Who are the Children of God?

Who are the Children of God?

Scriptures compiled
and highlighted by Jeff Fenske

This is a simple, though I think a very profound study — perhaps even sobering.
It’s simple because it’s simply straight-forward sections of scripture that aren’t surgically micro-edited to bias the results. So far, I’ve chosen not to even comment other than by how I highlighted the texts.
And I think it’s profound because these scriptures reveal a much different message than what is the mainstream teaching of our day. Imagine the profound result of what would happen if what the Bible so clearly says would instead be the mainstream teaching in America.
What would happen if the Bible would be simply accepted for what it simply says?
May we always greatly desire to line up with the word of God no matter what.
[Technical notes:
I most always use the World English Bible translation (WEB), because it’s intentionally not copyrighted (so we can use it freely, for free). It’s also usually very accurate, and it’s based on the reliable Textus Receptus text (as are the KJV and NKJV).
Here, the translators took the liberty to translate sons into the gender-free title, children. From a strict literal perspective it would seem that it would be best that a translation not do this unless it claims to be a paraphrase. In seminary, this was considered taboo. But I suppose it depends upon how gender-free the term sons was meant to be originally. Clearly, sons is meant to include women as much as it does men, so I’m going quote the WEB as is.
Also, I’m highlighting in black and in blue. All links on my sites are in red; though, in my writings, I also often emphasize the word ‘heart‘ in red.]
If you think of other scriptures that should be displayed here, please let me know.
God bless!

Jesus in Matthew 5

9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same? 47 If you only greet your friends, what more do you do than others? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same? 48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Jesus in John 10

1 “Most certainly, I tell you, one who doesn’t enter by the door into the sheep fold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But one who enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out. 4 Whenever he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 They will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him; for they don’t know the voice of strangers.” 6 Jesus spoke this parable to them, but they didn’t understand what he was telling them.

7 Jesus therefore said to them again, “Most certainly, I tell you, I am the sheep’s door. 8 All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep didn’t listen to them. 9 I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out, and will find pasture. 10 The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.

11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who doesn’t own the sheep, sees the wolf coming, leaves the sheep, and flees. The wolf snatches the sheep, and scatters them. 13 The hired hand flees because he is a hired hand, and doesn’t care for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and I’m known by my own; 15 even as the Father knows me, and I know the Father. I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 I have other sheep, which are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will hear my voice. They will become one flock with one shepherd.

Romans 8

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death. 3 For what the law couldn’t do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh; that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. …

13 For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God. 15 For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God; 17 and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us. 19 For the creation waits with eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.

Gal. 5

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ [They that are Christ’s – KJV] have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

“There are millions and millions and millions of microscopic crosses holding you together right now.”

Sadly (this is so sad—because what preceded this was so awesome!), Louie uses the laminin, cross theory to support what is Satan’s greatest deception—once-saved-always-saved, OSAS, eternal security, “I’m okay; you’re okay”—saying the exact opposite of what Jesus taught in John 15 (“If you abide….”) and what the NT writers say elsewhere: Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way | Who are the Children of God? — “There is therefore now *no condemnation* to those who are IN CHRIST Jesus, who don’t WALK according to the flesh, but ACCORDING TO THE SPIRIT.”
The CHIEF PILLAR of Eternal Security (OSAS) Toppled! addresses this passage directly.

Giglio says what Jesus clearly did not say, no matter what Matt Redman’s song says over and over and over: “You never let go,” each time it’s played on the radio over and over and over (Positive encouragement — K-LOVE). Louie Giglio concludes this message with these words:

“He said, ‘I will hold you. Even when you let go of Me I’m not going to let go of you.’ Did you know there are millions and millions and millions of microscopic crosses holding you together right now. And one, giant, glorious cross of Jesus Christ is holding everyone of us that’s trusted in Him onto the Heavenly Father — and holding the Heavenly Father onto us. And it’s going to keep holding us onto Him, that cross, forever, and ever, and ever, and ever. We will never not be carried by the strong hand of the Universe-making God. And He will bring us through. That is the promise of the Everlasting God, Amen.”

This is the unbiblical eternal-security teaching (once-saved-always-saved). But what matters is what the Word of God actually says:
We have freedom in Christ if we abide in Him.
That’s what the Word of God says. We shouldn’t base our theology on a certain physical characteristic of God’s creation. We should base our theology on what the Bible actually says.
“Trusting” isn’t enough; it’s abiding in Him that counts. “Hope” isn’t enough; it’s abiding in Him that is real Christianity.

“Those who are Christ’s have crucified their flesh” – Paul in Galatians 5.

We must abide in Him and have clear consciences before Almighty God.
What Giglio concludes from laminin is hogwash. If you doubt that, please read: Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way | Who are the Children of God? — “There is therefore now *no condemnation* to those who are IN CHRIST Jesus, who don’t WALK according to the flesh, but ACCORDING TO THE SPIRIT”. This is the rest of the story that mainstream preachers won’t preach. They’re basing their theology on Paul’s introductions, not his conclusions, as well as what Jesus and other New Testament writers clearly said.
Whatever happened to the warnings that are so prevalent in the New Testament? Positive encouragement — K-LOVE now carries the day. We’ve re-written the gospel to the degree that America is now on the verge of total collapse.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” – Jesus in Mt. 7:21

We’ve left our First-Love — as ‘Christians’ applaud the teachers who claim we never can — as they did here.
“This is what’s destroying America” — God.

