesus made it clear right after “Amen”: “IF YOU DON’T forgive…” vs. Luther’s Catechism: “God forgives WITHOUT CONDITION,” even “REVENGE!!!”
Recently, I was talking with a friend of mine, who also has a strong Lutheran background, about the who-really-goes-to-heaven topic. And I brought up the Lord’s Prayer. I was surprised to discover that she didn’t know that Jesus clarified the forgive us our trespasses as we forgive… line right after the Amen — so that we would all know.
So I thought maybe I should write a post about this, because perhaps there are many who have memorized the Lord’s Prayer but haven’t gleaned from the source material (Matthew) that Jesus kept right on going after the Amen: “For if you forgive…,” to make sure we understand what He means by “forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who sin against us” — that He really meant business. This is no trivial matter.
As I wrote the post, I thought: I’ll just check Luther’s Small Catechism to see if the part after the Amen is in there. I thought: probably not, which turned out to be correct. And I just now looked it up in Wikipedia [Does anyone know if Wikipedia is derived from wicked or wicca?] to make sure the the isn’t supposed to be capitalized in the Lord’s Prayer. Wikipedia outlines each phrase from the prayer while also not including the two verses after the Amen that are key to understanding the forgiving concept in the prayer.
So I found out for sure that the Small Catechism stopped with the Amen, with Luther actually calling this phrase The Conclusion. But I vaguely remembered Luther’s Large Catechism (not having read it in probably 35 years), and wondered if Martin Luther mentioned The Clarification (I’ll call it, verses 14 and 15, the two verses right after the Amen).
I discovered that he has a whole section explaining what he calls The Fifth Petition (“forgive us our trespasses as we forgive…”), and I include this in its entirety in the post. Reading it carefully, I was amazed to find that not only does Luther spin verses 14 and 15 into something other than what Jesus said, but he even included the revenge concept, which he seems to be so fond of, and attempts to justify it: in that we have much cause for doing it in our poor miserable lives; and because we’re already sealed and forgiven without condition anyway.
So I’m now sitting here, for the first time realizing that as a youth, I was formally taught from a book that professed that revenge is okay and that Jesus didn’t really mean that we must forgive others in order to go to heaven.
[Brainwashing; mind-control comes to mind: like how I see FOX News and so-called conservative talk-radio spinning evil as being good, and good as being evil. I document this deception with many different examples at ToBeFree.]
No wonder so many of us still need major deprogramming for us to become ONE, which is supposed to be normal for Christians, according to Jesus (John 17).
Notice, I include myself. The Bible is so amazingly clear if one reads it afresh, without bias, and with the Holy Spirit’s help. But the programming was so powerful! We were Lutherans, after all. We were taught to follow Luther without question — a man who didn’t really understand what real Christianity is.
Which is why many still respond to the question, are you a Christian? this way: “I’m Lutheran,” or “I’m Catholic.” We drank the Kool Aid as we were programmed to do.
Thank God I saw the light, decades ago, while reading the Bible on my own — though I’m convinced that somebody must have been praying for me, as the Holy Spirit helped me start to break free from the matrix.
But I still need more light to fully think and walk as a follower of Christ, Himself — Holy Spirit led — always walking in the love of Christ, manifested…!
May we be holy and walk free — breaking out of the traditional shackles, emerging as sons and daughters — unencumbered with disinformation — walking fully in truth and in God, having read the Bible again, to make sure — wishing each other well, having confessed our sins one to another, right with each other so we can be healed!!!!!!!
I can see us breaking free of the fog and into the light — on the mountain top where we can see clearly for miles and miles!!!
God bless you all!
May we be ONE in Christ — together — free — always!!!
Jeff : )

What the Lord’s Prayer really says about FORGIVING. Jesus made it clear right after “Amen”: “IF YOU DON’T forgive…” VS. Luther’s Catechism: “God forgives WITHOUT CONDITION,” forgiving even “REVENGE”!!!

