Jeff Fenske
In 1999, I attended a meeting in Tulsa, Oklahoma that ended up being one of the greatest blessings and still is one of the greatest challenges of my life.
For the first time, I stood in line at a public meeting to hear a word from God. Normally, I wouldn’t bother, but I trusted the prophet because of his integrity and humble spirit.
There are also many texts about those who are called to be prophets and prophesying, including:
“He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward” (Mt. 10:41).
“Don’t quench the Spirit. Don’t despise prophesies. Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good” (1 Thess. 5:19-21).
So I was eager to hear what God would say, but we were split into two long lines, and I ended up being lined up outside of the room in which the prophet’s son, whom I had never heard of before was prophesying.
I was a bit disappointed. But not for long.
I walked into the room, and a big smile came on his face, and he spoke this to me while a person held the cassette recorder (10/23/99):
“Thank you Lord Jesus.
What is your name, bro?”
I responded with: “Jeff.”
“Jeff, Jeff, this is kind of—I saw you before we ever got here to these meetings.
The Lord showed me—I saw you last night, and I saw you just clear as a bell before we ever even come here. And I said ‘Lord, if that man’s out….’ I saw you last night and thought, well, I’ll just wait. You had the beard and everything.
The Lord says, books! You’re going to write some books. I saw you come in here with the papers. The Lord says you’re gonna write some books. The Lord says I’ve put some things in your heart already. The Lord says, start writing them things down.
And He said what’s going to happen