Making a Purity Covenant: Seven Practical Commitments

  1. prophetic word for IHOP-KC (march 23, 2008)
7 To the…church in Philadelphia write…, “8 I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you…have kept My word…10 You have kept My command to persevere…11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. (Rev. 3:7-11)
    1. The Lord will visit IHOP-KC with an open door of glory in the spirit and a door of ministry to the nations. When Jesus opens a door of glory to release more of His manifest presence then He requires more agreement with His heart (a higher standard of obedience). We are at a crossroads as the Lord will open a door of His glory. This is a promise with a warning (of judgment).
    • 51 You shall see heaven open, and the angels…ascending and descending… (Jn. 1:51)
    • 9 How is it that you (Sapphira) agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? The feet of those who have buried your husband (Ananias) are at the door, they will carry you out. (Acts 5:9)
    1. An open door to the nations causes the “spiritual DNA” of a ministry to be imparted with its good qualities and its deficiencies. Immorality is like an infection or virus in the spiritual DNA.
  1. Jesus requires that the Church not tolerate immorality
    1. The church of Thyatira was affirmed for growing in love and faith and enduring persecution. Yet, they lacked zeal to take a stand against all allowance of immorality in their spiritual family.
    • 19 I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience (endurance)…20 I have a few things against you, because you allow (tolerate, NIV) that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess…to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality… (Rev. 2:19-20)
    1. Immorality is “all sexual activity” that is outside the marriage covenant whether heterosexual or homosexual in all areas of life including physical, verbal or technological (internet), etc.
    2. Immorality in the Church grieves Jesus’ heart, injuries our heart and family (natural and spiritual) and gives Satan “legal doors of access” into our lives. Immorality causes Jesus to lose part of His inheritance in His people as well as part of their inheritance in Him.
    3. The church of Pergamos was affirmed for holding fast to Jesus’ name in a city so wicked that it was described as the place of Satan’s throne. Yet, they lacked zeal to confront immorality in the ministries of those who held to the doctrine of Balaam. For the story of Balaam see Num. 22-25. Jesus’ correction of a ministry or a person is not rejection but an offer of deliverance.
    • 13 I know…you dwell where Satan’s throne is. You hold fast to My name…14 I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before…Israel to…commit sexual immorality…16 Repent, or I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth. (Rev. 2:13-16)
    1. The sword of Jesus’ mouth refers to His power being released in our life by the command of His mouth. If we receive the sword of His Word it will free us but if we reject it then it will hurt us. He sends His sword as our friend or foe, depending on how we respond.
    2. Judgment begins in God’s house with God’s sword. If we voluntarily judge ourselves with the sword of God’s Word then He need not judge us in a more severe way with His sword.
    • 17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God… (1 Pet. 4:17)
    1. The option to reverse God’s judgment is offered to all who repent (Rev. 2:16, 23). Repentance dramatically changes things as it positions us to receive God’s mercy and our full inheritance.
    • 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart— these, O God, You will not despise. (Ps. 51:17)
    1. Jesus promised to make a way of escape for us both as a movement and as individuals.
    • 13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; God is faithful, who
    • will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. (1 Cor. 10:13)
    1. IHOP-KC made a covenant before the Lord on March 24, 2008 to consistently, comprehensively and tenderly resist all forms of immorality in our midst. In this covenant, we asked the Lord to open a door of glory with His sword of deliverance or His sword of judgment (if we refuse Him).
    • 10 It is in my heart (Hezekiah) to make a covenant with the LORD…11 My sons, do not be negligent now, for the LORD has chosen you to stand before Him…15 And they gathered their brethren, sanctified themselves…to cleanse the house of the LORD. (2 Chr. 29:10-15)
    1. The Lord will release bold zeal and clarity of conviction that is filled with the tender mercy of the Bridal paradigm. We seek purity that flows from humility and tenderness not angry holiness. We do not have to choose between zeal for high standards and tender mercy. We can have both.
    • 13 Mercy triumphs over judgment. (Jas 2:13)
    1. The Lord promised to release the “grace of immunity” which includes “amnesty” for our past failures before we made this covenant on March 24. Immunity is the state of being immune to a disease or the condition that permits resistance to disease. Amnesty is a pardon for offenses granted before the trial because of an act of forgiveness for past offenses.
    2. The Lord wants us to have confidence in God that we will not come under His judgment for our past sins as we make this covenant together. Confidence in God is essential to spiritual vitality. He wants us to know the immunity from the “infected thinking” of the accumulated affect of shame (for past failure), fear of rejection (in being exposed), hopelessness (of experiencing a breakthrough), and of giving up on our highest calling. He wants our commitment to be strengthened by confidence as we proceed together. We are to have solidarity as a spiritual family in our unified stand to bring this “Purity Covenant” to the nations knowing the enemy will strike hard in a counterattack against us.
  1. seven personal commitments before the Lord (6 month commitment)
16 Confess your trespasses to one another…that you may be healed. (Jas 5:16)
    1. Commitment #1: I commit to refuse to participate in conversations that promote or joke about immorality. If I do speak in this way, I will confess to those I was conversing with that I sinned.
    2. Commitment #2: I commit to confess to the same trusted friend (who embraces this covenant) each time I view pornography or have any sexual contact with someone (not my spouse).
    3. Commitment #3: I commit to register with the technology of choice that promotes the wisdom and safety of accountability whether or not I struggle with pornography. Accountability Software: These programs track your internet activity and send an email to the accountability partner that you choose. If you uninstall the software it triggers a report to your partner. See www.covenanteyes.com ($2.50 per month); www.x3watch.com (Free); www.integrity.com (free); www.accountable2you.com (free). Web Filtering Software: Programs that block sexual content including pornography, gambling, violence: www.integrity.com ($49.95); www.bsafehome.com ($49.95); www.intego.com (For Mac’s); www.cyberpatrol.com (39.95).
    4. Commitment #4: I commit to hold any confession of my friend’s failure in strict confidentiality. If I do speak it to another then I commit to tell it to the one who confessed their sin to me. The one who breaks confidence should confess also to the one to whom he broke the confidence.
    5. Commitment #5: If I “repeatedly” stumble in immorality, I will show the fruit of repentance by going with my friend to confess to the leadership and then accept the boundaries they give me.
    6. Commitment #6: I commit to share with the leadership if my friend “repeatedly” stumbles in immorality. I will first tell my friend before sharing with a leader to convince him to go with me.
    • 15 If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. 16 If he will not hear, take with you one or two more…17 If he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. (Mt. 18:15-17)
    1. Commitment #7: For leaders: I commit to follow the process of bringing those who ‘continue’ in immorality to the appropriate level of “discipline” instead of offering them “unsanctified mercy”.
    • 20 Those who continue in sin, rebuke in the presence of all… (1 Tim 5:20, NAS)
    • 5 Deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. (1 Cor. 5:5)
    1. We will not bring public shame to anyone who repents. We hope to never expose one’s sin publicly. There are many levels of discipline that do not require personal exposure.
    • 8 Above all things have fervent love…for love will cover a multitude of sins. (1 Pet. 4:8)
    • 9 He who covers a transgression seeks love… (Prov. 17:9)

A Biblical altar call = Wes Hall: Do you want to be free from that heavy yoke? The way out of that prison is by making Jesus Lord: "I am going to follow Him instead of follow my own ways for the rest of my life."

Transcribed by Jeff Fenske

“I just felt like there are some here. You are under that dark cloud. You are under that heavy yoke. But you don’t actually know Jesus. You’ve never said, ‘Yes’ to Jesus.

Do you want to be free from that yoke? You can be, but only in Jesus. It is the power of His blood of what He did on the cross, when He died and rose again. When He died, He took our penalty on Himself.

He died so that we might have life. He died to rescue us from ourselves, to rescue us from the penalty of our sin and our rebellion. And there is freedom in His name.

That heavy yoke, that heavy spirit will be broken off you when you confess ‘Jesus is Lord.’ He will deliver you from that — scripture calls it ‘bondage to sin.’ You feel like you’re in a prison all the time. You feel fear stalks you in the day and at night.

The way out of that prison is by making Jesus Lord — by confessing that He is Lord — and by saying:I am going to follow Him instead of follow my own ways for the rest of my life.’

You can say ‘yes’ to Jesus, tonight. You don’t have to wait another minute.”

“The word, ‘conscience’con means with; science means knowledge — withknowledge con-science.

Every time we lie or steal or lust or get angry or whatever without cause, we know it’s wrong. We know in our hearts it’s wrong. And that’s why no man will be with an excuse on the day they die and they stand before God, they can’t say: “Oh God, I’m so sorry. I didn’t know it was wrong to lie. I didn’t know it was wrong to steal. I didn’t know it was wrong to do these things.

No, we know right from wrong. Even in the deepest, darkest jungles of Africa, people inherently know it’s wrong to sleep with another man’s wife, it’s wrong to steal from your neighbor, it’s wrong to kill somebody.

In fact, people that live in a cannibalistic society have to be taught, they have to be brainwashed.

Same thing we do with our soldiers, right? We train them; we send them to boot camp, and we take out, we kill the conscience — Cremation of Care, if you will? We kill the conscience so that then they can do the things that evil men do without having to be convicted by their conscience.

Your conscience is a good thing. And you ought to listen to it more often. If everybody would, maybe they’d be a little kinder….”

Chuck Crismier: The "CONSPIRACY" of COMPROMISE — How the road to hell is paved with good intentions. We know Jesus said “Narrow is the way;” we just really don't quite believe it. The majority SEEM comfortable, but DEEP IN THEIR HEART is this haunting suspicion that something is wrong. It's as if truth doesn't matter anymore

I’ve been trying to understand why people don’t believe what the Bible says about who goes to heaven. Here, Chuck Crismier takes a pretty good shot at it; though, this isn’t the whole story.

Transcribed by Jeff Fenske from Chuck Crismier’s Viewpoint, 11/18/09 (audio linked below)

“In reality, the Road to Hell begins at what I call, Compromise Corner. Compromise Corner is at the intersection, really of all the major roads of our lives.  The decisions that we make, the terms that we negotiate at Compromise Corner inevitably lead toward what I call the Multi-lane Expressway to Destruction, even while we still believe that we’re heading in God’s general direction.

All compromise as it relates to God’s truth is compromise. And all compromise on issues of truth is deceptive and very, very seductive. [I would say because it’s actually often demonically empowered from within – ed.]

The great danger is that few travellers on this great Autobahn of Compromise, the ‘wide road,’ as Jesus called it — few travellers realize the seriousness of the seduction that they’re engaged in because they measure themselves and the correctness of their decisions by the overwhelming majority who seem to be headed with clarity and certainty toward the multi-laned expressway to hell [Did Chuck mean ‘heaven’? – ed.].

Now, you think about that. Jesus said, “straight is the gate; narrow is the way; few there be that find it.” But somehow, today, even though we know that. We know that’s what Jesus said; we just really don’t quite believe it. Why is it that we really don’t believe it? Because political correctness and its corollary of religious correctness have convinced us that in reality, the gate is very wide and the road is very broad, because God is such a loving God.