Everyone who is familiar with the Lord’s Prayer should know that forgiving others is a salvation issue, for Jesus expanded verse 12 in verses 14 and 15 (right after the ‘Amen’).

But many of us only memorized 9b-13. In effect, we were only taught soundbites. And that’s how the great deception has been pulled off. Many don’t even know that verses 14 and 15 exist!

We must be holy — experientially — not just ‘legally’ (a theological term that is currently being used to deceive many).

The Bible teaches: we are only legally, in-God’s-sight holy if we’re actually living holy — right with God and people — enabled and empowered, given GRACE by the Holy Spirit to do so.

According to the Bible, we must forgive. We have no excuses. Forgiving others is a big deal!

May we be ONE in Him!

<< Matthew 6:9-15 >>
King James Bible

9 After this manner therefore pray ye:

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
.

<< Matthew 6:9-15 >>
World English Bible

Pray like this:

‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.

Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.

Give us today our daily bread.

Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.

Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.’

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Okay, that’s pretty clear, right? But verses 14 and 15 weren’t included in what I had to memorize in the materials I was taught from in Lutheran school and in confirmation class. We were taught our sins are forgiven, period. And that’s what Luther taught in his Large Catechism.
This is how Martin Luther spins Jesus’ words to mean something He didn’t say.
From: Martin Luther’s Large Catechism, translated by Bente and Dau by Martin Luther, not copyrighted.

The Fifth Petition.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

This part now relates to our poor miserable life, which, although we have and believe the Word of God, and do and submit to His will, and are supported by His gifts and blessings is nevertheless not without sin. For we still stumble daily and transgress because we live in the world among men who do us much harm and give us cause for impatience, anger, revenge [James-3 cursing? – ed.], etc. Besides, we have Satan at our back, who sets upon us on every side, and fights (as we have heard) against all the foregoing petitions, so that it is not possible always to stand firm in such a persistent conflict.

Martin Luther believed that we could not overcome serious sins like persistent anger and revenge [Luther actually stated that he intentionally cursed people daily], though the Bible in many places teaches that we must overcome [see: Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way]. The Holy Spirit enables and empowers us, gives us the grace to overcome temptations, to the degree that Paul taught: “No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” (1 Cor. 10:13)
Now Luther goes into his once-saved-always-saved theme. He taught that we are forgiven no matter what we do, no matter how many and serious are our sins. So he concludes that Jesus didn’t really mean what He clearly said. Jesus’ admonition to forgive others is merely to help us know inside what is true in reality, that we are already forgiven—because we can never be unforgiven.
According to Luther, we don’t have to forgive others in order to be forgiven (Jesus made sure we understood  this is what He meant in verse 12 by his emphatic statements in verses 14 and 15), we forgive others only so we can “obtain consolation to comfort the conscience.”

Therefore there is here again great need to call upon God and to pray: Dear Father, forgive us our trespasses. Not as though He did not forgive sin without and even before our prayer (for He has given us the Gospel, in which is pure forgiveness before we prayed or ever thought about it). But this is to the intent that we may recognize and accept such forgiveness. For since the flesh in which we daily live is of such a nature that it neither trusts nor believes God, and is ever active in evil lusts and devices, so that we sin daily in word and deed, by commission and omission by which the conscience is thrown into unrest, so that it is afraid of the wrath and displeasure of God, and thus loses the comfort and confidence derived from the Gospel; therefore it is ceaselessly necessary that we run hither and obtain consolation to comfort the conscience again.

So, according to Luther, if we willfully sin sins that lead to death, and feel guilty as a result, so that we lose our comfort and confidence before God, even being afraid of the wrath and displeasure of God, this is only an illusion. This fear is unwarranted (even though Hebrews 10:26-39 and many other scriptures say the opposite), and forgiving others helps us feel right with God again; even though, in reality we were right with Him all along.
Jesus said the opposite. We must forgive to be forgiven, and that’s why we feel right after doing so, because then we are right. Martin Luther was clearly a false teacher who was deceived, himself, and tragically, the false doctrines he taught are still widely accepted today!

