This song is so amazing that it’s too bad the recording ended up too harsh. It’s this way on the MP3 too. Perhaps they red-lined the meters and it was recorded too hot, so what we’re hearing is ugly, solid-state distortion [tube distortion is much more harmonic].
This song deserves another recording, perhaps a live, extended version!