Well, that’s a new form of religious correctness. It’s contrary to what the Bible says. God is not just a loving God, but He is a God of truth and justice and judgment.

So there is this massive religious correctness that actually compels us to believe a half-truth. And it’s the half-truth that opens up the floodgates, the broad gate to Compromise Corner and then to the Road to Hell.

People reason that if popular pastors, para-church leaders and the seeming majority seem comfortable with their direction it must be okay; even though, deep in their heart they have this haunting suspicion that something is wrong.”

It’s as if truth doesn’t matter anymore.

Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way

Why are jealousy and envy in Paul's Gal-5 list of who doesn't go to heaven? & When you're a prophet, everyone wants to knock you down? Cursed for being prophetic, for being on target?? Don't people want to know the truth? & Prophetless pastors, what's up? We need each other to be 'ONE'!

I’ve been trying to understand, lately, why jealousy and envy are in Paul’s Gal-5 list of who doesn’t go to heaven.
Perhaps this is a clue:

“When you’re in first place,
everyone wants to knock you down.”

— Bob Chapman
(Transcribed by Jeff Fenske from The Alex Jones Show, 11/20/09)

Bob even mentioned the words, “jealousy” and “envy.” Instead of wishing others well and cheering each other on, LOVING our neighbors as ourselves, knowing that we’re in this boat together, “these people are vindictive” (I believe God said). They lash out, wish each other harm, which is reverse-Christianity.

Notice how many relatives of jealousy and envy are in Paul’s Galatians-5 list:

19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, 21 envyings, murders [James-3 curses?], drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

In the body of Christ, we need each other. We are all uniquely different and are all important. And when one does spiritually well in his/her role, the others have the potential to do better. We should be cheering each other on so the body will be healthy, so we can all better function under the Head, Jesus Christ.
1 Cor. 12:

18 But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body, just as he desired. 19 If they were all one member, where would the body be? 20 But now they are many members, but one body. 21 The eye can’t tell the hand, “I have no need for you,” ….

25 …there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. 26 When one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. Or when one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

When one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.” That’s how it’s supposed to be. So then why are the prophets getting dissed — those who speak the word of truth that would make the body more healthy, helping us to right with each other and to again be attached to and led by the Head, Jesus Christ?
1 Cor. 12 continues:

27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. 28 God has set some in the assembly: first apostles, second* prophets, third teachers, then miracle workers, then gifts of healings, helps….

So where is the acknowledgment of the prophets in the church today? Are they to be relegated to the “out of sight, out of mind” corner, never to be heeded? “We don’t need prophets. We’re doing just fine, thank you. And if you try to come out of your corner, we’ll shoot you down — James-3 curse you real good. Don’t rock the boat! We like our boat.” Even though it’s sinking, because “The eye can’t tell the hand, ‘I have no need for you.'”
So if I repeat the quote above that I started this discussion with:

“When you’re in second* place,
everyone wants to knock you down.”

Why don’t pastors seek out and find those who clearly hear words from the Lord for the church? Do pastors really think they can lead without prophets?
“Our only hope is to be ONE.” We need all who are called to be leaders to function together.
Let us be ONE!

International banksters twist Jesus’ 2nd Greatest Commandment as if it’s no longer hard for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven

Bankers say Jesus would have approved of fat paycheques

.
“Profit is not satanic,”
Barclays chief executive John Varley said at the historic St. Martin-in-the- Fields church on London’s Trafalgar Square, one of several top executives to argue that Jesus would have approved of their pay packages.

Bloomberg reports:

The 53-year-old head of Britain’s second-biggest bank said banks are the “backbone” of the economy. Rewarding high- performing bankers with more pay doesn’t conflict with Christian values, he said. Varley was paid 1.08 million pounds ($1.77 million) and no bonus in 2008. …

True enough, maybe, but is the church the place to make the argument? Jesus wasn’t famous for his love of money-lenders. Wasn’t there something about chasing them out of the temple? …

Brian Griffiths of Goldman Sachs spoke at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Bloomberg reports, where he argued that “The injunction of Jesus to love others as ourselves is an endorsement of self-interest…We have to tolerate the inequality as a way to achieving greater prosperity and opportunity for all.”

WITHOUT REVIVAL THE PEOPLE PERISH: Why the Present Church Doctrine Makes Revival Unlikely [Or Why Sound Doctrine Would Make Revival Likely]

WITHOUT REVIVAL THE PEOPLE PERISH
Why the Present Church Doctrine Makes Revival Unlikely
.

THE NEED FOR REVIVAL AND ITS DIFFICULTY

Dr. Stanley Monteith, host of many radio and internet hours on Radio Liberty.com, usually ends his program by asking the audience to pray for revival and for his ministry. He has stated that the only hope for saving America from destruction in the near future would be by revival. I think God will let Satan destroy America unless we can get back on God’s side in Satan’s war with Him. Many individuals need to revive spiritually but are unaware of it because many of today’s Protestant pastors do not teach congregations that they need to stop sinning. For the last fifty years in America that idea has simply been ignored – which is a way of covering up the need for it. For that reason the revival that is necessary to save America is very unlikely; it will require a lot of help from God and a lot of prayer from us because God will not help us unless we ask for it.

There are many deceptions that are keeping revival from occurring. The western world has been brainwashed and blinded to the need for revival. This is occurring in churches and in all the other major organizations that are in control of what people think and supposedly “know.” We are all living in an illusion created for us by the enemies of God.

Are those enemies affecting what the church teaches? “Dr. Stan” also repeatedly mentions that the message and the music of the church have been changed in the twentieth century – and it is not for the better. The purpose of the treatise you are reading is to explain in considerable detail how and why the message has been changed.

Before God ends the history of the earth his enemies plan to destroy the American civilization we have known. The destruction of the earth in “the day of the Lord” will be by God’s unilateral action; but the destruction of America is being implemented by deliberate actions of men who are led by the serpent who deceived Adam and Eve. God is allowing Satan to rule over us until or unless his “born-again” believers start following Him instead of the devil. As God says, they need to “humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chron. 7:14)

THE NEED TO KNOW THE TRUTH

The reader should patiently bear with this complex exposé of how and why we are being told things which are not true. Unless we understand how and why that is happening we will not know who our enemies are and what we must fight against to be on God’s side. And unless I can tell you the truths of the Gospel that are being concealed or covered-up by the brainwashing we have all received we will remain blind to the deceptions and continue on in the illusion to our doom.

For 50 years churches have avoided teaching about the consummate importance of living righteously and what will happen to Christians who fail to do so. Christians used to be told they could go to hell if they sinned, but not anymore. One of the church’s reasons for not doing that today is that it is being too “negative” about the gospel and using “scare” tactics instead of preaching only about God’s love for sinners. So they throw out the baby with the bath water. But there are several other reasons also, which we shall see.

The Apostle Paul’s writings contrast drastically with the doctrine most Protestant churches proclaim today that has been created mainly by using some of his statements. A mass revival will be impossible in America unless churches again teach the basic truths that have been omitted and concealed in the last two generations. The most essential truth is that believers who willfully, deliberately continue to sin against God and his commandments will not go to heaven; they will end in that “negative” destination that no one wants to talk or hear about.

BELIEVERS CAN GO TO HELL IF THEY CONTINUE TO SIN

BUT THE CHURCH DENIES IT

Believers can still go to hell for continuing to sin. Although the penalty for sin is death, we should realize that it means both physical death and hell. The term “the second death” is a euphemism for hell, because it really means eternal life in hell instead of heaven.

There are innumerable warnings about hell in the Bible which are not being taught to us anymore. There are four passages especially that hit the target directly. Hebrews 10:23-39 is the most frightening and direct about what will happen to Christians who keep sinning because they do not think they can stop or have given up trying. But three other very direct and compelling warnings that can be seen easily are in Galatians 5:19-21, First Corinthians 6:7-20, and Second Thes. 1:7-12. It would be well worth your time to study those three yourself and realize what Paul is saying to Christians today. We will study the Hebrews passage together.