But this should serve God’s purpose of breaking our pride and keeping us humble. For in case any one should boast of his godliness and despise others, God has reserved this prerogative to Himself, that the person is to consider himself and place this prayer before his eyes, and he will find that he is no better than others, and that in the presence of God all must lower their plumes, and be glad that they can attain forgiveness. And let no one think that as long as we live here he can reach such a position that he will not need such forgiveness. In short, if God does not forgive without ceasing, we are lost.

That’s precisely Jesus’ point. God does not forgive without ceasing, so many are indeed lost, having believed this lie.
We must obey — Jesus.
We don’t have to obey — Luther.
God’s forgiveness is conditional — Jesus.
“God forgives freely and without condition” — Luther (says below).

It is therefore the intent of this petition that God would not regard our sins and hold up to us what we daily deserve, but would deal graciously with us, and forgive, as He has promised, and thus grant us a joyful and confident conscience to stand before Him in prayer. For where the heart is not in right relation towards God, nor can take such confidence, it will nevermore venture to pray. But such a confident and joyful heart can spring from nothing else than the [certain] knowledge of the forgiveness of sin.

But there is here attached a necessary, yet consolatory addition: As we forgive. He has promised that we shall be sure that everything is forgiven and pardoned, yet in the manner that we also forgive our neighbor. For just as we daily sin much against God and yet He forgives everything through grace, so we, too, must ever forgive our neighbor who does us injury, violence, and wrong, shows malice toward us, etc. If, therefore you do not forgive, then do not think that God forgives you; but if you forgive, you have this consolation and assurance, that you are forgiven in heaven, not on account of your forgiving, — for God forgives freely and without condition, out of pure grace, because He has so promised, as the Gospel teaches, — but in order that He may set this up for our confirmation and assurance for a sign alongside of the promise which accords with this prayer, Luke 6, 37: Forgive, and ye shall be forgiven. Therefore Christ also repeats it soon after the Lord’s Prayer, and says, Matt. 6,14: For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, etc.

In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus clearly gives a condition to us in order for our sins to be forgiven: “as we forgive others who trespass against us.” “For if you don’t forgive….” But this didn’t fit into Luther’s forgiven-no-matter-what theology in which “God forgives freely and without condition.” So Luther concluded that James shouldn’t be scripture because it talks about the necessity of obedience, and Jesus can’t really mean what He is really saying — because it doesn’t fit into the once-infant-baptized-always-saved (OBAS?) formula. Luther turns Jesus’ crystal clear condition that Jesus emphasized after the ‘Amen’ into an unnecessary mental exercise, “a sign” that merely helps us appease our consciences.
We don’t really have to forgive because it’s all ‘automatic,’ anyway. Though Jesus clearly said we need to. This is the deception: OSAS — Once-saved-always-saved.
Jesus said it clearly here and elsewhere, as did Paul, John, and almost every book in the New Testament. We can’t keep willfully sinning sins that lead to death: lust, hatred (unforgiveness on steroids), lying, envy, etc. and be right enough with God and man in order to go to heaven. “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God” — Paul in Romans 8:14. It’s not automatic. There are strings. We must abide in Christ, walk in love, forgiving, having pure hearts of gold.
Jesus in Mathew 6:

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Let’s take a look at the two so-called great reformers of the protestant reformation:

1. Martin Luther was a false teacher, a racist, a persecutor and a murderer!

2. John Calvin was a false teacher, a deranged tyrant, a persecutor and a murderer!

The Protestant Reformation was a farce!

Martin Luther was not a great reformer like the history books teach, but he was a fraud!