PREFACE

About a third of the contents of this document was originally written to recommend to teachers of adult Sunday school classes a study of The First Epistle of John. That book inspired this treatise.
Now this paper has grown legs and is broken into a series of small Biblical studies that vary in length from two paragraphs to four pages as the Spirit moved. They are all exhortations on the importance of righteous behavior, so I call them sermonettes.  I have always wanted to preach!
Each message makes a fairly unified statement about its own title. Each one stands on its own two feet, so they can be studied one at a time in any order. Instead of a logical development of ideas, this book is a collection of different approaches to the same conclusion, namely, the absolute necessity of being a good person if you expect to go to heaven when you die. Being a born-again believer, I didn’t think that was either possible or necessary, but I have changed my mind.
You should expect some redundancy if the articles are read consecutively, since they are all on the same subject and pointed toward the same conclusion. It is probably more useful for you to choose a title that interests you from the list of “Contents” and then check it off after you have read it. (Or don’t check it off. I would be happy if you read it again accidentally!)
I have a doctorate in education, so I use teaching methods in my writing. Redundancy is valuable. It is like repeating your telephone number so it gets copied down correctly or can be remembered.
In case you cannot see it at first glance, I use the King James Authorized Version so I can find the references I need from my memory of the words I have learned. Besides, I find the language beautiful.

WHY I WROTE THIS BOOK

I personally am much farther away from being conformed to the image of Christ than the Apostle Paul was, but, by delving deeply into the Bible, I have now come to the conclusion that I have at least been “saved!”
I knew I had thought the right thoughts and said the right things, but I was frightened when I read the third chapter of The First Epistle of John. It said many things like this: Verse 6: “Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.” Verse 9: “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” Please see my message on “Some Essentials of the Faith” for other scary statements that I had never learned about the gospel.
I still have some sinful habits, and was not even trying to stop them. I had just been continuing “business as usual” most of the years since being saved. So, “Was I really saved sixty years ago, and am I going to hell?” That is the question those passages made me ask. I actually doubted my salvation. That is why I ask my readers to doubt theirs more than once.
It is very ironic that the First Epistle of John is the work that is most often cited to convince newborn Christians that they have eternal security. It did precisely the opposite for me! It frightened me.
To see if I could find some reason to tell God that I was saved, I did a lot of Bible study. The messages in this book were all written to me, and I now believe everything is all right with me. But I also know I had not been doing the most important thing God expects me to do. As the above verses say, he wants me to stop sinning!
I am very thankful he showed it to me in His Word while there was still time for me to do something about it. I cannot say for sure that it would have been a fatal sin of omission; and the fact that I now have started to amend my ways may actually be a validation of the doctrine of eternal security. But the thought was scary.
So this Bible study has changed my life. I now am in the process of deliberately stopping my sinning and am working to accomplish God’s plan for my life. I hope reading these little messages will do the same for many of my readers. If I did not think so, I would not have worked so hard writing and printing this book.
I love Jesus and now I am trying to act like he would act in every situation, and I see some growth. By praying for his help, I have learned that I am now able to resist temptations and stifle some evil thoughts and desires, which no one had ever told me I could do – and which a faulty interpretation of the Bible had convinced me that I could not do! I have faith that with the help of his Holy Spirit in me, I will continue growing to become more like Jesus, which I am now sure God wants me to do.

The Great Lutheran Deception Illustrated! A letter from the Lutheran high school I attended: "All graduates know that their life forever in heaven is secure"

Wow! I’m floored! Here it is laid out before my eyes — why I left the Lutheran church and never gave it a second thought. People, especially Lutherans, have asked me why I didn’t stay in the Lutheran church.
I received this fundraising letter recently from the Wisconsin Synod Lutheran high school that I graduated from in 1975. In About Jeff Fenske, I mention that there came this time in my life when I realized that I didn’t have love in my heart for all people. And I knew there wasn’t anything I could do in myself to get this love going. I had to be infused with this love from God, Himself.
This was the very high school, being surrounded by Lutheran classmates and faculty, even pastors, where I decided to check out every religion until I received from God the ability to love.
In this letter, notice the theme, in Christ alone. See how they use the term in Christ compared with how Paul uses it in Romans 8:

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death. 3 For what the law couldn’t do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh; 4 that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

The Lutheran church doesn’t even offer a legitimate start to be in Christ, for conversions are based mainly on infant baptism and confirmation — confirming something that wasn’t legitimate in the first place. Jesus said we “must be born-again.” Then we’re empowered to be able to not “walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit,” which we need to in order to be truly in Christ and heaven-bound, which I explain in detail in Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way.

Dear Friend of St. Croix Lutheran High School:

Over the course of five decades, many things have changed at St. Croix Lutheran High School, including the location of the school, the size of the student body, the number of course offerings. But one thing has never changed and unites the more than 2,600 alumni. That one thing was summarized in the choice of the graduation anthem sung by the Class of 2009, In Christ Alone. All graduates of St. Croix from 1962 through 2009 know that their life forever in heaven is secure because of what Jesus has done for them. As long as God grants St. Croix its ministry to young people and their families, may we remain steadfast in educating the total student centered on the knowledge that sure hope is through Christ alone. The theme, In Christ Alone, will be the focus of our daily chapel services at school this year.

…as we well know, education comes at a price. … Your gift…is especially important during these challenging economic times. …

[Signed by St. Croix’s president and missions’ director]

This reminds me of our class song they played as we graduated: “When the Saints Go Marching In.” But how many of us were even really Christians?
This also reminds me of a question I asked the pastor who taught our confirmation class in Wisconsin Synod Lutheran grade school in I think eighth grade.
I asked the pastor if other people would go to heaven besides Lutherans. I still remember clearly the circle he drew on the chalk board. And then he put some dots outside of it. He said everyone in the Wisconsin Synod Lutheran church will be saved (those within the circle) and then there will be a few outside (the dots) who will also be saved.
I hadn’t read the Bible myself yet to know the truth. We had only learned the carefully selected texts taught us through Luther’s Catechism and other Lutheran sources. This indoctrination is actually a type of brainwashing or mind-control, especially considering in the millions of prayers (actually James-3 curses) that family and friends ‘pray,’ insisting that parents baptize the babies and the people believe the doctrine from little on. Thus empowered by religious spirits, the people fulfill the desires of their well-meaning-but-indoctrinated-themselves relatives, ‘pastors,’ and acquaintances.
This is why people feel so strongly about their faith even though they can’t biblically defend it.
But who really goes to heaven? According to history, Luther didn’t get it. He never did understand the way, as I show in my Luther Didn’t Get It posts. He even threw out some of the Bible (especially the book of James, but basically Hebrews, Jude and Revelation too) in order to try to make his grace-plus-nothing theory work. But it wouldn’t even work then, for Jesus, Paul and other New Testament teachers also taught that abiding in Christ, walking in Love is required.
It’s important that we read the Bible for ourselves, which I did, and may I present again my compilation of what it so clearly says: Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way.
May we be ONE by biblically and legitimately all being in Christ Jesus!
Freedom!

Chuck Crismier: 7 Reasons Why Saints Are Easily Seduced Sexually And Spiritually

“It is the last time”

As ye have heard that antichrist shall come,
even now there are many antichrists;
whereby we know that it is the last time.

I John 1:18
.

7 Reasons Why Saints Are Easily Seduced Sexually And Spiritually

1. They are conforming to the ways of the world
(Rom. 12:1-2).

2. They “love not the truth”
(II Thess. 2:10).

3. They have “pleasure in [un]righteousness”
(II Thess. 2:12).

4. They do not truly love God
(I Jn. 5:2-3, Rev. 14:12).

5. They have lost the fear of the Lord and do not truly believe they face judgment (Mal. 2:17, 4:2, Psalm 86:11, Hebrews 12:25-29).

6. They “love the praises of men more than the praise of God” (Jn. 12:43).

7. They are not diligent “to make their calling and election sure (II Pet. 1:10).

Chuck Crismier with Mike Bickle: An incorrect understanding of Romans 8 closes one's ears to truthers and opens the door to PARALYZED Christian PASSION. 'Worship' then is a game. ~50% of 'Christians' are Heart Adulterers!

Good stuff!

07-30-2009 AFTER GOD’S OWN HEART Keys to restoring your passion for God w/ Mike Bickle Listen Save

•••

Chuck Crismier:

Wouldn’t it be neat if God said: ‘John or Mary or Suzi or whatever your name has to be, you are a man or a woman after My heart.”