Here are some quotes from Luther which shows that he taught the heresy of Once Saved Always Saved:

Be a sinner and sin boldly, but believe and rejoice in Christ even more boldly for he is victorious over sin, death, and the world. As long as we are here in this world we have to sin. This life is not a dwelling place of righteousness”

No sin will separate us from the lamb, even though we commit fornication and murder a thousand times a day.” …

your sin cannot cast you into hell” …

LUTHER WAS AN ANTI-SEMITE

Here are some quite shocking quotes from Luther which show that he was a rabid anti-Semite:

“The Jews deserve to be hanged on gallows, seven times higher than ordinary thieves”

We ought to take revenge on the Jews and kill them.” …

“eject them forever from this country” …

“What then shall we do with this damned, rejected race of Jews?”

“Such a desperate, thoroughly evil, poisonous, and devilish lot are these Jews”

“They are the real liars and bloodhounds”

“We are at fault for not slaying them.”

“I shall give you my sincere advice: first to set fire to their synagogues or schools and to bury and cover with dirt whatever will not burn, so that no man will ever again see a stone or cinder of them.”

“Second, I advise that their houses also be razed and destroyed.”

“Fifth, I advise that safe-conduct on the highways be abolished completely for the Jews.” …

“If I had to baptize a Jew, I would take him to the river Elbe, hang a stone around his neck and push him over with the words `I baptize thee in the name of Abraham’.”

Martin Luther was not a Christian man, but, instead, he was a brutal man who persecuted the Jews unmercifully.

The word of God calls Martin Luther a liar:

1John 4:20- If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

LUTHER CONDONED THE DEATHS OF A 100,000 PEASANTS

The peasants of Germany revolted in 1525 because of their miserable living conditions and were slaughtered at the behest of Martin Luther!

Here is a quote from Luther that will send chills up your spine:

“They should be knocked to pieces, strangled and stabbed, secretly and openly, by everybody who can do it, just as one must kill a mad dog!”

Are these the words of a Christian and a great reformer? I think not! Luther was an evil man who urged the slaughter of the poor who had revolted. He told people to knock the peasants to pieces and strangle and stab them. 100,000 German peasants were horribly slaughtered in the revolt!

JOHN CALVIN WAS A MURDERER

Not only was the founder of Calvinism, John Calvin, a great deceiver, but he was also a murderer!

Here are John Calvin’s own words about Michael Servetus:

[See: John Calvin Had Servetus Burned at the Stake — His Ashes Cry Out!]

John Calvin was not a Christian, my friends, but he was an egotistical tyrant and a cold-blooded killer!

How anyone can follow the warped teachings of this deranged monster from the past is beyond belief. …

In five years, 1542-46, Geneva, with 16,000 inhabitants, had fifty-seven executions and seventy-six banishments. All these sentences were sanctioned by John Calvin.

So instead of changing his doctrine to line up with scripture, Martin Luther decided to change scripture.

And tragically, much of today’s willfully-sin-and-still-go-to-heaven ‘Christianity’ is based upon Luther’s unbiblical, unworkable theory.

.
From: “The life and letters of Martin Luther” by Preserved Smith, Ph.D., 1911 (CHAPTER XXIII—THE GERMAN BIBLE, page 269). Also available here.

In the introduction to Romans (1522), he says : “This epis-
tie is the kernel of the New Testament and the clearest of all
gospels
, worthy and worth that a Christian man should not
only know the words by heart, but should converse with them
continually as the daily bread of the soul. It can never be too
much read nor considered, but the more it is used the more
precious it becomes.” Then, by way of explaining the apostolic
use of such words as law, sin, grace, faith, justification, flesh,
and spirit, he gives an excellent summary of his own doctrine.

Revelation he holds neither apostolic nor prophetic, for
Christ is neither taught nor recognized in it.

Again, when he was asked what were the best books of the
Bible, he said the Psalms, St. John’s and St. Paul’s epistles for
those who had to fight heretics, but for the common man and
young people the first three gospels.

The often quoted condemnation of James as an epistle of
straw is far better known than the more drastic things he said
about it to his table companions: —

Many sweat to reconcile St. Paul and St. James, as does Melanch-
thon in his Apology, but in vain. “Faith justifies” and “faith does
not justify” contradict each other flatly. If any one can harmonize
them I will give him my doctor’s hood and let him call me a fool
.

Let us banish this epistle from the university, for it is worthless. It has no syllable about Christ, not even naming him except once at
the beginning. I think it was written by some Jew who had heard of the Christians but not joined them. James had learned that the Christians insisted strongly on faith in Christ and so he said to him-self : “Well, you must take issue with them and speak only of works,” and so he does. He says not a word of the passion and resurrection of Christ, the text of all the other apostles. Moreover, he has no order nor method. He speaks now of clothes, now of wrath, jumping from one topic to another. He has this simile : “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” Mary, mother of God ! He compares faith to the body when it should rather be compared to the soul ! The ancients saw all this and did not consider the epistle canonical.

Luther’s marginal notes in one of his own Bibles are equally
trenchant. To James i, 6 (But let him ask in faith, nothing
wavering), he remarks : “That is the only good place in the
whole epistle
; to i, 21 (Receive with meekness the engrafted
word), “Others engrafted it, not this James” ; to ii, 12 ff.,
“What a chaos !” and to ii, 24 (Ye see then that by works
a man is justified, and not by faith only), “That is false.”

From: Canterbury Tales, Chasing Down the Luther Quotes about James

For your awareness, I provide a few more authentic quotes from Luther:

Therefore St James’ epistle is really an epistle of straw, compared to these others, for it has nothing of the nature of the Gospel about it.
(Luther’s Works 35, 362)

The epistle of James gives us much trouble, for the Papists embrace it alone and leave out all the rest…Accordingly, if they will not admit my interpretations, then I shall make rubble also of it. I almost feel like throwing Jimmy into the stove, as the priest in Kalenberg did.
(Luther’s Works 34, 317)

We should throw the epistle of James out of this school [i.e. Wittenburg], for it doesn’t amount to much. It contains not a syllable about Christ. Not once does it mention Christ, except at the beginning. I maintain that some Jew wrote it who probably heard about Christian people but never encountered any. Since he heard that Christians place great weight on faith in Christ, he thought, ‘Wait a moment! I’ll oppose them and urge works alone.’ This he did.
(Luther’s Works 54, 424)

Martin Luther: Sin Boldly — "No sin can separate us from Him, even if we were to kill or commit adultery thousands of times each day"

Both texts are from Scroll Publishing: Let Your Sins Be Strong: A Letter From Luther to Melanchthon Letter no. 99, 1 August 1521, From the Wartburg (Segment) Translated by Erika Bullmann Flores from: _Dr. Martin Luther’s Saemmtliche Schriften_ Dr, Johannes Georg Walch, Ed. (St. Louis: Concordia Publishing House, N.D.), Vol. 15,cols. 2585-2590.
Luther clearly believed in once-saved-always-saved false doctrine (also called eternal security) to the fullest extent! This is so sad. I was raised a Lutheran. No wonder why the church had no life.
What Luther actually said was edited out of the texts the pastors read in seminary, which is shown here. But nevertheless, Luther said it.
This is the opposite of what the Bible teaches.
This is the same paragraph as the one which follows, but this is from the Weimar Edition (first published in 1883), which apparently ellipsed out Luther’s most extreme remarks.

13.”If you are a preacher of Grace, then preach a true, not a fictitious grace; if grace is true, you must bear a true and not a fictitious sin. God does not save people who are only fictitious sinners. Be a sinner and sin boldly, but believe and rejoice in Christ even more boldly. For he is victorious over sin, death, and the world. As long as we are here we have to sin. This life in not the dwelling place of righteousness but, as Peter says, we look for a new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. . . . Pray boldly-you too are a mighty sinner.” (Weimar ed. vol. 2, p. 371; Letters I, “Luther’s Works,” American Ed., Vol 48. p. 281- 282)

Here is the non-sanitized version. Here, Luther teaches once-saved-always-saved to the max! And this is the main problem with America today. Luther started as so deathly afraid of God that he embraced a doctrine that he knew at least some of the NT writers didn’t even teach, so he would never have to fear God again, even when boldly sinning—until he saw Him face to face—when it was too late (unless he totally repented before he died—which I don’t know of an record of).