“Here’s the reality. [And these figures are probably low – editor]

On any given Sunday morning, 50% or so of the pastors and people in the pulpits and pews of America are either adulterers or fornicators according to biblical standards. Yet they’re jumping and clapping and praising the Lord and preaching.

Do they have true passion toward God or are they playing a game?”

.Mike Bickle:

“No, that’s playing a game.”

___________

Chuck on “paralyzed passion”:

“We’ve got a passion problem with Jesus. We’ve got more passion to restore the American dream than we have to restore the love of our lives.”

___________

Chuck:

People will quote Romans 8 and they’ll say: ‘well there’s no condemnation in them that are in Christ Jesus.’ And so anybody who brings a message of wooing, of warning, of correction, of a call to righteousness, of a call to repentance is said to be bringing a message of condemnation.

So it’s impossible under that kind of thinking to bring people back into righteousness that paves the way for passion.

Mike:

That’s absolutely right.

Chuck:

And yet if people are receiving the word of correction which comes by the conviction of the Holy Spirit, but when they hear it they reject it, then they necessarily open the door to the condemner of their souls, which is Satan, himself, and they’re going to walk in condemnation, aren’t they?”

Mike:

“I think the key thought to me is that there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ who repent.”

Chuck:

“And who walk according to the Spirit.”

Mike:

Who are living in agreement with the Holy Spirit….”

Romans 8

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death. 3 For what the law couldn’t do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh; 4 that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace; 7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God’s law, neither indeed can it be. 8 Those who are in the flesh can’t please God.

9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his. 10 If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

12 So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

___________

Chuck:

If pastors were more focused on letting the beauty of Jesus be seen in them, as the song goes, we wouldn’t have 37% or so of our pastors involved in pornography.”

Mike:

When our heart is not fascinated with Him, then we end up spiritually bored. And a spiritually bored person is vulnerable to all kinds … to the arrows of darkness striking our hearts.”

___________

Chuck:

“If you look at the church today, if you look at the statistics for the last 25 years in the broader evangelical church of today, you would have to conclude that in fact there is no functional difference between the life and attitudes and behavior and values of professing American Christians and that of their secular counterparts.

Both religious and secular polls have proven that point for at least 20 years.”

___________

25 years is long enough to lose a country.

In the USA everyone goes to heaven. Even Ted Kennedy "went in peace and it was beautiful," said the 'priest.' It doesn't matter what Jesus or the Bible says: "Narrow is the way…. Few find it." "Without holiness no one will see the Lord." Deception at an all-time high! Americans are special.

AN Irish priest who comforted Senator Ted Kennedy on his deathbed has told how the dying politician insisted he was ready to go to heaven. …

“He expressed to his family that he did want to go. He did want to go to heaven. He was ready to go,” Msgr Tarrant told a local news station.

“Teddy wanted to go, he went in peace and it was beautiful.” Despite the sombre nature of the gathering, the priest recounted how there was “a peace in the room.”

The Biblical reference to only a “few” being chosen or saved can be found in Matthew 7:14, 20:16, 22:14, and Luke 13:23. Most Christians don’t like to dwell on this, or they think they are one of the “few.” How can so many be deluded? It happens when they don’t recognize that they are in the time of “a [moral] falling away” (2 Thess. 2:3).

Take Heed that No Man Deceive You: “FALSE TEACHERS are actually SPEAKING SPELLS…with the words of their FALSE DOCTRINES”

[WordPOWER!] I woke up today hearing "Psalm 19": Clean, Beaming, Shining … Free! Whereas Willful Sins Put Out Our Light — Separating the Body from Christ and Each Other!

Today, I woke up hearing “Psalm 19.” I thought I’d share it with you all.
From the Textus Receptus based and royalty free World English Bible:

Psalm 19

A main reason I like photography so much!

1 The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork.

2 Day after day they pour forth speech, and night after night they display knowledge.

3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

4 Their voice has gone out through all the earth, their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,

5 which is as a bridegroom coming out of his room, like a strong man rejoicing to run his course.

6 His going forth is from the end of the heavens, his circuit to its ends; There is nothing hidden from its heat.

The world says do what feels good. Satan says “do what thou wilt.” But life, joy and actual internal freedom from demons comes from obeying our Lord, being led by the Holy Spirit, the law that is now written in our hearts.

7 Yahweh’s law is perfect, restoring the soul. Yahweh’s testimony is sure, making wise the simple.

8 Yahweh’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart. Yahweh’s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes.

It’s amazing how probably the majority of preachers today say we no longer need to fear God, but how clean then are these preachers? Neglecting this detergent that Paul did clearly teach is destroying our land and many are perishing, forever.
For if the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, what do we have since we’ve discarded it?

Remove the fear of the Lord and remove wisdom, the cleanser that is supposed to keep us clean.

9 The fear of Yahweh is clean, enduring forever. Yahweh’s ordinances are true, and righteous altogether.

Our number one pursuit, our main focus should be righteousness with God and all people.

10 More to be desired are they than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the extract of the honeycomb.

11 Moreover by them is your servant warned. In keeping them there is great reward.

This reminds me of Hebrews 10:26-34 (For if we sin willfully…), which I explain in Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way. We’re in big trouble with God if we get presumptuous and willfully sin sins that we know dishonor God and people. From these we must repent in order to be righteous before God. The “fear of the Lord” detergent should keep our hearts clean.
…while David then asks to be forgiven from errors that are hidden from him, that he isn’t fully aware of. It’s the willful sins that people knowingly do that have deadly consequences.

12 Who can discern his errors? Forgive me from hidden errors.

13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous* sins. Let them not have dominion over me. Then I will be upright. I will be blameless and innocent of great transgression.

14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer.

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.

How Many Will Be in Heaven? How Many are Finding the WAY? Only 1 in 40 — 2.5%?!!

Howard Pittman was told this 2.5% figure at the gate of heaven 30 years ago (having died on the way to the hospital) — before once-saved-always-saved was mainstream, before internet porn even existed, before the low-cut-top epidemic hit America, when more people were honest, and hate and anger wasn’t off the charts.

The figure may be less than 2.5% now.

How many will be in Heaven ?

The Bible gives us a clue below when it says that: “few there be that find it.”  We might ask, how few ?

Mat 7:13 Enter ye in at [through] the strait [the narrow] gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way [road], that leadeth to destruction [leads to eternity in Hell], and many there be which go in [enter] thereat [through it]:

Mat 7:14 Because strait [small] is the gate, and narrow is the way [road], which leadeth unto life [leads to eternity in Heaven], and few there be [only a few] that find it.

Since the Bible suggests comparing a narrow way (road) with a broad way (road) to get the answer, let’s quantify this example.

A narrow way or road such as a single lane country road may be only about 10 feet wide.

A broad way or road such as an urban expressway with numerous lanes going both ways can easily be about 400 feet wide.

The ratio in this example is on the order of 1 in 40 (400 divided by 10).  How many will be in Heaven?  This example would conclude that only about 1 in 40 goes to Heaven.

Few (1 in 40) there be that find it (eternity in Heaven).

This is only about 2.5% of the world’s population making it to heaven.

Many (the other 39, or 97.5%) go to destruction (eternity in Hell).

Let’s examine another example.  On August 3, 1979, Howard Pittman describes (in his booklet “Placebo”) his near-death experience.  While the physicians were working on him, he suffered physical death.

During this death interval, he was permitted to watch 50 saints (true Christians) enter Heaven.  It was explained to him that “at the same time those 50 saints died on Earth, 1950 other humans also died; or only 50 out of 2000 made it into Heaven.  The other 1950 were not there.”

The ratio in this example is also 1 in 40 (2000 divided by 50).

Based on this example, only about 1 in 40 is going to Heaven.  (50 in 2000)

That’s about 2.5% (saints, true Christians) going to heaven, and 97.5% going somewhere else.