13. If you are a preacher of mercy, do not preach an imaginary but the true mercy. If the mercy is true, you must therefore bear the true, not an imaginary sin. God does not save those who are only imaginary sinners. Be a sinner, and let your sins be strong, but let your trust in Christ be stronger, and rejoice in Christ who is the victor over sin, death, and the world. We will commit sins while we are here, for this life is not a place where justice resides. We, however, says Peter (2. Peter 3:13) are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth where justice will reign. It suffices that through God’s glory we have recognized the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world. No sin can separate us from Him, even if we were to kill or commit adultery thousands of times each day. Do you think such an exalted Lamb paid merely a small price with a meager sacrifice for our sins? Pray hard for you are quite a sinner.

This is the exact opposite of what Paul taught in Romans 6:1-2 and elsewhere.

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?

Let’s be free!

Martin Luther’s Subordinate Bible Books: Hebrews, James, Jude & Revelation

History shows us that Martin Luther never did figure out what the Bible really teaches about salvation. By throwing out the baby with the bathwater, he ended up believing and teaching a treacherously false doctrine that is still leading millions astray, today.

We desperately need a reformation of The Reformation.
I transcribed this years ago from: Here I Stand: A Life of Martin Luther, by Roland H. Bainton, 1978, p. 259-261.

Luther read the New Testament in light of the Pauline message that the just shall live by faith and not by works of the law. That this doctrine is not enunciated through the New Testament with equal emphasis and appears to be denied in the book of James did not escape Luther, and in his preface to the New Testament of 1522 James was stigmatized as “an epistle of straw.” Once Luther remarked that he would give his doctor’s beret to anyone who could reconcile James and Paul. Yet he did not venture to reject James from the canon of Scripture [not true – editor], and on occasion earned his own beret by effecting a reconciliation. “Faith,” he wrote, “is a living, restless thing. It cannot be inoperative. We are not saved by works: but if there be no works there must be something amiss with faith.” This was simply to put a Pauline construction on James. The conclusion was a hierarchy of values within the New Testament. First Luther would place the Gospel of John, then the Pauline Epistles and First Peter, after them the three other Gospels, and in a subordinate place Hebrews, James, Jude, and Revelation.

I reconcile James and Paul in Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way.

Luther also couldn’t even reconcile Paul with Paul—the earlier, introductory chapters of Paul’s letters with the straightforward meat Paul introduces later in the texts.

What Luther did is what theologians call having “a canon within the Canon”—”a group of books or a body of texts within the Bible to which great authority or dominance is to be ascribed.” Most Bible teachers, today, don’t subordinate entire books of the Bible, but rather, they subordinate significant parts of most of the books of the New Testament in order to continue teaching false doctrines as fact.

Luther also misunderstood the distinction between works of the law (old covenant—which Paul warned against in Gal. 3, for example) and the necessity of being led by the Spirit or abiding in Christ (new covenant). Jesus didn’t replace the works of the law with nothing. Salvation isn’t “faith plus nothing,” as Luther taught. In fact, Jesus didn’t do away with the law (Mt. 5:17-20). Now we are to be led by the Holy Spirit—God in us—given at Pentecost. Now we are equipped/enabled/graced to fulfill the law’s requirements in a purer, deeper way which supercedes the works of the law. Paul said in Romans 8 [Gal. 5 is somewhat similar]:

(4) that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (13) For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. (14) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.

What the Bible teaches about salvation is very clear when we accept the entire canon of Scripture—not subordinating anything.

Martin Luther Cursed from His Heart Catholic Leaders, ‘Every Day’

From: The Catholic Encyclopedia, Vol. IX, 1910, Martin Luther.

It was while he [Martin Luther] was in these sinister moods that his friends usually were in expectant dread that the flood of his exhaustless abuse and unparalleled scurrility would dash itself against the papacy, Church, and monasticism. “I will curse and scold the scoundrels until I go to my grave, and never shall they hear a civil word from me. I will toll them to their graves with thunder and lightning. For I am unable to pray without at the same time cursing. If I am prompted to say: ‘hallowed be Thy name’, I must add: ‘cursed, damned, outraged be the name of the papists’. If I am prompted to say: ‘Thy Kingdom come’, I must perforce add: ‘cursed, damned, destroyed must be the papacy.’ Indeed I pray thus orally every day and in my heart without intermission” (Sammtl. W., XXV, 108). Need we be surprised that one of his old admirers, whose name figured with his on the original Bull of excommunication, concludes that Luther “with his shameless, ungovernable tongue, must have lapsed into insanity or been inspired by the Evil Spirit” (Pirkheimer, ap. *Döllinger, “Die Reformation”, Ratisbon, I, 1846-48).

Martin Luther Found Some Freedom Through Prayer & Resisting the Devil

No doubt, Martin Luther was greatly James-3 cursed for standing up to the abuses and false doctrines of the church of his day. His boldness impressed me when I watched the movie about his life in grade school.
Here, he talks about his struggle to get free of demonic temptation; though, sadly, he ended up in life cursing people back!
James 4:7 — “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

“Just when you feel that temptation is strongest
and you are most unprepared to pray,
then go to a place where you are alone,
and pray the Lord’s Prayer
and whatever you can possibly say
against Satan and his temptation.
Then you will feel that the temptation becomes less severe
and that Satan takes flight.”

Sex begins in heaven. God thought it up. He’s the designer. Our God is pro-sex.”
In the act of marriage, you have a life uniting act in a life uniting covenant. That’s where we can really be free and discover the depth and the mystery of sex.”

Drink water out of your own cistern, running water out of your own well. Should your springs overflow in the streets, streams of water in the public squares? Let them be for yourself alone, not for strangers with you. Let your spring be blessed. Rejoice in the wife of your youth. A loving doe and a graceful deer– let her breasts satisfy you at all times. Be captivated always with her love. For why should you, my son, be captivated with an adulteress? Why embrace the bosom of another? For the ways of man are before the eyes of Yahweh. He examines all his paths. The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare him. The cords of his sin hold him firmly. He will die for lack of instruction. In the greatness of his folly, he will go astray.

Plato said, ‘the soul is good; the body is bad.’ Well, enter fourth century theologian Augustine…. Augustine had some sexual problems and issues prior to becoming a Christian. He took some Plato into his theological writings.
Then later on, enter the great reformer, Martin Luther. Martin Luther also drug in some anti-sex stuff from Augustine and Plato, and he wrote about it. Thus you have the church perpetuating it that ‘sex is bad.’ And that’s why you have the church going like: ‘whoa, sex is just a result of the fall; sex is just like for making babies.’ …
Augustine’s thoughts on sex were not biblical. They weren’t. Plato, of course, was not biblical. And Martin Luther, when it came to sex was not biblical. God has given us sex prior to the fall, prior to sin. It’s a good thing because it’s a God thing.”
“As a believer, everything we do, say, touch and feel should be an act of worship.” “God, I yield everything to you, even my sexuality.”
“If we think right, we’re going to feel right.”

“God is love, and HE WHO REMAINS IN LOVE remains in God, and GOD REMAINS IN HIM. In this, love has been made perfect among us, that we may have BOLDNESS [‘confidence’ – NIV, ESV, NASB…] IN THE DAY of judgment, *because* AS HE IS, even SO ARE WE in this world.” – 1 John 4:16-17