How the previous post, "What the Lord’s Prayer really says about FORGIVING…," came about

I thought I’d share how the previous post with the long title came about: What the Lord’s Prayer really says about FORGIVING. Jesus made it clear right after “Amen”: “IF YOU DON’T forgive…” vs. Luther’s Catechism: “God forgives WITHOUT CONDITION,” even “REVENGE!!!”
Recently, I was talking with a friend of mine, who also has a strong Lutheran background, about the who-really-goes-to-heaven topic. And I brought up the Lord’s Prayer. I was surprised to discover that she didn’t know that Jesus clarified the forgive us our trespasses as we forgive… line right after the Amen — so that we would all know.
So I thought maybe I should write a post about this, because perhaps there are many who have memorized the Lord’s Prayer but haven’t gleaned from the source material (Matthew) that Jesus kept right on going after the Amen: “For if you forgive…,” to make sure we understand what He means by “forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who sin against us” — that He really meant business. This is no trivial matter.
As I wrote the post, I thought: I’ll just check Luther’s Small Catechism to see if the part after the Amen is in there. I thought: probably not, which turned out to be correct. And I just now looked it up in Wikipedia [Does anyone know if Wikipedia is derived from wicked or wicca?] to make sure the the isn’t supposed to be capitalized in the Lord’s Prayer. Wikipedia outlines each phrase from the prayer while also not including the two verses after the Amen that are key to understanding the forgiving concept in the prayer.
So I found out for sure that the Small Catechism stopped with the Amen, with Luther actually calling this phrase The Conclusion. But I vaguely remembered Luther’s Large Catechism (not having read it in probably 35 years), and wondered if Martin Luther mentioned The Clarification (I’ll call it, verses 14 and 15, the two verses right after the Amen).
I discovered that he has a whole section explaining what he calls The Fifth Petition (“forgive us our trespasses as we forgive…”), and I include this in its entirety in the post. Reading it carefully, I was amazed to find that not only does Luther spin verses 14 and 15 into something other than what Jesus said, but he even included the revenge concept, which he seems to be so fond of, and attempts to justify it: in that we have much cause for doing it in our poor miserable lives; and because we’re already sealed and forgiven without condition anyway.
So I’m now sitting here, for the first time realizing that as a youth, I was formally taught from a book that professed that revenge is okay and that Jesus didn’t really mean that we must forgive others in order to go to heaven.
[Brainwashing; mind-control comes to mind: like how I see FOX News and so-called conservative talk-radio spinning evil as being good, and good as being evil. I document this deception with many different examples at ToBeFree.]
No wonder so many of us still need major deprogramming for us to become ONE, which is supposed to be normal for Christians, according to Jesus (John 17).
Notice, I include myself. The Bible is so amazingly clear if one reads it afresh, without bias, and with the Holy Spirit’s help. But the programming was so powerful! We were Lutherans, after all. We were taught to follow Luther without question — a man who didn’t really understand what real Christianity is.
Which is why many still respond to the question, are you a Christian? this way: “I’m Lutheran,” or “I’m Catholic.” We drank the Kool Aid as we were programmed to do.
Thank God I saw the light, decades ago, while reading the Bible on my own — though I’m convinced that somebody must have been praying for me, as the Holy Spirit helped me start to break free from the matrix.
But I still need more light to fully think and walk as a follower of Christ, Himself — Holy Spirit led — always walking in the love of Christ, manifested…!
May we be holy and walk free — breaking out of the traditional shackles, emerging as sons and daughters — unencumbered with disinformation — walking fully in truth and in God, having read the Bible again, to make sure — wishing each other well, having confessed our sins one to another, right with each other so we can be healed!!!!!!!
I can see us breaking free of the fog and into the light — on the mountain top where we can see clearly for miles and miles!!!
God bless you all!
May we be ONE in Christ — together — free — always!!!

What the Lord’s Prayer really says about FORGIVING. Jesus made it clear right after “Amen”: “IF YOU DON’T forgive…” VS. Luther’s Catechism: “God forgives WITHOUT CONDITION,” forgiving even “REVENGE”!!!

Everyone who is familiar with the Lord’s Prayer should know that forgiving others is a salvation issue, for Jesus expanded verse 12 in verses 14 and 15 (right after the ‘Amen’).

But many of us only memorized 9b-13. In effect, we were only taught soundbites. And that’s how the great deception has been pulled off. Many don’t even know that verses 14 and 15 exist!

We must be holy — experientially — not just ‘legally’ (a theological term that is currently being used to deceive many).

The Bible teaches: we are only legally, in-God’s-sight holy if we’re actually living holy — right with God and people — enabled and empowered, given GRACE by the Holy Spirit to do so.

According to the Bible, we must forgive. We have no excuses. Forgiving others is a big deal!

May we be ONE in Him!

<< Matthew 6:9-15 >>
King James Bible

9 After this manner therefore pray ye:

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
.

<< Matthew 6:9-15 >>
World English Bible

Pray like this:

‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.

Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.

Give us today our daily bread.

Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.

Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.’

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Okay, that’s pretty clear, right? But verses 14 and 15 weren’t included in what I had to memorize in the materials I was taught from in Lutheran school and in confirmation class. We were taught our sins are forgiven, period. And that’s what Luther taught in his Large Catechism.
This is how Martin Luther spins Jesus’ words to mean something He didn’t say.
From: Martin Luther’s Large Catechism, translated by Bente and Dau by Martin Luther, not copyrighted.

The Fifth Petition.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

This part now relates to our poor miserable life, which, although we have and believe the Word of God, and do and submit to His will, and are supported by His gifts and blessings is nevertheless not without sin. For we still stumble daily and transgress because we live in the world among men who do us much harm and give us cause for impatience, anger, revenge [James-3 cursing? – ed.], etc. Besides, we have Satan at our back, who sets upon us on every side, and fights (as we have heard) against all the foregoing petitions, so that it is not possible always to stand firm in such a persistent conflict.

Martin Luther believed that we could not overcome serious sins like persistent anger and revenge [Luther actually stated that he intentionally cursed people daily], though the Bible in many places teaches that we must overcome [see: Who-Goes-To-Heaven Scriptures — Narrow is the Way]. The Holy Spirit enables and empowers us, gives us the grace to overcome temptations, to the degree that Paul taught: “No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” (1 Cor. 10:13)
Now Luther goes into his once-saved-always-saved theme. He taught that we are forgiven no matter what we do, no matter how many and serious are our sins. So he concludes that Jesus didn’t really mean what He clearly said. Jesus’ admonition to forgive others is merely to help us know inside what is true in reality, that we are already forgiven—because we can never be unforgiven.
According to Luther, we don’t have to forgive others in order to be forgiven (Jesus made sure we understood  this is what He meant in verse 12 by his emphatic statements in verses 14 and 15), we forgive others only so we can “obtain consolation to comfort the conscience.”

Therefore there is here again great need to call upon God and to pray: Dear Father, forgive us our trespasses. Not as though He did not forgive sin without and even before our prayer (for He has given us the Gospel, in which is pure forgiveness before we prayed or ever thought about it). But this is to the intent that we may recognize and accept such forgiveness. For since the flesh in which we daily live is of such a nature that it neither trusts nor believes God, and is ever active in evil lusts and devices, so that we sin daily in word and deed, by commission and omission by which the conscience is thrown into unrest, so that it is afraid of the wrath and displeasure of God, and thus loses the comfort and confidence derived from the Gospel; therefore it is ceaselessly necessary that we run hither and obtain consolation to comfort the conscience again.

So, according to Luther, if we willfully sin sins that lead to death, and feel guilty as a result, so that we lose our comfort and confidence before God, even being afraid of the wrath and displeasure of God, this is only an illusion. This fear is unwarranted (even though Hebrews 10:26-39 and many other scriptures say the opposite), and forgiving others helps us feel right with God again; even though, in reality we were right with Him all along.
Jesus said the opposite. We must forgive to be forgiven, and that’s why we feel right after doing so, because then we are right. Martin Luther was clearly a false teacher who was deceived, himself, and tragically, the false doctrines he taught are still widely accepted today!

But this should serve God’s purpose of breaking our pride and keeping us humble. For in case any one should boast of his godliness and despise others, God has reserved this prerogative to Himself, that the person is to consider himself and place this prayer before his eyes, and he will find that he is no better than others, and that in the presence of God all must lower their plumes, and be glad that they can attain forgiveness. And let no one think that as long as we live here he can reach such a position that he will not need such forgiveness. In short, if God does not forgive without ceasing, we are lost.

That’s precisely Jesus’ point. God does not forgive without ceasing, so many are indeed lost, having believed this lie.
We must obey — Jesus.
We don’t have to obey — Luther.
God’s forgiveness is conditional — Jesus.
“God forgives freely and without condition” — Luther (says below).

It is therefore the intent of this petition that God would not regard our sins and hold up to us what we daily deserve, but would deal graciously with us, and forgive, as He has promised, and thus grant us a joyful and confident conscience to stand before Him in prayer. For where the heart is not in right relation towards God, nor can take such confidence, it will nevermore venture to pray. But such a confident and joyful heart can spring from nothing else than the [certain] knowledge of the forgiveness of sin.

But there is here attached a necessary, yet consolatory addition: As we forgive. He has promised that we shall be sure that everything is forgiven and pardoned, yet in the manner that we also forgive our neighbor. For just as we daily sin much against God and yet He forgives everything through grace, so we, too, must ever forgive our neighbor who does us injury, violence, and wrong, shows malice toward us, etc. If, therefore you do not forgive, then do not think that God forgives you; but if you forgive, you have this consolation and assurance, that you are forgiven in heaven, not on account of your forgiving, — for God forgives freely and without condition, out of pure grace, because He has so promised, as the Gospel teaches, — but in order that He may set this up for our confirmation and assurance for a sign alongside of the promise which accords with this prayer, Luke 6, 37: Forgive, and ye shall be forgiven. Therefore Christ also repeats it soon after the Lord’s Prayer, and says, Matt. 6,14: For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, etc.

In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus clearly gives a condition to us in order for our sins to be forgiven: “as we forgive others who trespass against us.” “For if you don’t forgive….” But this didn’t fit into Luther’s forgiven-no-matter-what theology in which “God forgives freely and without condition.” So Luther concluded that James shouldn’t be scripture because it talks about the necessity of obedience, and Jesus can’t really mean what He is really saying — because it doesn’t fit into the once-infant-baptized-always-saved (OBAS?) formula. Luther turns Jesus’ crystal clear condition that Jesus emphasized after the ‘Amen’ into an unnecessary mental exercise, “a sign” that merely helps us appease our consciences.
We don’t really have to forgive because it’s all ‘automatic,’ anyway. Though Jesus clearly said we need to. This is the deception: OSAS — Once-saved-always-saved.
Jesus said it clearly here and elsewhere, as did Paul, John, and almost every book in the New Testament. We can’t keep willfully sinning sins that lead to death: lust, hatred (unforgiveness on steroids), lying, envy, etc. and be right enough with God and man in order to go to heaven. “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God” — Paul in Romans 8:14. It’s not automatic. There are strings. We must abide in Christ, walk in love, forgiving, having pure hearts of gold.
Jesus in Mathew 6:

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

and that it would be seen and heard throughout the world.
He has seen the lame walk, the blind see,
and the dead being raised to life. …

Sid: Why does one doctor call you “the miracle man”?

Franklin: Well, I left my body for 21 days.

Sid: What happened? Did you have a heart problem?

Franklin: No, I had a ruptured colon, and I almost bled to death.

Where are you at?

Franklin: First I was at a place with my family,
then my wife and I went into the heavens.

and went into hell. That’s the sad part.

Most people don’t know, but hell is real.

The Protestant Reformers Were Frauds: By their Fruits You Will Know Them — Martin Luther was a false teacher, a racist, a persecutor and a murderer! John Calvin was a false teacher, a deranged tyrant, a persecutor and a murderer!

“If I had to baptize a Jew, I would take him to the river Elbe, hang a stone around his neck and push him over with the words `I baptize thee in the name of Abraham’.”

.
Let’s take a look at the two so-called great reformers of the protestant reformation:

1. Martin Luther was a false teacher, a racist, a persecutor and a murderer!

2. John Calvin was a false teacher, a deranged tyrant, a persecutor and a murderer!

The Protestant Reformation was a farce!

Martin Luther was not a great reformer like the history books teach, but he was a fraud!

Here are some quotes from Luther which shows that he taught the heresy of Once Saved Always Saved:

Be a sinner and sin boldly, but believe and rejoice in Christ even more boldly for he is victorious over sin, death, and the world. As long as we are here in this world we have to sin. This life is not a dwelling place of righteousness”

No sin will separate us from the lamb, even though we commit fornication and murder a thousand times a day.” …

your sin cannot cast you into hell” …

LUTHER WAS AN ANTI-SEMITE

Here are some quite shocking quotes from Luther which show that he was a rabid anti-Semite:

“The Jews deserve to be hanged on gallows, seven times higher than ordinary thieves”

We ought to take revenge on the Jews and kill them.” …

“eject them forever from this country” …

“What then shall we do with this damned, rejected race of Jews?”

“Such a desperate, thoroughly evil, poisonous, and devilish lot are these Jews”

“They are the real liars and bloodhounds”

“We are at fault for not slaying them.”

“I shall give you my sincere advice: first to set fire to their synagogues or schools and to bury and cover with dirt whatever will not burn, so that no man will ever again see a stone or cinder of them.”

“Second, I advise that their houses also be razed and destroyed.”

“Fifth, I advise that safe-conduct on the highways be abolished completely for the Jews.” …

“If I had to baptize a Jew, I would take him to the river Elbe, hang a stone around his neck and push him over with the words `I baptize thee in the name of Abraham’.”

Martin Luther was not a Christian man, but, instead, he was a brutal man who persecuted the Jews unmercifully.

The word of God calls Martin Luther a liar:

1John 4:20- If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

LUTHER CONDONED THE DEATHS OF A 100,000 PEASANTS

The peasants of Germany revolted in 1525 because of their miserable living conditions and were slaughtered at the behest of Martin Luther!

Here is a quote from Luther that will send chills up your spine:

“They should be knocked to pieces, strangled and stabbed, secretly and openly, by everybody who can do it, just as one must kill a mad dog!”

Are these the words of a Christian and a great reformer? I think not! Luther was an evil man who urged the slaughter of the poor who had revolted. He told people to knock the peasants to pieces and strangle and stab them. 100,000 German peasants were horribly slaughtered in the revolt!

JOHN CALVIN WAS A MURDERER

Not only was the founder of Calvinism, John Calvin, a great deceiver, but he was also a murderer!

Here are John Calvin’s own words about Michael Servetus:

[See: John Calvin Had Servetus Burned at the Stake — His Ashes Cry Out!]

John Calvin was not a Christian, my friends, but he was an egotistical tyrant and a cold-blooded killer!

How anyone can follow the warped teachings of this deranged monster from the past is beyond belief. …

In five years, 1542-46, Geneva, with 16,000 inhabitants, had fifty-seven executions and seventy-six banishments. All these sentences were sanctioned by John Calvin.

So instead of changing his doctrine to line up with scripture, Martin Luther decided to change scripture.

And tragically, much of today’s willfully-sin-and-still-go-to-heaven ‘Christianity’ is based upon Luther’s unbiblical, unworkable theory.

.
From: “The life and letters of Martin Luther” by Preserved Smith, Ph.D., 1911 (CHAPTER XXIII—THE GERMAN BIBLE, page 269). Also available here.

In the introduction to Romans (1522), he says : “This epis-
tie is the kernel of the New Testament and the clearest of all
gospels
, worthy and worth that a Christian man should not
only know the words by heart, but should converse with them
continually as the daily bread of the soul. It can never be too
much read nor considered, but the more it is used the more
precious it becomes.” Then, by way of explaining the apostolic
use of such words as law, sin, grace, faith, justification, flesh,
and spirit, he gives an excellent summary of his own doctrine.

Revelation he holds neither apostolic nor prophetic, for
Christ is neither taught nor recognized in it.

Again, when he was asked what were the best books of the
Bible, he said the Psalms, St. John’s and St. Paul’s epistles for
those who had to fight heretics, but for the common man and
young people the first three gospels.

The often quoted condemnation of James as an epistle of
straw is far better known than the more drastic things he said
about it to his table companions: —

Many sweat to reconcile St. Paul and St. James, as does Melanch-
thon in his Apology, but in vain. “Faith justifies” and “faith does
not justify” contradict each other flatly. If any one can harmonize
them I will give him my doctor’s hood and let him call me a fool
.

Let us banish this epistle from the university, for it is worthless. It has no syllable about Christ, not even naming him except once at
the beginning. I think it was written by some Jew who had heard of the Christians but not joined them. James had learned that the Christians insisted strongly on faith in Christ and so he said to him-self : “Well, you must take issue with them and speak only of works,” and so he does. He says not a word of the passion and resurrection of Christ, the text of all the other apostles. Moreover, he has no order nor method. He speaks now of clothes, now of wrath, jumping from one topic to another. He has this simile : “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” Mary, mother of God ! He compares faith to the body when it should rather be compared to the soul ! The ancients saw all this and did not consider the epistle canonical.

Luther’s marginal notes in one of his own Bibles are equally
trenchant. To James i, 6 (But let him ask in faith, nothing
wavering), he remarks : “That is the only good place in the
whole epistle
; to i, 21 (Receive with meekness the engrafted
word), “Others engrafted it, not this James” ; to ii, 12 ff.,
“What a chaos !” and to ii, 24 (Ye see then that by works
a man is justified, and not by faith only), “That is false.”

Therefore St James’ epistle is really an epistle of straw, compared to these others, for it has nothing of the nature of the Gospel about it.
(Luther’s Works 35, 362)

The epistle of James gives us much trouble, for the Papists embrace it alone and leave out all the rest…Accordingly, if they will not admit my interpretations, then I shall make rubble also of it. I almost feel like throwing Jimmy into the stove, as the priest in Kalenberg did.
(Luther’s Works 34, 317)

We should throw the epistle of James out of this school [i.e. Wittenburg], for it doesn’t amount to much. It contains not a syllable about Christ. Not once does it mention Christ, except at the beginning. I maintain that some Jew wrote it who probably heard about Christian people but never encountered any. Since he heard that Christians place great weight on faith in Christ, he thought, ‘Wait a moment! I’ll oppose them and urge works alone.’ This he did.
(Luther’s Works 54, 424)

From: The Day of the Lord is at Hand – Benjamin Baruch

TAKE HEED THAT NO MAN DECEIVE YOU

With these words Jesus began to answer the question his disciples posed of what would be the signs of his second coming and the end of the age.

The LORD’S first response was a warning, for the last days would be a time of great deception with false christs, false teachers and false doctrines abounding such that even the elect would find themselves deceived if they did not take heed.

Jesus continued his answer saying “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many”. (Matthew 24:5) There would be many who come in the name of Jesus Christ proclaiming the truth that Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah of Israel, yet they would be false teachers and false prophets, who would teach and deceive many.

The word for “deceive” is planao (plan-ah’-o) which means to go astray from the truth, to err, seduce, wander, and be out of the way. “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” (2Timothy 3:13)

The word used of seducers is goes (go’-ace) which means a wizard (as muttering spells), an imposter, a seducer! These false teachers are actually speaking spells and evil enchantments with the words of their false doctrines.

This is the terrible time Jesus warned us would come at the end of the age “Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning.” (1John 3:7-8)

The LORD warned us specifically to “take heed that no man deceive you.” The LORD does not give idle warnings, for the warnings and admonitions of the LORD are themselves prophecy of what would come. The LORD is actually saying: “In the last days, the majority will be deceived, take heed that it doesn’t happen to you!”

Not only is deception of the church possible, it was prophesied to happen! “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

Catholic Indulgences Making a Comeback — A "Door to Absolution" Is Reopened

The LORD is actually saying: In the last days, the majority will be deceived, take heed that it doesn’t happen to you!” Not only is deception of the church possible, it was prophesied to happen! “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

From: StarTribune, Indulgences: What’s old is new again

Indulgences — a rite in the Roman Catholic Church that harkens back to the Middle Ages and the Reformation — are making a return.

One of the newest things in the Roman Catholic Church is one of the oldest. Middle Ages old, to be exact. Indulgences are back. Unused for decades, the rites that the faithful believe lessen punishment for sins are now being offered by 15 churches in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis….

“Say I steal something from someone. The consequence of that might be that the person I stole from is under distress, so he goes home and is mean to his family, and then they go out and are mean to other people. A web of bad emanates from the stealing.

“I go to confession and am forgiven by God for stealing. But what about all the other people that were hurt by my sin? How can I make up for that?”

One way is an indulgence, which the church describes as “a gift of self or goods.” You can’t track down all the people you might have hurt to pay them back, Cozzens said, but you can “in effect, ‘pay it forward.’ The same way bad rippled out from what you did, good can ripple out.”

From: TIME, Why Catholic Indulgences Are Making a Comeback

It’s no longer enough to repeat a prescribed number of prayers; you also have to do good, such as volunteer at a soup kitchen, help resettle refugees or donate to a worthy cause. …

At the core of indulgences is sin, which can either lead to eternal punishment — i.e., hell — or time spent in purgatory, a place of suffering where imperfections are scrubbed away in preparation for entering heaven. Confession erases eternal punishment, but temporal punishment remains. Plenary, or full, indulgences are the equivalent of a get-out-of-purgatory-free card. Partial indulgences simply shorten your stay.

From: N.Y. Times, For Catholics, a Door to Absolution Is Reopened

According to church teaching, even after sinners are absolved in the confessional and say their Our Fathers or Hail Marys as penance, they still face punishment after death, in Purgatory, before they can enter heaven. In exchange for certain prayers, devotions or pilgrimages in special years, a Catholic can receive an indulgence, which reduces or erases that punishment instantly, with no formal ceremony or sacrament.

There are partial indulgences, which reduce purgatorial time by a certain number of days or years, and plenary indulgences, which eliminate all of it, until another sin is committed. You can get one for yourself, or for someone who is dead. You cannot buy one — the church outlawed the sale of indulgences in 1567 — but charitable contributions, combined with other acts, can help you earn one. There is a limit of one plenary indulgence per sinner per day.

If saying “Thou fool!” puts people in danger of hell fire, which Jesus said (Matt. 5:22), what about your other “little” sins?

What about “looking on a woman (or a picture of a woman or man) to lust after her?” (Matt. 5:28) Christ calls that adultery and God made that one of his basic ten “shalt nots.” (See Exodus 20, whole chapter.)

Are you guilty of such things as cursing people or mental adultery after you became a Christian? Most of us are.

We think we cannot help it, but we can if we have been born again.

[WordPOWER!] In Psalm 50 God Warns: "You have done these things, and I kept silent. You thought that I was just like you. … Now consider this…lest I tear you into pieces and there be none to deliver" (Hell?)

Praise God for giving us His Holy Spirit, Who will “lead us into all truth”—if we listen carefully, wanting to hear His “still, small voice.”

On occasion, while thinking of whatever, I’ll softly hear a chapter and a verse, or just a chapter, and I almost always find the text significant.

‘Psalm 50’ is one of those quiet promptings that I’ve heard a number of times, years ago, and kept looking it up each time. I’m still learning from it.

Two things struck me as significant each time I read it. The first related to the people who consider themselves children of God and who James-3 curse other people. I knew this was happening to me every day. Psalm 50 helped me understand that some of these James-3 cursers actually think God condones their behavior. But the reality is that if they don’t repent before they die, they’ll end up in a place of extreme torment from which no one will be able to deliver them. During the funeral, the pastor will probably say they are in heaven, but in reality, they’re being torn to pieces (v. 22), or something even worse!

I had a prophecy for a pastor who really had an evil part to his heart (many do in this evil age). The word was that the flames would be neck high if he didn’t repent and do what God said.

Psalm 50 is part of the old covenant, where God winked at behavior in comparison to what He holds us accountable for now, because now we know better; we have the Counselor, the Holy Spirit to “lead us into all truth!” Paul said in Acts 17:30:

“And the times of this ignorance (old covenant) God winked at; but now (new covenant) commandeth all men every where to repent.”

Jesus also taught that the new covenant is far stricter than the old saying in the sermons of the mount, Mt. 5:

21 “You have heard that it was said to the ancient ones, ‘You shall not murder;’ and ‘Whoever shall murder shall be in danger of the judgment.’ 22 But I tell you, that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment…; and whoever shall say, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of the fire of Gehenna.

27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery;’ 28 but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her…. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna.

And even though Psalm 50 is old covenant, when God “winked at” sin in comparison to now, people who thought they were covered with the blood were actually headed for eternal torment simply for saying deceitful and slanderous things!
